Burgers were really good! 😋 The regular Fries were okay. You need to add the salt yourself. I liked the garlic fries. The peach iced tea was a bit bland for me. But then, maybe, the customers can add sugar if they wanted to. I really enjoyed the burger with grilled mushrooms.

Oh man! Those burgers are bomb! Their menu is unique and delicious. I've had a few of their burgers. They're juicy, big, and filling. Fries are bomb too! The old Torrance one is usually not crowded and a chill space to eat inside and out. Their patio is legit. They're one of my top choices for burgers in LA!

We hadn't had a little moment to get away and visit this spot, the place did not disappoint! It was clean the staff was friendly and fast. We had a little mix up with our order but it was quickly resolved. I wanted to let the staff know that I was on a sneaky date with my HUSBAND , and the people we were hiding evidence from was our children. We are happy to have had our little quick date here. Everything was delicious! I had a regular cheeseburger with fries, my husband had a Santa Monica and we shared buffalo fries. The menu was simple, cant wait to try more! The meat IMO was perfect crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Great job you guys, thank you!

Great burgers and the fries are the best. Just wish the kids working there would remove the masks. She was wearing a hat that covered her eyes, a mask covering her face. Had no idea who was helping me and could barely understand her through the mask. Update 7/2023: Looks like they pulled the masks, all employees were smiling, helpful, and you could understand what they were saying. And, a great burger!

Great burgers & quite clear that the patties are not frozen, unlike some other food establishments. Love the variety of beverages, between soft drinks, yummy shakes and craft beer. In my opinion Old Torrance is a much better setting, than when in North Torrance.

It is so good. Smash burgers that are well seasoned and buns toasted to perfection. We just moved here and it is going to be a regular stop from now on! (We got the beers which is why it is more expensive, their cider is great!)

Our family has been coming for well over a decade. The burgers are juicy and messy, and the taste is beefy. My favorite is the Maui burger, with pineapple and bacon!! Might be the best in the South Bay! The fries are ok, not my favorite. The chicken tenders are excellent!

Hands down the best burger place I have ever been to. We go all the time since we live down the street, and it's absolutely delicious every single time. The burgers and the chicken are both super fresh and always satisfying, the fries as well. And their fresh lemonade is always really good, too. Plus, their employees are always so nice, especially Devon he is hilarious and so amazing with our son! He always makes him laugh whenever we see him. It's just an all-around amazing burger place!

It is not often that I deviate from In N Out Burger when it's around, but I do like to explore what is out there. While waiting for car service I stumbled on Burger City Grill, and WOW! The LA Double burger was like a meatier Double-Double with and amazing texture on the meat and satisfyingly different textures and temperatures on the bun and onions. Speaking of temperature, the burger was "burn my face off hot" which is the way I like it. This was an amazing find and I highly recommend it for In N Out fans! Expect to pay a lot more though.

This place is exceptional for both the food and customer service! I love the simplicity of the menu which is structured similarly to IN-N-OUT. They even have a delicious burger called the “LA double” which resembles animal style. Their fries, onion rings and ranch are also fantastic! A huge reason why this place is so popular is due to their cashier De”VON. He is such a positive vibe and makes every interaction extremely personal. He goes above and beyond the standard customer service expectations and really makes a personal connection with every customer through humor and friendliness. He’s also extremely patient and calm despite the rush this place gets.

I used to eat at Burger City Grill when it was at PCH - until it changed to Fantastic restaurant. BCG rivals the taste of my favorite burger chain restaurants: In-n-Out, Shake Shack, The Habit, Super Duper Burgers, Five Guys, and Smashburgers. The difference is that the beef at BCG is so flavorful without being too greasy. The buns are also perfectly soft. It compliments the taste of the burger. Other burger joints may have great tasting beef patties but forgettable buns. Not so with BCG. The beef and buns are a perfect match in quality, texture, and taste. I'm so glad BCG is still around and making incrediblely delicious burgers the old-fashioned way with product being first - instead of succumbing to accountants and financial advisors who tend to prioritize minimizing costs and maximizing profits.

