Remington’s Steak and Seafood is one of those places that surprises you in the best way possible. I started with the escargot appetizer, which—interestingly—was recommended not to order by the waitress. As gourmet and rarely defined as escargot is, I actually enjoyed it. While the dish itself was good, the real standout was the mushrooms. Honestly, they were so flavorful they could easily be their own appetizer without needing anything else to complement them. For dinner, I ordered the steak tips with mac and cheese and a Caesar salad to go. I really appreciated how attentive the waitress was—she specifically asked whether I wanted my Caesar dressing tossed or on the side, which is a small detail but makes a big difference. The steak tips were great and something I would absolutely reorder. The mac and cheese wasn’t my favorite and probably not something I’d get again, but the Caesar salad was top-notch amazing. I also managed to snag a couple of French fries off my friend’s plate, and I can confidently say those are a must-have. One of the most memorable parts of Remington’s is the interior. Walking inside feels like entering a completely different realm—you genuinely forget that you’re parked in a shopping plaza. The rustic atmosphere paired with thoughtful décor gives the restaurant a warm, elevated vibe that really sets it apart. Overall, great food, attentive service, and a uniquely immersive environment. Definitely worth a visit.

First time eating at this establishment. Our server Jessica was great, very polite, extremely attentive. The Manager Sarah was great as well, professional and very pleasant. The fried pickle appetizer was delicious. The New York Strip steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The fried shrimp excellent. We will definitely be returning.

We had a great dinner at Remington's. Our waiter, Chris, was fantastic—super friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us excellent appetizer recommendations: the cheesy meatballs and stuffed mushrooms are both a MUST. I also had the fried shrimp with a baked potato and Caesar salad. The shrimp was crispy and not greasy at all, which is rare. We’ll definitely be back.

Just left Remington’s and wow—everything was on point. The French onion soup was straight up to die for and the filet honestly tops any steak I’ve had at a fine dining spot in Tampa. We sat at the bar and Gina took care of us all night—she’s amazing. Great food, great service, and definitely a vibe. We’ll be back for sure.

We stopped here on our way from TPA to The Villages. Totally out of the blue because Chat GPT suggested another place but it ended up being too far from the highway. Wow are we glad we did. Great service comfortable decor friendly atmosphere. You need to order the filet tips sautéed with mushrooms and onions. Amazing. Also fantastic the cheeseburger, mixed vegetables and side salad and the potato skins. We could not believe how good this food was and the price point is excellent and so reasonable for the quality of food you get. Look forward to going back on our next trip to visit fam.

Great staff, my steak was done to perfection. The keylime pie was hugh compared to what other place give for desert size, and it was again just what a great keylime pie should taste like. Definately recommend this place. Price was low for the size of the steat and size of the desert.

Honestly one of the best seasoned and cooked steaks we’ve had in a long time ! Ordered the Strip and Ribeye and both were cooked perfectly and juicy - didn’t need any steak sauce ! Mashed potatoes, Green beans and onions were great as well ! Definitely will be back and happy we tried it out !

The broth was full bodied, I could taste the beef without it being overshadowed by the onions. The onions were there and cooked well. It was one of the best French Onion Soups I've had in a long time and the broth is what made it so good. My only compliant is that the crock was only about half full when served. I had an appetizer for my main course, the Shepard's Pie Quesadilla. I had planned to have a steak, but the idea of a Shepard's Pie Quesadilla was just too intreating. I made the right choice. I still could taste the beef in each of the 4 pieces of the quesadilla. The veggies were there but not overpowering, however I still could taste the mashed potatoes in each bite. I tried the dipping sauce but preferred it without the sauce. Since the quesadilla was so good next time I'm going to try the full Shepard's Pie

Very quaint little steakhouse we thought we would try for our date night. Love trying non-chain places in the local area and Remington's did not disappoint. Both my wife and I got the 16 ounce Ribeye steak. Both cooked to perfection (mine med-rare and hers med-well). They were perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy. Paired with a baked potatoe loaded and greens beans. Service was fast and attentive. Staff was friendly and often checked on us throughout the meal. I would say the only down side is that the building does not have good ventilation, so the indoor dining area was a bit smokey from the kitchen exhaust. Wasn't horrible, but it was noticeable. Overall it was a great meal at a reasonable price and we enjoyed every bite!

