First time trying it out and I'm very impressed. Food was fresh, on time, cooked well next time I'll ask for it cooked just a little longer. I must say I was very pleased for my first visit!!

They always hook me up with extra tenders and upsizing the drink which is honestly a blessing, you guys rock so much.

The chicken tenders here are crunchy on the outside, soft and nice on the inside, and always comes out warm and fresh. Also, the bread I eat here are always very tasty. (They also have free ice cream!) If you ever want to get tenders or chicken, I highly recommend Golden Chick. The bathrooms here are also clean and doesnt smell bad unlike other fast food places. It's in good condition. This is honestly one of my favorite fast food places!

The food was beyond my expectations, the new manager Sean Kim is very customer friendly. He made a few rounds around the store to make sure everyone was enjoying their food. I highly recommend golden chick to anyone that is looking for a great place to eat.

The people who work here are so friendly and nice. We had such a good experience and free ice cream. The facility was very clean, parking lot was clean and bathroom were spotless. We will definatly be back! :)

4 piece spicy tender meal, the strips were not as spicy as they were on my last visit, but they were still delicious.This is my go to spot every time I stop in Terrell Tx.

The food was delicious. Everything was good. Next time we are in town, we will be stopping by again. The food was hot and fresh, and the Mac and cheese was extra creamy. The fish was good as well. Don't get me started on those freshly baked rolls. I'm not a bread person, but when those rolls came out of the oven, it was like a sweet, fluffy cloud melting in your mouth.

Best service I’ve had in a while. Short and sweet. I put in an online order and a separate order in the drive-through and the process was easy 100% of the way. Very helpful and nice employees. My company orders for 50 people sometime from this place and they always treat us right!

I recently visited the Golden Chick in Terrell, and I was so impressed by the positive changes! You can really tell there is new leadership in place. The new General Manager, Axel, is doing a phenomenal job. He was visible in the dining area, making sure everything was running smoothly and checking in on guests, which you don't always see in fast food. The customer service was top-notch—friendly, fast, and professional. As for the food, it was amazing. My Golden Tenders were perfectly crispy and hot, the rolls were fresh and buttery, and the sides were delicious. If you haven’t been to this location in a while, it’s definitely time to come back. Axel and his team have really leveled up the experience here. Highly recommended!

That spicy chicken sandwich is delicious indeed it comes only with pickles and cheese so you might want to add a salad side and put that in it for more flavor, the French fries also had delicious flavor. Inside was very clean and the staff was fast with my order, I recommend you go try this out for yourself

This location has funnel cakes for dessert. There fish is always amazing. Manager took our order with precise energy. Offered extra items to make sure our order was correct. He did it with a smile. Love the customer service. It's important to me.

Very surprised! We got the roasted chicken and it was flavorful and juicy. But the pieces were small. I had a side of coldslaw, and it tasted like cabbage without a flavorful dressing.

The food is fresh and hot the roasted chicken is delicious The staff is friendly and courteous and they always give service with a smile the prices are not bad. Go and take the family bon appetit.

We stopped in here today and the place was very clean. The counter ladies were very polite and friendly. They waited patiently for us to make a decision because they did not have enough white roasted meat to complete our order. The roasted chicken was cooked prefect and not over seasoned, as has been the case with other locations. The rolls have gotten smaller (my hips thank you), but taste just as great. The gravy was lumpy and sparse (again, my hips thank you). But then, I’ve never been overly impressed with the side dishes.

It was my first time here since it has been open. I loved the service but when I received our family order we didn't get our gravy for the chicken tenders. We got everything and it was great.The double macaroni and cheese was delicious.

Food was really good. The prices have gone up here. But, so has everywhere else. We got "The Mixer" with fried and roasted chicken with regular and spicy chicken tenders. Nice variety!

I got the 6 piece wing combo dinner but was charged for the 9 piece. Went back in to get it fixed and the lady only gave me a couple options. Either they reimburse me and charge me again for the 6 piece (that didn’t make sense), give me a side or just give me the 3 wings. I would’ve opted for the difference in cash but I guess they don’t have that? I just got the extra wings. Wings were fresh as always, bun was hard as a rock though, and fries were fresh. Just make sure to check your order.

