Wonderful new Sushi Restaurant in New WIndsor! I’ve eaten in multiple times and done take out multiple times as well. Each time the service is impeccable and friendly and the food exceptional! Prices are modest and affordable. Access is easy, the decor is fabulous, many food options for everyone’s palette. Definitely worth the trip, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Great place! !!! Don’t base on the bad reviews I went to try it with my family and it was great. It was on a busy day but the servers made everything posible to accommodate us to have a good time. Good service and really fresh sushi and delicious beef bulgoki.

It is 2 hours away from where I live, but I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was great, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was commendable. I am definitely visiting again when I'm in town. The owner even came over to see if we were enjoying everything. I definitely recommend

I was a bit skeptical and not expecting much out of this place, but I was certainly proven wrong. This place was fantastic in every way. First of all when I walked in I was impressed with how beautiful the place was and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. Then the food from the appetizers, to the meal, and even the chocolate martini I ordered were a dream. It almost felt like an explosion of flavors in my mouth with every single bite. I highly recommend this place for the ambiance, the food, drinks, and the awesome service from the staff. Certainly a place that makes you feel welcome and comfortable like going to visit family.

The food far surpassed my expectations. The decor is lovely, light and cheerful. The sushi I picked was amazing and the serving was ample. I tasted someone else's salmon dish and was blown away. I am so excited to have a top notch restaurant in the area. The prices are a little higher than I usually spend, but worth every penny. Will definitely return soon. Oh and the wine was good.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! The place was immaculate, the service was top-notch, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They took the time to guide us through the process, explaining everything clearly since it was our first time trying Korean food. I'm not going to lie to you. I thought this was just going to be a cheesy dine-in Asian restaurant. It was stunning on the inside. We had cocktails which were delicious. A sushi and a dumpling appetizer, both excellent. And we had two entrees which were also excellent. The whole meal with tip was around $100 for two people. Not a cheap night out but a great time. They also have Korean barbecue tables for things are cooked right at your table for four. Can't wait to go back with our friends!

Really nice addition to the area. Pleasantly surprised by the variety of dishes available along with the quality of the food. Wait staff was very friendly and accommodating of special requests. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning. Exactly what this area needs more of, restaurants that pride in their appearance and the quality of the food served!

Variety of Japanese and Korean food to choose from. Caveat you have to choose two main dishes if you want your food cook hibachi style but this is not a big deal. The food is delicious. I won’t give service a 5 star because our server only checked us once:) overall, this place is my go to for Japanese and Korean food. Recommend!!!

My wife and myself have been here multiple times for the Special Sushi rolls, which are amazing. They have really delicious options. However, what made me write this review was the Korean BBQ we had today. We had the Galbi and the Samgyeopsal. I would totally recommend these two. Plus, the service from Jorge was amazing. Explained to us the plates and how to eat them, the sauce recommendation were on point. Great food and service overall. 10/10

Came here for lunch. Food was delicious. Spicy tuna roll was great, and I'm not a big sushi guy. We didn't have a chance to sit at the Korean BBQ tables, but we will be back for sure to try that!

Been missing more upscale sushi. Nice to finally find it. Definitely going back to try the Korean bbq. I will say they had some soft opening bumbling (not enough menus, weirdly terrible napkins, “out of that kind of sake”). But since it’s during their soft opening and I really enjoyed my food I’ll stick with 5 stars. We will definitely be back.

I have been wanting to try this place since they opened and finally made it there today. I got sushi to go and YUM! Super fresh and flavorful. Love the decor and the staff member at the front desk was so sweet too. Will definitely be back to try more things!

