Staff Very Friendly,Service Very Fast.Great Open Spaces,Fantastic Light. The Furniture Set Up Is Wowwing. The Flavor is International.
Their cortado healed my incipient migraine. Thank you. Lot's of atmosphere in this lovely caffee
Excellent coffee shop with really comfy chairs. Great coffee! My favorite coffee in the area. !
Friendly people, good service, good food, and great choice in jazz.
Go frequently for their cappuccino, which are consistently the best in the capital region. Highly recommend.
great coffee and cool vibe, I enjoy grabbing coffee and a little treat!!
I had a hot chocolate. Scrumptious. My day was made a little brighter that's how good it was.
I love Liam's chai (troy late night) yippee!!
Great coffee, nice staff no matter who's there.
Some of the best lattes and cappuccinos in the area, served in a spacious café.
Excellent coffee and sandwiches. Nice open bright space.
Much appreciate Stacks understanding of some critical things.
Delicious espresso! Great vibes too
Fire coffee and dank vegan bagel situation 👌
My granddaughter loved the vibe
Awesome place and a nice vibe 😊
Cold brew is delicious!
Excellent latte, excellent service!
Employees are the best!
Workers are all super friendly. Lovely warm inviting space with plenty of room. Food is always yummy and coffee delish! (also I'm sorry for my husband's 1 star review - I'm trying to get him to take it down. I don't know why he's so grumpy)
This place is a very cute coffee shop as soon as you walk in you get comfort vibes! The coffee was good and very cheap my House Drip Coffee with 2% Milk was only $2.79! The staff there is lovely and if I needed anything like a little more milk in my coffee they were happy to provide. I would highly recommend stopping here for a good cup of coffee!!!!
Best cortado in Troy!!
Hayden is an extremely skilled barista. The espresso here is the silkiest: a velvety delight sure to put a smile on your face. The staff here is always welcoming and remembers you after just a few visits. This Troy location also turns into an events bar on some evenings. A lovely atmosphere where you can bring your pup, work, chat with friends, or enjoy the jazz.
Espresso drinks are plentiful. House coffee comes in two varieties. Menu offers plenty of breakfast and lunch items. Pastries are freshly baked daily. Samantha and Nelson are two of the best baristas in the area.
A few food steps in you find a bright open inviting space. The menu tempts you with tasty foods and coffee. A cute dog gives you puppy eyes. The staff is super friendly, it’s like you’ve come home to chill with your favorite roommates. The food is nice and the cortado and latte are excellent.
Super cute! Very relaxed environment with delicious coffee and well priced. The staff was really patient and sweet they seem to know alot of their customers by name. Very cool!
Great prices. Bagel slaps and reminds me of my Manhattan days. Dog friendly! Definitely good passive human social exposure for behaved pups.
First visit today. Hayden very inviting and courteous. Interior well thought out and spacious. Food delicious and well packaged for to-go order. Will be back, for sure!
Best coffee in the capital region. Also got their coffee for wedding favors at my wedding which came out awesome. Highly recommend best coffee shop in Troy and in upstate NY.
Great chai tea! Love that they have gluten free options for breakfast sandwiches and such. The sweet potato “bread” was great for my egg sandwich!
BEST ESPRESSO BAR EVERRRRR I love Emma the barista and Dimas the cook it was soooo good. Apple of my Chai so good and bagels fantastic.
Love the vibe, its quaint, the staff is always friendly, at all the locations. Im usually in first thing in the morning to grab my coffee before work. The Greg sandwich is also my go-to breakfast sammy.
Stacks was open this morning during the Turkey Trot and the guy working there couldn't have been nicer. I was thankful to be warm and dry waiting for the race to finish.
Absolutely loved it! Super chill environment could hang for hours alone or with a group. Ample seating and relaxed space. Coffee is delicious and priced well
Amazing experiences here, really love the chai lattes and bagels. I had a great experience with the barista Emma and the cook Dimas.
The service was amazing! And the coffee was EVEN BETTER! The shop was calm and neat and the staff were wonderful! 10/10 would go back again!
