Friendly staff extremely clean location, I was greeted immediately when I came in the door. I was served in a prompt and timely manner. My food was accurate and hot. The environment was calm and serene.

The manager and wait staff and everybody was absolutely amazing They were polite responsive all around good people nothing to complain about everything was spot-on and better than expected.. The only ugly spot and this whole visit was a loud and obnoxious 6 ft tall woman with black makeup on who is constant complaining about how her life sucks and how she wanted to listen to Rob zombie or she was going to throw a fit in the refrigerator and then when it came time to drop chairs because they are getting ready for the 2:00 a.m. rush she lethargically went over there and slammed every chair down and was destroying everybody in the restaurants experience she was so selfish and careless I told the manager she should be fired on the spot. Besides that everybody in that place is amazing but that girl is terrible and needs to go

Clean, great service and good food

Went for breakfast with my wonderful wife. Seated quickly, menus in hand and a drink order placed in less than 3 minutes from walking in the door. Admittedly, 7am-ish on a Tuesday so not a high demand time period, maybe? Ordered the Lumberjack Slam and the (cringe at name) Eggs Benny...The good news, it was all great. Hot, fresh, eggs cooked to order, arrived quickly, our server was pleasant and available when needed. No complaints at all, 10/10 all the way around. The not so great...well, I guess things are expensive everywhere. I also realize that you/we are paying for much more than just the cost of the food on the plate. But $25 for two for breakfast is up there. Admittedly we took enough leftovers home for one meal for one so you could say it was enough food for 3 if you had shared the plates so that helps the justify the expense.

We moved to Magnolia in April of 2022. Started eating here off and on , now it has become a regular. Food is always great and the service is superb. Jay always takes such great care of us and is so attentive to our needs. Penny has always welcomed us warmly every time she is there and we come to eat! Staff is great… I would suggest this IHOP to anyone.. go try them out.. so worth the drive…

The staff here should have received hazardous duty pay for having to deal with the group of about thirty performers from the Tomball Christmas Market, ten or so of which behaved like unruly elementary school students. I was embarrassed to be a part of this group. The staff was much more patient than I could have been.

Phenomenal service by Tammy! I felt like a valued customer. Jesus loves you. I had the the Slam burger. It was breakfast and lunch in one! Very delicious. I would definitely come here again. You should too!

Had a really good dining experience here with my fiance. We came around noon on a Saturday, so a pretty busy time. The wait time wasn't bad, and it was accurate. As soon as we settled into our booth a lady was there to take our order. Even though we made changes everything was correct, hot and delicious! We sat near the kitchen and could hear the respectful teamwork that went on in the kitchen as well. The building is older and at first I wasn't too sure about the place, because it smelt a little funny in the waiting area but now I know; It's older because it's been in business for so long, because they know their stuff! I will be going back :-) Wish I could remember our waitress' name. She was great.

To be fair, we usually hit up Dennys around 2am after the bar closes. This location is always accommodating and understanding if we are a bit over the top. The service is always fantastic, and the staff is genuinely amazing to our entire group. Even at 2am that Lumberjack Slam is cooked perfectly! You guys are the real MVP!

Ordered Breakfast today. It was delicious. The vegetable omelet was filled with veggies. It is big. Had the pumpkin pancake. No syrup, just plain and Wow you need to try it. It almost tasted like cake. It has just the right amount of spices. Delicious! It was a take out delivery. Sorry no pics. 11/07/23 Took my grand children in for breakfast and they loved their plates. I have pictures for your pleasure. The food was great and had quality time with my loves. 02/02/2024 Had breakfast for dinner from the new menu. Tried the chocolate hushpuppies. They were nice and moist with a crunchy outside, chocolate heaven. The T-bone was tender and the whole meal was so filling; they never fail me. Try the strawberry treat. The best of everything! The food, the service, the people are top-drawer. Jeanie never stopped moving, and never stopped smiling. We started with the chocolate / cinnamon milkshake, and ended with... I can't remember the name, but you can't go wrong with fried balls-of-dough, maple flavor, and a cup of cinnamon-roll icing to dip them in. (Found it!) "Maple Stuffed Donut Holes; with cream-cheese filling". They come as 6 or 10, and are so rich; we could only eat two, each. Next time, I will try the Cookie-Dough Lover's pie (with vanilla ice-cream). And the t-bone steak. It took two of us to eat the Bourbon Chicken Skillet. I added caramelized onions to my meal. This is a simple thing, but requires patience and timing most cooks don't have. They have to be chopped into very small pieces, and cooked until almost translucent, slightly brown, and almost sweet. The cook, Sean, knows how to cook caramelized onions! My thanks for an excellent meal.

