Opinions de Cabo Cantina Hollywood
They have a delicious taco and beer deal for 10 bucks! And Tuesday is All You Can Eat Tacos for 10 bucks! It's a great atmosphere and very friendly and beautiful staff!
Love this place! 🌮✨ Cabo Cantina has such a fun, laid-back vibe that instantly makes you feel like you’re on vacation. The margaritas are strong and delicious (especially the spicy one), and the tacos are packed with flavor and super fresh. Service was friendly and fast, even when it got busy, and the atmosphere is perfect for a casual night out with friends or a pre-party spot before heading out. If you’re looking for good energy, great drinks, and solid Mexican food, this is definitely a go-to in LA. Would 100% come back!
Went in for drinks and maybe food and turned out they had cheap drinks and a great Taco Tuesday deal. 2 tacos for $10 then its AYCE single tacos after the first 2. I had 4 tacos because they are good size. Adrian is a great bartender with a friendly manager Christian by his side making it work. We underestimated this place at first but after giving it a chance im happy we did.
We found this place randomly in 2023 when we visited los angeles and walk of fame, we tried tacos and margaritas and they were amazing! Yesterday i was visiting again los angeles and i instantly thought about having lunch again in this restaurant! The food was delicious and they also have all you can eat tacos Tuesday offer if you ever visit on a Tuesday 🥰 Lovely place and hopefully will be back when in town! 🫶🏻
Food quality is on par with the Santa Monica restaurant. Service is on par with Santa Monica restaurant. The atmosphere is like the Santa Monica restaurant, it's like beach style, tiki room, and zany style. They use the same menu and have the same happy hours, 4-8 pm daily. Between Sunday and Thursday they have late night happy hour from 10:30-12:30 pm. Oh, this place has a DJ and Santa Monica restaurant doesn't. I just noticed the difference.
Went Cabo Cantina on a Saturday night on a whim. The crowd was small but the fun was gigantic. First the margaritas were huge! 3 1/2 shots the waitress said. They use patron and I have to say a $24 margarita never tasted so good. I got the regular and my friend got the Cosmopolitan. We’d like to have added chips but the kitchen was closed. Seems like chips at a Mexican restaurant shouldn’t require the kitchen be open but I get it. It was after 12am already. The music the DJ was playing was spot on. It was video mixing the greatest hip hop and r&b of the 90 and 2000s. The stuff everyone knows the words to. I was looking around and would catch people singing along and since I’m being honest I was too. So for a Saturday Night get out come with a few friends and turn up because after your margarita, and with the great music they’re playing you can’t help but turn up to a great time at Cabo Cantina.
I had such a great experience at Cabo Cantina thanks to Ericka and Daniel! Ericka provided amazing service—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the visit. She has such a welcoming energy that really elevated the experience. Daniel, the bartender, was fantastic. He mixed up some of the best drinks I’ve had in a while—especially the Cadillac Margaritas, which were smooth, flavorful, and perfectly made. He kept the vibe fun and lively behind the bar all night. And I can’t forget the food—the Muchos Nachos were absolutely delicious and the perfect dish to share while enjoying the margaritas. Together, Ericka and Daniel made the night memorable, and I’ll definitely be back because of the great service, amazing drinks, and tasty food.
It was a great place - didn’t get a drink (their happy hour specials were GREAT) - but ordered the salsa and queso dip for apps - the salsa was delicious and had a kick to it. I got the Barrio burrito (was vegetarian) and it was a HUGE portion. It was cut in half and I only ate one half of it. The staff were very attentive and checked on our table often. Overall- great food and service!
The place has great music. The staff is friendly and professional. The place is popping. The happy hour specials are so worth it. The drinks are delicious and big. I ordered the nachos and fries from the regular menu. Big platters with everything not stingy with the toppings. So delicious. You have to come here for happy hour or for brunch this is a very cool spot.
We had a very good experience at this great venue staff were very friendly and attentive. The large margaritas were right size for my wife. The nice cold coronas were right for me. The food was good and certainly good for your needs. Thank you to the staff for your great service and we would definitely recommend this place for a cold drink and feed.
Cabo Cantina in Hollywood is a great place to stop if you’re exploring the Walk of Fame. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, perfect for tourists or a casual hangout. The Mucho nachos were really good—crispy, cheesy, and loaded with toppings. But the highlight? The margaritas! They’re massive, refreshing, and pack a punch. Got the quesadilla with shrimp which I don’t normally do, but it was really tasty. Our waiter was awesome, he had a little sass which I appreciated, and he gave really good recommendations. It’s definitely a fun spot to relax and people-watch while enjoying good food and drinks. Overall, a solid experience in the heart of Hollywood!
Good food, good drinks and great location if you’re visiting. This is sports bar meets mexican food. So you have screens, tacos and truck load of margaritas to choose from. 2for1 on all drinks 7 days a week between 4-8pm mean you’ll be singing your way through your meal. Ordered steak tacos, Beef fajita, chicken fajitas and taquitos. All the food was good. Chicken Taquitos are my new addiction, so was great to have that here. Steak Tacos were good, but not the best. Will have to try out their cocktails when I’m not driving as they were gigantic! This is a tourist hotspot with TCL Chinese Theatre just a few minutes away. Seating available outside by the street to soak up some that Hollywood walk of fame atmosphere. Service was ok, host didn’t look as happy as we were though. Overall, good place to stop for lunch before getting back on the tourist trail!
