I have always had great service here. I usually sit at the bar, and the bartender is always friendly with fast service. Food has always been good and hot. Never any complaints. Great for a late night happy hour since I eat late all the time.

Due to the pandemic, indoor dining was prohibited causing everyone to either eat outside or get it to go. The wait for a table was about 1 1/2 hours but glad I have a smart phone and ordered ahead for pickup. South Lake Tahoe is already busy in the weekend and adding the pandemic made it seem extremely busy.

I thought I just came in to another Applebee’s until we were greeted by Lia who made us feel so welcome with her Tahoe vibes and I had a wonderful time and delicious food with my friends, cheers!

Outside dining only because of covid which turned out great because the weather was nice. They have heaters at each table but the heater at ours only really worked if you were standing up. They tried at least lol. Food was great, had the whiskey burger, blue moon beer on tap, side salad instead of fries and the blondie ice cream with apples for desert. Every restaurant has basically the same side salad but theirs was different and had more toppings than usual which was awesome. Service was wonderful. Atmosphere was perfect for what they could offer right now. Worth the stop for sure! Walking distance to just about anything. We walked from our hotel right around the corner. There's a raleys across the street if you need anything close by.

First and far most I'm big on hospitaly and costumer service and hands down Anna my waitress was fantastic I had a problem with my food and she took care of it no questions asked and even gave us a discount and also brought her manager Ryan to fulfill the order and gave us a chocolate over loaf cake that was delicious. My husband and I visited Applebee’s for dinner. We enjoyed the fabulous Asian salad and barbecue ribs on their 2 for$25 combo dinner. This meal comes with a choice of appetizers. We chose the deep fried onions rings which were the best we have ever had. Fearing that we might need more. We also ordered the grilled chicken combo. The grilled chicken with mashed potatoes were excellent. Great dinner!

Applebee's South Lake Tahoe. I got the Oriental Chicken Salad. Tasted like fresh bagged coleslaw 🤔. The chicken was breaded cut into chunck (chicken tendars) . The Dressing was bottled. Its was a 20$ lunch that i could of bought for 6$. Shoulda coulda. Maybe fresh cut the coleslaw next time, insteadof bagged? Offer baked chicken instead of the chicken tender crap and a better dressing! The fried pickles were sliced and was over the top salty. Never had sliced & didn't like it. Second time at (A) Applebee's don't see myself going back anytime soon. Plus took over 40 minutes for a table of five to get food that wasn't a difficult order plus it wasn't even packed. This was my second time ever at Applebee's. My first time at Lassen Volcanic was so bad I swore to never go there again. But I decided to give it another try and it was awesome, this Applebee's redeemed my previous experience, service was great and steak was very good and inexpensive. Their cook really loves cooking and you can feel it

Great location, food, and pricing in beautiful South Lake Tahoe area. On our way from Sacramento, CA to Reno, NV; the wife and I stopped in to grab a bite. The service from the moment we entered the front door until we paid our check was exceptional. The food was great. Nice selection of food in menu at great pricing. Really nice Happy Hour menu and drinks as well (future visit planned just for Happy Hour). We will be returning here and enjoying another great meal or two and great service.

A couple of weeks ago we went to visit Lake Tahoe, and we decided to eat at this restaurant. The warm welcome surprised us, the food was delicious and exactly as we ordered it, and I want to highlight the work our waitress Lia did. The service she offered us exceeded all our expectations. We didn’t feel like going far for dinner so we decided on a familiar place, Applebee’s. I had the 4 cheese honey chicken Mac and cheese and it was delicious. The chicken fingers were pretty small but I really enjoyed the flavor mix of honey, cheese and the crunchy chicken. The highlight of the night however was our waitress Lakaysa. She was on top of her game, very cheerful with a nice smile. Business was brisk so she was really moving around making sure everyone was satisfied. Overall excellent dining experience, good food and a wonderful waitress. Definitely recommend.

