Delicious! Crispy thin crust. Gluten free options available. They try to be very accommodating; kind and helpful service. Well worth the drive to Trinidad from McKinleyville for a dinner treat. We keep coming back to see what unique specials they cook up!

Stopped by Trinidad for some pizza on my way and was not disappointed. The place was packed with folks for dine in and the wait times were long for a whole pie. I went for the slices and throughly enjoyed them. Their vegan wildflower pizza is amazing. They do vegan slices on Wednesdays and Saturdays. They do have vegetarian options as well. Would try it out if you are close by. Plenty of parking outside and Murphy next door carries firewood if you’re camping etc too.

Everything about this pace was wonderful. The decor is fun and quirky and the service was great. Unique pizza options. We got 1/2 Trinity and 1/2 Bonfire. Their crust is on the thin side so we got it cooked well done and it was perfect! Small size salad for the price but the fig balsamic dressing is sooo good!

Pizzas are huge and delicious! Wish they had some sides to choose from but still love this place regardless. Inside is always clean and welcoming. Iv only dealt with one staff member every time iv ordered/picked up from here and she's super friendly and cool. We ordered for pickup after a long day of hiking the redwoods and fern canyon. The pizzas were large and delicious, we loved all the pizzas we ordered. We ordered all 4 of the meat pizzas, the aloha, the old growth, the Trinity and the club. The value and taste of the pizzas were excellent and the 4 pizzas fed a group of 10 easily.

My, now husband, and I ordered from Headie’s for our destination wedding’s rehearsal dinner. It was absolutely delicious!! We had many different toppings and a gluten free pizza and it was all outstanding!!! My only wish was that there was more left over!

This thin crust New York style pizza is very good. I actually like the crust a little thicker, but the thin crust was big on flavor and not as greasy as other pizza places with similar style. They had a good selection of pizzas and some available by the slice. The place was always busy but didnt have to wait too long. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

I saw the locals getting heartwarming treatment from Katie (sp?) (the owner?) as she addressed them by name and made them feel special. I was a bit envious but was thrilled to get the same welcoming and caring treatment even though I was just passing through. I arrived feeling a bit down and out and left feeling confident in humanity and wanted to remember the experience by sharing it with you.

There pizza is the best I've have ever eaten. If I lived near Trinidad I would eat there at least 2 times a week. The service was just as good. We picked up a pizza after a day of hiking. Everyone at the restaurant was incredibly friendly. The place is small and very cute. The pizza was incredible! They recommend calling ahead to make sure they have enough stock for your pizza, this is a great suggestion. Eat here! It's great!

Better than a lot of pizza places I have been to, locally. I managed a Round Table Pizza in the 90s for 6 years in Marin County, and it is better than Round Table, by a mile.

We went to Headies 2 days in a row. We got a few slices of their pizza, which is very thin crust. They heat the slices up for you and give them to you in a take out box in just a few minutes. I liked the pepperoni pizza and their other specials too. We originally were going to get a whole pie but they were very baked up and a few (large) slices were more than enough.

My husband and I stopped by this great pizza place in Trinidad, CA. We had just finished 3 days of backpacking and were celebrating our next leg of adventure with pizza and beer. Atmosphere: This place has a personal flare and charm along with with a clean and cozy dining room. Beautiful local photography on canvas cover the walls mixed with endearing Headies merchandise like their t-shirts and stickers. Their tables are adorned with painted pizzas on them which only stimulate the appetite while awaiting for your order. Food: I'll get to the pizza (spoiler: delicious) but first I have to gush a bit about the salad. The house salad is by far the best I've ever had at a pizza place and honestly on par with most sit down restaurants. It has mixed greens of spinach and lettuce, sunflower seeds, tomatoes, black olives, chopped red bell pepper, croutons, and cheese. We chose the fig balsamic dressing which was a nice sweet addition to the base salad. Now for the pizza! We ordered the Pineapple Express with normal cheese blend and added pepperoni. Great 16" pie with medium crust. Great amount of toppings and good combination of flavors. They got it all out in 20 minutes. Beer Several beers on tap and a good selection of bottles and cans to boot. We opted to try a pale ale and pilsner on tap which were served in cold pint glasses and did not disappoint. Great friendly and personal staff. Hospitality is hard to find sometimes but is in abundance here at this must stop pizza shop.

We got the old growth pizza— delicious thin crispy crust, fresh veggies, and good seasoning. Right ratio of all toppings. The ambiance is casual but very pleasant. Also, a good beer/alcohol selection! Would recommend!

It’s hard to choose a pizza - and that’s just the vegetarian page. Sure you can make your own with meat but why work so hard? There are only 12 seats and they can’t accommodate your dog, but take out is easy and a view of the ocean is near. Fine local beer options too. They’re one of the few in town that are open 7 days, but mind the hours.