What a great addition to the neighborhood! Went on a Tuesday and was promptly served by the attentive wait staff. We ordered the sashimi appetizer and the bulgogi and galbi BBQ. I also inquired about any soju cocktails which were not listed on the menu but the bartender created a special soju caipirinha which was bright & tart. The rice for the sashimi fell apart easily which probably means they didn’t cool it enough before adding the vinegar etc., but the fish was quite fresh. The neighboring patrons who ordered the sushi/sashimi seemed to enjoy their dishes - so I’ll definitely go back to try more of those dishes. As for the BBQ, it came with a steamed egg (jjim) and corned cheese -both of which were quite delicious and complimentary (FREE!) they were out of the chadolbagi but I definitely recommend the bulgogi over the galbi, which was more like a marinated sirloin rather then the traditional Korean cut. The side dishes or banchan were fresh, namely the kimchi (which is how I judge the overall quality of a Korean restaurant). I’ve heard mixed reviews but the service for us was fantastic. Very friendly, attentive and prompt. I like to grill my own BBQ but the initial efforts from our waiter was much appreciated and a proxy for the overall attentiveness. The ambience was beautiful, modern, warming and transported me outside of New Windsor. Overall, I am quite pleased by my dinner and want to encourage you the reader to support local and to step outside your comfort zone to try something different! 😀

Fortuitous find, from out of state, we were stuck and stumbled upon this fine Korean establishment. Superb food, comfortable surrounds and hospital hosts were to be found here in a strip mall, nonetheless. We were elated to eat here as I’ve spent time in Korea and food and service paralleled their customs. Can’t rave enough about freshness, promptness, and flavor served here! Hands down best sushi I have ever had. We shared a beef appetizer (cannot remember the name but it was beef wrapped scallions) and four rolls, these are the spider roll, sunrise roll, Phoenix roll, and swan lake roll. Absolutely amazing! Huge portions for a very reasonable price. I will definitely be back and have already recommended it to people. Also, the bathroom is the cleanest and prettiest bathroom I’ve ever seen in a restaurant!

I've been missing out. Tried this place for the first and I was blown away. I ordered the sweet potato roll, vegetable dumplings and the chicken fried rice. Everything was good lol. I will going back to explore more of the menu. If you haven't been here yet, you should definitely give it a try.

Very great service. My water was kept filled throughout my dinner, the seafood teriyaki was amazing, the sushi wasn’t the best but other than that everything was great. I got the scooby snack drink and it was 10/10. Also very cute in there

We were here for their "soft opening" weekend and had an amazing time. We had been waiting months for Joa Joa to open and now that it has, we know what took so long...what a jem! This is a very classy place hidden in a strip mall plaza. When you're here it feels like you could just as easily be in mid-town Manhattan! The service was awesome and the ambiance great. There were only the two of us so we didn't order that many dishes, but everything we ordered was fresh, hot and tasty! We're very much looking forward to going back in a few weeks when they have their full menu.

Bought the 12” tray to go. Amazing quality sushi for a great price!! Plenty of food for two (still had a roll left over and hadn’t eaten lunch really) or maybe even three people, as it was 7 rolls (4 classic and 3 special) . Highly recommend! 😋

I went to this place on 12/4/25 for the first time,and I must say the dish that I had (salmon,scallops,shrimp and red snapper boil) was the best tasting dish I ever had in a very long time.The food was amazing.The waitress was very nice and I highly reccomend this place.You will not be disappointed!!!!

Incredible authentic Korean bbq and great sushi. They are still in their soft opening phase so they'll have more items on their menu later. We went on a packed Sunday night. There was a wait - totally understandable since they're just starting. They gave us two additional dishes for free as thanks for our patience. We didn't expect it and it was kind of them to offer us the free steamed egg and cheese corn. They cut their meat in house. The cut of meat is very good. We also got the sushi which is also stellar. Unfortunately, they sold out of their galbi by the time we sat for dinner but the bulgolgi and samgyeopsal were great! The interior is also very nice. It's very high end/classy, so it makes a great date spot. And the bbq atmosphere is great for family and friends. Even their bathrooms are gorgeous. So happy to have a local Korean bbq so I don't have to travel to NJ or NYC anymore. Highly recommended! You won't be disappointed.

