This was our first time here. The atmosphere was so nice and aesthetic. We were a party of about 12 and they were super quick with our food. We ordered pizza, and the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. The “small” pizza was basically a large and the chicken parmigiana was amazing. I’ve eaten the chicken parm at other Italian restaurants and they don’t compare to this one. The chicken was so flavorful and the sauce was so good. I give it an 11/10.

Perfectly crispy cheesey pizza and AMAZING chicken parmesan subs!! Definitely one of the best chicken parms I've ever had!! The chicken is crispy, flavorful and topped with a tasty marinara sauce. The cheese is beautifully melted over it all. And the bread is crunchy and delicious!! We always stop here when we are in town. And I told my husband to always get me one of these if he finds himself in Tampa! The owners are wonderful people, definitely give this place a try if you're in town!

Great pizza and great atmosphere. Love the decorations for Halloween and the pizza was fresh and the workers very attentive. I’ll definitely come back or recommend to anyone visiting in town. Me and my Nephew enjoyed our food and drinks.

Pizza is 11/10. Can't go wrong. Inside is nice with the plants. Feels like a botanical garden in Italy. Still a great spot. Tried the cannoli, wow it was awesome. I never had an authentic one until I went here to eat.

Superb lovely service and atmosphere. The garlic knots were flavorful!!!! The calzone, the girl mentioned it was big. Is not big, is gigantic, and so so delicious!! Excellent quality of products. I'm not local. I wish I had this pizzeria this nearby.

If I could give this place a million stars I would. The owners are so cool, down to earth and just overall great people. We first found this restaurant when we moved to the area a month or so ago and now live 45 minutes away and still make the drive because that's just how great the pizza is. I'm Italian and lived in Italy for a couple years, so my standards for pizza are very high 😂 and it surpasses all my expectations. Great place, great ownership, great food, just overall great.

My hubby and I have become fans of Alfonso's. Following a suggestion made by Richard Gonzmart, we tried the restaurant. We waited for 35 minutes for the restaurant to open. It is intimate, with seating for about 2 dozen. The casual decor creates a comfortable atmosphere and the owners treat you like family. They take pride in every aspect of their business - the menu, the meal presentation, and cleanliness is of utmost importance. The Garlic Knots are the kind you continue to think about and look forward to your next order as soon as possible. They are the size of large softballs, tender, and smothered in garlic butter and parmesan cheese. As an added treat, they are served with delicious sauce. We enjoyed a Greek salad, pizza slices (fantastic sausage and fresh mushrooms), and a sausage, onion, and green pepper Hero Sandwich. Drop by to meet your family in your new home away from home. They enjoy meeting more relatives. The food was worth the wait!!

I have been coming to this place since 1988 not so much lately. This kid's father used to make a great pizza the best in Tampa his Uncle I remember him also again the family recipe was fabulous. But I think this kid makes better tasting Pizza than even his father and his uncle it was delicious the crust was great the sauce was flavorful and the perfect amount and the cheese was fabulous I would highly recommend it. If you want a New York style pizza or just some good tasting Pizza

Just moved back to the area, after moving all day I was so excited to share with my friends and family the joyous Alfonso’s pizza from my childhood. It absolutely did not disappoint. Seeing all these reviews of “son took over the pizzas no good” absolute BS. One of the best things I remember as a child was getting the pizza and not being able to eat it because it was like lava hitting your mouth because it was piping hot. My wife picked up the pizza and brought it to us, I tried to take a bite and it was like 1997 all over again. Man what a delicious pizza, it tastes just like I remember. Everyone loved it.

Excellent pizza with amazing flavor! The crust is baked just right, the cheese is perfectly melted, and the toppings are always fresh and generous. Service is quick and the staff is polite and welcoming. Great value for the quality you get. A must-visit spot for pizza lovers!

Been going to Alfonso’s since I could walk up there by myself and go to block buster. Yes things have changed since his dad owned the place but for the better and the food is still delicious. Went for the for time in years and it was like a warm hug eating my dinner with my hubby.

She stated she had been going to Alfonso's since the parents owned it and now the kids make the pizza just the same. Ordered a large pepperoni for pickup, upon arrival the family was extremely friendly and treated me like a regular. Returned to the hotel with my pizza and WOW, it was AMAZING. It was cooked to perfection and the flavor was top notch. If you're in the Tampa area this is a must have if you're look for pizza. Thank you to the Alfonso family!

If you want great Italian Food, Alfonsos is the place to be. Marco and Brittany are great people that care about the high quality food they serve. I just had the philly steak and cheese and it was amazing.

This place is the oldest pizza place in Tampa per the owner, she said her husbands family opened it in the 1970's.... The atmosphere is truly amazing, quiet, comfortable and frankly very relaxing. The customer service was great and the pizza was really good, I have been sampling local pizza spots and this is on the top of the list, not #1 but definitely top 3.

The pizza is still really good. It's been quite awhile since I have been here and it has different owners now.... a young couple. The prices are a little crazy for their slices now... $4.75 for a slice of cheese pizza. I don't know what they charge for toppings. On the Google maps menus it says $2.60/slice & 65¢ for toppings (but I know anyone can post those menu pics and they can be outdated) so I also checked the menu link they have on Google maps and I think it said $2.25/slice. I ordered 3 slices.... 1 cheese, 1 pepperoni, and 1 sausage. It was just over $19 with a dollar or two tip and tax. I was tired and it didn't really register that it was $19 until I was waiting for my slices. So I did check the menu in the store and saw the $4.75 price. I think they have a large cheese pizza for $21.99 which isn't a bad price. I didn't say anything, just figured I wouldn't order slices here again. (I usually go to Eddie & Sam's for slices). I know they can't do anything about the outdated menu pics, but they should at least remove the menu link. While I'm waiting for my food a customer comes in and the woman knows him and starts a conversation, but it quickly turned into an ugly gossip session (it sounded like he also worked in the plaza, or nearby, and they were talking about a man in another business I think may also be in the plaza). She started getting loud and kept F bombing as she's talking about the man who wasn't present... over and over and LOUDLY. It was so negative and unprofessional and nothing I wanted to hear. The man, I'm guessing her husband, who heated the pizza and gave it to me was very pleasant, nice and professional. The place was cute inside decorated to the max for Halloween.

This place used to have some of the best thin New style pizza. Those days are gone trust me. Their pizza is bland and so far from New York style. It’s a shame because at one time they were so good. Pizza has gotten so good in Tampa this is one of my least favorite spots.

I honestly haven't been able to place an order consistently since early 2023. Every attempt I've made they've been closed for lunch, closed for a meeting, or just CLOSED. Definitely not the days of old (bring dad outta retirement if he's still around). Dine-in used to be a few tables, chairs and flat screens but my last dine-in, I remember plants everywhere. TOO MANY PLANTS. Called up a few Saturdays ago (trying to give them one last shot), 3:00 PM, to be told they were closed for lunch. Was able to confirm their TRUE hours of operation (posted on the front) when I recently passed by and they were.... CLOSED.