Good place for a quick bite if you work at the mall close by. I think this store could use an overhaul on the inside look of it, not to mention the awkward drive thru board/speaker.

Terrell location: The food is good but everytime I go, the chicken isn't ready & it's a 15 min wait!!! How are you a fried chicken spot but never have any chicken ready?? Hopefully the one due to in Forney will have better service.

Food is very good, staff is very friendly... Last time I went I upgraded my fries to large but neither of the boxes were barely full. It was an hour before closing maybe that was why, or a bad day because this has never happened before

The chicken was good. The fries seemed buttery. The people were polite, but the service was slow. Regarding the atmosphere, there was no working heater inside the lobby.

I ordered the fish and I wasn't happy with what I got. The taste was ok but it wasn't aesthetically pleasing. The cole slaw wasn't what I had expected either, it was flavorless and extremely dry. Just not a good lunch experience.

Ordered two spicy chicken sandwiches, were dry as a bone. Medium fry wouldn't pass as a small at any other fast food joint. Disappointed with this location.

I went through the drive through and the staff seemed like they didn't want to be there. The food was okay. Always room for improvement.

I know we got there late, about 9:00pm but the food we got was sub-par tonight. The rolls we got on our meals we under cooked, they were still doughy inside, my okra tasted like it had been sitting under a hot lamp for quite awhile because they were a rubbery texture and the gravy I got for my tenders wasn't even half full in the container. I usually get pretty good food here but tonight was very disappointing.

The food was fine. However - this location does not have forks. How are customers supposed to eat a salad? Spoons don't do it.... I checked with an employee, and she shrugged and looked around and said "oh - we don't have those". 🤷🤦🚫🍴 I ate what I could - and had to take the salad and dressing home to eat later - where I have a fork. 🤦

This review pains my heart because I really only like to give good reviews and I like Golden Chick (the location in Gun Barrel, TX is amazing) . There is plenty of negativity out there, I try not to add to it. That being said, I have stopped at this location twice in the last month and both times the service has been awful and the chicken has been cold. The pattern I have experienced is being ignored as I stand at the order to order, and it taking an exorbitant about of time to deliver the chicken. I'm not abandoning Golden Chick, but I will not likely be revisiting this location for a while.

Food was good for the most part. The spicy chicken sucked they just POUR seasoning over the middle of the tenders and call it good. Mashed potatoes were cold and they messed up several orders including ours while we were there.

This place needs help and some good leadership. They were out of napkins, the trash cans were full...all of them. Ordered a regular mashed potatoes and gravy and it was a serving size for a baby. I asked why was it so small and they told me so the lid could fit. A whole 4 bites of mashed potatoes for 3 dollars in a tiny bowl.

Went in to the Terrell Texas location and tried to order dinner and I was informed that it would be 16 to 26 minutes till it was ready. Don't understand and Will Not Go Back again.

The people who take orders on the drive thru are never paying attention and always get something wrong, it's honestly impressive how many times they give the wrong thing or just forget something. if you go make sure to triple check your bags otherwise they'll just rob you of what you paid for

My husband and I just got home with my order. We asked for zing and then checked with him to make sure. He lied and said yes. My catfish and shrimp didn’t look cooked all the way so it’s in the oven. Got charged .78 for my cocktail sauce. Idk if the guy that handed our food to us Joshua but that’s what’s on my ticket. With pay increases and food increases it would seem the employees would care enough to at least put the zing in the bag. Not happy

purchased golden roast chicken and was unable to eat due till been over season with salt. spoke with the manager and explain to him Chicken has to much of Salt, not able eat, he wanted me to bring him the chicken back explain to him that I am a truck driver and will not be there for next two days but I do live in Terrell. He wanted me to bring this chicken back after sitting for 2 days in my truck I told him chicken will smell once I arrived back in town. Can I use my receipt to get a refund? The manager was so rude and said that I cannot get a refund or replace food until I bring the chicken back, it's their policy. why would the store manager want me to bring smelling food back into their store.

Yesterday (12/20/21) I order my wicked chicken 9pc. Combo...I ask them for freshly cooked chicken not the left over because the left over chicken shrinks when left out for a long period of time. I ask that THEY do not mix the fresh with the old, because THEY have done that to me to. When I got to the window THEY gave me my order and it was old chicken that they warm up claiming it was freshly cooked. I knew it wasn't because I would have to wait for the chicken. So when I sent it back THEY did put the freshly cooked in the container, plus they shortage me 3 psc.