Cannot say enough good things about this place! My husband and I found this by chance and have made it our regular destination for a good meal. Joa Joa is such a hidden gem you could walk right by this place and think it’s just some other Asian restaurant however, when walking in you felt that the immediate experience with the stylish interior design, very modern and clean and also extensive tables with Korean BBQ grills was just an incredible experience. We ordered the bigolgi and Bimbi bop the flavors of which were very developed. Service was excellent with the server always keeping our water full and attending to our needs. At the end of the meal, the owner even came by at the end of the dinner to ask how things were to give us a after dinner treat. It really was a great experience. Can’t wait to come back.

I had an absolutely incredible dining experience at this Korean restaurant! From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. I started with the mandoo, which were perfectly steamed and packed with flavor. Each bite was a delightful burst of savory goodness! The double fried tofu was another highlight; it was crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside, making it an irresistible treat. The chicken curry was rich and aromatic, with just the right amount of spice that left me wanting more. The cheesy katsu was a unique twist on a classic, with gooey cheese melting beautifully around tender chicken, and it paired perfectly with the nice sauce. The japchae was a standout dish as well, with the sweet potato noodles cooked to perfection and tossed with vibrant vegetables, creating a delightful mix of textures and flavors. To top off this amazing meal, I indulged in the vanilla ice cream tempura, which was a heavenly combination of warm, crispy batter surrounding cold, creamy ice cream. The chocolate cake was the perfect ending—rich, moist, and utterly indulgent. Overall, every dish was a masterpiece, and the service was exceptional. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! This was such an incredible place where every dish was better than the one before and nothing went untouched. The shrimp tempura was light and the perfect texture with amazing depth. The beef teriyaki bites were so flavorful and convinced us to order a teriyaki dish for our mains as well. The gyoza was incredible as well. Onto the mains, the spicy chicken was the best dish of the night with a mix of spice, vegetables, marinade, and other flavors. The beef came second while the members of my party claimed that the fried rice was the best that they have ever had. On top of the amazing food, the service was so friendly and welcoming. We will be back to try more and try again.

For a strip mall restaurant…this is a gem! Relaxing atmosphere and friendly service. Food was great with large portions, only complaint was the hot tea we ordered was a bit cold but other than that we enjoyed our time and will go again.

Forgot to include pictures of the KBBQ! Server made us food right on our table. Everything we ate was delicious. They also gave us complementary cheesy corn and the staff were very nice. We went for a late lunch on a weekday so it was quiet inside, but lovely. I was the vegetarian of the group and had some things that looked good. My Dobu Tofu had a sauce similar to katsu sauce, which was great because I used to really love chicken katsu when I was omnivorous.

Our first time here at Joa Joa and it did not disappoint. Service was on point and timely. Usually, I am not a fan of cooking at the table only because of past experiences. But Joa Joa has put some thought into this. With larger cooking surfaces and a much more effective exhaust hoods, it makes for a much more enjoyable experience. I will be visiting again, and you should too.

We had a really great and filling dinner at Joa Joa. It’s a hidden gem in the area we were not expecting! The service was very welcoming and they were accommodating for a large party without reservations. We ordered the apps of seafood pancake, steamed clams and spicy tuna ball - all really great for sharing. Also had the Korean bbq - LA Galbi and Pork Belly, both enjoyable and cooked table top by the staff - came with rice and Korean banchan (small side dishes - kimchi, seaweed salad, and potato salad, melted cheesy corn and egg pancake). My favorite was the Seolleongtang (beef bone broth noodle soup) - really savory and hit the spot! Atmosphere was modern, spacious and clean. Prices were a little higher than expected but understandable given it’s the only Korean bbq in the vicinity. Would highly recommend and would go back!

