Great time at the new Giancarlo’s last night! We can early around 5pm to be able to enjoy the happy hour specials, which are offered every day including weekends! Certain apps and pizzas are 25% off and drinks are discounted. We sat outside on their super nice outdoor patio! The vibe was lively and upbeat, it was comfortable and well laid out! We started with a few spritz’s which were delicious! Apps we had the meatball trio and attempted to get the calamari, but they were all out unfortunately. The meatballs were delicious and you could tell they were homemade. Dinner we decided on the Bufalina sandwich which was the chicken cutlet with hot said lettuce and cucumber. It was delicious!! The bar pie was the Honeymoon which was pepperoni with hot honey. I will say the pizza and second round of drinks did take a while to come out. All the food and drinks were very good! Our server was very nice and apologetic for any wait, but I could tell she was very new as she did not know the menu. Overall, I would love to come back soon!
This place is so cool! The vibes are impeccable…awesome music by Fiona Joy for a rainy Sunday brunch…Lana Del Rey and lattes. The concept is New Jersey Italian with iconic offerings like pork roll, thin pizza, Dr. Browns sodas and hand crafted coffees. There are so many areas to enjoy this restaurant, outside or inside, a bar, counter seating and even a coffee area, which is great because it’s very busy. We had a bar pizza, a traditional breakfast and the French toast inspired by Elvis with banana, peanut butter and bacon. It was delicious!
New place in the neighborhood and it has not disappointed! Food has been delicious each time, breakfast sandwiches are amazing and the sourdough is perfect. Dinner was great as well, the truffle pasta was addicting and the pizza is light, crunchy, flavorful, and perfect for sharing with the table. Cocktails and coffee are also on point. Only downside so far is the kinks with the wait staff as sometimes it feels disorganized. Despite that this will definitely be a regular spot for me!
Giancarlo’s is officially a new favorite for us. The pizza is the MVP — absolutely outstanding — and the drinks and pasta are pure perfection. Everything feels thoughtfully done. The vibes are eclectic, modern, and so approachable, which makes it perfect for any kind of night out. We especially loved the outdoor patio with the fenced-in area — such a game changer for families. It’s so nice to enjoy a great meal with a little extra peace of mind. We loved it so much that we were back within a day to bring friends who were visiting from out of town. That says it all. Tampa truly needed a spot like this, and Giancarlo’s delivers on every level. We’ll be back again and again. 🍕✨
A new gem for the Tampa food scene. Great vibes AND great food. Family friendly and super spacious (inside as well as outdoor space). Everything ordered was outstanding including the coffees. Pancakes, thin crispy pizza, breakfast burrito.. all banger. Generous portions and well rounded menu. I ended up crushing the Mac & cheese I ordered for the kids. It somehow tasted both like Mac&cheese and butter noodles, a grownup version of my childhood. You can tell these people are serious about getting the details right. I hope they can keep this up!
I had a great experience at Giancarlo’s today. I was in to work for a bit (they offer WiFi) and grab a coffee. Street parking is tough, but luckily I found a spot and I parked a block over by Noho Flats. Gianelly was my server and she was fabulous and really nice. Tiramisu latte was TDF and I’ll definitely get it again. I also ordered the mortadella deli sandwich and it was honestly not the best. The bread tasted a bit old, and the bread to filling ratio was not ideal, but I’m hoping that changes as they grow and gain more customers and reviews. It did have great flavor, just wish there were more to the sandwich. All in all, it was a great experience and I highly recommend a visit to them. I think the owner or a business partner was going around asking about the experience and that was appreciated. Great atmosphere for a new restaurant. I’ll be back to try their dinner plates, and I’m looking forward to it!
