OMG!! Ive been traveling all the way from Houston then Galveston through entire Coastline to here and NOBODY, BUT NOBODY can even come CLOSE to the 5-STAR SERVICE AND FACILITY CLEANLINESS that Taft's Crew has!!😃👍💯👌 1st time here and I AM BLOWN AWAY by this Crew and Shop!! WHATABURGER NEEDS to make this store a TRAINING STORE and CLONE THIS ENTIRE MORNING CREW!! Starting with my Wonderful cashier SARAH with GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH A SMILE and VERY EFFICIENT AS WELL, ROBIN who was very helpful when I needed information, MARTÍN who's SUPER POLITE AND FRIENDLY manner STOOD OUT just by the way he greeted EVERYONE and took care of them ,to the Mgr. PRISCILLA who's got EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE ON POINT BUDDY with making sure EVERYTHING is on track and food is dropped when it's supposed to be so nobody's waiting on ANYTHING, to offering her great apple pies to EVERYONE, to making sure her parking lot is clean and presentable as well...maintaining a WONDERDUL STANDARD, WHATABURGER NEEDS TO CLONE HER OR MAKE HER A MGMT TRAINER...SERIOUSLY!!😃👌💯 EVERYONE IS BUSY BUSY CLEANING, ORGANIZING, HELPING EACH OTHER OUT!! Don't go to 14th Street sloppy burgers. The one on the highway is way better service and food made with love 💪🏽 trust me!

I think this is the smallest Whataburger I've ever been to. The quality is there and the service is pretty good. Friendly staff who know there job. Good job Taft staff!

The cashier at the window was wonderful she showed me how to use the app very easily and had so much patience with me I am very grateful

I normally don't eat fast food for a number of different reasons but I will say this about this particular Whataburger. They have it going on at this one. They always get your order right and quick. The wife always have to order something special and they get it right every time.

Best Whataburger I’ve ever been in. Went 7/30 in the evening. The place is small, but it’s the cleanest WB I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot. The team running the store was great. You could see they were happy to help and having fun at work, which makes the guest experience 10X better. Food was perfect.

Went through the drive thru this afternoon and I have to say it was refreshing to be assisted by someone who listened and knew what they were doing. Bella, you are awesome.....very efficient and nice. You take pride in your work and it shows. Your manager should be very happy to have you on his/her team. :)

I'm gonna need y'all to listen up: I've been to many Whataburgers all across Texas, and I'll spend my life defending it against In-N-Out...but when I say that this Whataburger is top-tier, you can bet your South Texas sunburn that it is. Fries were hot and crispy, chicken was perfectly fried, and the burgers are top-notch. My love for this location is higher than the highest fructose corn syrup.

I do not know if I should be proud or scared that some of the employees recognize me because I come here so much. Burgers are awesome, substitutions are welcome and encouraged to get the best meal, and the order is correct 95% of the time. There is always the small chance of human error or misunderstanding. However, this place generally will fix whatever mistakes are made. My current favorite as of this year are the various chicken sandwiches. The double meat junior is also another favorite. If you get onion rings, be sure to get the jalapeno ranch for dipping.

Food was AMAZING!!! Was just passing through glad we did. Restaurant was clean staff were awesome. Will be back. The freshness bob ive had food came out quickly and prefect. Thanks Taft!

Everything you'd expect st a Whataburger. Bathroom is small, dining room is small but serves its purpose.

Because I some time I'm order I forget something. & They offer something. If I need up size my order. Or need a pie. And the people talk with you. It makes you matter of you are not a color or look. I was just passing through town from work and decided to stop for lunch. They were fast and courteous. The food was excellent.

Went through dirve through got to second window and lady was very nice and friendly. Food was perfect. Employees in the back was rude and he worked first window. Made sexual gesture behind the lady's back and the manager didn't do anything and rest of Employees where laughing about it. Othere than that everything was perfect. The guy didn't even see my kids in the car. But place is great other than the rest of Employees.

Whataburgers are a Texas icon and readily available, but this small restaurant in Taft stands out for us. Always spotless clean inside and out. Fast friendly service and the food is always fresh and hot, even looks like the pictures on the windows. Don’t often do fast-food but when you’re hankering for a burger and fries, this Whataburger stands out!

We pulled into this location right before the storm hit on 11/1/25. We had just ordered our food when the storm hit! Every employee did a fantastic job making sure all customers were safe and calm. A lady came in with a cut on her leg from glass breaking in her car and the employees got her supplies from the first aid kit to wrap her wounds. These employees went above and beyond for us! After the storm passed and electricity was restored they finished making our food and taking orders. Before we left they were out in parking lot picking up debris and helping with people’s cars. Great job to these employees!

I have visited a lot of Whataburger’s….This one has been the absolute BEST!!!! Food was great! We enjoyed the outside seating area. The staff were outstanding, warm, and friendly! The manager shared knowledge about the promo's and upcoming new releases! Simply amazing and a highlight to our coast trip! We will definitely stop again and highly recommend you stopping in if your in the area!!!