Poor service in drive though. Wasn’t busy only two cars ahead of me when I pulled into lot. Waited to order my food. Employee talking over me as I’m ordeeing. Then waited in line 15 minutes and when I finally get to window no one came to take money greet me or say can you hold on a second. Employees working the drive thru window last night had their masks around their necks. They didn’t even bother to pretend to pull them up while serving. We were so shocked we drove away with the food but didn’t feel comfortable eating it due to the lack of COVID Precautions we witnessed so we threw it away.

Went Thursday night after work and ordered a 3 piece tender regular and a 6 piece spicy tender, paid cash. When I got home, I live about 2 miles away, my order was wrong and my everything was cold. I called and spoke with an employee who told me they would write my name down with the orders I made and just to come back whenever and tell someone my name was wrote down and would be fixed when I come back. I went back last night and walked inside and asked to speak with the manager and told her the situation and she got very rude with me and told me unless I had a receipt that it wouldn't get fixed. Although I told her the girl I spoke to said they wrote everything down and I even showed her my phone call record for the night I left not satisfied, she still would not even try and give me a discount on my next purchase even tho they messed up and then a couple had ordered while I was talkin to the manager and they returned their food to the counter and I said to the manager see its not like I'm lying. None the less I walked out unsatisfied with their poor management, no food, and won't be a returning customer to this location.

I ordered the lemon zesty wings on 12/10/24 around 10:35am when Golden Chick opened... and the chicken was not fresh... it tasted like it had been sitting under a heating lamp and the fries had the same taste... a while after I ate the chicken I became nauseous and I had pain in my stomach and then bad diarrhea occurred along with a fever and today is 12/12/24 and I'm still sick... 😫 I won't be eating anything from Golden Chick anymore....

Well hello my sister and brothers out here in Terrell Texas. This horrible experience wasn't even close to all the other times I came to enjoy after eating at Golden Chick Catfish and Chicken Tenders and Jalapeno Cheese poppers. This experience has two young men at the drive through and a worker in the rear of the store cutting up roasted chicken into pieces and a young lady managing the front register.and another young man handling the fryer. I witnessed the young man on the fryer drop the hand tongs on the floor and just looked at them while the young lady picked them up to place them on the counter but seen my reaction then took them to the back for washing. They had over cooked the dinner rolls. The catfish is beyond nasty. They haven't cleaned these fish at all. Veins are coming out of the fish once you bite into it this is so nasty it feels like someone's thick hair is pulling from the meat once you bite into the fish so grotesque. There are rolls on the floor that I assume would have been picked up in place back into the tray if no one was watching the attitude was terrible on Forest to keep the area clean. The young man in the rear cutting up the rotisserie chicken was breaking the chicken off in pieces over the trash can instead of on the counter he did this periodically who is managing these young people who is taught them to be so poor and ethics to where people could get sick from their poor standard of selling to the public and how many of you really care they are doing this type of behavior serving the public food that we take home to our families. First stop would be management then second would be trained every last one of them and who would actually take strong interest to change their behavior and the rest I would let go. Bottom line is home teaching would still keep someone from making these mistakes so I guess none of them meet the code in my standards.

Service was slow but the staff was friendly. Flattest piece of catfish I ever had. All crust, no meat. Flavor was good but it was cooked a little too long. Rolls were delicious with a honey butter taste. Btw,no honey for our rolls and no ketchup.

Drove up, they said the system was down, waited 5 minutes. When I said we will just come inside to wait, the guy on the speaker said okay. We drove around to find they locked the doors. He said before it was slow due to slow wifi. Today's time I doubt a business would survive with bad internet and this would be fixed rapidly.

I was disappointed in the disrespectful and dismissive manner I was treated once I indicated that I had a issue with my food. I asked to speak to a manager and still not sure if the person who indicated she was a manager actually was. I am still waiting on the refund for the unauthorized charge of placed on my account. I ordered 6 PC wings and was offered 3 wings 3 tenders. I asked for a side a green beans the container was half full. I also order a 2 PC roasted chicken and had a side salad. The side salad was old rusted lettuce. There was nothing palatable about these meals. I will not be back.