This was lovely! We had the 2 for $27 deal, so you could choose an appetiser and then 2 entrées. There were a few you could upgrade and pay more for, but we were happy with the basic ones. We got the spinach and artichoke dip to start and oh my goodness it exceeded every expectation I had! It was super cheesy and delicious, the tortilla chips were warm to go with the dip too which was really good. The main was a big portion so brace yourself! You can pay at the table using a self-service machine too which makes things easier.

While. Visiting South Lake Tahoe we decided to eat at Applebee's. We ordered 3 ayce riblets, shrimp, and chicken tenders. Very good food and service. The wait staff was very attentive. Enjoyed eating in the outside patio counting all of the ebikers, cyclists, and people on scooters. There was even a woman riding an etrike. I highly recommend this restaurant...Thumbs up! P.S. It is dog friendly. A huge plus.

This is hands down our favorite spot at Lake Tahoe — no exaggeration, we come here every single day whenever we’re in town. The service is always amazing, with such a warm and welcoming team. The food is consistently delicious — their Chicken Caesar Salad is one of the best we’ve ever had. And their cocktails, like the Perfect Patron Margarita and Emerald Sky Margarita, are simply incredible — definitely my go-to favorites. The whole atmosphere is super cozy and full of Tahoe charm, with beautiful wooden decor and a giant bear at the entrance that makes it feel even more special. We’re also truly thankful that dogs are welcome — it means so much to us to be able to bring our miniature poodle, Chanel, who’s a part of our family. She absolutely loved it too, haha! We genuinely highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tahoe. You’ll fall in love with it just like we did.

Food was like every other meal that I've had apple bee's. It's a place where you go to fuel up with average folks and watch whatever sport is on. Can't say I found something about my experience memorable, besides it was snowing outside. But be warn the steak at snow Tahoe can go for 35 dollars. A hefty price for a 6 oz steak. But I went for a cheaper price meal that cost around 13 dollars.

I was surprised by how good the food was. the mashed potatoes were excellent. when we went on Tuesday, it wasn't as good with the food honestly. we ordered the shrimp and chicken and the salmon. the portions were quite small. the sides on the chicken and shrimp were good, but the chicken was overcooked, dry, and a bit burnt. the shrimp was good though. if our second experience was more like the first, it would've been 5 stars. the service was good both times, the servers were all sweet and attentive, but unfortunately the food was inconsistent.

We stayed at nearby hotel and I was sick during our vacation, so we decided to do online order at Applebee since all the restaurant was super busy. We ordered 2 for $25 menu and a bowl of soup. My husband picked up at the restaurant after getting a text - around 30-40 mins after ordering since it was a busy night. - Boneless wings: the boneless wings was just okay. They weren't crispy but the meat was tender. - Riblets plate: the riblets were not good! They were more like ribs nugget that were molded into ribs. The meat itself tasted a bit weird (salty & sweet). The french fries that came with it were crispy & not overly salty. - Grilled oriental chicken salad: my husband said it was good. The veggie tasted fresh and the grilled chicken was good perfectly. The dressing was creamy with a hint of sweetness. - Chicken tortilla soup: it was ok. The shredded chicken pieces were decent amount but the soup was too salty for me. It was an okay take out if you are at a busy dinner time and just want to enjoy inside the hotel room.

Disappointed with the food and service we received tonight on our online order. The salad we got wasn't the Tuscan Garden salad (see pic). Also no dressing was included in the bag when we unpacked our food. In addition, the chicken in the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp was extremely overcooked and dry. In the restaurant, while picking up the order, I asked for ketchup to go. The waiter brings 2 packages...when I and the lady who rung up my order asked for him to bring out more, he ignored us and walked away. The kind lady apologized, walked into the kitchen and brought out a handful of ketchup pkgs. Reached out the Area Director later that evening and received a prompt callback from the restaurant manager apologizing for the mess up and service not received from the rude waiter and was informed entire food bill had been refunded. 1 star for the food and service. 2 stars for the prompt reply and order refund.