I took my family here to celebrate the homecoming of my dearly departed mother. We just wanted something that was a step above fast food and Denny's fit the bill, plus we eat at odd hours. Came in, got to pick our own seat. Hostess was cheerful and friendly. Kids chose the Philly cheese steak omelette, wife got the bourbon chicken platter and I got the ranch burger with turkey bacon substitute. Then people started filling in and the place got busy. Waitress had to walk around and let everyone know that they suddenly got slammed and that the food may be a bit slow coming due to the number of orders. No problem. Food eventually came in, as usual I are everything and the wife and kids brought leftovers home. Overall, I was satisfied that we had a decent meal at a decent price to celebrate the life of my mother. Neither the waitress nor hostess had any idea that's why we were there, but I'm sure they would have offered sympathies had they known. Thank you Denny's. It wasn't the first time I've been to your restaurant and certainly won't be the last!

The service was incredible. The drinks never got low. There was always a refill. I haven't had service like that since before 2020. I wish we hadn't just moved away because that place even though it was on the highway was so muted from the noise outside when we came out we realized there had been an accident on the road and the police, ambulance, fire truck, etc were all there but inside we had no clue, it was so peaceful and impeccable service.

I went to Denny's in Tomball. I love Denny's but they need to train all staff the same way. Many times, I have substituted grits for pancakes. This time , the waitress wouldn't let me. Yet, the waitress at next table let the customer do this

Service is usually great. The Philly cheese steak omelet is delicious. The new French toast dish is good. The bacon and sausage tonight didn't taste fresh tho. Reheated? And the coffee usually has a sour taste which is weird. Sad that they don't serve grits past a certain time of day anymore and confused why not since they serve breakfast 24/7. I love late night grits :(

The service was perfect, and food was good, Dennys always makes great burgers. I would rather have a burger from Dennys, than pretty much any other diner. It would be nice for some of the water stains to be repaired, there are many.

I live in Cypress but drive into Tomball regularly for this Denny's location. It is so much better than the one in Cypress.

Was a nice experience, felt like a visit to one of those places that don't exist anymore. We'll be back, have AARP and if you download the app you get free breakfast during the month of your birthday. The people were warm and friendly and the food was good.

Just wanted to give a major shout-out to Tyler! His service was exceptional – so kind and attentive, especially considering how busy it was at 11 PM. He was the only server for six tables, yet our food came out lightning fast. Really impressive!

The service was great. Our waitress was trying her very best to keep us as happy as she could even though she was very new. The food on the other hand..... it's really gone downhill since last time we were in here. When our plates came out (we had the steak bowl thing) ALL of everything on the plate was cold. Both mine and the Mrs (we had the same plates), and you could really taste that the steaming water was city water in the broccoli... both my boys pancakes were cold and could not melt the butter when it was put on. One of my boys had the spaghetti plate which did come out warm enough to have steam when it first came out, and he devoured it. The sour dough toast was well burnt, which of any bread is not one you want to burn, due to the horrid taste of it when you do. Back to our cold plates... when we mentioned that our plates were cold the waitress took it back and gave the cook a piece of her mind for us.... 2 minutes later the cook sent the EXACT same plates out (I recognized my half eaten piece of broccoli on the side of the plate.), and it was indeed hot.... on the outside... Making it obvious that the fix was a microwave...... it will be a rather long time before we come back unfortunately.

Hostess acted as waitress and made sure to let us know she is "Not your waitress" . Our waitress showed up in time to clear the table. When paying the bill, there was an issue their system does not accept credit and insisted on a pin (no pin attached with my cc).They had no solution for me, the line was backing g up and everyone was staring at me. Wait time was extremely long and it was not busy at all. Server never checked on us in between ordering and dropping off food. Took 35 mins to even get a drink refill while we waited for food. Server kept forgetting to bring straws, condiments and even the bill. Will not be back for a bit to this location.

Manager was standing around on her phone while one server was literally waiting on all the tables. Tables were sticky and the food was not as good as other locations. Our server was great, however the Manager was useless.

The last time she even checked up on us was when we ordered our food. After that we were completely ignored. Neither our server or any others came to our table. There was a group with a larger party than ours that came after us, but they got their food before we did with no sign of ours. It wasn't even during their busiest of times with only 2 tables and 4 booths being filled with that including ours. The service was absolutely terrible. This is NOT how customers should be treated and we will NOT be returning.