I’m giving this a five star review because they have clearly put so much effort into this restaurant and everyone we interacted with was so nice and clearly really wants their guests to have an amazing experience. They’re super new, I believe it has only been open for two weeks. The menu is the “soft open” version, promising more dishes to be released soon. We came here for Korean food and are really looking forward to more Korean options hopefully coming to the full menu soon! We started with Sushi B, a mix of 8 pieces of sushi and a roll. It was all high quality and really good. Next we got two portions of galbi. It was good but I do think they need to train the staff a bit more on how to grill bbq. The lettuce to wrap it in was mostly just romaine stems, I’d definitely have preferred more leafy greens and possibly more than just romaine. I also would have wanted ssamjang and other dips you’d expect at K-BBQ, especially when you’re paying this price. The side dishes were good but a lot of potato dishes, I would have loved more variety. They brought us kimchi pancake as a side to try out and it was great! I’ll definitely order it next time. All in all, we did not leave disappointed and I’m excited to see what they do with the menu as they continue to expand.

Really enjoyed our meal. Kids got sushi and I got tonkatsu. I did have one criticism. The tables in the booths are too short like by 3 inches on both sides.

I have very mixed feelings about this place. It's beautiful inside and a good atmosphere. The server was kind, but service was extremely slow especially for it being my lunch break...(35 minutes to receive food) and my son had to ask for water many times before receiving it. Also, my son is allergic to avocado and we ordered the Angry Roll which has no avocado, but it came out with avocado on the roll. I'm happy I noticed before he ate some. Also, they put all the rolls on one boat and asked us if it was ok after bringing it to our table. With that said, I enjoyed my food... chicken tempura roll, k.c. roll and miso soup. Once corrected, the angry roll was the favorite of all. My other son had chicken teriyaki and thought it was dry and did not eat much of it. I don't know if I'll return to dine in due to the service being so slow and there was only one other couple there at the time. Makes no sense to me especially with how fast the remade roll came out. I'll definitely order the angry roll again, but for takeout though. **UPDATE March 2025** I've tried it again after a few ppl told me it was really good. Their onion soup slays... It's so good! The rolls are delicious and the service is great. What a turnaround! I've been here 2 times since and yes, my opinion has definitely changed!!

I’ve gotten taken out twice in the last two months. Both times the food was wonderfully fresh and delicious. I’m looking forward to bringing my business back to this very yummy sushi spot… would have gotten five stars, but the second takeout order two items were missing. I can imagine they are very busy and we should have checked our order before leaving the parking lot. Didn’t matter because the rolls were amazing!

Very pricey. The food was good. Sushi is fresh and made properly. The Korean BBQ, was good, I feel you need more room to do it correctly. We can't frequent every week but will definitely go back for a special occasion.

Service was great and very friendly. The food was very good. The sides were fairly limited for KBBQ but what we did get was delicious. Slightly odd experience since they cook your food for you at the table rather than traditional KBBQ that you cook yourself. Doesn’t allow you to cook meats to different temperatures based on preferences of the table. Also limited the ability to talk and socialize with your table mates as the waiter is with you for a significant portion of time. I would definitely eat there again but would like have them just cook the food in the back.

Very clean. Nice restaurant inside and very friendly staff. We went for lunch and the restaurant was not busy. We ordered 2 meals, the Bulgoki and Samgyeopsal meals, on the grill table. The Bulgoki was very good. The waiter assisted in cooking and was a pleasure to talk to. The second dish was also good, but the 2 pieces of pork were 80 percent fat. Barely any meat to eat for the high price. The side dishes were tasty, and the corn was delicious. They offer a lot of sauces. It was very expensive for what we received at the grill table. The other customers had sushi, and it looked great and worth the price. I would return for sushi and smaller dishes. I would not do the grill ever again. It's just too high of a price for the return. No complaints on staff or the restaurant.

Pretty good tasting but a bit expensive. Wish instead of making the rolls so large with each slice they’d make them thinner and longer. Hard to eat them in one bite. Will say it was all delicious though. Bulgogi is $28.

