Opinions de The Preserve At 405 Syracuse
Decent place. Good food. Bit up there in price, but not too crazy. They should clean up the waiting area a bit though.
Wife and I gave this place a try for date night last week and ended up loving it so much we came back again a week later! Service is amazing (we had Aaron the first week, John the second), drinks were spectacular, the food is amazing. We had spicy garlic BBQ wings, pickle chips, "Mr Abnormal" pizza and spicy chicken riggies. Can't wait to go back again! Oh, and highly highly recommend a reservation.
Great food for dine in or take out! Menu is diverse. You can get pizza, burgers, sandwiches, salads or steak. The tomato & mozzarella salad was really good. The coconut shrimp was delicious - the sauce was sweet and spicy! The Becky pizza looked really good - garlic broccoli. And chicken tenders and fries for the kids
The Preserve is always our go to spot for a business lunch. My manager gets the riggies every time and LOVES them and I adore their salmon salad Definitely a great place to go for a higher end lunch experience.
Food was fantastic! I had Filet Mignon for my first time and OMG! Best thing ever. Wife had the salmon which was pretty good too. I like the atmosphere and the people there are pretty nice I've never had any problems anytime i've been there. One of my new fav spots for sure!
I have never had a bad meal at The preserve. In fact I drive an hour and a half from Rochester to eat there. Excellent food choices and excellent service. It's loud and parking is difficult but those are symptoms of a rocking restaurant that's doing a great job.
A pleasant place to come to eat. The food and drinks were very good. We did not have to wait to be seated but to get a table you can make reservations. The wait staff were prompt and professional. When you come to this place I recommend their coconut shrimp and their mozzarella wedges for appetizers. The pizza selection is also very good and I recommend the veggie pizza and the house pizza. Overall this place has a nice vibe to it and I will be back to try out some more things on the menu.
Guys. I don’t normally write reviews because, like ugh I don’t have time. But this place is worth the hype. I got the yuzu drink and it tasted like lemonade but I’m pretty hammered right now so there was a lot more than lemon aid goin on with it. We also got the nachos with steak and let’s begin with that: the chips were crispy and flavorful, the cheese was layered with flavors, like I can’t even describe it, the JALEPENOS!! Idk if they make their own but they were pickled but not soft, crisp with a lovely tang and heat. The STEAK, was so good I was picking it out just to taste it. Even the tomatoes had this lovely seasoned-ness. Amazing. Then I got the corn beef sliders with SWEET POTATO FRIES. I can’t. The fries might be one of the top ones things I ever put in my mouth. 😉 😝 They ate crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and they come with maple butter OMG. The sliders were hot and tender, not at all dry, and the buns were perfectly soft. The serving staff was friendly and professional. The only thing I will say is that as a short girlie the chairs are not great. Too tall and narrow so you can’t touch the floor or curl up comfortably. But have a couple yuzus and you won’t care! Eat here. Just do it.
A Cozy Gem with Delicious Food The Preserve offers a delightful dining experience, combining a cozy ambiance with exceptional service. Our server, Cleopatra, was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. The food was a highlight. The generous portions were more than satisfying, and the flavors were truly impressive. We indulged in the nachos, chicken riggies, and seafood scampi, each dish exceeding our expectations. If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy delicious food, The Preserve is definitely worth a visit.
Really enjoyed this. Went for lunch after running in the area with friends. Chicken riggies pizza was outstanding. Drink was tasty. Service was pretty quick and attentive. Others in the party enjoyed their pizza and lobster rolls. Great, modern feeling location. Decent wine and beer list. Small parking lot.
We had the most wonderful experience at The Preserve today. We visited from Canada and decided we’d go here for the first time based on other reviews. We arrived around 12pm and had no wait for a table. The waitress we had was very friendly and asked us what else we had been doing during our day in Syracuse. The wait for our food was very reasonable and we both loved our dishes. We ordered the turkey club and a cheeseburger. The bread and bun were fresh and the meat was flavourful. My burger was cooked to perfection and I hear the turkey club was the best one ever! We really enjoyed the fries we had on the side as well. We will 100% be back during our next visit to The Salt City!
