Bellissima scoperta a Taranto, staff cordiale e disponibile, una grande accoglienza e calore. Ampio il menù a base di pesce ovviamente fresco e presentato in modo accattivante. L’ antipasto misto ha lasciato i commensali soddisfatti ma gli scilatielli con aragosta hanno preso immediatamente il primo posto tra le preferenze. Buona la scelta dei vini. Prezzi in linea con la qualità del prodotto anche se non esagerati. Bravi alla prossima occasione ci ritorneremo

Locale molto carino nella città vecchia di Taranto. Ottimo "acquisto" per la mia città ❤️. Pesce molto fresco, tutto veramente buono! Noi abbiamo preso l'antipasto formato da 7 portate, il quale è stato fantastico, formato da cozze al gratin, polipo alla Luciana, baccalà fritto e tanto altro, tutto super saporito, fresco e squisito. Per primo abbiamo preso della pasta fresca allo scoglio, buonissima! Porzione anche abbondante, con tanto pesce, tra cui cozze, vongole, cicale.. Avremmo voluto prendere anche la frittura di pesce, ma eravamo pieni e non ci siamo riusciti, ma la prossima volta la prenderemo senz'altro. Esperienza più che ottima, inoltre, personale molto cordiale, che ci ha saputo consigliare. Pulizia top.

Siamo stati in questo ristorante domenica scorsa. Eravamo in 7 persone e siamo rimasti tutti davvero soddisfatti. Cibo ottimo, tutto a base di pesce, fresco e di grande qualità, cucinato con cura e sapore. Un ringraziamento speciale va allo staff: professionale, gentile, cordiale e anche molto simpatico, ci hanno fatto sentire accolti e a nostro agio per tutta la durata del pranzo. Un’esperienza davvero piacevole che consigliamo e che sicuramente ripeteremo.

The food was absolutely outstanding! One of the best octopus salad I ever tasted. There more than enough and very tasty! The seafood pasta was full of flavor and fresh. The tortellone dish was superb and delicious. Bottle of red wine was perfect and reasonable!

I made a special trip to have this meal at Gente di Mare. I wasn't disappointed. You need to remember to bring your phone(s), as the menus require you to use QR codes that are on the table. I started with the CARPACCIO DI SALMONE -- which was fine. What really rocked my world, however was their PASTA FRESCA ALLO SCOGLIO, which was a plate of fresh pasta with shrimp, mussels, clams, and cuttlefish. The sauce was light but incredibly full of flavors. The fresh noodles were cooked perfectly. I can't normally finish a restaurant sized portion of pasta, but I couldn't resist going for every last bite. I would describe the service as serious, efficient, and professional. I would definitely come back.

Durante una mia trasferta a Taranto ho sfruttato le potenzialità delle recensioni di google per capire dove poter correttamente spendere i miei soldi e mangiare bene. Come al solito se leggiamo per bene le recensioni precedenti riusciamo a capire se una struttura è positiva oppure no. Il ristorante da me scelto è sicuro una steuttura dove poter mangiare bene. Gli antipasti, 7 in particolare, sono davvero ben preparati e freschissimi. Lo spaghwtto col riccio buono ma non esaltante mentre la grigliata è molto buona. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo.

Ristorante di pesce fresco nel cuore della Città Vecchia di Taranto con cucina mediterranea e sapori tipici locali, perfetto per gli amanti del mare. Ingredienti di prima qualità, piatti ben eseguiti (specialmente antipasti e primi di mare) e atmosfera accogliente e rilassata. Ottimo rapporto qualità‑prezzo e personale cortese rendono l’esperienza piacevole, ideale per cena romantica o pranzo in famiglia. Alcune recensioni segnalano però variazioni occasionali nella qualità dei piatti o nel servizio, quindi può valere la pena prenotare.

Ho visto la trasmissione di borghese ed ho apprezzato la serietà e la sincerita della signora Palma. Quando il nuovo locale sarà aperto, sarò sicuramente fra i primi a prenotare. Molto deluso dagli altri ristoratori partecipanti al programma. E soprattutto da uno.

Il personale è gentile e disponibile, sempre pronto a consigliare i piatti migliori. La cucina offre preparazioni gustose e curate, con ingredienti freschissimi e di qualità, perfette per chi cerca un’esperienza gastronomica autentica. Gente di Mare è il luogo perfetto per una cena speciale o un pranzo rilassante, da provare assolutamente.

The interior of this restaurant is spic and span and very comfortably air conditioned. The service is efficient but varies between grossly impersonal to pleasant depending upon which of the several staff members you are dealing with during our 2 hour stay. We found the service all a bit strange 🤔 The food is very good. We tried a number of local specialties eg: mussels in gratin, spaghetti with clams, fettuccine with mussels, clams and prawns plus a bruschetta with anchovies and butter. They were all scrumptious.

We had a reservation made by the hotel.We were told that we will have a table outside. When we got to the restaurant, they gave us a table inside even though they had free tables outside. Inside it was very very noisy. People were nearly screaming instead of talking. And this it was not common in Taranto restaurants. The food is a 6 out of 10 at most. Oysters are small and they don't serve them cut from their shell. You have to use a knife to cut them off their shell. The mussels are very small and when you order risotto or pasta with seafood, most of the shells are empty. The shrimps are small. The only good thing about this restaurant was the rose wine. I don't recommend going to this restaurant. You have plenty of better choices in Taranto.

Overall for me it's a no. The pasta with sea food was ok, good, but the tuna tartare and salmon tartare was not. It's just the raw fish, not much anything else, I did not like it. We also had the anchovies, they were so so sour... :(

Cozy restaurant in Taranto vecchia. The location is not big but very welcoming. Service has been really good with super kind waiters. Coming to the food, all good but not the best. Locale piacevole e accogliente... Cameriere gentile ma con molta fretta Varietà di piatti ridotta e comunque Piatti scarni e molto costosi. Rapporto qualità/prezzo inesistente. Ideale per turisti o per chi ha portafoglio largo. Importo medio procapite intorno ai 40€.

At first we were delighted, the waiter was wonderfully attentive and motivating. That's why we ordered a whole load of the catch of the day. The wine was delicious and the good people at the neighbouring table helped to create a festive atmosphere. The first course took a long time, but it was worth waiting for these delicious little oysters ... We had the feeling that the catch of the day was still being caught, that's how long it took. The waiter was no longer interested, he had done his job, he was now arguing more with his quieter colleagues... A dissatisfied, poisonous atmosphere. Then the fish arrived... it had probably just been forgotten on the grill. Slightly burnt and dry roasted like cardboard. Too bad about the fish. We can wait, we have patience. But the food has to be good and the hospitality has to last until the end.

Awful place, avoid avoid avoid. One of the rudest waiters I’ve ever encountered, did his job so badly that my meal was a single piece of fish, it would have cost him nothing to advise ordering potatoes or veg as well. The fish was virtually thrown in the table in front of me. To top it all, we were overcharged and didn’t realise until the following morning. Awful experience that I can’t recommend to anyone.

Food was saltier than the sea. Half of it was wrong ordered the other half was half an hour late. They overcharged us for 2x bottles and the waiter was (although to be fair probably he has no social skills) quite dismissive of our complaints. Also menu is weird. You can’t order some meals unless you order 2 portions.
