We had the bone in ribeye! It was delicious, highly recommend with the garlic mash and lobster Mac & cheese. Also the brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly, still crunchy. Also your plate is served hot enough to cook the stake to medium, we ordered medium rare and it was perfect, even for as long as it takes me to eat!!! Lmao

The service was great. Our server was extremely polite and knowledgeable about the menu items. Most of the food was delicious and our drinks were great. My only complaint was the steak. It was cooked perfectly, but it did not have enough flavor.

Great Anniversary Dinner with family! Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Everything we had was delicious. For years, Mastro's has always been a very enjoyable experience.

Mastro's was Superb, we had a Wonderful first Dining out Experience. Staff was fantastic, professional, gracious and personable, Brandon, Melissa and Adrian helped us all feel very special and well cared for. Adrian's presentations and meals were simply fabulous and Delicious, he rocked as usual. We had all Bone in KC Strips, Filets, a NY & a Ribeye, and all were cooked perfectly and so good. We also had Crab Legs and Scallops at the table, delicious, and of course an assortment of Appetizers, Sides and a large Butter Cake, Ice Cream and Fruit Platter for Desert. We’ve dined at multiple Mastro’s restaurants across the country many times over, however this particular location has always been our favorite. While the view at Mastros Ocean Club is undeniably the best, this location has mastered the savory flavor of their dishes just a tad bit more than the others. The waiting staff is very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We started out with the delicious bread bowl followed by a bowl of lobster bisque. Both were incredibly tasty. My daughter swears by their sautéed shrimp appetizer and typically will order it as her entree. It comes with 3 jumbo shrimp, so she usually will add on two more and it totally satisfies her appetite. My husband had the sautéed Chilean sea bass and confirmed it to be the best he’s EVER had. Super moist on the inside with a crispy outer crust—and packed with flavor! My son and I always have the Cajun rubbed ribeye and it’s always a 10 for 10. For the side dishes, we ordered the lobster mashed potatoes (incredible!!), sautéed button mushrooms, and sautéed spinach. Everything was incredible. Easily a 5 star experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What can you say about Mastro’s🤷‍♀️🎉 It’s dependably great with wonderful steaks, seafood, cocktails and desserts! The sides are family style and make for amazing left overs 💗 The bar is comfortable and rich and they always have a great lounge singer that creates a wonderful ambiance. Oh and the cocktails …the cocktails are huge 😳 and are really like 2 for one so you have to be careful or you can get loopy lol love it 🎉🎉🎉

This is probably rated as one of my all time top steakhouses. The steak was cooked to perfection and flavorful and sides were perfect. Service was impeccable. Definitely worth the splurge on special occasions. Be sure to make reservations, even weekdays can get crowded.

GREAT FOOD AND EXPERIENCE! We came here based on recommendations from people we met at our hotel and it did not disappoint! Phenomenal. We ordered the Seared Bigeye Tuna that left my husband and son speechless, the pretzel bread with butter, Kansas cut Strip and bone-in ribeye. The sides were broccoli and Mac n cheese. I would say our least favorite was the Mac n cheese as it is made with Gorgonzola cheese and it was in the butter side. The steaks were cooked to perfection. I like a very well done steak and they did it without drying it out. I highly recommend!

EXCELLENT service & fancy dining for those who want to just enjoy the experience with the bonus of delicious food! Here we have the bread basket with assorted bread & butter (very good). And the Big Eye Tuna Tostadas (yummy & you get 3!). And the Jalapeño Tuna Sashimi (I had 2 pieces so it’s 2 + whatever in the picture). Very yummy. And the Pomegranate Martini (sooo good!) They shake it right in front of you!!! It will get you drunk. Anyway, great service, atmosphere, and experience!!!

I have been to this establishment twice. This place is nothing but amazing. Hands down the best service, the best quality food, and the best atmosphere. That being said, you will pay the hefty price. This is the type of place you go to impress someone. This is the type of place you go for a nice, romantic dinner. This is the type of place you go to propose to your significant other. The food is amazing. The waygu beef was super tender and moist. A little overpriced in my personal opinion. I liked my coworkers bone in rib eye instead. The sides were awesome. Definitely try the bone marrow. All in all, treat yourself once in a while and go here.

We had a great anniversary dinner here... All the service staff was very attentive with great customer service and the food was amazing! Everything was perfect. It was a few months ago but I thing we got the butter bread for dessert... It was absolutely to die for!

The portion size was family style, so it was definitely enough to share.

Celebrated my 64th birthday with my family (3 generations), and we enjoyed excellent food, drinks, dessert, capaccino, ......... and wonderful service. Consistently great food, ambiance, and service!

It’s a very nice place, but it’ll cost ya. The food is delicious and portions are actually pretty generous. Staff is patient and helpful. There *is* a dress code, but it isn’t strongly enforced (though I wish it were). I would recommend the scallops and butter cake!

Started out my Birthday at Mastro’s in Thousand Oaks, the food, service was amazing, the entertainment was also great and I could not believe the piano player sang all of my favorite songs from the moment I walked through that front door until the moment I left, not really sure what brought all those songs on but it brought back so many good memories ❤️ wish I would’ve captured more photos of the food but was just to busy enjoying it.

$$$ Outstanding service. Breads: 5 bread, bread basket. Wines: Dauo red and Micheles white Appitizer: Jumbo shrimp cocktail. Perfect cook. Not tough or soft. Entree: 8oz. Filet Mignon, butterfly cut. Perfect temp. Juicy. Melted like buttah. Sides: Garlic mashed potatoes, sauté asparagus, brocolini, and house salad Perfect finish, Desert: Butter bread with vanilla ice cream top and strawberry drizzle. Attentive staff and not rushed. Highly recommend.