I'm adventurous - I like to try new things, especially exotic cuisines. This has resulted in some pretty exciting discoveries, including my newfound love of Korean dishes and specialties. Jjajangmyeon, Tteokbokki, Bibimbap and Japchae - I love it all. So imagine my delight when my wife told me that a Korean/Japanese fusion opened up near her in New Windsor. I knew we had to go, and so we did. The interior is gorgeous - lots of wood, natural 'neutral' tones, and delicate lighting. The bar looked stunning, and the sushi counter is immaculate. There are plain tables and then 'special' tables, where guests can essentially experience the magic that is Korean BBQ. We took a seat and scoured over the menu - which is a mix of mostly simple dishes, such as fried rice, noodles, sushi and tempura, with a small but tasty offering of more traditional Korean faire. We started with Gyoza - which my wife likes. I would have ordered the Mandoo, traditional Korean dumplings usually filled with pork, kimchi and vermicelli rice noodles and spices, but we kept it simple. Then we ordered two sushi rolls, an octopus roll and a sweet potato roll. For our mains, she ordered the cheesy tonkatsu (which I've never seen on a menu before here stateside... we'll get back to this later), and I ordered the Japchae. The gyoza were good. Juicy, nicely seasoned. A good start. The sushi, however, was a bit of a let down. My biggest sushi peeve is unseasoned rice. And you guessed it, the rice desperately needed seasoning. Negative points. Onto the mains - the Japchae was excellent. Good flavor, a little spicy, chewy texture and slick with just the right amount of spicy oil. But the star of the day was that cheesy tonkatsu. This was worth the price of admission. Cheesy, ooey, gooey. The gravy sauce it was marinated in was sinfully good. I could have eaten two helpings. It was superb. Where the restaurant lacks is the service. Our waiter wasn't particularly very observant to our needs - several times we tried flagging her down and several times she biffed us off. Disappointing. Filled our water glass once, and that was all the water we got. Fortunately I had a water bottle with me, but it was particularly distressful that she was so aloof. A second waiter came around and brought out our mains and cleared our appetizer plates. She asked if we needed anything and my wife asked for a fork. That was the last we saw of her. We ended up stealing a fork off the neighboring table. All in all, the food and atmosphere are excellent, and I'd go back just for those - but the service was lackluster, and frustrating. I will go back, and hopefully will have a better service experience. If the service is still lousy, that could be a 'make-or-brake' moment for me for a third future visit. Only time will tell.

I was really excited to give this place a try. We went on a Friday night and it was packed! Definitely make a reservation if you want to go on the weekend. We ordered from the sushi menu but I would love to try the Korean BBQ next time, it looked delicious and authentic. The sushi was excellent and you could tell they use high quality ingredients. Shopping nearby I decided to try this fairly new spot. Dimly lit, spacious. nice looking. Full bar service from what I could see. Ordered 4 rolls to go she told me 20 minutes and it took about 45. If it doesn't say avocado on the classic roll menu you have to ask for it( ex: eel roll ). I thought eel avocado, tuna avocado etc. was normal typical roll. I guess not here. Rolls were ok ( ill include pic of rolls ordered) best to me was eel . Some of avocado was black, rotting (and no wasn't soy or eel sauce ) worst roll was Phoenix they mash the fish up to a paste like substance ..ehhh No please No. I couldn't stand it!. On menu some rolls inform you the fish is mashed ("chopped") up & I avoided those, Phoenix isnt described that way, yet they made it that way. I'd give another shot for a sit down , grill table experience. *sigh* STILL ON QUEST FOR BEST SUSHI IN OR NEAR ORANGE COUNTY NY!!!

The sushi was just fair. The presentation is great and everything is extremely fresh however there was a very strong vinegar taste in the rice and the pieces of fish in the maki rolls were so tiny you could barely see them. I was quite disappointed.

