Excellent hot chocolate, a variety of croissants, and some homemade cakes for breakfast, in a charming setting overlooking a lovely portico with outdoor seating in the center of Torre Pellice. They've weathered the Covid crisis with savvy and helpfulness, and are now also opening for lunch.

Excellent food and a strategic, relaxing location. Toast with crusty, homemade bread, soft and tasty piadinas, and mini pizzas filled with melted cheese. The interior is calm and tidy, cool in the summer and warm in the winter. A 6-star place.

The "Tris" is a kind of plate of the day that consists of pasta, meat and vegetables. The meat (veal in my case) was particularly nice. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere, especially when sitting on the big terrace in front.

We sat down around 12 for a light aperitif, but we had to call the staff to take our order (even though it wasn't that crowded). They also serve lunch, but we haven't tried it, but it looks good. Otherwise, it's average for bars in the area.

Non sono stato trattato bene da un cammeriere, di solito per esperienza queste cose succedono quando è da più volte che vai specialmente in questi piccoli paesi, non mi hanno servito le cose desidera…

Spritz con 11 cubetti di ghiaccio, ribadisco: 11 enormi pezzi di ghiaccio in un bicchiere di acqua minerale. Confido non sia la prassi ma la superficialità di un barista...

La mia esperienza recente al Bar Londra di Torre Pellice è stata piuttosto contrastante. Da un lato il locale è gradevole, curato e accogliente dal punto di vista estetico; inoltre i prodotti sono validi: caffè e cappuccino risultano buoni e, aspetto non secondario, hanno prezzi leggermente più bassi rispetto alla media. Proprio per questo il giudizio complessivo lascia ancora più amaro in bocca. Negli ultimi tempi, infatti, l’unica nota davvero positiva sul piano umano è rappresentata dalla persona che gestisce la cassa, un uomo gentile, sorridente e disponibile, che trasmette un minimo di attenzione verso il cliente. Per quanto riguarda il resto del personale, invece, la percezione è di una certa freddezza e distacco: assenza di sorrisi, nessun gesto di cortesia, nessuna forma di empatia. Le espressioni appaiono spesso tese o infastidite, come se la presenza dei clienti fosse un fastidio più che parte del lavoro. Non si tratta di errori gravi o di comportamenti esplicitamente scorretti, ma di un atteggiamento generale poco accogliente e, a mio avviso, poco professionale per un locale aperto al pubblico. È un vero peccato, perché con prodotti validi, prezzi competitivi e un ambiente piacevole, basterebbe davvero poco in più sul piano dell’attenzione e del rapporto umano per rendere l’esperienza molto migliore. Così com’è, purtroppo, resta la sensazione di un potenziale sprecato.

Croissant sbattuto sul tavolo prima dei caffè. Niente a che vedere con un croissant: molliccio pastoso tipo supermercato. Niente acqua con i caffè. Nemmeno tolta dal tavolo la tazza della consumazione precedente. Spariti gli ottimi tramezzini di un tempo.

We ordered coffee, cappuccino, and a latte macchiato. We received two cappuccinos and a latte macchiato! My wife has always been lactose-free. We pointed out the mistake to the waiter, who asked us how many sugar packets we ordered. We asked for four plus a sugar cube. He gave us a dirty look, as if sugar were gold. I pointed out the mistake in the order. He replied that he had understood correctly. So, I politely asked him to bring a coffee instead of a cappuccino. He brought the coffee and took the cappuccino away. When it was time to pay, he loudly called out, challenging me, saying "a coffee, two cappuccinos," and a latte macchiato. I replied that for a couple of euros, he lost a customer, but above all, for them, the customer is "never" right. My family and I have to spend 30 days in this place. We will definitely never stop at this place again. It's beautiful, but it's run by incompetent and self-righteous people.