Chris was our server and he was top tier. He knew exactly what he was talking about, kind, friendly, and available for any needs. He recommended the steak so that’s what my boyfriend got, I got the salmon. They were both MELT IN YOUR MOUTH!!!! On another note their coffee was also 10/10. There wasn’t anything we ordered that wasn’t amazing!!!! (We also appreciate the effort the whole staff put into getting the power back on super quickly)

My boyfriend and I made an online reservation for Valentine’s Day while visiting Tampa. When we arrived, there was another couple ahead of us who had also made a reservation. We all stood at the host stand for about 10–15 minutes without being acknowledged. Several employees, including bartenders and servers, made eye contact but no one greeted us or explained what was going on. Eventually, the couple in front of us asked why we weren’t being seated and were told the kitchen was backed up and it would be at least 40 minutes before food would come out even with a reservation. We completely understand that Valentine’s Day is busy and kitchens can fall behind. That’s not the issue. The issue was the lack of communication and basic hospitality. A simple acknowledgment or heads-up when we walked in would have made all the difference. Unfortunately, due to the experience, we decided to leave along with the other couple. Very disappointing, especially for what was meant to be a special evening. We hope management takes this as feedback and works on improving communication with guests, especially during busy holidays. A little acknowledgment goes a long way.

It was Valentine's Day. Filet mignon recommended by server, fish and chips, shrimp. Poor cut of steak/doubtful filet/poorly cooked, fish not flakey/like rubber, shrimp were fine. Server was not attentive. Over an hour to get food. A nearby table arrived after us by 10 or fifteen minutes. When they got served about 30 minutes later, we asked about our food. Another 15 before it arrived. Had two different servers and neither ever checked back. Had to ask for silverware twice. Went to bar to get our condiments after server didn't bring them when asked. Bad, bad, bad.

I don’t know if it was Valentine’s Day or what but the wait time was about 30 to 45 minutes. But when we got there, there was a couple that had been there since 6 PM. My reservation was at 8 PM they said that they hadn’t been served or anything. Then once we got seated, it took forever for the appetizers to come out then once we got our food, which was about 3040 minutes after that part of one of our plates, the food was cold. The whole Experience was just awful! I don’t know if there was only one person working the grill or working in the back Preparing the food or what that night was just bad!

Food was passable, but way overpriced for the portions and quality. They ran out of a lot of items too, which is crazy because the place was a ghost town other than one other party and the handful folks at the bar. Service was lazy - they ran out of my entree and instead of coming out and telling me that so I could order something else, they gave me a half portion but only took 25% off. The Touch Tunes was way too loud, you could barely hear someone right next to you. The bathroom urinals had no dividers and there was a gaping hole in the wall. Don't waste your time and money here. This is not the Remington's Steakhouse it was back in the early 2000s.

I’ve been here twice since it opened, and both times were awful. How are you a steakhouse that’s out of steak? Every visit, the servers go down a list of what they don’t have, and it’s usually half the menu. The place is always empty, yet somehow they’re still out of everything. How do you run out of food when there isn’t a single customer in the building? Obviously, this is a management issue. It’s clear they’re trying to use the “Remington’s” name to draw people in, but it’s nothing like what you’d expect from a place with that name. The servers are the only good part of the experience. They’re always kind, professional, and doing their best, but they look completely stressed and overworked every time I’ve been in. It’s honestly sad to see because it’s not their fault; they’re just trying to make the best out of a bad situation. From what I’ve seen and heard, the owner is cutting corners just to keep the place open, and it really shows. There’s no bread service, a two-dollar upcharge for salads, and the food quality is nowhere near what it should be. The restaurant tries to act like a fine dining spot, but it feels more like a cheap, casual place pretending to be something it’s not. The atmosphere is off, the menu is constantly limited, and everything about the operation feels unorganized and rushed. It’s also frustrating to see how much potential the place had when it first opened. We used to come by hoping it would improve or that it might turn into something worth visiting, but it just keeps going downhill. This place is a perfect example of bad management ruining what could have been a good restaurant. It’s cheap, inconsistent, and poorly run from the top down. I don’t see it lasting long if things stay the same. The staff deserve better, and the customers definitely deserve better. Terrible establishment, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Update: Just to clarify, I’m not a former employee — I’m a customer who had two bad experiences here. Several others from our group have also written reviews and sent emails about the same issues. People talk, and it’s clear better management is needed. The manager’s response only proves my point.