Was super excited to finally go to this sushi restaurant after reading some reviews. We usually drive 40 minutes away to get sushi, so having this so close to home was even more exciting. The atmosphere is pleasing and they definitely put money into making it clean, comfortable with a modern edge. Bathrooms are clean and nicely equipped with modern features and real papertowels! Then it went downhill. Placed an appetizer order of beef negemaki , main dish of sushi and sashimi for 1, and 2 special rolls. Had some green hot tea while we waited that tasted like instant coffee crystal. Strange. Recieved dinner before the appetizer. Had asked for no spicy mayo on the main roll. It came with mayo on it. Waitress took the whole boat of sushi back as well. So one of us ate while the other waited for a replacement. Thankfully the appetizer showed up. The miso soup was a taste that was 'different' from what I've ever had before. The rolls and sushi/sashimi were ok, but not the quality or cuts we are used to. The pricing I'd be ok with if the quality was good. To spend over $90 and end up coming home and hungry 2 hrs later is not a good thing. I've seriously had better lunch (and taste) getting some Wednesday special sushi rolls from Shoprite. I'm not sure if I'd give them another try or just take the 40 minute ride for an excellent non disappointing dinner.

I’m giving 3 stars, clarifying that the food is excellent; the Joa Joa roll is one of my favorites. However, the service when dining in is extremely slow. We had a reservation for 8:00 p.m. on Valentine’s Day and didn’t leave until 10:30 p.m. I understand that this day is particularly busy, but this is the third time we’ve visited, and the wait time is always long. We usually prefer to order for takeout because it’s much faster, but for Valentine’s Day, we decided to give dining in another chance. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a good experience. We were among the last tables to receive our food, and I felt rushed to eat so they could free up the table. They also forgot the soy sauce, and we had to ask another table for it. Although the flower detail was nice, we didn’t receive one, I assume because we were among the last to be served. It’s worth mentioning that we weren’t the last ones to arrive; there were people who came after us, and they left before we were served. I don’t understand how they received their food before us. We’ll probably continue ordering takeout, but I think this will be our last time dining in at the restaurant. I believe they need to have more staff. Thank you.

Food was okay..Bulgogi isn't worth $28..should be no more than $20. .overall their prices should be lowered on certain items or they will continue to remain empty as they were today! For 5 pieces of gyoza This is New Windsor not Manhattan. If they don't make price adjustments soon they will go out of business!

Food, service, and atmosphere is great however each time I go in i see areas of concern such as housekeeping. When you sit there is a layer of dust/ build up on the slats that accompanies you for the visit. The seats are sticky sometimes.

2 stars for the service - 4 for the food received Went on a Thursday night because the Cornwall FB reviews were good. I’m not sure who our primary server was. We had two different people take our orders. The runner did not speak much English. He was not of Asian decent. It was another language. He asked me if I wanted a refill of soda. He brought me the wrong soda. Despite ordering three of the same salad we got three variations of it. One had carrots, one had cucumber and one had both. When the entrees were brought my wife and daughter received theirs. I was told my sushi would be out in five minutes. Strange but ok. I know they are new. Ten minutes went by and still I had no food. After 20 minutes my family finished their entrees. I was told two more minutes. I just decided to have my food taken off the bill. Before I requested this I was told it would only be two more minutes. My wife said the chicken teriyaki was pretty good. I tasted it and agreed. My daughter had two sushi rolls. The rolls are massive. A light eater will do fine with one roll. A heavy eater will be full with two rolls. My daughter said her shrimp tempura roll was really good and her California roll was decent. I’ll wait to see more reviews before going back. It’s hard to pay a $56 bill without having dinner.

Unfortunately this was a disappointment. Friendly restaurant but not organized and often seem confused on dealing with customers. Had Korean BBQ but felt the portions of the main dish was very small portions compared to the pricing on their menu, the sides lacked any substance or flavor. Perhaps the sushi is much better experience.

