Opinions de La Costanza Torino
On the recommendation of friends, I went with my family to Locanda La Costanza. I must say, the welcome was excellent and the food was good. The prices were fair, I'd say. They're currently doing renovations outside, so it's still getting ready, but once you step inside, it feels like another beautiful world. Well done.
I've often visited this restaurant with my family, including both Christmas and today, when I hosted relatives from Milan, and we had a great time, as always. The staff is exquisite: young, very kind, and helpful. The food is very good, and the prices are in line. We also love asking for wine recommendations because, as everyone knows, you're surrounded by very good wine. Today's special mentions were the delicious Tajarin alla Langarola and the venison stew with polenta. Highly recommended.
We stopped by for lunch on December 27, 2025, at the recommendation of a dear friend, in the Pozzo Strada neighborhood... and it was a delightful discovery: Locanda La Costanza! A former bowling alley transformed into a welcoming and well-kept inn, with that authentic atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at home. Valentina welcomed us—gracious, knowledgeable, and always attentive—a welcome that truly makes the difference. We chose meat dishes: pappardelle alla monferrina with Bra sausage and Castelmagno cheese, rich and flavorful, perfectly balanced, and a tender and flavorful venison with polenta. All accompanied by a Marchesi di Barolo Michet, which enhanced every bite. To finish, a delicate and perfect zabaglione, as only those who cook with love can prepare. For lovers of good wine, Sergio's selection is truly remarkable: fine labels, chosen with taste and expertise. Prices are more than fair for the quality offered. A lunch that left us with wonderful memories... and the desire to return. Highly recommended!
The atmosphere is simple and elegant, welcoming and well-kept. They offer a wide selection of wines and a good selection of beers. The food is very good, with excellent value. The staff is truly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place for eating, drinking, and spending a pleasant evening with friends.
Very nice place, perfect for my group. I went with my husband, my children, and a few friends. The Christmas menu was extensive, and everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly, and the woman who looked after us was very welcoming and knowledgeable (I'm gluten intolerant). I'll definitely be back.
Nice place. The food is good. Both meat and seafood. The prices are fair because you can taste the quality and passion in the dishes. The welcome is excellent and the staff are very attentive, despite their young age. Highly recommended!
Beautiful, renovated place. The food and drinks are excellent. They also welcome you with a smile and kindness, which is always a plus. We've been there both for a business lunch (€14) with simple but very tasty dishes, and for a completely different evening, where the story unfolds, the traditional dishes are truly well-crafted. The desserts are also excellent... That hazelnut cake with zabaglione is truly a respite... We'll be back!
The restaurant is welcoming, with a very relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere, ideal for suggesting the perfect time to savor the excellent dishes on offer. The quality of the ingredients used is a choice that, thanks to proper cooking and a careful selection of ingredients, allows you to appreciate the natural freshness of the product.
Excellent food and service in a very cozy atmosphere. The wine selection was also very good.
Very good. Nice place. We are very satisfied
The restaurant inside is really cute, it feels like a cabin. The waitresses are young, charming, friendly, professional, and absolutely available to accommodate your requests. The dishes arrive hot, inviting, and smell amazing. We tried practically the entire menu: excellent appetizers, top-notch chiacchiere, and amazing fried food! Quality first courses, fragrant second courses that melt in your mouth. Excellent wines to choose from. Prompt and fast service Generous dishes A little above average, but definitely worth it!
I went with two people. We ordered a battuta to share, a tagliata each, grilled vegetables, a glass of Barbera, and a bonet. Everything was delicious. We were surprised that on a Saturday night there were no people in a restaurant where the food is so good. The prices are also fair, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. If I really had to nitpick, the meat was a tad too salty, but just a tad, but still very tasty. If I ever pass through Turin again, I'll go back.
We visited this restaurant and had a truly positive experience. The food was good, with well-prepared and tasty dishes. The service was fast and impeccable: the staff was very kind, attentive, and always available. A huge plus is the outdoor space: beautiful, spacious, and well-kept, perfect for a peaceful al fresco lunch or dinner. Recommended!
The atmosphere is intimate and familiar, not too noisy. The lady who served us was friendly and cheerful. The food was good, and the wine list had a decent selection. Dinner cost around €35-40 per person. I highly recommend it.
A pleasant discovery. A warm, comfortable atmosphere with pleasant, yet never-intrusive music that accompanied our lunch. Dishes were meticulously prepared, both in terms of ingredients and presentation. Attentive, discreet service. Good quality wines. A positive experience, with the owner very helpful with his guests. We'll be back.
Dinner on August 16, 2025 Tucked away in the secluded and quiet Pozzo Strada neighborhood, this (former?) bowling alley with an outdoor terrace is characterized by its rustic and pleasantly original ambiance, where pressed wood-chip panels become decorative. The menu includes both meat and seafood. We opted for the meat cuisine: both the pappardelle alla Monferrina and the pappardelle with salami ragù (off-menu) were excellent, tasty, well-seasoned, and al dente, as were the pork ribs cooked at a low temperature, tender and juicy. The warm-hearted pie was delicious. The wine list is quite extensive, with fair prices. Quick and courteous service. The bill is not cheap, but it's adequate for the quality of the dishes. Rating: 8.5
Unfortunately, the atmosphere is cold and unheated. The food is average, and unfortunately, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff isn't the best. The bathroom is inaccessible due to the cold and lack of cleanliness. WARNING: Also, the "killer" step at the entrance is not clearly visible.
I visited this place, drawn by the curiosity of trying a "restaurant" inside a bowling alley. Unfortunately, the experience was profoundly disappointing in every way. First, the atmosphere: despite being in an informal setting like a bowling alley, one would expect at least a modicum of attention to detail, which is lacking. But the real problem is the attitude of the staff and management. There's an air of arrogance and unjustified presumption, with waiters and (I presume) the owners acting with the arrogance of those managing a fine dining establishment, dismissing customers who don't seem to live up to their (nonexistent) ambitions. The menu offers dishes with high-sounding names and elaborate descriptions, suggesting a high-level culinary experience. The reality, unfortunately, is quite different: the quality of the ingredients is mediocre, and the execution of the dishes is, to say the least, sloppy, with questionable pairings and inharmonious flavors. Basically, homemade cooking (and not the best) disguised as "gourmet" without having the slightest bit of skill. The final blow comes with the bill. The prices are exorbitant, completely disproportionate to the quality of the food and service offered. You pay like in a real high-end restaurant, but you receive treatment and a meal worthy of a village festival. In short, if you're looking for a place to eat well or a welcoming atmosphere, stay away. An experience to forget, where the only "starred" aspect is perhaps the stars you see upon leaving, after paying a sky-high bill for terrible service and subpar food. I hope this review helps other diners avoid the same disappointment we did.