We were walking along Hollywood Blvd and got hungry. This was the first place we came upon so gave it a try. The waitress was less than friendly and didn't seem happy we showed up. When getting attitude the entire time we were ordering it was great to have someone else bring out the food and actually seem to be appreciative that we were eating and enjoying the food. I had the steak quesadilla and it was amazing. My wife had a burrito and it also was very good. The portions were huge and neither of us could finish it all Overall the attitude from the waitress brought down what could have been a really good meal.
We live nearby and wanted to go somewhere walkable. We came here before and wanted to try it again, enticed by the happy hour 2 for 1. Jamesons was packed because of the broncos TNF game and Cabo was pretty empty. When we looked at the menu, we saw in two places on the menu you "could" upgrade your Margherita to a Mega Margherita. My fiancee and I both thought that would be too much for a Thursday and so we'd go with 2 regular sized ones. We ordered 2 margs and a couple of burritos. The margs came and we both were shocked at how big it was, even saying out loud "wow if this is the regular what does the mega look like." We maybe got through half of the drinks and half of the food (which were both really good!) When the check came, the price was way higher than we expected, and were told that the mega Margheritas weren't part of the 2 for 1 happy hour. We were both confused, considering we didnt order mega sized, but now understood why they were that big. We asked the server why they gave us mega sized and she said "thats what were known for." And that we "had to specificy" if we want a regular sized one. I gotta be honest, it very much felt like we were intentionally misled into spending a lot more than we anticipated here, and makes me unlikely to recommend it or come back, which is a shame cause we're so close and the food and drinks were great. If you say on the menu "you can upgrade any Margherita to a mega" its implying the default order is a regular sized one. Ive never seen any place intentionally get the order wrong to charge you more, or at least CHECK if the drink size was right. I get the demographic here is tourists, but a big oof from these locals.
Well I use to love going here, drink specials were great now the drink size is half of what it used to be to be and the prices have increased. I went twice in one month and the atmosphere is empty and lonely, like you’re at home watching TV. Food wasn’t bad but I got all you can eat tacos that came with rice and beans, good price on taco Tuesday, don’t offer any cilantro and onions to top off tacos, but they had some you just had to ask. If I’m just desperate and no other place to go that’s close, I will go back, but rather not
I enjoyed the food and drinks however, when it came time to pay the bill I was tricked into tipping more than I would have. It bothers me because I always tip but to be forced to tip what the waiter wants is worse than having to tip on top of gratuity. I was distracted with my baby in the stroller and Sam asked what did I want to tip, his options started at 18% and I asked a couple of times. What else is there? He said that’s it so I said ok do the 18 but I wasn’t really thinking because I know I could have chosen a custom amount. I wasn’t even drunk, just distracted and I’m so bothered that he did that because the service wasn’t even worth the kind of tip that he took. He took forever to wait on us and take our orders so no I would not have tipped $25. I just looked at my receipt and the tipping options started at 2% not 18%. I’m disgusted that he feels he has to trick people out of a bigger tip. I’m a single mother and wanted to treat my sister from out of town to dinner. I feel robbed. It’s a nice place to visit but please pay attention when he has your card and asks what would you like to tip. Choose your own option and don’t get bamboozled by Sam K.
I ordered A Bloody Mary and it was the worst thing I had Ever had, I was Told they could not removed it from the bill even though I didn’t Drink it. Absolute worse customer service. I absolutely do not recommend that place to anyone. They are just there taking advantage of the tourists and don’t care about the locals
This is from an experience a few months ago that I thought I’d share. I used to come here from 2014-2020 and always had an amazing time. This was our first time back since pre-COVID and while the atmosphere was still fun, the service was terrible. Ericka was our server and she was nice and attentive. However, she can be a thief. My previous orders from that night had gone smooth with her, it wasn’t until the last order that things went sour. I ordered a round of shots for my group and I had turned my head for a couple of seconds but when I turned back to Ericka and the tablet she was holding, I saw her with my own eyes click on the 25% tip and then asked me to sign. At first I was in shock, but there was so much going on around me that I decided to sign and question her about it later. Big mistake. If you see this happen, confront the server at that very moment and do not sign anything. The bar was closing and I had very politely approached her about it asking why she would do that. She immediately got defensive and started accusing me of calling her a thief. I told her the other times she took my order, I had the option to tip, which I did. I asked if she didn’t click on anything, then why didn’t I have the option to choose my tip for the last order? She denied all of it and for some strange reason at first she offered to refund me the tip but then she withdrew her offer and told me to handle it with my credit card company. I respectfully walked away and called the next day and dealt with management who was very helpful and got me my refund for the tip that she gave herself. My advice to everyone, just be aware of how much you’re being charged and make sure you’re the one choosing how much to tip. Especially with Ericka.
I visited here this past weekend for the first time with many friends, I went up to the bar to order drinks and had a bad experience. First, the bartender stated he can make a certain shot to which I was given the wrong shot. Second, I requested two shots and was given and charged for three. Th third, I was paying my total with a card and reaching into my wallet to leave a cash tip when I was told by the male bartender that I needed to tip and if I didn't he would remember that. I stated I am opening my wallet for a cash tip and he said oh okay good. Very unprofessional and bad service all around
DO NOT PLAN A BIRTHDAY PARTY HERE The worst. Waitress took 20 minutes before taking our order. Then never brought my drinks. After another 15, i just went to the bar and got it myself. I Had invited 30 people there for my birthday so i got there early and held a booth in corner for the party. Another group walked in and asked if anyone was sitting there. I say sorry but yes. Then they came back and said the staff told them they could take it over. There were plenty of other open tables. They kicked me out of my booth, it was so weird. The staff here just sucks. Went to Jamesons next door, the staff sang, brought me a free shot, they were the best! Forget this place, Jamesons is where it’s at