Rode my bike over to North Hyde Park's newest restaurant to grab some brunch, and it did not disappoint. This is the newest concept from the owners of Sanoro's Pizza, and it has a little bit for everyone. You have the choice of outdoor table and bar seating, as well as table or bar sevice inside. I'm impressed on how they transformed what was just an old grey concrete cube of a building into an aesthetically pleasing oasis. The staff was friendly and accommodating when ordering. I started with a bloody mary, and chose the Yaya's Buritto, along with a side of Sausage Roll (if you are from up north you know about the great sausage roll/taylor ham debate) for my meal. The burrito was enough to satisfy my appetite and was not heavy or greasy, especially since it had chorizo in it, along with some salsa verde, and the sour cream to top it off was perfect. As for the sausage roll, now I know why people fight over it. It was so terrible I didnt leave a crumb of it on my plate 😉Although it was just brunchtime, I did sneak a look at their lunch and dinner menu, and I definitely will be coming back to try out some of those offerings as well. In addition to the sit down offerings there is also a coffee bar for grab and go coffee, tea, and other bottle concoctions. I grabbed an ice salted carmel pistachio latte before I left and it was tasty and had me buzzing. Welcome to the neighborhood Giancarlo's!
Giancarlo’s Tampa was absolutely fantastic! Our server Kate was so sweet and made the whole experience feel extra special. The food was delicious—especially the West Village pizza with goat cheese, bacon, and fig… seriously incredible. They gave us a slice of Reese’s cheesecake for my friend’s birthday, and it was SO good. On top of that, the portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity. Amazing food, great service, and such a welcoming vibe—we’ll definitely be back!
From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. The staff went above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure every detail was perfect. The food was absolutely outstanding: every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I especially loved the Spicy Rigatoni, which was cooked to perfection and left me wanting more. To top it off, the pacing of the meal was spot-on, making the entire evening feel effortless and enjoyable. This restaurant is a true gem, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience!
Amazing concept. Travis does it…again. Greeted immediately, amazing server (Hunter) who was very friendly and prompt. Most importantly, the food. Arancini was unreal, sauce to accompany it was perfect. Honeymoon pizza was the perfect combo of hot and savory. And the chicken parm (drunken parm) was delicious, the pairing of the pesto and vodka sauce was exquisite . Excited to come back and try the breakfast, coffee and drinks
We stopped in for the first time to try out the late night happy hour and it did not disappoint! We got the MVP pizza (we added spicy sausage) and a small caesar salad. Both were delicious and enough for two people. I got a glass of pinot grigio and my boyfriend had two peroni’s and both were great for the price!! Great for a quick and casual lunch or dinner/drinks. We will definitely be back!
Food was great, chicken parn sandwich and gluten free pizza backyard was nice and open. My dog loved it. Drinks were great alcohol and iced coffee. Will go again.
We went for breakfast first Saturday after opening. Good, solid breakfast. We got the pancakes, breakfast scramble and tots. Service was friendly, and was happy to move us inside when it looked like it might rain. We were there about 90 minutes, and I expect the average time for breakfast will shorten as they get into the full swing of things. For opening week, it was organized and didn’t feel chaotic or rushed. They have a full bar, a coffee counter, breakfast, lunch, dinner and pizza. Looks like a bagel place (which the hostess said was connected to them?) will open in January. I didn’t see a parking lot, but there may have been one on the side I missed? We parked on the street. I can see parking being a problem when they get full. I recommend they explain the parking options (e.g. just street parking) on the website.
Food is great. Honeymoon pizza is amazinggg.. the Drunkenparm is pretty good.. the music is not that loud you can hang out have a good conversation, service is good and Emma is very attentive. Definitely a place you should visit!!
Let me tell you about Giancarlo’s. This visit truly stood out because of the incredible service. Josh and Harrison at the bar were phenomenal, attentive, friendly, and genuinely knowledgeable. They made great recommendations, kept everything flowing smoothly and created a welcoming atmosphere that made the experience even better. A huge shoutout as well to Jason, the manager, who clearly sets the tone and standard for excellence. He was present, professional and made sure everything was running perfectly. You can tell the team is well-led and takes pride in what they do. Amazing service, great energy and a place that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for lunch today. First time there and will be back for lunch and/or dinner. I had the eggplant parm sandwich and my dad had the meatball parm sandwich. They did not disappoint at all. Staff very friendly and attentive!