Stopped at the Applebee's in South Lake Tahoe for dinner while in the area for the night. We have been there several times, and have always had a good experience. We were seated quickly in an area that was on the backside of the bar. Server was friendly, bringing us our waters while we looked at the menu. We had the 2/$27 boneless wings with the Grilled Cheese Cheeseburgers. The wings were good, they always are, but the grilled cheeseburgers were something I wouldn't order again. I thought the burger and the tomato soup that came with it both needed to be hotter, like they had set before being brought out. Our server did bring us water refills and finally the check as we did not see her alot, but then we did see her behind the bar as we left, so we were unsure if she was a bartender, working as a server, or a server, working as the bartender that night. What annoyed us, was who we thought to be another server, visiting with the table behind us the entire time there, even sitting down with the table between taking drink and food orders, only for them, and bringing the orders back. She knew the people at the table, it seemed to be her only table, as she seemed to talk nonstop to them our entire time there, as our server seemed to have the other tables in our section. Thought it to be rude and distracting to others in that section, and pretty unprofessional, even on a slow Tuesday night.

It was our first time at Applebee’s, and we were really curious to try it. The first impression was good, but our server seemed a bit uninterested. When the food arrived, my steak — which I ordered medium — was completely overcooked, dry, and barely edible. I had to ask three times before anyone came to check on us. Eventually, the manager came over — she was very friendly and helpful. About 10 minutes later, I got a new steak, which was actually very good. A few minutes after that, the waiter apologized, but it felt more like he was told to do it. There was no discount or any kind of compensation offered. The other dishes weren’t that great either. Overall, we didn’t really enjoy it and wouldn’t go back.

We came in for lunch after a lake day! We got seated and we were sitting for about 15 minutes and no one even came to attend us. We were in a area where it was only us and a ways down another family. Is was not busy. We went to ask if there was someone who could attend to us as we have been passed by and not helped for now 20 minutes. The waitress came out really snotty as it was a inconvenience to serve us. We ordered our meals and 2 meals came out and the other we had to wait a extended amount of time for. Just was a very unpleasant experience and they could care less about us or customer service.

We went into the restaurant while it was snowing. There was one person at the bar with no bartender one person dining with food. No waitress, no one at the Front to check you in. My husband had to walk to the kitchen where they were wrapping up silverware to ask to get Service. We ordered our food, when it arrived, The buns on my husband‘s burger were burnt black, and my food looked nothing like the photo. It had five tiny shrimp instead of a pile and the chicken was very salty. No one came back to check on us after the food was served. My husband had to walk his plate back to the kitchen to ask for new buns, they didn’t offer to take his whole plate. They said sure we’ll bring you some new ones. By the time they brought the new buns, his meal was cold. The experience there was terrible. It was so bad, the second Manager we spoke to about the issues we had, they ended up adjusting off some of our bill. We even heard one of the Manager’s talking about us in Spanish to the assistant manager. They didn’t know we spoke Spanish and understood every word they said. We did take out and we were very disappointed with the order. When we arrived home, they provided no dressing for the salad after they asked which one's we'd like. The pasta broke apart and couldn't wind on the tines. We ended up throwing away our meal and ate only the mozzarella cheese sticks.

Bartender service was fine but she said ‘the only thing’ they don’t have is draft beer and that they haven’t been able to fix their taps for a while. No draft beer? Really? This is Denny's but with pricey-er food. Lol. Yes, the wings came to our table looking like this 🤯 Our server was nice but not attentive. The wings were way too salty so I asked to return them. When I explained this to the server, she dismissed me and said, "Oh, you just didn't like them." I did not appreciate not being listened to. They were so salty that they were difficult to eat! Ribs were also salty but tolerable, taste was alright. Wouldn't order them again.