Excellent crispy thin crust pizza by the slice with friendly service. Beers are an option. Take your slice to go and turn to the right out of the restaurant for some beautiful views of the California coastline.

Even though we only had one vegan in our large group, we went here because they had many vegan pizza options. Everyone said their pizza was absolutely amazing. Friendly service and we all want to go back again.

By the slice or 16” inches of pure deliciousness. The vegan cheese is amazing and you can make any pizza vegan by swapping out the cheese. The Artist is a family favorite and I definitely recommend trying it out. Perfect place to call in an order and then take home, dine in or take to the beach!

We drove about 30 minutes for the chance to have vegan pizza on our Northern California trip, and we were not disappointed! They have vegan slices on Saturday, but I'm not a fan of pineapple on pizza and that was what they had on tap when we were there, so we got one of the vegan specials with black olives and onions. The toppings were fresh and plentiful, and the crust was one of the best I have ever tasted. It's a tiny place, but they do a good job of making it feel welcoming.

My family and I are here from the east coast and it’s rare that I ever say that food on the west coast is to die for BUT THIS PIZZA absolutely did it for me! I saw the 4.7 star rating they had and on a whim sent my husband in to order a half pep/ half cheese and omg!!! Taste like I’m home eating pizza! So fresh, so good and literally HIGH QUALITY! Pizza was $22 and it was SO WORTH IT! Keep it up yall! Super impressed with this pizza-it even taste good cold! We WILL be back!

You must come here if you have a pizza craving. Every time I visited Trinidad I just drop by to get several slices for take out. Just the freshest and best tasty pizzas. Lots of flavors and never greasy. Service is always friendly and excellent. There could be a little bit of a wait as it is very popular and they baked fresh pizzas nonstop.

Grabbed pizza to go when we stayed at a nearby air bnb. If we had known there was slices available we might have done that but we ordered the Big Wave pizza and loved it! Big, thin, foldable slices with all the toppings. Can't beat a beer to go as well. Would definitely recommend for anyone craving pizza in the area!

Fabulous pizza by the slice: thin crust, hot and crispy perfection! Right in the heart of Trinidad and easy to get to from the freeway. Headies always has a great selection of pies to choose from (usually 6!!!) and the daily special is often unique + great! Don’t miss out on the Pineapple Cider, super refreshing and drinkable. Nice staff is always a bonus and the crew at Headies don’t disappoint! Definitely one is our fav local joints! Go eat pizza! PS: happy hour specials too!!

This was a spur of the moment decision to eat at headies. The seafood restaurant we plan to go to was already closed. Glad it was headdie's was great. The pricing is very reasonable they have a great selection of different types of pizzas will do half and half, gluten-free crust was still great, pizza was absolutely delicious and they serve it in slices too only $25 for a large. Only drawback is there's very little seating but there's a very nice grassy lot right outside bring a blanket

Limited seating, long lead time for the pizzas. We called the pizza order in from the road, not knowing what to expect. It took an hour for the pizzas to be ready for pickup. I don't know if they make each crust from scratch or not, but it seems a little too long for pizza. It's more like a small place to get a drink of whine and the pizza is an extra. Very laid back, no real urgency.

Trinidad only offers a handful of places to eat, and very few places to grab a quick meal. You can go to the nearby grocery store to get something fast, but you’d be a fool not to try out Heddies Pizza instead. Offering pizza-by-the-slice, it’s no wonder this tiny shop stays busy all throughout the day. Tossing dough by hand and assembling pizzas with care, Heddies offers a legitimate product that goes further than cheap pizza. Sporting your traditional pepperoni and cheese is a staple, but specialized toppings like fig reduction glaze, garlic cream sauce, hand chopped bacon and house made pesto sauce are where you begin to strike gold in a little bay town like Trinidad. Things are really amplified when you consider they offer many vegan options, which i believe fills a necessary gap in the area. They have something special going on at Heddies Pizza. I would also like to mention that the staff was cool under pressure and polite. Fair warning, parking is limited [just like everywhere in Trinidad] and wait times for pickups can easily exceed 45mins [I waited an hour for my order]. But overall, as somewhat of a pizza expert, I was impressed and would easily return if I was in the area.

Fantastic atmosphere, very clean, wonderful service. The young lady behind the counter was so kind and nice to talk to. We ordered a 12" pizza with the meats (I don't remember the name for it). The pizza in the precooked rack for quick service looked great so we were waiting for a great pizza that just didn't come. The pizza was overcooked to the point of almost being burnt. The saving grace for our visit was the staff.

Decent pizza but not great. Too many toppings on the recommended pizza so it had to stay in the oven longer, burning the crust. Took roughly an hour to get the 16’.

Pizza seemed to be lacking something. There was some sort of problem that you would have to wait for an hour before you could get what you wanted. Had to settle for what they were selling by the slice.