Whataburger in Taft Tx is the friendliest restaurant me & my family have been in a long time. We received delicious hamburger meals & were welcomed in by everyone. We recently drove through Taft, Texas twice in two days. The hamburgers the 1st day were so good, it looks us back to the great food and service of 30 years ago at Whataburger. We purposely stopped at the same location the next day for breakfast on the buns. Outstanding! The food was wonderful, the little lady at the window was so friendly, genuine and courteous. We will go out of our way to return to Taft Whataburger anytime we get near that part of the country. Good Job to the folks who run and hire for this store!!!!!

Great customer service from the young lady working the drive thru (8/19). She was very friendly & apologetic for the wait. With great customer service like that, I don't mind waiting.

Small and manager needs to wash his hands when he entered the cooking area despite washing his hands in the bathroom. GREAT customer service.

Little small but great service

Stopped for a large French fries on the way home from the beach. For 3 bucks I expected a little larger portion but it was enough to hold me for a little while. The fries were freshly cooked and were hot and delicious. The drive-through staff were pleasant and courteous.

Very good most of the time. A few shifts seem to get orders wrong more often. If you get it to go check your order before leaving. Keep in mind this is a smaller than normal Whataburger and they can easily get overwhelmed with all the activity in the area. Food is Whataburger good and am a regular! Better than many other Whataburger’s I’ve been to. They have been courteous and friendly when I eat there.

Probably the best sweet and spicy bacon cheeseburger I've had yet.

This location does a good job with food. Fries are hot and order is correct. They just take a bit longer to get my order to me even when I'm just ordering the basics....regardless of what time of day or night that I go.

Everything except one thing , nice. That one thing is the behavior of seagulls harassing patrons. Well, and the food, was unexpectedly very salty. Two story. Elevator out of service but a nice experience. The stairs weren't as scary as I thought. There was a numerical code lock on the outside of the entry to the bathrooms. Never saw that before. 🤔. Overall good experience.

Food was good. Like all Whataburgers, they forgot stuff. My extra chicken stripes and extra gravy.

If you get Fries at lunchtime or just after, they're usually cold and old. Not Fresh and hot. A heat lamp does NOT keep things fresh and hot. Only warm and old! BLAGH!

Takes 15-20 min to make a sandwich between 4am-6am ive had terrible luck. 24th street location is on point, solid, my favorite one.

The Building Desperately needs a complete update. Bathrooms right by Food counter, nasty. Clean but, OUTDATED.

Went to the one in Taft, Tx. Somehow my curbside order got cancelled. The only one who seemed at all concerned was the cashier. I believe her name was Katy. The manager completely ignored me when I came to figure out what happened.

Place was nice it's a Whataburger so it's somewhat clean. I'm just going to say Whataburger as a company has just completely gone downhill. But I was outnumbered as far as where to go. Trust me I wouldn't have if it was my choice.

Ordered shake and onion rings. Shake was really good, on of the best in fact, but the onion rings were inedible. The grease that were cooked in was almost rancid.

This location is the slowest place in the world! Don't visit unless you have at least an hour to wait on food, even when they are not busy! After that hour wait your food will be cold and smashed, we witnessed them drop the food into the bag on the floor! Then pick up bag and hand it to us.

Very slow no matter what time of day usually and half the time they're not paying attention to your order so youd have to repeat multiple times and they will still get the order wrong, I'm there a couple times a week for lunch and it's usually the same everytime I go

I love Whataburger, but this location isn't good. Service is slow and mistakes frequent. I'd recommend driving on to the next town if you want Whataburger.

Second time visiting since 8 years ago. Two patties, cheese, bacon, mayonnaise only. 1 sandwich only, 9 dollars and change. People like it, people pay. It's way to expensive. High chance of never coming again. Purely out of principle.

Wait time for curbside is horrendous. Then drive you can take 5 years as well. Always forgetting items that you pay extra for.

Drive thru is slower than a sit down meal. If you are in a hurry, do not go to the drive thru!

This whataburger be far the worst. Every other they my get right. Customers service the worst their quick to take your money and slow to hear you. I've seen mom and papa store with more hands on.

They trying to find the cure to cancer so they don't got time to make your order or they're to high to come the window and serve you there shake machine doesn't work but only at night and only when certain people work they always asking where the parties at food alright tho

I made an online order, when I pick it up it wasn't ready, have to wait almost 10 minutes to get it, and it was wrong, wait a little more, again the water with ice was missing, then again have to wait cause I think is hard to pour water in the cup, was the point to do an avance orden to save time, if when you tried to pick it up, it takes longer ????

Service sucks they are slow when i first pulled up asked to give me a min wanted something different from the norm guy kept talking and asked what kind of kids meal i wanted finally got to order said reg fry and whatasize the drink only had to repeat that 6 times took almost 30 min with just 2 ppl ahead of me fries were stale and the grilled chicken tasted like rubber never stopping at this location again

Just like any other whataburger you have to remind them to get your order right. Then hope it’s right still and half the time it’s not still even repeated multiple times to several people. It’s like they do it on purpose

Everytime I go get food they never fail. Cold hard fry,s and my burger is always dry my cheese is never melted. I know it,s fast food but it was never like this. Whataburger was the place to go. Ever since Covid came around it has gone DOWN so sad.

