Awesome real authentic Italian restaurant! This is now one of our favorite restaurants after just one visit. They have an incredible selection of wine S well as a full bar and a limited selection of beer. The food and service was absolutely amazing. Great, homemade quality and flavor! Definitely a place to take your date to, or go for an anniversary dinner! You won’t be disappointed! Bring your appetite. You won’t leave hungry! Can’t wait to go back.
Wife and I have been looking for a truly authentic Italian restaurant with delicious food and home atmosphere. The wine was delicious, enjoyed a bottle of Chardonnay. Try the calamari appetizer, it is phenomenal and the best around. My wife had the filet mignon tips with mushroom and spiral pasta, and I had their clam, mussel, calamari linguine special. Can't remember the name right now. We then shared a spumoni dessert which was covered in chocolate. Everything was perfect and they were busy! The owner and server always checked on us, and the owner sung as he topped off our wine. Live band perfected the atmosphere. The whole experience was phenomenal and we will be making this our home! Thank you!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Gourmet Italia in Temecula, CA, and it was an unforgettable experience. My waitress, Tiffany, was absolutely amazing—she even took me on a tour of the entire restaurant! One standout feature is their private room available for rent, which is perfect for hosting office holiday parties. The restaurant offers a curated selection of wines, including bottles made right here in California. On select nights, you can enjoy live music from a talented pianist, adding a touch of elegance to the ambiance. Speaking of ambiance, you can choose from different rooms to dine in, each with its own unique charm. The food was remarkably fresh and flavorful! I ordered the tortellini alla Benigni, which I highly recommend to all tortellini lovers. The olive spread served with bread was so addictive that I kept eating it throughout the meal. For dessert, the pistachio profiteroles were the perfect light and guilt-free finish to my meal. One tip: parking can be a bit challenging in the shopping center on busy nights, so plan accordingly. I will definitely be coming back to explore more options from their menu!
Second time I have been here with my wife, service was great food was wonderful. We had the meat sauce pasta and the lobster ravioli with 2 helpings of calamari as it was wonderful, it was fresh crispy and had lovely texture very very delicious. Great place for a nice date night or just a bite to eat. I feel that most the reviews on here are petty or people who where already in a bad mood this place is amazing not once has my food ever felt “microwaved” none the less food was amazing service amazing they made sure water was always topped off and that our bred never ran out and where smiles all around… WE WILL BE BACK
The wife and I celebrated and anniversary here. The food was great. My hopes of the lasagna tasting like mom's was the reason to deduction on star. (That is on me, not them.) The service was great EdenC did an great job of making my wife and I feel lime we were her only table. Tonight the atmosphere was perfect.
We welcomed the New Year here and had a truly delightful experience. The cuisine was excellent from start to finish — from the appetizers to the main course, every detail was executed exactly as it should be. The live music beautifully complemented the evening, adding warmth and elegance to the atmosphere. Service was attentive, gracious, and seamless throughout. A refined and memorable way to celebrate a special night.
We have been here so many times. I'm from the East Coast, NJ area so we are picky about our Italian food and this place never misses. I end up getting one of the specials because the dish is always too good to pass up! Our server Samantha has taken care of us many times and she's excellent, so excellent my husband says he feels bad🤣 she makes you feel like you're her only table and never misses a beat. She needs a raise! My kids are obsessed with her !
Had a lovely meal here on a Thursday. A young man played the piano in the background and the staff offered complimentary champagne for our celebration. All the food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Thank you Samantha for your recommendations and attention to detail. Everyone had a great time and we are sure to be back!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wow — Gourmet Italia never disappoints! The food and service are absolutely over the top. Every bite was fresh, full of flavor, and authentically Italian. You can tell there’s real passion behind what they do. Huge shoutout to Samantha and Marcus for making our experience exceptional. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel completely taken care of from start to finish. If you’re in Temecula and want a place that delivers both amazing food and top-notch service, this is it!
Gourmet Italia is, without a doubt, the best restaurant in Temecula for us. The food is incredibly delicious, featuring fresh ingredients and authentic Italian flavors. The staff is not only friendly but also well-informed about the best dishes on the menu. They offer an impressive selection of wines; our favorite is the Zirah. We’ve been coming here for years, and I highly recommend this exceptional Italian restaurant. 💕
This place is absolutely amazing! First time there this past Saturday, Our server Cristina gave us the best customer experience and service there her recommendations were great! Food was completely delicious and amazing from our appetizer, main dish and dessert I rate it 100/10!!! Fresh delicious food so good! Cristina was very nice and also the other servers there would check up on us to make sure everything was good or if we needed anything. Great environment too they have live music playing, Definitely would love to come here again.Thank you Cristina for a your great customer service!