Went there last week. Order totaling 57.00 dollars and 20 piece tender went to dogs, chicken tough tasted like it was old. Ordered extra mashed potatoes which didn't receive filled out survey and received message the care team would reach out to me and they never responded back. So they won't get my business anymore. Tired of spending that much money not to have someone replace order or refund my money.

We stopped in and ordered 6 shrimp, 9 chicken wings fries 2 pieces of catfish and a drink. We were cheated out of 3 shrimp and fries were ice cold. They threw in a roll that was hard. So needless to say we did not get part of our order and threw away over half of our meal. We ordered to go so i was not turning around. The best part was the 2 pieces of catfish. At a chicken place who would think the catfish was the best.

Do not recommend using the app to place an order. I placed the order ahead of time for a specific time and already paid and they told my husband that there was no order and even when he showed them the confirmation number and asked for a manager they did nothing about it which I think is not very manager like…. She could have offered some type of solution.

I am not sure who owns this particular location, I was excited when Terrell got a golden chic Because I think the rolls and their zing sauce, pretty much all their food is good. This location however, has gone downhill considerably. Partly because it is ran by teenagers with no kind of management. The past three times I’ve gone There have been issues, The biggest issue I had was that two times I went some teenager on the intercom told me and everyone else in the drive through line, that they could not serve me because they didn’t have any food. I doubt very seriously that was true. There is a bunch of teenagers working and no one is watching them, they don’t want to work so they’re telling people they don’t have any food. I’m not leaving this review because I think the food is bad. I’m leaving this review so that the owner knows. If you want your business to be successful, you better go check on those kids you’ve hired to run it because they are not doing what you are paying them to do.

I just left here 15 minutes ago! My chicken was old and was barely warm. My dirty rice was old and tasted like it had been scorched/burned. I am a very unhappy customer for $23.

I stopped here a week ago to order the chicken salad and some rolls for dinner. Their "family" order of chicken salad was a half-empty tub, or "two scoops" as the employee informed me. She then told me a single order is "one scoop". So, apparently a family-sized order is enough for two people instead of one. That math doesn't work. When I asked the employee to inquire of the manager, he sent her back to the window to basically let me know, "it is what it is". I also wrote to them to express my disappointment with the purchase and the way it was handled, but no one from the company has had the decency to respond. There's too much competition in the area to treat your guests like that. I will be taking my business elsewhere. In this economy value and good customer service are so important for small business. I placed an order yesterday for pick up that said it would be ready at 2:55 pm , it took my payment and everything just for me to get there and then be closed til 4. So when I call them after 4 (I had to be at work and couldn’t go up there) they tell me they can’t issue refunds at the store for online orders and to go on the website and contact them. But when you go on the website it literally says to contact the location directly. So I call them back and tell them and they said the GM wouldn’t be in til tomorrow morning, I have been calling all morning with no answer. I just want my money back for food I never received because they were closed.

Another what should be positive experience ruined with bad customer service. If a person comes into your establishment, once you acknowledge them, greet them, you never know how much a warm smile and inviting tone will take you. The 2 ladies working, saw me standing there and said nothing, except spoke amongst themselves. For about 3 minutes I stood there; it took a young lady (Sa'Riyah) that was working drive-thru to notice me and speak; Not only did she speak, she took my order while the other 2 looked on talking amongst themselves still. I dined in but wished deep down I shouldn't have 🤦🏿.... Now, I can't tell anyone to "love their job", but that's something they signed up for. Whatever the circumstances, you chose Golden Chick as your place of employment. To the young lady that did take my order, I pray that you will go far in life and should you join the military, I sincerely hope you get exactly whatever it is you seek out to.... I put my pinky next to the chicken tender for comparison) 3. The customer service was TERRIBLE. The guy taking the order didn’t even let us finish ordering before giving the total. Also, he didn’t speak at all. He just grabbed the credit card and handed the food over. I personally prefer to go elsewhere.

We went through drive thru and when we got home, most of our chicken was undercooked. Fresh yes, but undercooked to where it was still pink. I called the store and no one ever picked up the phone. Also didn’t get a receipt. Probably not going back to this location again.
