Their food was soo good I tried for the first time last night Real Authentic Taste you can’t get that too much anymore && the Girl was really Nice behind the counter , one of the best Spanish spots I’ve had so far upstate
We stopped by and took a look through the window. The chef/(owner?) came out to greet us and invited us in to see his place…..even though he was closing for the night. We tasted their chicken empanadas which were delicious! Would definitely do takeout from here. Lots of home cooked flavor.
If you like Spanish food go check them out. Some of the food my wife and I ordered were much better than some of the restaurants I've been to in the Capital Region area. Don't get me wrong the food is descent but could have used a little more seasoning. Over all they were very nice and restaurant was very clean.
I had the stewed chicken w yellow rice and maduros and all of it was so delicious. The chicken just slid off the bone with little effort. Everything was seasoned perfectly and the small portion was a hearty lunch.
By far the beat spanish food I've eaten upstate definitely gives me my NYC vibes always hits and never disappoints can't wait to see the menu grow waiting for them soups to drop 😋
Savor Caribeño in Troy is a delightful find that instantly took me back to my NYC roots. From the moment I stepped in, the warm smiles and genuine hospitality of the staff made me feel truly welcome. They were very attentive, the atmosphere is filled with warmth and friendliness that makes you want to return again and again. I tried the special: fried fish with rice, beans, and maduros. The flavors were incredible—the fish was perfectly crispy, and the sweet plantains paired beautifully with the savory beans. Their empanadas reminded me of gatherings back home, with a perfect balance of crunch and flavor. To top it off, the tres leches cake was moist and deliciously nostalgic. I also did try the Passion fruit juice which was SOOOO refreshing and paired with some Don Julio would be the perfect summer mix drink!
I ordered the Cuban sandwich and it was good would recommend minor adjustments but overall full of flavor. Wonderful atmosphere and good energy from the staff. Will be back again.
So happy to have found this place, did not know they have been here for 2 1/2 years. Had a great time today for lunch and we plan on having them cater a party in a month for us.
This place is my go-to for puertorrican food. Those beans are amazing. Great people who work there, good prices and the food is even better. I recommend the yellow rice and pulled pork. Can’t go wrong.
On my way to Lake George and found this authentic gem. Amazing food and very generous servings. The Owner and chef were very helpful and very knowledgeable. Great vibes
The food was absolutely amazing, everything had perfect flavor and was cooked to perfection! Amazing energy; the people were so nice!! Definitely making this restaurant top 1 on my list🙏🏽☺️
This is THE SPOT!... Portions are GREAT... Prices are REASONABLE... I went in for the 1st this past weekend and was immediately greeted with a smile from the lady behind the counter. The food exceeded my expectations. I look forward to eating here again as it will be a regular Go-To for me, my friends and business associates! If your looking for a clean spot with good food this is the place to go.
Ed & Anthony are very hospitable & make the atmosphere warm & welcoming, with a realness & joy! Food is VERY good too!!!
Absolutely delicious!!!! Best in the capital region, easily. Huge portions, great prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. Miss Iris is awesome and I will definitely be coming back!
Great food, ribs, pork bites and empanadas are a must try.
I love the food here takes me back to when my grandma was alive.. the pernil is the most delicious part for me. My family and I enjoy the food the people that work there was sweet. Best Spanish spot in the 518

I called a half hour before closing as I saw them up on Facebook I called ask if i would get there on time as I live in Schenectady. One of the owner wife was very polite and said yes she would put in my order and I must say I was very please got there 10 min before closing and my food was ready and they greeted me with a smile . And the staff was very nice. No one had an attitude because they were about to close. Got home and food was fresh 😋 and very good 👍 I enjoyed it so much I'll be getting more puerto 🇵🇷 food from there and they prices was great .. Thank you to all who made my night . Michelle
I catered for my son's wedding. Everyone loved the food. I will definitely order from here again. And not only the food was great but the service felt like being in the island. Thank you so much Sabor Caribeño.
The food was so so good! Everyone was so hospitable and their prices are really good. I had to come back to edit this review to add more. My great grandma from PR passed away a few years ago and one of the many things that I miss about her is her food. The white and beans from this restaurant made me feel like I was eating hers again.
Super generous portions (small plate = dinner plus lunch tomorrow; large = two dinners and probably some extra leftovers), really flavorful and juicy pernil with great bark. Plantains are a must.
I came here last week with my friend after we found ourselves out in Troy and hungry! We’re from a neighboring town so we weren’t sure where to go and was hesitant walking in. However, the options looked appetizing and they took our order immediately. We decided to dine in and only waited approximately 5 min before our food came out. It looked and smelled delicious, and the passion fruit juice very well complimented our entrees. I had gotten the fried pork bites with plantains and my friend ordered the fish special. It was a whole vibe in there as staff was friendly and even had music going. They really hooked us up and we will definitely be back!! 10/10 tres leches
We stop here on our way to Massachusetts from South Carolina just to get a quick bite, but we ended up with a massive plate of tostones con pernil that was delicious. The Waitresses/Cashier recommended the green sauce and let me tell you it didn't disappoint. The entire staff was so pleasant and easy to talk to ☺️ I believe we even met the owner who gifted us some limbers 😋 Thank you for your hospitality. You now have a loyal SC customer, we will stop here every time we travel to MA
Food was amazing, service was great, very nice and pleasant people. Had bbq chicken rice and beans. Large portions. Would eat again
Rarely do I leave reviews, but after the PHENOMENAL meal I just had I have to leave one. It is indeed real authentic Puerto Rican food (like my mother and grandma make). Of course I had to get the pernil platter with a side of alcapurria and it was fantastic. Staff was great, price was great and experience was a 10 out of 10. Please go do your stomach a favor and try this restaurant.
had to drive 45 minutes from vermont for this food and would 100% do this again! i got the stewed chicken, roast pork, and fried chicken with some sides! the whole thing was 53 dollars for three platters and 3 sides! amazing quality and there’s a free spin on a wheel of luck if you spend over 25 bucks! we got two spins i got a free soda for now and my boyfriend got a free empanada for next time we come! 10/10 recommend

