Amazing place above Como! 🌄 A refuge with super good dishes, generous portions, and very fair prices. Definitely worth a try! 🍝🍷

Excellent polenta with stew and polenta overlooking the plains. Motor vehicles are allowed from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM; motorcycles are allowed. The road is very narrow and bumpy.

Fast service, friendly staff, and a welcoming place. What more could you ask for after a lovely stroll? Fair prices. It's best to book for the 12:00 PM sitting; it's not necessary for the second sitting at 1:30 PM. Outdoor seating is also available.

Took my lunch here while hiking in the mountains. The owner was super friendly, and so were the other regulars. I had the stinco, which was absolutely delicious. Fantastic food, even better vibe!

Excellent food and generous portions, friendly and welcoming management. The friendly mare "Bionda" is delightful. I have a fond bond with this place; my parents met here in the 1950s, when the cabin was run by Mrs. Fausta and her husband, people I have known and fondly remembered. Coming from Como or Brunate, this is the last cabin where you can stop for refreshments before crossing the beech trees to reach Mount Palanzone or Bolettone. Bring water, and be prepared for food.

Como, Como, Como, Como... but try climbing up here, just in time for lunch. After a lovely 30-minute walk along the trail from the parking lot, you'll surely be quite hungry. In this magnificent place, take a seat, order whatever you like, close your eyes, and listen... listen to the crunch of the bread, the birds singing, the horse's bell ringing in the stall, maybe even the dog barking. But listen to the wind whispering in your ears that you've found a moment of peace, take a sip of wine, and smell the flavor of freedom... it doesn't take much to feel good and fill you with the strength to live your daily life. This is what this cabin gives me when I come here. When you stand on the terrace, say "how beautiful life is," and you'll feel happy and always return here to find peace. Thank you for these moments, to those who work hard for us every day.

Good and inexpensive food, with very friendly service! Perfect meal after returning from the Monte Boletto summit.

The last stop on the long hike from Como. We arrive at noon, and Mrs. Paola invites us to sit down to share the Baita's delicacies. The pork shank is fantastic, the polenta is good, but it's a shame we didn't get the stew. The homemade desserts are delicious. Next time, it's best to book. It's an hour and a half from the funicular at a good pace. The view is breathtaking!

Simple but refined mountain cuisine. We sat outside and were served quickly. The service was very friendly. The place is easily reached on foot from Brunate.

Anyone who wanders around mountain huts knows that finding courteous and welcoming #Service is not a given. Here, the atmosphere was unusually relaxed. I ate excellent polenta and braised beef, and my companion a polenta pasticciata with truly delicious and intense cheeses. And beware: the bread was good. It's not exactly amazing in mountain huts, but the hunger that usually accompanies you makes you accept anything. Not here. Small but fateful signs. I'll be back.

Lunch after the descent from Mt. Boletto, beautiful terrace with a view of the Po Valley and the Mt. Rosa massif. Excellent lunch based on polenta with standard prices, terrible wine. The road to get there is convenient, after parking (for a fee) at the Santuario di Santa Rita, you can also get there by the ridge path (Pizzo Tre Termini and Mt. Astele)

I called to reserve a table at 1:30 PM and the owner replied in an annoyed voice that she couldn't keep tables occupied until that time, so it was a "first come, first served" policy. There's nothing wrong with this table management policy, but the communication with the customer and the tone of voice were immediately unpleasant.

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant, not so much by the food as by the staff's behavior. After politely asking if vegan options were available or if it was possible to adapt a dish, I was met with rude and sarcastic responses. I was even advised to leave, pointing to the door, a gesture I found deeply disrespectful. I should point out that I am always a courteous and polite customer and that a situation like this had never happened to me before. Even if a request cannot be accommodated, there are civil and professional ways to communicate this. In 2026, vegan requests should not be treated with condescension or annoyance. Respect for customers should be the foundation of any restaurant business. Unfortunately, for this reason, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

The staff was not up to par. We arrived at 11:00 AM. First they told us we couldn't reserve a table, then that everything was booked, but we could sit at a table if there was room when it opened at 12:00 PM because they had prepared enough food for all our reservations. When we returned an hour later at 12:00 PM, they changed their minds and wouldn't seat us even though it was completely empty. A TOTAL LACK OF CLARITY AND HELPFULNESS. On the other hand, we ate at Baita Carla. They were very friendly, the food was excellent, and a complimentary grappa was provided... LEARN