Had my son's reception there. Everything was fabulous! Good food, good service and a great atmosphere! Would highly recommend!

It has been a go to spot over the years for birthdays, graduations, client events, etc...You know going in that it's going to be a bit of a splurge, however, for these one off occasions it can be justified. Just be aware that things can add up very quickly with everything being a la carte and especially when you throw in a drink or two. The food is usually consistently well executed, however, I have noticed a little bit of a decline over the years. Service is always top notch and you always feel well cared for. It's just that with the cost being what it is, there are other really good options to also consider these days. Just don't forget the Butter Cake at the end!

We love coming here! The entire staff is attentive and informative. Debbie was our server, and she surpassed all of our expectations. We ate the A5 Waygu steak, the 16 oz steaks, lobster Mac and cheese, and the garlic mashed potatoes. The lemon drop martinis are delicious also. Cheers!

The crust on my steak was amazing! Have been to this location multiple times and they deliver every single time. I know what level of food and service I will be getting and it always exceeds my expectations.

Great experience with great food. The hostess and manager were super friendly and inviting, the atmosphere was just as I had hoped and the seats on the piano were so fun with the live music. Would come again if I lived closer.

Last night we went to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday, party of 7. We made reservations and were seated right away. Our waiter was Michael ( Mikey ) to say he did an amazing job is an understatement. He was phenomenal, the service was the best we’ve ever had. We’ve been to several Mastros and service was always good but last night was the best we’ve ever had at any restaurant. His personality, service, professionalism was excellent. We took our teens for the first time and they wanted to try a fancy drink, he recommended a few Mocktails and they were delicious. The food was great as usual. But service was definitely incredible!! Can’t wait to be back and ask for him.

We’ve had multiple dinners at Mastro’s. Always a celebration, birthday anniversary graduation. We can expect excellent service and delicious food each and every time.

I visited this with high expectations based on peer recommendations and Maestros did not disappoint. I enjoyed a very delicious steak. Service was top notch. Valet parking is pro. Good wine selection. The dessert was wow also. It’s a vibe.

A couple of days before Christmas Eve, we made reservations for a party of 12, planning to have two separate tables. However, an hour before our dinner, they called us to offer the option of a long table for our group. We truly appreciated this gesture. So we accepted it. Our server, Raymond, was amazing, and the entire team at Mastros was exceptional. The food was excellent; I highly recommend sharing the large steaks, such as the porterhouse or the bone-in ribeye. The seasonal pecan butter cake was the best butter cake I’ve ever tasted—I wish they would have it on their menu all year round! Bryan, the manager, checked on our table to ensure that we were well taken care of, and we had a nice conversation with him. Overall, our experience at Mastros in Thousand Oaks was fantastic, and I highly recommend it.

I ordered dinner for takeout, and while they missed a few items, I spoke to Brian, the manager. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, making sure we were taken care of. His staff is amazing! I truly appreciate everything Brian did for us.

A perfect evening celebrating an 18th birthday. Party of 8. The food was phenomenal. Highly recommend the Chilean Sea Bass, the strip steak (blackened), and yes - the butter cake lives up to the hype! Special shoutout to Felipé who provided impeccable and personable service.

Service was great !!!!! Everyone very attentive and fun !! Our sea food tower was amazing !! I love the lemon and tiny Tabasco Sause !! Drinks were amazing ! So delicious !! Dessert was off the hook ! Macaroni with jalapeño was off the hook. my steak was very bland , it had no flavor nothing . I ordered medium rare .. I don't think I'll order steak here anymore . place is usually super loud you cannot hear your self talk .. tables are so close together ! I really like this spot but it's just always so crowded !!! Thank you to the amazing staff !!

My friend and I came here for drinks and appetizers before going to see a show at the Civic Arts Plaza. She had 2 Dr Feel Good cocktails at $18 each. I had 1 Dream Berry martini for $22 but they give you the martini shaker, so there was enough in there for another cocktail. It was super delicious and a value, since you get 2 drinks for the price of one. I also ordered the appetizer size Caesar salad $9) and bread service ($5). Barely ate the bread but they had a nice selection. My friend got the jumbo crab cake and ate every morsel. Our bill, with 20% tip came to $124. That's for 3 drinks, one crab cake, and one $9 salad. Be prepared to spend some money, as all Mastro's are expensive.

My review in 2018 was five stars. Unfortunately, Mastro's Thousand Oaks has gone downhill. I came in with my two teenagers on Sunday, August 10th, and the service was subpar. The woman serving us was noticeably more attentive to the larger party tables. I had to ask for multiple items more than once. My kids enjoyed their filets, but I was served a side lobster tail that was about 5 inches long, cooked and deshelled. It was charred around the edges. I was charged $125 for what was supposed to be a jumbo 14 oz tail—something the server disclosed would be the price before placing the order. I left a tip of over 20%, but by the time I walked out, I was regretting it.

The meat was amazing - specifically the filet steak. Weird that they charge for a bread basket at such a high level restaurant. Lobster bisque too buttery - should not be drowned in butter. Service seemed a bit overwhelmed as “quote” we are so busy. Many empty tables didn’t seem to be so busy and we came very early. The price service quality relation doesn’t fit.

This Steak House has seen its day. There are plenty of other restaurants now doing a better job at delivering food at this astronomical price. Nothing is locally sourced so food seems to have that frozen residual taste. They now even serve their IceBerg Wedge salad chopped into textureless mush. A steak house tradition that has been spit on.

If live music and snooty people are your thing, at least do yourself a favor and avoid their steaks. I've been twice and both times the steak is charred on the outside and raw in the middle. I've had better steaks at Ihop. You'd think a steakhouse would know when turn down the heat, especially averaging $90 for a "nothing fancy" steaks without sides. Bleh.