I had the Daily Special which was good. The service is a bit wonky. The negative signs with "Don't block the doorway!" taped near the entrance were a bit off putting and took away from the overall experience. Atmosphere was very nice, smallish but quaint, nice decor, and the smell of pizza when you enter gets you going in the right direction! I'll go back.

We've had this pizza one time before and it was fine to 2nd time we went back it was a fiasco day needed a credit card they don't want us to pay with cash or she would have to redo over all the transactions which in the phone call we never asked if they wanted a credit card or weekly or bank cash as for extra mushrooms in the extra all lives and church $4 for them and there's barely nothing on there not really excited this time about this place I see no mushroom unless the grind them up

we loved how many great vegetarian options there were, but unfortunately, found the pizza to be forgettable overall. Ingredients tasted fresh and the girl at the counter was very friendly and kind. Tip: call it in ahead of time, because there was a wait longer than an hour. I appreciate they give you a heads up on that before you order!

The boys in the back think they’re running a Michelin star restaurant- we asked the lady who took our order NOT to burn or overcook our pizza- she asked the Michelin boys but they overcooked it anyway- overpriced- and pizza was ‘meh’…bummer as this is supposed to be a pizza joint. Also, don’t ask the lady if you can run a tab- as she’ll say yes, then tell one of the passive aggressive boys that we hadn’t paid yet and he jumped on our table (2 sixty year old women) to pay up and they don’t ’do tabs’…maybe he should have let the nice lady with the purple hair know before he shook us down. Poorly run and below average pizza. Good luck at that price point.

I don't know how they have a 5-star rating thus far, their pizza is halfway decent, but literally a centimeter thin. I live in Trinidad, and I've tried their pizza on numerous occasions, hoping for better results every time, to no advail. At $3 per slice for the most basic pizza, its just not worth it. Service is good, but the pizza has a ways to go.

Wife and I make it a point to try local pizza when traveling. We have had many different places, with varying results. Headies was on our list before we headed to Trinidad. The menu looked good. Called an order in for pickup. One 16" margherita and one 16" pepperoni. Quoted a 40 minute wait. No problem. Inside of the restaurant was cool, with a good vibe. So far, so good. Took the pizza back to the house. I won't say it was inedible, but it certainly wasn't anything I'd call 'good'. While we enjoy thin crust, that normally implies a bit of doneness of the crust. These were thin, but seemed undercooked. Flavor was less than what I'd expect from a store-brand frozen pizza. Just really generic. We each ate one slice, and then agreed we only finished them out of a sense of commitment to the money spent. There was discussion of putting them in the oven to finish cooking, but agreed the lack of flavor didn't constitute the waste of electric it would take to warm the oven. We originally planned to reheat them for the next day's lunch. They went into the trash instead. I'm impressed this place averages 4.7 stars. These reminded me of what I'd make as an eight-year-old on the kitchen counter with some tortillas, canned tomato sauce, and cheese from the dollar store.

Unfortunate experience for an otherwise wonderful slice of pizza. As part of a group that all ordered slices, we requested time to order full pizza and were told 30 minutes. Because our group was already eating we decided to buy the remaining pizza by the slice. The cook made a rude comment about making us wait to reheat the slices and then was extremely rude when he finally did bring our pizza(20 minutes later). The cook with black beard and long hair is in the wrong business, we were kind and considerate and were given surprisingly rude service in return for spending more money on pizza.

After a long day of hiking, I stopped by this place to grab something to eat. I initially tried to order a 16-inch pizza and some drinks, but before completing the order, I asked the cashier how long it would take. She said it would be about 30 minutes, but since I had a two-hour drive ahead of me, I couldn't wait that long. Instead, I asked to switch my order to four single slices, which only took about 5 minutes to reheat. While this seemed like a simple adjustment, I overheard one of the two guys in the back getting upset about me not ordering the whole pizza. He made a remark about how "they weren’t Little Caesars," which was completely uncalled for. If I didn’t have a long drive ahead of me, I might have stayed, but that comment left a bad impression. It’s unfortunate they felt the need to say that.

Ordered a pizza with pepperoni on the entire thing and added sausage as a second topping for half of the pizza. Heard the cashier call back for half a pepperoni and half sausage. So, I specifically clarified that I wanted pepperoni on the entire thing PLUS sausage on half of it. She said that she understood and finished the transaction; asking for a tip up front (which I don't understand--what am I tipping for at this point?). She said about 20 minute wait time, which I was fine with. Pizza came out wrong, and 40 minutes later. I asked for a refund for the extra amount they charged for the second topping and to get the tip (15%) back (they messed up and were super late). What I ended up getting back was a dollar and some change (less than either the extra they originally charged and less than the tip; let alone both). The pizza isn't thin and crispy as it looks in some pictures. It's thin and soggy. If you want to eat in, there's only a few seats available. We had the left side of the restaurant and a family had the other side. There were no more seats for more guests. Bad service, bad taste, bad ambiance. I would never, ever go back here. I don't recommend it.
