They make a great Pizza! The sauce is very good and their spaghetti according to my daughter has a very authentic Italian flavor you can tell it was made by hand. Great service and very helpful staff!

Great selection of Italian dishes, nice, informal atmosphere, good and attentive service. I have tried, and liked, salmon, mushroom chicken, pizzas, everything always great. And I also recommend espresso cortado.

Been here 5 different times.. Had different pizza each time they were all good.. Its thin crust brick oven pizza.. I also had the salmon salad which was also good...yea i would travel to eat here.

I live in Orange County California but travel to Tijuana for business on a regular basis. When I come I always take advantage of some of the wonderful fine dining restaurants in the city that would just amaze most people who dont know just how good some of the restaurants are here. But no trip is complete if I dont have pizza from Gianluca. I love thin crust pizza and the pizza here is probably...no...it "IS" the best I have ever eaten anywhere. Anywhere. My friends love their lasagna and even, believe it or not, their tomato soup. But me, why fix what isn't broken. I dont get here often enough to say no to that pizza so I cant give my opinion on anything else there. It's not a fancy restaurant like I normally eat at. But as my Chinese friends say, at a fancy restaurant often you are eating the decorations. Translation: You're paying for the fancy decorations. At Gianluca you aren't eating the decorations but my oh my they have good food.

First time eating here but certainly will not be the last. Pizza the way I prefer, thin crust, savory toppings, great salads.

I ordered tagliatelle Bolognese, my Mom ordered caeser salad, my friend got Frutti di mare (spaghetti with seafood), and we got a prosciutto and arugula pizza to go. The waiter was super friendly, super cute (a plus), and spoke flawless English. He gave us great service and had great recommendations for beers and wine to try. I’m not personally into seafood, but my friends pasta dish was beautifully arranged with large clams, fresh mussels and huge prawns. Highly recommend. Edit 2024-02-15: still one of the best Italian places I’ve eaten at outside of Europe.

Wine selection is sufficiently varied and their hone made sangria is most refreshing. A most unique Italian place.

Absolutely delicious, the 4 cheese pizza is scrumptious and by far my favorite pizza in TJ, the Italian chicken was also delicious but a bit too saucy...I like chicken a bit dryer but that's just me. If you decide to eat here definitely go for the pizza

First time on place, Andrea was my server, he is polite and knows about wine culture, needs little couching on serving processes but he is an amaizing nice server, hey Andrea, there is no perfect procedure but just remember never underestimate a chance to exceed the customer expectations. Servers are shy to ask if you doing all right in my opinion , the food is delicious but the cooks need liiiitle expertise counseling on the meat terms levels. I asked for my stake to be medium but it was actually mid rare. No problem Andrea did his part to keep me happy on my first experience on this restaurant. I think over all it deserves the chance for giving the place and their people more experience. Regards

Ok so like my rating of Cafe La Flor, this also seems to have the same issue. The best cook is at their Galerias location and Otay has their second or third best cook. This place really is 5 stars but again at their Galerias location. The food at their Otay location was a 3 star unfortunately. This seems to be common practice in TJ. Or maybe this is just common tactics around the world in general. Send your best cook to the nicer locations. That could be it.

I like this place. The food is good, the service is nice but I think the improvisation of the chef makes me think twice. The soft drinks are honestly bad without any options to choose, 3 or 4 at the most. The pizza is good, the lasagna is good and the pastas but I can't agree with a price of a bottle of water for 30 pesos, it's pricey!

Great food and staff. They usually have someone who speaks English. Indoor and outdoor areas with television inside showing sports, usually foot ball (soccer).

The served pizzas are thin and tasty. The lasagna bolognese is 5/5. Not the same like in İtaly, but still not bad. The used products are much better than the ones in Ceaser’s and other franchise pizza chains.

Red pasta sauce tasted like it came out of can. Salad was drenched in a bland dressing. Pizza was very good.

It was my first time here today and I’m very disappointed in the service. Food was ok, service was bad waitress brought us food and never came back to check on us. After 10 minutes of waiting for her to notice us asked her for hot sauce and lime noticed she went to clean a table before getting me what I had asked. It was clear we were not her priority nor was she busy to blame it on that. We were not happy but decided to give it a chance and ordered dessert it took 2 tries and 10 minute to wait for her to say she didn’t have tiramisu nor another pastry she had offered. Would not recommend coming to this place if you have to wait till waitress checks up on you service horrible. Will not be coming back

Awful service. Hair in the food. Good vegan pizza, the salads are usually good, but this time was awful. I think it's a matter of lucky. If you order to go, they always forgot to give you forks, spoons and napkins. 04/14/2018 Update I gave them other opportunity, I visited Gianluca Plaza Unisur at 1:00 PM and ordered to go 3 salads. I used to order to go 2 - 3 times a week and they used to give you forks with a SALAD, today they forgot to give forks again so I called the restaurant to give them some customer feedback, but the person who answered my call was aufully rude so I asked to talk with the manager and they answered me to call at 8:00 PM when they close because he was "busy". As always awful service I don't think I'm gonna eat at Gianluca any more.