This new spot did not disappoint! Everything I ordered was amazing. I went for brunch and dinner. Highly recommend the pancakes and pizza!
I go here multiple times a week I enjoy it so much. I’ve had everything on the menu and the ONLY comment I have is the pizzas are thin… still taste amazing. Make sure you have a reservation if you want to go eat, because they’re a hot commodity. If you’re going to have a few drinks, you’re in luck the drinks are amazing! Try the Made man for whiskey and the pistachio martini
We heard about Giancarlo’s cafe and Spirit in Tampa so we wanted to give it a shot. There was an outdoor market near by so parking was a little challenging. There were two options for seating, indoor or outdoor. The indoor seating was pretty crowded and the atmosphere was just ok so we decided to sit outside on a beautiful day. We ordered seasoned French fries as an appetizer it came with Giancarlo sauce. The fries and sauce were good. For lunch my wife had a Berry Sweet Crostini and I had a Drunkken Parm sandwich. The Crostini (ricotta, berries, mint, and honey on sourdough bread) and Drunkken Parm (chicken cutlet, burrata, Vodka sauce, and touch of Pesto) were both very good. The Crostini is not a big serving, the Parm sandwich is but it didn’t come with any sides. The service was a little slow but friendly and the prices were reasonable. We will go back and try some other menu items and will recommend it.
Went for their grand opening and must say, the atmosphere/vibes were great! Live band and seated quickly outside by the warmers. House sangria was delicious and well portioned. Appetizers were unfortunately cold by the time they got to us and on the bland side. What did blow us away was how fantastic the tavern style pies were! We also got some large plates including the truffle gnocci that was super fresh. Overall, I am still surprised the pizza at Giancarlo (in my opinion) beat out the sister restaurant Santoros. Solid work. Looking forward to making this a new spot to go to with friends and family. Definitely recommend they work on the appetizers especially since theyre $15+ would like to see some more flavor and come out warm, but the larger plates 100% worth the visit!
Giancarlo’s The sandwich was a bit too bread-heavy, but the meatballs were delicious and authentically prepared, providing a standout flavor. The Caesar salad was satisfactory, albeit overloaded with croutons, yet the overall experience in the cozy setting was enjoyable.

Great food! I tried the chicken parmesan sandwich with vodka sauce and it was amazing. We also had a pizza and it was incredible. Food aside, the service was pretty slow and our waitress continued to forget things, and it seemed to be pretty slow. Also, the DJ that was playing music wasn’t too great and it kinda killed the vibe. Was hard to have a conversation without screaming across the table. Still a good spot and I would recommend, I think they just need to fine tune some small things.
Starting off with the positives: the space is so nice and a great addition to the North Howard area. I love the outdoor seating and the different stations that you can get coffee, pizza, and drinks at. I think this will be a great place regardless of the weather in Tampa. I plan on remote working here every once in a while, as well. For the shortcomings: we tried the coffee and matcha. Both were pretty mediocre. My vanilla latte was pretty sour tasting, and the matcha latte was pretty much a light green color with 99% milk and sugar. Our friend also ordered the cream cheese and the consistency was so watery!!! I looked past the texture, but the taste was also not there and that everything bagel was pretty salty. To be fair, I didn’t try the pizza yet and that looks like it will be very delicious! But from the drinks and the bagels so far, I am not impressed with the food.

First time coming here the spicy vodka was 11/10 been here 3 times since and gotten the same pie but different pizza every time. Today I complained and they said they changed the recipe which is another word for I’m not taking accountability. I don’t mind paying 28$ for a pizza if it’s consistent. I’m embarrassed I recommended this to people I spoke too soon. Work on consistency please you guys were great like 3 weeks ago.