First of all when you walk in and you see the way that the napkins are folded, I was just amazed by that. Call me easily entertained, but I thought their napkins were really cool! Anyway, the decor in here is really amazing but so is the food and the service was great! A local told us to go here and I’m so glad they did. We ended up splitting the pasta with the meat and the sauce, and I forget what it was called but it was so dang good! See the picture attached. Next time I’m in Temecula, I’ll definitely come back.
From the moment we walked in, our experience at Gourmet Italia was special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff immediately made us feel welcome. Our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive, guiding us through the menu with care and enthusiasm. As we were seated, we heard the soft, beautiful notes of live piano music filling the space. We asked if we could be seated a bit closer, and the staff was more than happy to accommodate—such a thoughtful touch that truly elevated the evening. The food was nothing short of incredible. We started with the Caesar salad, crisp and flavorful, then enjoyed the fettuccine bolognese and the tortellini alla Benigi, both perfectly cooked and rich in flavor. We added a side of grilled chicken breast, which was tender and well-seasoned. To finish, we shared a scoop of chocolate gelato—just the right amount of sweetness to end the meal on a high note. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both outstanding food and a memorable dining experience, but this spot does just that. We will absolutely be back!
Several of our friends recommended Gourmet Italia, so we decided to visit for my husband's birthday. We made a reservation in advance, which is suggested, and we were sat almost immediately (it was 2:30PM so the restaurant was pretty empty anyways). Despite being nearly empty, we were seated at a two person table in the hallway of the restaurant near the deli fridge where they keep the desserts. It wasn't exactly romantic nor secluded which would have been nice considering it was his birthday, but it is what it is. Not a big deal--maybe they sit the larger parties with 4 people or more in the dining room areas. The service was really excellent though--our waitress was quick, kind, and attentive. For appetizers, we ordered the calamari and mussels; the calamari was good and the mussels were decent. We found that they were pretty watery and lacked any real seasoning or flavor like garlic, butter, or salt--the juice was more like lemon, wine, & water--but the mussels themselves were cooked well. Some people like a more thin, wine sauce where you can taste the mussels more--we tend to prefer more creamy, garlic, buttery mussels. For dinner, we ordered the lobster raviolis (they weren't on the menu, so make sure you ask for them), the chicken parmigiana, and the Fusilli Al Filetto (Filet mignon tips, mushrooms in a red wine tomato cream sauce). The lobster raviolis were PHENOMENAL! Hands down the best dish we had for our dinner. The sauce was creamy, flavorful, and delicious--the lobster was cooked perfectly and sweet--and the raviolis themselves were amazing--you could tell they were handmade. The chicken parmigiana was also good, as was the Fusilli Al Filetto--but like the mussels, my husband thought the sauce was pretty watery and tasted like too much wine. He would have preferred a more creamy sauce with the filet tips. For dessert, we got the strawberry cheesecake and berry tart cake--all very good, very fresh, & absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a good meal but the lobster raviolis really put it above and beyond--they are the main reason why we would return to Gourmet Italia!
I visited this establishment, hoping to enjoy some lasagna. The initial hospitality wasn't particularly welcoming, although our server was kind and attentive. We ordered two dishes with a Caesar salad and were surprised to find a fresh anchovy in the salad, which wasn't listed on the menu. Unfortunately, we couldn't decline the salad once it arrived, and we discovered the anchovy. Since the Caesar salad wasn't listed in the menu, it would have been nice to be told just in case someone dislikes fish/ anchovy. The lemon chicken with vegetables was excessively salty and oily. The lasagna was acceptable, though our experience was negatively impacted by the anchovy. The prices were high, and the overall quality of the food wasn't exceptional. I wouldn't recommend this establishment, nor do I plan to return. I was quite disappointed with my visit and the food.
We (party of 4)were really looking forward to eating here. However, it did not work out. I made a reservation and uppon arrival, still had to wait outside for for 35min. I was willing to overlook this since it was a Saturday night. We ordered immediately after we were seated because we saw that it was busy. We proceeded to wait 25min for drinks. The waitress ran by and threw what i assumed was a complementary bruschetta on our table without comment. We did not order it. She did not ask if we even wanted it. People who arrived after us were served. We continued to wait. After 1.5 hrs with no word about our entrees, we left. No one noticed. This place really should not be seating such a high number of diners if they are not able to serve them. I would have been happier if they had turned us away from the start. Such a waste of time! Do not go here. Especially on a weekend!