So they had just opened for lunch as soon as we got there. The place was like a small pick up spot . Maybe a couple chairs and a counter to eat at. I asked about the dining room. The guy was super nice and said yea , I just gotta open it . We walked next door. They turned the lights on , put the TV on some mellow holiday music while a fire place video played on the TV. It was just me and my wife in the dining room. Real clean and inviting. We got pernil and pepper steak . Beans are bangin. Rice was a little dry. Plantains on point. Food could have been warmer. But the warm welcome attitude of the waiter, cook and another woman I encountered made up for it. They are real friendly, like they actually appreciate your business. Would definitely go again !
I've been looking for authentic PR food that was good for a long time. To be fair, I haven't tried every place available. My old best friend in high school's mom was Costa Rican and his dad was Puerto Rican. She passed in the 90's and I've missed her and her food ever since. This was really close. My wife and I got the small stew chicken (great portion!). The large looks like it would be almost 2 meals for me (I'm a big guy). The small stuffed me. The food was delicious. 5 stars. The gentleman behind the counter was patient, helpful and took care to plate our food.. asking us questions along the way. 5 stars. Atmosphere was friendly, but basic. Only issue... And it's partly my fault for not bringing it up, but my wife said something to me about it after we got home with the food... They didn't have any plantains ready to go with our combo. Not a big deal to me, but my wife made a solid point that they should've offered a drink or a little side or a small discount for not having any plantains available. That's the only reason I took a star away. I still tipped the 15% out of respect for the customer service though. Really great place for awesome Puerto Rican food. We'll be back. 🙂
Great food ,great people my only problem is the lack of seating and restrooms
Not to bad even though rice tasted a little hard. There alcapuras are good but small. Maybe it they get more business food would be more fresher. Its a small place and a very good distance from my location so can't say I'll be back anytime soon. But will to try the food again.
Pardon my pics I had dug in already but all I can say is the food was ok it could have had a bit more flavor I’m from down state and I’ve realized it’s not to many great options up here I got the pepper steak with rice and beans they put enough gravy like how I like and the plantains was good the presentation could have been better not the best but not the worst either

Ordered Pepper Steak twice and was disappointed both times. The steak is always dry because it isn’t served separate from the rice like other Spanish restaurants do in this area. By the time it arrives to my home, the gravy is nonexistent. The steak may be best eaten as a dine in patron instead of delivery.
So disappointed. The food here used to be soooo good. I don't know if they lost their old cook or something, but now the chicken and rice is dry as hell and flavorless. Our orders were also missing the plantains and potatoes that used to come with the meal. Unfortunately, this is the second time in the past couple months that we’ve tried to get food from here and it was like this. Thought the first time was a fluke, but maybe that's just how it is now.

The food was horrible and the accipula was Burnt. This ain’t it. Meat was dry and the rice was a little decent but the beef stew look like a dry mop. The only thing worth eating was the Flan. Go get some cooking lessons in NYC from the cucchifrito. I waisted my money. PeriodT.
Very Very bad experience.I ordered pepper steak. The lady serving ,was exceptionally nice. The food was packed I paid iwith cash and tip.The all of a sudden a a man appeared from no where. He was rude and told me don't lean towards counter .He told me he is the owner.I felt embarrassed and left without taking food after paying.I am from neighborhood.Iwent out then a guy followed me and threw a piece of chicken towards me. Be careful going there
Terrible. Got 15 empanadas. The tray weighed less than a pound. Extremely skimpy no flavor and over fried.
This place is overpriced, and they give you a little bit of food. You asked for any type of juice. They fill your cup up to the top with ice. If you take the ice out, the juice is only 25% inside the cup. The food it's hard some cooking on the steamer. All day, sitting in the middle pans. The only thing fresh they have is the fried chicken.
First time trying the food here,to be honest,I wasn't impressed. The rice was under cooked, but flavor was good. The roast pork was dry and had no flavor. I've had better..I won't be going back. They only thing that tasted good was the fried plantains....the music was also a little too loud, making it hard to hear the person waiting on me.
DO NOT order from here . These have to be BOT reviews. The fish was rubbery one bite and my stomach started to bubble. Smh This is unacceptable that you’ve been open 2 yrs and this is the bs that comes out the door. The rice was dry and there was small little black things In hoping were not roaches as they were not pigeon peas. There was pigeon beans pinto beans n random small black things. Disgusting and unacceptable for Spanish cuisine. Nobody grandma would approve of this nonsense.