We tried this restaurant last Friday night, early around 5ish...we won't be returning. The decor and atmosphere is very charming and unusual. But that's the best part. We sat at the bar, which was not crowded. The bartender was somewhat slow, but pleasant. We ordered two drinks with Tito's vodka. We immediately noticed the drinks tasted odd...Tito's fans know that this vodka has a unique flavor. Mine was a martini, so no, there was no mixer to change the taste. A second round of the same drinks yielded the same result. The taste was not bad, just not like Tito's. My partner and I both watched the bartender pour from the Tito's bottle, but we swear it was not Tito's. Almost immediately after sitting down, a server kept coming up to us asking if we wanted to order food. Every 5 minutes this server returned, same question. We judge he came up to us about 7 times. We realized that if you sit at the bar to eat, the bartender serves you drinks, but not food...that is done via a separate person. Odd. However, when we finally did order, it took quite a long time to get our food. Still, the place was not super busy. The food was the biggest disappointment. My partner had three sushi rolls. The sushi was warm, and the rolls contained far more rice than we've had elsewhere. I had the Bi Bim Bap. This dish was NOT hot like it is supposed to be, the bowl was not even full, and it was mostly rice. The selected protein was tuna, and it was a skimpy portion. The tuna was sliced so thinly, I initially thought they mistakenly gave me chicken. Cost for two drinks apiece and two entrees: $150 with tip. We would not recommend this place. Like others, we note that the sushi at QQ down the road is much tastier, not overloaded with rice, and prepared faster.

Kitchen always takes forever… how does raw sushi take 40 minutes in an empty restaurant

Just a warning, they do not disclose any allergies that maybe in the food you order. Their fried rice is actually cooked in a high-allergen oil and if I gave some to my son, he could have died. Their staff also did not bring me the correct order and it took them like an hour just to correct it. Their food is on the expensive side and their portions and taste do not equal what you pay. Even the kids platters are way over-priced. They also gave my vegan family shrimp. I only gave 2 stars because their wine is good and reasonably priced.

place used to be our go to. We used to spend hundreds here every month. My husband and I just wanted a simple salad with avocado. They now charge us eighteen dollars for two salads that don't even have a full avocado between the two of them. They said it's always been that way which is an absolute lie. Never gonna put my money in this place. We already did things like ignore dirty tables sit in chairs that are half broken and use a restroom where the water won't shut off....

Ordered take out tonight from Joa Joa. Sushi sucked ! Price Chopper, Shoprite & Hannaford all have higher quality sushi ! Coconut shrimp - don't waste your $ & There was absolutely nothing Curry about the Curry Chicken - Sh$#@y grilled chicken, potatoes & rice ! Awful !!

Where do I begin. - We were first brought sushi and had to ask for soy sauce. - We were seated in the back of the building and our overhead fan did not work properly. - They did not clean the burner, the second they turned it on it was smoking in everyone's face at the table (remember, our fan did not work properly), from the previous guest's food until that had burnt off. - They left the overhead fan on after the burner was off and we were getting the noxious air from every other table combined while we waited 15 minutes for the check. - They were out of Bulgogi beef. As a KBBQ restaurant. - The tables simply do not accompany four people and their food items in a traditional style. It is so overcrowded the meat was placed by the waiter on the (luckily) empty table next to us. In summary, it is great to see a KBBQ place in the area and I hope they will improve with time. If you are wanting to introduce your family to KBBQ I would warn against this place as it made me look like a complete fool and my family members will likely never try the style again as it was their first experience. I would not go back even for a free meal.

So atmosphere is crazy brand new over the top, but man the food needs a lot of work... The sushi was way below par for the price for a sushi restaurant not a great sign... The fact they were doing KBBQ was a 2nd red flag for a place advertising sushi. I tend to judge the KBBQ by just the banchan and the meat 2nd. and man the Kimchi and the seaweed salad tasted like they came from costco and those were the only banchan the table received. With 6 guys we spent about $300. We were all got hungry an hour an ordered mcdonalds.... I would try again but maybe when they are fully open when they get their menu straight. Like It's the only kbbq place around the area and would like to visit more often but if that was experience was the quality I would experience every time I would drive the hour and a half just to get my kbbq fix.