Wow ...I am pleasantly surprised! My food was so good! I got the lunch box with the spicy tenders and with avocado $3 and bacon $4 added to the burger with cheddar cheese. Really good! Pricy! Crying! Jk!! But not joking! The ranch dressing was delicious and the portion of the container was perfect size! I would say the only downfall is how pricy the additional items are and the fact that they didn't have any type of hot sauce?! No tapatío, no Tabasco?? They did however give me plenty of pickled jalapenos! Thanks for a yummy meal! Expensive but worth it!

First time here. The food is amazing. I got the shroomer, which is a grilled mushroom and onion cheese burger. The fries are also great and they were served hot and fresh. I came a couple more times here and got the same Shroomer because it is so good. I should probably try other burgers. 😆 The portions are kinda big so I don't always finish the fries.

They were clearly putting in effort to keep everything well-stocked and cleaned around the restaurant while we ate. Just a seemingly quality place with great people. Now, for the FOOD. My girlfriend and I were blown away. I got the LA Double and she got the Santa Monica. FORGET IN-N-OUT. We got exactly what we wanted for our moods. Mine was perfectly greasy and absolutely delicious, which I was in need of. Her Santa Monica was somehow refreshing without being heavy. I loved both burgers, but my girlfriend would argue that the fries are what really shined. Just a great, unexpected experience that we hope others take time to enjoy as well. Not many places you can enjoy a range of burgers done to perfection, get service with a smile, and enjoy a clean aesthetic. Absolutely worth your time!

Food was tasty & fresh, you can tell they use fresh ingredients as advertised. Ordered the lunch box deal, burger/fries/2 chicken strips. Would Would have given them a 5 star if it weren't for the slaw situation. I asked for slaw for my burger but was charged $3 for a side order of slaw which turned out to be a condiment sized cup with a vinegary 3 bites of slaw. Plus my burger patty was thinner than expected despite the smashed thing. But I got the lunch box deal, so... and I would order it again though. No slaw or the spicy seasoning on top. Can't beat less than $15 for a fresh meal that filled me up and hit the spot.

Not sure what happened buy the quanity of food has diminished greatly. The burger meat in half the weight and the tenders are also smaller. I'm only posting this cause I don't eat out at burger joints, but once trying while at New job, because they only other place to eat lunch nearby was closed. I fell in love with the food. But after revisiting with relatives I was disappointed. Because of the potion size my guest finished their food in like 8 to 10 mins

Decent burger but the fries and onion rings really tasted "from frozen". My order was take out so maybe the fried stuff would have tasted better if I ate at the restaurant.

Burgers were good. Onion rings were awesome! But there's a high pitched sound coming from the kitchen that customers don't need to hear. It was piercing and made our ears ring. Could be a sound to let the kitchen know an order was just placed? But this place is way too small for it to be that loud.

Ok my first time to this place. Food awesome, little expensive but worth it. Only one detail; I got the lunch box because looks so delicious and tempting but I add avocado and cheese to the burger, but no onions so it was almost 15 dollars, but money no problem if is good. Guess what no avocado no cheese and with onions. What disappointed, I was going to check the food but I didn't wanna open the box in front of the employee. First time trying this place, semi impressed. Burger lack flavor, not fulfilling and fries they gave me were stale. For the price, probably could have gone somewhere better. Is not a bad spot, just not for me. Still recommend this restaurant 👌