Had reservations for 530. Ordered food by 550. It’s been 70 minutes and we still don’t have our food. They for sure forgot our orders. Other people have been served. Here for my son’s 5th birthday. Disappointing.
Tldr: Hostess was kind when we came in and let us know she would be right back. Our server was not skilled enough for how many tables she was sat with creating a really bad experience for us and at the end of the night then mocked me and actively avoided saying goodbye to us. Full experience: The hostess was about to walk away for a second and was genuinely nice. She smiled and said hello welcome, I'll be right with you. We stood there for about 6 minutes. Next we were sat, and I knew it was going to be poor service when we were sat because the server was over sat with a large party who she prioritized their experience over ours. We sat at our table for 8 minutes (yes. I looked at my watch and counted because I was hungry and ready to just leave) before she came up to us (but not even to take our order, just to greet us) Her SA came by with water and was really kind. We had fully looked at the menu already before she came by. Finally, she walked up and said, "I'll be right with you" then proceeded to make us wait another 3 minutes. The table next to us got desert, and the man at the table handed her his card to pay and told her to take her time, she grabbed it, turned, looked at us, like she was going to take our order, then decided nah I'll charge his card first then take their order (which is what she did).A stronger server would have been more lean with their time, realize they have a dessert to finish, pivot to take an order, then go back to charge a card and ring and order simultaneously. She came back, didn't tell us any specials, didn't really care**, said "Looks like you're ready to order " or some variation of that. Can't recall her exact words but it was enough for us for us to realize if we don't order everything up front, nothing will come out for another hour. We asked for samples of two wines, ordered a "starter" and two plates. We ate 2 baskets of bread before the wine samples came out. At this point I'm ready to ask for everything to go but my husband asked me to be patient and that it was okay, we were already here, no reason to get up and leave now. We get the wine samples and proceed to wait for another 10 minutes before I finally asked the SA if we could order two glasses of wine. To which, he asked the server to come back. Note all the while, the server in the section next to us was watching our table the entire time, glancing at us, being calm with her tables and could tell we were frustrated but didn't even try to check on us. (Not her monkeys. Not here circus, right?) Server comes back, gets our wine order, then our entrees don't come out for a reallllllyyyyyy long time. Makes me think she forgot to ring them in and pretended it was a kitchen error. Lady, I was a server and a bartender, I know the game. Food comes out and she finally checks on us, I thought that her night was starting to slow down so I wanted to share that we decided to get the lasagna and the fettuccine Bolognese because we have a favorite spot up by us and like to compare Bolognese at different Italian restaurants so we said it came in second to the place that we really like, she laughed, walked away we finished our orders, asked for a box, and then with a less inviting tone after we denied a desert menu she said "oh you didn't want to judge our tiramisu?" That was not a friendly tone in the way that she had said it so I said no... we'd like the check she came back, we paid, as we stood up very slowly to walk out of the restaurant I made eye contact with her and she watched us stand up and get maybe 6 ft from her and instead of saying goodbye she turned around and proceeded to talk to a different server instead of wishing us a good night
Hostess doesn't understand what a reservation means. We had a reservation for 6:00pm. We showed up at 6:03pm to a long line flowing out of the door. We stood in line for 10 minutes and it wasn't moving. A lady behind us asked if we had a reservation and we said yes. She then walked into the restaurant and spoke with the hostess, who then immediately sat her at a 2 top (same reservation we had). I then went in and told the hostess I had a 6:00 reservation and she replied "you will have to wait in line". I told her a woman behind us just walked in and was sat right away, but she didn't care. She had an attitude and just ignored me. Went back into the line. The couple in line in front of us were next and I heard them tell the hostess they had a 6:15 reservation but also had a concert that night they needed to get to. The hostess immediately sat them, even though our reservation time was before theirs. We were up next. It is now 6:22 and the hostess checks us in and tells us we need to take a seat on the couch. I explained to her we had a 6:00 reservation, do you not honor a reservation time? She stated they do not honor the time, they go by whoever is in line first. So basically they don't take reservations, its first come first served. We ended up not getting sat until 6:42. We sit right next to the woman that was originally in line behind us, come to find out the owner is being all pervy on her at the table, so she must know him and get special treatment. Our waitress was nice and after we explained how everything was going so far she seemed like she wanted to help with a good service. Unfortunately she dropped the ball when she asked if I wanted a box I said yes, she took my dish to be boxed and never brought it back. We usually love coming here but you guys really need to learn how to honor reservations.