I think we visited during a bad night, because service was rough. Our server was nice, but she seemed incredibly overworked. 100% not enough staff here in general. It was noticeable during arrival, seating and getting our order taken, but the mood really shifted negatively for us when our server quite literally disappeared for just over 14 minutes. We were sitting outside, and most tables were full so she was already busy, but suddenly she was nowhere to be seen for almost 15 minutes. I could see into the place, and before she was walking around bringing out orders, seating other people, etc, but all of a sudden she was a ghost. I even heard the other tables around us questioning where she went. Unfortunately, this happened exactly as we were ready to go, and we were already waiting for about 10 minutes for her to come to our table so we could ask for the bill. She was quite busy for those 10 minutes so we were okay with waiting. But after those 10 minutes, and then her disappearing for another 15... after 25 minutes we were extremely frustrated, because we had other places we were committed to being and now we were late. We left our table and went straight to the front to ask for our bill. The front seating desk worker was a bit startled and confused by that, but understood after we explained why we were asking. After waiting another 5 minutes at the front, the server came and she was clearly overwhelmed. I suspect that she was either outside taking a break, or just needed time to herself for a bit because she was being overworked. Clearly the place was understaffed from the beginning of our visit, and she was likely stressed to the max. So yes, I blame the server a bit for disappearing without a word, but I also blame this location for not having enough staff available to work. I understand that people call in sick, but it was obvious that there could have easily been 4-5 more servers on staff. Lake Tahoe is one of my favorite destinations to visit, and I've visited multiple times in the last few years, but as for food I will not be revisiting this location and will choose other options in the future.

The server was Thalia, she said she has only been there 4 months, I really hope you don’t get her, the service was HORRIBLE, the food was mediocre. When we were ordering, she was having a very hard time with the substitutions (they were not super complicated, something like shrimp on the side) when she finally finished the order, she forgot a couple people in my party and then she said to us “you should’ve told me” she never repeated the order to us. First of all one of the kiddos meals got to us at the end even though you should always make sure that the kids are eating before the adults, the food came out before the drinks and when we asked for refills on our chips, she literally brought them out at the end of our time there we asked for Tabasco it came towards the end. We never got drink refills, and when we asked her towards the end of our time there, if she can separate the checks, even though she did ask us at the beginning and we said no she claimed that there was no way of doing that even though we asked the bartender and she said there was a way of doing that and when she heard us asking the bartender, she’s like if you have a problem, ask the manager he’s right here oh, and by the way, the manager never came to see us even though we were a party of 17, all the other servers were wearing AirPods the whole time. They just really looked like we were a burden to them. My cousin’s food was so gross he threw up after, they did comp it, but it was just really really bad also one of my kiddos wanted more strawberries and when my niece asked for an order of yogurt and strawberries minus the yogurt and she told her “thats ridiculous its 4 slices of strawberries” why would she care we are paying for them. Mind you the restaurant was not busy at all. It was 8:10 PM by the time we left. I really hope I can get contacted with corporate or somebody that can actually make me feel like I’m appreciated and my money is well spent there.

The restaurant is in very good spot, but the problem is the service I was waiting only for drinks more than one hour my little ones fall asleep on the table very bad experience because it’s was my brother Birthday.

Worst food I have ever had in my 5 years in California. The rib (look at the photo, you call that rib?) is extremely thin, full of bones, and cold. And adding three dollars only get that small cup of coleslaw? Ridiculous. The rest of food are all below the average of frozen foods you can buy at any grocery store. The rib is below my anticipation of the worst rib I can imagine.

My family and I came in today after walking away from base camp pizza. I'm with a party of 7 with a baby. It's hot, we walk all the way here. I walk in holding my nephew and the front of house staff is just staring at us. One kid with curly hair is twirling a fork and says to us "what do you want?" had we not walked all the way from base camp pizza because they had a one hour wait we would have left. I've been in the restaurant business for 15 years and I would have fired the kids you have hosting. Outrageous. Do not walk from this place RUN. Also its Applebee's so the food is pretty mid to start so 4 stars and atmosphere is taking a hit because it's 80 degrees in this restaurant.

I had the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich. It was terrible. There was no flavor or fusion of the ingredients. I had to ask for lettuce and spread for my sandwich. It was very bad. Our server took our order and served it. Otherwise we didn’t see him again until it was time to pay. Do go here.