Food: We ordered a cheeseburger, crispy chicken sandwich, and garlic fries. The cheeseburger is your standard fare. Seasoning is good. No option for type of cheese as given in other BCG franchises. The crispy chicken sandwich had a good seasoning but it really wasn't crispy at all. The chef did a good job of costing it but all the breading was non existent. Basically, it was a grilled chicken masquerading as crispy chicken. Poor execution of cooking this sandwich. Would not recommend. They can learn a thing or two for crispy chicken sandwiches from Chik Fil A or the local Korean chicken places. I was excited about the garlic fries (they have a hefty premium of $4 more than regular fries). My goodness. There was no garlic taste to these fries. In fact, the oil it was fried in had the majority of the taste. The chefs could check out Red Robin garlic fries and see how much garlic is actually put in. Also, the fries weren't as crispy when served. They became mushy in about 10 minutes. Definitely do not recommend. Bathroom: one of two bathrooms were out of commission. The bathroom in commission had a working urinal and toilet. The sink was a whole another story. There is a bucket located beneath the sink to catch water as it drains through the pipes. The problem is that it splashes anything directly below when traveling through the pipe. Other than that, bathroom was clean but had not been maintenances in a while (evident by all the paper towels just lying all over the floor). I've been to other BCGs and haven't seen one quite as bad managed as this. If it stays this way, this BCG will be on its way out five years from now. If you have a craving for burgers, try out other local places such as Local Kitchen or even another BCG.

The food is good, their pricing and service are ridiculous. $50 for 3 burgers, 2 fries, and 3 drinks but when I ask for ranch dressing they wanted to charge me $.83 each. Then made me wait in line to pay for it. Terrible service.

Very disappointed, I used to go to the one in Lomita until it was taken over by fantastics, now i believe this location has done the same, the burger was dripping with grease, the meat tasted old, the fries are soggy, the burger size is smaller than i just had a couple months back, it doesnt even taste the same as before. I wish i had pictures to compare but back then i was too eager not to wait to eat some good food and now; well i took a few greasy bites, felt sick and threw everything away.

A little background of its establishment: BCG was established in 2008 by co-owners Abe & Themios with a local following that led to a 2nd location off Artesian Blvd. & Yukon Ave. (coincidentally taken over by Eat Fantastic). I frequented with my family often that I was their Duchess; leading up to their closure, I wasn't happy with the food or service, taking away the Coke Freestyle Machines didn't do any favors, though it was more broken than usable (refer to Review #106). Fast forward to this Old Town location, the staff is welcoming & friendly. My order was ready faster than I'm able to drive a couple of miles even though I arrived on time. It's a smaller space with limited parking & probably enough spaces to fill the dining room capacity if you carpool. There's 3 large communal dining tables, 6 bench/booth tables with an outdoor patio, but not sure if you want to sit out with the constant traffic whizzing by (cough, cough). By substituting the fries with zucchini fries & adding an order of fries, I saved a buck. I had a couple bites of both before I headed back to the office. The zucchini fries were good, but I had better; they were warm, somewhat crisp, but soggier than expected. The fries were lukewarm & also ok; didn't have the crisp, golden brown like back in its heyday. It was a short drive, but my burger was barely warm. It was cooked a medium well than medium, & the bun was mashed & soggy from lettuce, tomato, bbq sauce &/or spread; the lettuce was wilted & old, not fresh & crisp. I also paid an extra $3 for avocado & it wasn't on my burger. Taste seems similar, but BCG Old Town missed the mark, nothing like its former glory (see 09/27/14)... sigh. This newer menu is slightly condensed (no Brunch Burger, Yorker, or Mamba Burger, Waffle Chips, Sloppy or Poutine Fries, Ice-Cream Burger) with less added/paid topping options like fried egg, grilled jalapeño, house-made chili, pastrami; price points are moderate & in-line with other fast-casual burger joints. I ordered what I remembered most/best & it didn't register any fond foodie memories. What I don't get is their upcharge for garlic fries at $9 vs. $4 fries; a sprinkle of garlic is not worth the value of a fries order, nor justifiable. Yikes! ＼(｀0´)／ It should be $5 or $6 at most. Friendly, attentive service, but the menu execution needs work. And without a Coke Freestyle, not sure if I can entice my family to Burger City Grill. Recommended: Dine-in for City Slicker (might taste better & you can return the burger if you're missing paid add-ons), Fries, & Zucchini Fries; hoping eating onsite will be a better meal.