I dont come here often but everytime I do, it takes them forever to get the food out, and sometimes it's wrong. I just ordered from here a few minutes ago and we sat in the drive thru for 30 minutes and they weren't even that busy. All I had were 3 Lrg. fries and a Lrg. Shake, that's it, and we had to wait even longer for our fries to come out, then they weren't even hot. They were luke-warm.

Disappointed. On vacation, driving to Port A. Parked next to front door. Son and Wife got out on passenger's side. Stepping in fresh throw-up. Wife alerted cashier, nothing was done to clean it up, after 10 minutes she told them again... The smell upset her so bad, she couldn't eat her food, she sat in truck. We finished our meal, no one ever cleaned up the mess. Everyone is so worried about Corona, but yet employees left this mess that may have been left by someone with the virus, just 10 feet from the front door. Also, no-one was answering the phone, it rang constantly, the entire time we were there. I'm a loyal Whataburger fan, this was not close to Whataburger standards. Our food was ok, but our entire Family had the thought of what we encountered in the parking lot, in the town of Taft.

Dirty greasy food I usually go to Portland, however we stopped on the way home from out of town the wait was long and fries were soft cold and greasy (I didn’t eat them) and the burger was nasty also.. ewwww will never return, and maybe find a new favorite chain as well. Whataburger is not the same.. may as well have went to McDonalds….

How hard is it to make Gravy. I stop at this Store every Monday morning for Biscuits and Gravy and the last 3 times the gravy is like water. And it's kind of hard to eat a biscuit with water gravy with no eating utensils in the bag. And to complete my rant, this has to be the slowest whataburger known to exist.

Taft Whataburger, something has to be done, every time we order food from there it's cold, wrong, or just missing half the order! Then they leave you stuck in the drive thru behind 2 or 3 cars which is a fore hazard to have them move up to wait for food blocking the exit! I've called several times about this and nothing is done, the employees are rude and Martin the manager is a absolute waste of a human being. What can we do to get a better crew in this location since it's one of so few places in Taft?

This whataburger sucks. Workers are always rude. When calling in the order they rush you when you are trying to talk and talk over you. And then every time I've gone they get my order wrong. I always check it before I leave and I give it back to be corrected and they always give me an attitude with a rude face and remarks. I call it in ahead of time so I can go in and pay and get my order and it's never ready I always have to reorder my order and it takes them forever and they always say that they aren't worried about the inside, they are more worried about the drive thru. Well damn then shut down the inside then if you don't want to be bothered with business inside. Very disappointed!

TRAIN YOUR COOKS HOW TO READ TICKETS! Last week we didn’t get bacon which we paid extra for and no cheese… Today I waited in line for 25 minutes and the cashier tried to hand me the wrong order but then she gave me the right bag with the right receipt but the order was still wrong! Plain and dry with cheese was a junior double all the way and the Monterey melt had one dollop of sauce and peppers on it… Come on people, really!

Slowest service I ever had...took 30 min with 2 cars ahead of me I could have sat down and ate somewhere. Tip for management: widen the drive thru lane so people can get out once they realize that getting "fast food" here is a lost cause.

Called ahead at 11:51 my order wasnt placed till 12:15 didnt revieve myorder till 12: 25 and it was cold. There were 5 cars in the drive through. Super slow night.

I don't get it. Yes whataburger very popular. But I guess since this family are cooks. The advertising does not even get close to the look of the burger you order. Have been disappointed so many times and all locations. Thats why very rarely get whataburger.

We went through the drive-thru and ordered $50 worth of food and ALL the burgers were correct and hot! Food was delicious. We noticed right off how fresh everything was. We were missing some ketchup, napkins, and some honey BBQ sauce for the wings we ordered. We pulled around and I went inside to get our missing items. When the lady asked what I needed at the counter, I proceeded to tell her I needed some ketchup, napkins, amd some honey bbq sauce. She asked if it was ok that she charged me for the honey bbq cause. I said absolutely not.

Burger was cold don’t know if buns were colder than the meat and cheese. Chesse didn’t melt cause everything was cold. What so hard about a burger being made to order and at least warm. But cold I might as will eaten a cold sandwich at home

Most terrible whataburger experience, the manager Priscilla was completely rude and tried to charge me twice when they made the mistake, they couldn’t even figure out Apple Pay, took 11 min to get nothing, but if the employees are properly trained there wouldn’t be no one to blame but managers! But there is a reason they made a career out of fast food lame and pathetic!! Get a college degree or an education so you don’t end up with a dead end Job! Went to get breakfast at 6:25am before work i ordered two biscuits meal.Their was two employees in the front plus the cooks, and nobody else other than me at the drive thru. They were just leaning on the counter laughing, smiling inside for 25 minutes. For two biscuits come one, they didn’t tell me anything so i left with food payed.

I ended up having to leave because they took forever to get my order out through the drive thru. We waited for more than 10 minutes for 2 biscuit sandwiches and didn't get them. No sense of care or urgency. Not prepared. Smh