Sat for half an hour while they completely ignored me and my kids so we walked out without having to order and put up with the terrible food.

Ribs seemed to be last month’s cook. So dry. Service was good. The link they send you is garbage and doesn’t work. Save your money and don’t eat here.

It was our 2nd and last visit of this Applebee's location. We ordered 2 dishes. When We received our order by person in pink shirt one of them was overcooked, and the 2nd was looking & tasting like it was made an hour ago. We asked the server to bring 2nd dish freshly made, but after a couple of minutes, we received the same dish but mixed with the same old chicken, pasta, and bread. If you continue to treat your customers this way and deceive them, you will simply lose your reputation and customers.

I got the chicken sandwich and the batter was raw. The mashed potatoes was also bland. Service was mid, and I thought the guy was a little rude. Never coming back here.

There was hair in a pasta dish. We also had another plate with a steak that was asked to be cooked well done and they brought it back 3 different times still very pink. The entire night was just awful from the food to the service. 0/10 stars. Will not go again.

Had a very bad experience. They were short on staff, so had to wait for a long time to be seated. Although the waitress was helpful, the food was all really bad and felt like old stuffs. Raw broccoli was served to us, the chips tasted like very old stock, the chicken wings were dry and cold. The only saviour was the mozzarella sticks and the pretzels.

We were a party of 6 that was put into a booth that should only fit 4. No place to put coats or even attempt to take off your coat in the tight quarters. The server was brief and unengaging. Seemed we were a bother before we even ordered. No help with menu descriptions. Once the food finally came out it was very subpar. Looked nothing like the description was missing ingredients. Again the server was not interested in helping with our issues. Seemed more hassle than it was worth to put up a fuss at this point. Drinks were over priced and these were the non alcoholic beverages. I know this isn't fine dining, but getting the food that I ordered isn't asking much. It was our daughter's birthday and she wanted Applebee's. Was an overall disappointmenting experience. Won't being returning.

Don't bother going in if your hungry. Was greeted at door promptly and seated. Only positive, while waiting for server, read emails, figured out what I wanted, played 2 games on my phone, ordered door dash to my hotel. Food from door dash was on its way when I got up and walked out. Not what I was craving but I drive overnight so I needed dinner and a nap, service everywhere now a days sucks everywhere

Absolutely horrible! All I had was chips and salsa and they couldn't get that right! You know its a no go when the chips are so oily that your hands are greasy from one chip. And they have the nerve to charge ridiculous prices for that mess! Don't go there, you'd be better off starving than to go there! Plus it took an hour to get the chips! SMH

Let's start from beginning to end... Sit down at the smallest booth ever, waitress doesn't introduce herself but starts with "what are you drinking?" Okay, no problem.... Order an appetizer (honey BBQ boneless wings), receive buffalo wings so send them back... Order a burger, waitress asks "pink or no pink?" I say "I'd like it medium rare" to which I'm told, with an attitude, "we don't do that, so pink or no pink?" I tell her "I'd like medium rare so I guess a little pink" receive a well done burger... ask for a manager, tell her what happened, she confirms they only do pink or no pink.... takes the burger to have a new one made.... Get new burger- it's rare, super rare.... no seasoning, there's absolutely no flavor to this whiskey burger!!!! Manager took $15 off the bill but when I got home I was immediately sick, (WARNNIG THE NEXT PART ISN'T FOR WEAK STOMACHS) 17 minutes straight on the toilet with diarrhea followed by 6 trips to the bathroom throughout the night and 24 hours later I'm still feeling a bit 'blah' I will NEVER return to this location and I do not suggest anyone else do either.

I had a very disappointing experience here. I waited a long time for my order, and when it finally arrived, the steak was the smallest I’ve ever been served in my life — definitely not worth the price, and the taste was nothing special. On top of that, the broccoli that was listed with the steak in the menu was missing. The server was polite, but when I asked if a certain beer was good (I don’t remember the name), he simply replied, “I don’t know, I don’t drink.” Overall, it was a very poor experience. I will never come back.