I paid $3.00 for a cup of coffee no one offered to refill! Went to the restroom and they cleared my table including my ticket so I had to get the manager to ring me up again. Ordered my son some lunch for pick up. Sad that 2 chicken strips and 2 pieces of bacon were over $6. But I ordered a separate side order of seasoned fries off the regular menu for us to share that was just shy of $5... I was emptying the bag to see if half of them fell out of the container. NOPE! I don't know what happened, but the quality of food has severely gone down in the last few months, especially at night. I no longer recognize anyone that works here, and it's very clear there is some type of management issue going on with the crazy turnover. Every time we get carry out we end up having to drive back because half of our order is missing or wrong. Don't bother paying for extras/substitutes because they will be ignored. I tried to give some of the stray animals some food, but they where smarter than me and didn't eat it. For the first time in my life, eating hash browns made me sad.

My pot roast sandwich was dry and unappetizing, now I’m sitting here a little sick while typing this. Then they made a mistake on ringing the order up and was trying to get the manager to correct it but seemed annoyed to help. To say her hygiene was under par was an understatement. Never again.

August 9th. I went to Dennys for lunch and the hostess sat me at a booth. The place was almost empty. My waitress never took my order or brought me water. She was to busy talking to another waitress in the kitchen. I waited 15 minutes and still no contact with the waitress as she talked with the other girl. I told the girl at the register and left. Horrible service.

I have tried to give this location a try multiple times over the last couple of years and it’s been terrible each time. A couple of years ago, I was told by staff that they were received a new manager, and that the person who took over no longer allowed any substitutions… I mean none. I used to go to this place multiple times a week and after this happening a few times in a row, I pretty much had enough. It would be simple things like, wanting to sub my eggs for something like grits, or swap aside item. And always told them I was willing to pay a substitution charge. They refused. Eventually, I stopped going. Recently, my mom wanted some breakfast, so I gave it a try again. She’s elderly, and was going to order the omelette off of the seniors menu. It states it comes with bacon, but she wanted ham. We asked the waitress if we could do that, and told her we would be willing to pay for the ham. She went and asked, and came back and said that the manager said absolutely no substitutions. You could tell she felt so uncomfortable saying this, because at first she was saying it shouldn’t be a problem, but came back and had to give a different answer because of what she was told. Then one of the men sweeping the floor about two feet away interrupted her and very rudely and said no, that you cannot sub for anything. This blows my mind. I don’t know if any other locations where you can’t swap something out, especially if you’re willing to pay for it. It wasn’t like we were asking to change a piece of toast into a hamburger or something. We just wanted to change the meat that came in the omelette and were willing to pay for it. We told the waitress that we knew it wasn’t her fault, but that we were leaving, walked out and won’t ever be back. There are too many other breakfast options in Tomball to have to deal with how rude they were. And maybe I feel different. If this was a one time thing, which is why when this happened a while back I didn’t go leave a negative review… But I know this has been happening for the last couple of years because it’s why I stopped going previously. Done.

Visited store 2/20/2023 I will never come back to this restaurant again. The employees and manager are getting more rude, and making changes to the menu from time to time as they feel. What I ordered last time, I couldn't order this time. ( instead of regular toast, i wanted french toast, (additional charge, is fine) my granddaughter (age 4) order the Jr grand slam, and wanted pancakes instead of toast. When I told the waiter he brought the Pancakes. The service was awful. The waiter and manager delivered our food to our table sat it down and then looked at us and said "I'm sorry wrong table." They left the tray on our table and delivered the plates, plate by plate to the other table. We waiting 1hour for our food. And only had our drinks filled 1 time. My granddaughter was crying and saying she was hungary, the employees told my granddaughter rudely that her food would be there shortly. Which we were there way before the other table. My granddaughter was sitting with us in the corner booth, which has a square spot with laminate on it. She was sitting on it, causing no problem we were right there with her, and the waiter came over and rudely told her to get down that is a health violation. When I was giving my receipt, I noticed I was charged for the pancakes as extra. I questioned them and said I asked for the pancakes the first time but wasn't brought them. The manager was called over and argued with me and said that I ordered the toast and I did not. So this time she took it off. It isn't my fault the waiter wasn't listening 100%. I also wanted to use my 20% with my husband's trucker key tag from Denny's and was told that they don't except that key tag. I order a curbside order and I waited over 45 mins after I arrived. I called when I arrived the woman in the phone said she was coming out in which she didn’t. I called again the girl came out and looked one way instead of looking another way. I called again telling them I moved spots so they could spot me. You would think they would call me if they didn’t see me. The customer service was horrible and with that I received cold food. Please put up designated curb side parking spots as well as communicate with your customers if it’s an issue.