Im not sure what to think. Is it a fancy place trying to be casual? A casual place trying to be fancy? None of the above? Came here with friends. Im not a local but they suggested it. The parking lot is not huge, and was very tight. And seems like a lot of the patrons drove there while blindfolded. It was impossible to drive a pickup through the lot to find a space, pretty sure I parked on the lawn. Who knows, seemed like a parking free for all. I was wearing khakis and a polo. When I walked in I felt underdressed, and continued to feel that way until a group of construction workers sat at the next table. With reservations I was seated promptly. I dont think walk-in is advised. Drink service was crazy slow. I was the first in our party to arrive, and it still took about 15 minutes after I ordered to get my drink, an Arnold Palmer with no booze. Server was incredibly polite throughout, but I had to ask for a second drink 3 times before I got it. I had turkey & wild rice soup for dinner and it was delicious. People atthe table next to us were celebrating an adults birthday and were having a grand time. Pretty sure there was a table with a couple who were newly married. Well rou ded groups. My total was about $25. Seemed high. I never really got comfortable and probably won't be back.
Food was average. Nothing special. Overpriced. Got home and looked at what seemed to be an extremely old piece of cheesecake. The strawberry topping looks like preserves and its so old the the red from the top has stained the top half of the cheesecake. One cocktail, one soda, a club sandwich, salmon and cheesecheese cake at $80.
Things started out ok. Meatballs and deep fried Mozerella for appetizers were both really good. We must have waited for an hour after our order was placed. I think somebody dropped the ball, however, after our initial drink orders were taken our waitress never came back to see if anyone wanted another, which they did. My Lobster roll was dry and warm. The fries that came with it numbered in the hundreds. I wish there were a few more options for sides. The atmosphere was good and we were with family we don't see that often, so the long wait at least gave us more time to hang out together.
I just don't get the hype about this place. Went in, had reservations, they tried to call back and cancel them saying they were to fill, but when we actually sat there were a lot of open tables. Sat at the bar, that was fine. But the dinning was such an experience. We got a waitress that I don't know, had something against one of us, or maybe it was that we brought a disabled kid in. I actually don't know but it sucked. Sat us, waited 40min to give us water and take our order. I had to ask for my water to be refilled, my cousin has to ask for her drink 3 times. The waitress did not tell us the specials, we had to ask about the soup of the day, she was irritated that we asked what dressing for salad they had. The food came out in two runs, maybe 10min between, she put a piping hot plate of chicken fingers in front of a child and didn't warn anyone at how hot the plate was. We had to ask for to go containers twice, and then she didn't bring enough. The food was just ok. Nothing special. And for the high price I would say a disappointment. The dining area was so loud, they could really use foam under their tables. Oh and the bathroom stall doors were gross! I will not be going back. It's to expensive for the experience.
Hostess never told anyone we'd been seated. 20 minutes went by before a very sweet waitress passed through, noticed, and took care of us. My burger was a 10/10. My husband's chicken caprese was flavorless, the mashed potatoes had been warmed in the microwave and had cold spots, and several of the asparagus sprigs weren't fully cooked. The waitress was amazing at least. Unfortunately not worth coming back to.
When The Preserve first opened, I read several articles about the restaurant that peaked my interest. But, today was the first chance I've had to stop here for lunch. The decor is modern, you might even say chic, and most of the patrons we're young adults having a good time eating and drinking with friends. I ordered a cheeseburger with french fries. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the bright, cheerful environment. The burger was not overcooked, but it was under seasoned and quite dry. My guess is they use very lean chopped beef, accounting for dryness and lack of flavor of the patty. The even char on the surface combined with the lack of distinct grill-bar marks suggest they cook their burgers on a flat-top grill. The french fries were warm and creamy inside, but quite limp on the outside. So, that was another disappointment. My server was busy but efficient. When I asked her how the burgers were cooked, she said she didn't know whether they were griddled or flame grilled. This must mean the servers never set foot in the kitchen, or they've been instructed not to answer that question.
The service was horrible! Went with a couple girlfriends, someone recommended we try them out. The waitress was rude, not helpful, and just plain unavailable. After already waiting an hour for our food the waitress comes over and tells me they don’t have the specific pasta that goes with the meal I ordered (a whole hour ago) and asked if I wanted something else. She didn’t have any suggestions, didn’t offer to bring the menu back and was very unapologetic. I ended up getting a different pasta noodle with my order. The manager comes over and was very confrontational. She actually did apologize for not having the correct pasta which I appreciated but she was snappy and short, everyone starred at us while we talked to the manager (very uncomfortable) when the food did arrive one of my girlfriends steak was very dry and very well done, she ordered medium rare. Another girlfriend’s BLT that she ordered with no tomato came dripping in tomato and tomatoes juice. After the manager was rude to us one of my girlfriends just flat out did not want her food anymore. My chicken Alfredo was actually not bad but overall we will not be returning, and I do not recommend
