Anita is one of the grannies of the valley. One of the more solar people in an often closed valley she is warm, and smiling. The food here is the absolute best of the old school piemontese kitchen with as many ingredients from the valley as possible. The menu always consists of 3 to 4 first dishes with red or white wine and then a choice between different meats, then a dish of local cheeses and then coffee and a choice between 3 classic dolce. The portions are abundant and served on plates for everyone to share. And you can choose to have a little of everything if you are the curious type. The price at the time of this review is 10€ Very cheap for the amounts and variety of food. The setting is humble and always full of locals and over the years we have been to Anita many times bringing friends from many countries who have all been amazed by the food and this hidden gem of a restaurant.

If you want a very simple lunch, this is the place. We waited three minutes for risotto, polenta concia, and chestnut soup. You be the judge of whether it's feasible without pre-cooked food. The puree from the carbonada sachets was good, cooked, but not in the wine. There was a lot left. Breadsticks were loose on the table, not packaged or sealed. We were served quickly and the food was subpar, large portions but poorly prepared and tasteless. We were expecting two meat dishes, but only one arrived. The vegetables were awful and the rice was precooked. The desserts were truly mediocre.