My daughter and I went to this location on Easter Sunday at approximately 11:30AM. They were busy but not slammed. There were no people waiting and several empty tables, booths and the 1 person sitting at the counter. I actually had to literally get in the hostess face for her to acknowledge us because she didn't and kept staring into space. We asked for a table and she sat us at a booth and when we protested, she just stated that we could just sit anywhere we wanted, so we picked up our menus and silverware and proceeded to a table. My daughter ordered a smoothie and then a milk shake but was told they weren't making smoothies nor milk shakes because they were expecting a heavy crowd and didn't want to be delayed with making smoothies or milk shakes. I asked who the manager was and he was pointed out to me by the waitress. The manager walked around the cooking area, the counter and the waitress area while stood around looking over the restaurant. He never walked over to any table, greeted any guest or approach any table to make contact with any customer. He could have been making smoothies and milk shakes for the day and been useful there. My point is that smoothies and milk shakes are more expensive to purchase with a higher profit margin and they aren't free for refills, so this was a very poor business decision to not offer these products even though they are more money makers, instead I ordered coffee and my daughter ordered a soft drink with free refills. After getting a second refill on our drinks, the waitress finally took our order. The food had a funny tasted to it. The eggs and ham had a dishwasher soap taste to them. I don't if this was coming off the plate or if it was just those 2 items because I wasn't getting the taste off the other items on my plate. Needless to say my overall visit to this location was terrible and I will never return, which I think its a good thing they are closing.

If I can give it zero stars I would. I ordered the beyond burger from here today and this definitely not the beyond burger. Looks nothing like the pictures they show when sharing their new "Vegan burger". Very disappointing 😞

Horrible service. I never go back again. The store is dirty the employees are lazy. I went in on a Saturday morning around 8:30 am my and a buddy of mine. We ordered two breakfast plates. And waited at least 30 minutes and still did not receive our food. We talked to other employees working there. And they where apologetic. But I got to tell you this is the worst Dennys I've ever been to in my life. It will take a miracle for me to ever come back to this location. And I would never recommend nobody to go to that Dennys again.

After the "smoke break", they were hostile and had vulgar rap playing loudly. They served me the end piece... That is a 'ding' AFAIK.

My family & I went to this location a week ago at around 9pm. It wasn’t busy at all. The waitress told us that there was a 5-10 min wait. Mind you there was just 1 family at the time eating. But we waited. While we were waiting the waitress was on her phone, laughing with the cook. They both kept staring at my family and I and kept rolling their eyes. 10 min have passed and another family arrived a different waiter offered them a table right away. I stood up and said “we were here first” he then told me “oh I’m sorry” of course I was mad and told him that how was there a 10 min wait when as soon as that other family came in they got seated fast. He then apologized. As soon as we sat down he told us that the cook was cleaning the grill that it was going to take 20 min (with a smirk on his face). From there I knew it was on purpose. We left. My kiddos were hungry of course I was angry. This is not the first time it happens at this same location. They are Racist!!

I went to Denny's this morning, food and service was great! But as me my husband and one year old where eating we saw the hostess not only not wash its hands after handling money then going to roll silverware but was also EATING WHILE ROLLING THE SILVERWARE!! I told my waitress about it and told her I my self manage a restaurant (magnolia diner) and I don't believe that should be allowed maybe she should ask them to wash their hands or tell a manager and she looked at me like it wasn't a big deal as if it's a normal thing around there.. I'm sorry but am I the only one who thinks that's wrong?

Food is good, portions are getting smaller. Can't believe I paid closer to 40$ for two just to have bacon the size of my finger and waffles no smaller than a CD. If I wanted to spend good money on breakfast, I'd go the The Nook or CC's Cafe down the road. Not coming here for breakfast again.

I came last night and ordered pancakes. And I used a mobile app. And I heard my pancakes were overcooked and moldy. And I choose to stop visiting this location. Because I had overcooked pancakes in my tray and box.

Don't go here unless you are Mexican. White people are apparently no longer welcome and will be ignored. We were just first at the hostess stand and asked how many. We said 2. There were 2-seater booths visibly available and ready for people to be seated. No acknowledgment to us answering her question other than for her to ask the party walked in right after us who asked for a table for 8. So we left once it became a discussion between her and other staff about the party of 8 seating and ignoring us standing right in front of her. This used to be a very decent location, but apparently it now matters what skin color you are if you will have a decent experience. We have never had this problem with other people serving as host. So maybe it is still safe on other dates and times, but avoid this place on Sunday afternoons and dine elsewhere like we will be.

The hostess with short hair and bold/striking lipstick (appears androgynous/masculine-presenting but female) was extremely hostile and aggressive toward both customers and other staff members. She snapped at employees in front of guests, rolled her eyes repeatedly, and made the whole atmosphere tense and uncomfortable right from the moment we walked in.

Food was fantastic however the employee that greets you is far from pleasant terrible attitude towards everyone she encounters maybe should be in the back washing dishes not greeting your customers I will not be back