This spot is still a hot dumpster fire website says they’ve been open since October google has no number or hours. According to the door it’s 10 to 10 everyday. This locations is apparently still trying to train staff they don’t offer many of the standard burgers at the other local BCG restaurants. Def won’t be coming back here for a long while since it’s probably gonna take them some time to figure everything out maybe next year they’ll have it together… very disappointed management should be able to submit more info on restaurant and update website as well as google listings

Burgers are just OK. Very pricey. Grilled onions diced so fine you can hardly taste. Person constructing burger had band-aid on finger with no gloves. Not good. Turns out she was the manager. That's lame. For the price get a triple triple at In and Out

They locked their doors at 1:30pm and stated they ran out of burger patties. I didn’t know there was a burger patty shortage. How does a burger place run out of patties at 1:30pm. You’re open until 8pm. Whoever is managing the place should be fired.

This location does not offer any of the deals they have online. $3 beers after 5pm, Kid’s meal 1/2 on mondays, they don’t even have kid’s meals. When I asked the cashier she just rudely said, “We don’t do that here!” It’s advertised online with their location on their site. Also their cheese fries made with their “cheese sauce” was horrible.

Disappointed tonight BCG. Love this place. My family of 7 love the food and especially their delicious shakes. Tonight I took my family for dinner and I’m so sad I had to give it 1 star for customer service. I ordered my family their meals and shakes. The young lady at the register stated there were no shakes. Yet the customer after me only ordered shakes and he did receive them. I asked her “why 5 minutes ago you said you didn’t have shakes?” She said “there was a long line and i had to go to the back to get more supplies” She then said “would you like shakes, I can make them now” I had already ordered and paid for food and soft drinks for my kids. There was no way I was going to pay for soft drinks AND shakes. I told her “I have to wait for my food so I would have no problem waiting for shakes” She didn’t say anything after that. Very disappointed in the customer service tonight. The shakes are one of the main reasons we go there. Sorry BCG.

Went to a favorite for burgers, stood at the register the girl looked up and said what do you want?,do you need a receipt?, I said I would like to order, she pointed to the condiment area, I repeated I haven't ordered yet. She pointed to the other register (where the was nobody at) another girl came to take my order. I asked for a Maui burger by its self and a Maui combo. I ran my card and redeemed my $7 rewards and left a tip. They called my name for someone else's order. I told them what my order was a day waited my name was called again got to the table my wife looked at her burger and noticed it had no pineapple or bacon, I returned and told her it was not correct I said you can just add the ingredients to that burger and it would be fine, went back to my seat and waited she returned to the table and said I needed to pay $5 more to correct the burger. I said I should not have to pay more for their mistake. She dug in and said that was the only solution. I said that is not how you fix your mistakes. I then pulled out $5 and said I would like to see the manager she stated she wasn't available, I said I will give you the $5 in exchange for the manager business card they told me they couldn't disclose that information. I then told them I want all my money back and would visit the store the next day. So the staff obviously are not good with math. They choose to throw away over $28 of food instead of throwing a slice of pineapple and two pieces of bacon on the original burger, and lose a regular customer ,Brilliant, Maybe it's new math. I will miss the great food. I went to Habit Burger and had great food and service.

After a year of not going, we decided to visit yesterday. I was disappointed by the taste of the meat. It had a bad after taste. The burgers seemed greasier. I miss the quality of their meat.

Asked an employee if this is normal and was told yes and that if I want it less greasy next time I should order well done. After receiving the advice on how to receive “a burger meant for humans” for “next time”(aka never) I took the remaining half of grease burger to a trash can and threw it away. Fries were mediocre too. Not enough Cajun seasoning and the fries felt stale but were somehow hot inside. Based on my experience I am appalled that people willingly come here.

Unfortunetly I can help much with recommending this place. My short experience was not a good one. I showed up at 1010 to enjoy a burger. There used to be a Burger City Grill in Downey. Had great experiences there. I went to open the door and it was still locked. The guy inside didn't bother to say anything just pointed to the patio door...wish was also locked. I took it as he didn't care for the business's customers so I took my business to Jack in the Box. Wasn't very happy. He could have taken the time to say "sorry we are running late" and i would have gone away in a good mood. Never going back again. I hope the opening staff isnt always that rude and uncaring.