BEWARE WHEN YOU PATRONIZE THIS PLACE!! K-Pot across the bridge brand new Korean BBq and Hotpot just opened up and have better quality of the meat for whole lot less what this place charged! Staff is very slow , always wanted to try this new place and its a nice addition to the area , i got Sweetheart Roll and Phoenix Roll , the rice on the roll was 3/4 cooked so there were some tough tiny bit when you tried to chew the roll. Waited almost an hour just to have dinner and also it was slow night most of the staff was busy with their own phone , saw a cockroach behind the seat cushion eventhough the inside is very nice and new who would have thought there were roaches running around QQ across the street have better sushi to be honest and faster service , try at your own risk , thank me later Go to KPOT in Wappinger if you want truly Korean bbq experience and Hotpot all You can eat

food was good but presentation was weird. despite having a traditional KBBQ table, they just have one of their servers come over and cook the food in front of you all at once. by my definition that is not Korean BBQ. if to you define Korean barbecue by cooking your own food, do not go to this restaurant.

Im writing as I sit here in the restaurant. The food was nothing special. Could go the rest of my life without eating and will not miss it. Service is terrible. I spent more time waiting for the food than actually eating. The paid no attention me maybe because i pulled up alone. Second time coming here and it is soooo mid. I asked for a to go plate for my cheesecake the lady literally dropped it on the table. Not coming back. I had to ask for them to bring me a drink menu and some rice which already came with what i ordered. Id rather drive all the way to the city than come back here. Not worth it at all.

I ordered a dinner that was called the seafood pot. They told me there was no lobster tail. And they would substitute something for that. Some kind of fish when the meal finally came to the table. There was no clams, no muscles, nothing that they advertised in the menu was in the plate. It was a pot of fish soup. Worst thing I've ever eaten in my life. They should've told me they didn't have the ingredients to pick something else. The plate was $52. When they took 16 off, money is not the object. If you order something if they don't have the ingredients, just tell me.I will order something else on my own.For this.I will never go back to you again.

It's gone horribly downhill. Our tea was powered, the wasabi was horseradish, our salad was drowning in this disgusting, gritty dressing, and our sashimi arrived still frozen solid. No quality in sight, gas station food at ridiculous prices. You want some edible sushi? Go to ShopRite. At least they have real ingredients and fresh fish Edit: we did not get hot tea. We got iced black tea, not matcha, please be so for real. The sushi was frozen solid to the point where we couldn't bite it, which means you either got it in pre-packaged and sliced or you de-frost it, slice it, and freeze it AGAIN. The washabi tasted like it was nothing BUT horseradish (gritty, no powdered wasabi, no mustard) so you didn't shake whatever tube you got it from enough. I don't need a lecture just because you missed the point. If you knew the salad was wrong, don't send it out. Please go condescend to someone else, you should be embarrassed. Your saving grace is clearly your cooked food, lean on that instead of arguing with customers.

It's sad that the atmosphere here is way better than the food could hope to be. The quality of the sushi was way below par for the price, let alone the size and shape of the cuts were clearly not done by a seasoned sushi chef. You're honestly better off going to the all you can eat not far from here for the same quality. The service was a whole other story, servers didn't even know their own menu, we ordered the yukgaejang and the waitress kept mistaking it for chicken teriyaki. I watched another table not even get there menus after they sat down, they had to get up and grab some themselves. After possibly an honest mistake, I don't really buy into excuses, we had to wait almost 40min for my wife's meal to come out and it was still wrong because they gave use the bone broth and not the spicy broth. Granted we were not charged for that meal, but overall the experience was not pleasant nor was the food. The banchan that came with the yukgaejang was probably some of the worst I've ever had from a Korean establishment. Overall I have no interest coming back here. The bbq looked decent, but even then I'd rather go to a real Korean bbq joint.