There are alot of fantastic coffee shops in troy, this is one of them for sure. Everything is great, food is great and the beverages are too. I love the atmospheric and there is alot of space.
Sam is incredibly friendly and makes the best lattes. This is my favorite coffee spot in the area!
They did a great job with the place! So much lovely seating, plants, and natural light in the shop. And super solid coffee!!!
Excellent service, more than reasonable prices, and delicious breakfast. The barista was quite friendly, adding to an overall very pleasant experience.
What a great addition to downtown. They did a great job on the remodeling.. Bright and welcoming. Been there twice and got the "Babbette" sandwich both times. Brisket with "stewed" peaches on it,served on a baggett.perfect size.i don't enjoy oversized sandwiches. I only wish they were open until 4 pm. I've come on to edit/update my review. Good new/bad news. They have extended their hours to 5 pm. Bad news food service ends at 2:30, only drinks up to 5.i could not find any notice of this on line or in posted hours. This is inconvenient not knowing ahead of time.i understand the $$ behind that policy but it should be made very clearly either on line or in your window.
Stacks is a cozy little cafe with great atmosphere and food! Our barista, Emma, and our cook, Dimas were fantastic and friendly, joking with us as if we were life-long friends. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
I was served by Emma and Dimas and they brought the VIBES. We stopped by for some breakfast and tea things and they were both so personable and provided great service. The food and drinks are amazing as always. 10/10 do recommend!
Does Stacks Espresso Bar stack up? That is the question on my mind this morning as I try a large cup of their Ethiopian blend. I have it black with no sugar. The roast promises juicy hints of plum and raspberry, and while it doesn't quite hit the juicy mark, it definitely gets points for being fruity-delicious... The reason why it doesn't hit the juicy sweet spot is that I'm not desiring more.... Thumbs up for the semisweet aftertaste! UPDATE: I've returned to Stacks Espresso Bar twice since my first visit on Sunday. I've since tried their cortado, espresso with an equal amount of milk to reduce acidity, and a large cup of their house blend drip coffee, black, no sugar. The cortado was on point, it was only my second time having one. It was very mellow and flavorful. The house blend is my new favorite, right here in downtown Troy, a 15 minute walk from my place. The blend is nutty and smooth, as advertised, and has a slow-sip-worthy bittersweet aftertaste, which I love...
I literally love Stacks! I’m here usually 3 times a week for work. The workers are always inviting and super nice. I work with individuals who have special needs and they are always willing to help my client’s peers when they purchase drinks and meals. I will continue to support them as much as possible I hope one day they start making refreshers
Excellent coffee. A little bit on a bitter side, but still quite full of flavor. Most friendly and knowledgeable barrista Liam told us about the city of Troy is. (Most my reviews are positive— that’s because we try to find only good places to have our coffees. But Stacks is one of the top ones)
When you walk in it is nice and bright, well defined spaces. The beverages and food were delicious. I had a special peach cobbler latte and a salad with brisket and peaches. Great addition to downtown Troy!
Very good coffee, delicious bagels and very friendly service!
Unique inside a perfect place to have hang out after church. They don’t have really lot or options..

Second time I went since I moved here to Troy on the first! I have had a lot of bagel sandwiches and nothing beat’s our famous Stewart’s breakfast sandwiches… but wow!! I got a bagel with butter and snagged a bite from my boyfriend’s sausage egg and cheese bagel. Both were AMAZING! Seriously the best bagels I have ever had. I got the italian strawberry soda as well - and if you don’t like coffee like me, you must try this! It is like a delectable strawberry soda but it’s just seltzer water and flavor. They let you put any flavor in it as well!! The atmosphere is so nice and I was so happy that it is also pet friendly, so I could bring my dog inside :)
Honestly this place is super cute I keep bringing first dates here. The baristas are all very alt coded and friendly and I've only gotten the holiday drinks so far but they've all been amazing. The only qualm I would even have is that it has a bit of a millennial grey vibe to the decor but still very cozy very pleasant. If you are awkward like me sound does seem to carry so it constantly feels like I'm talking too loud but that's just a personal note for people who might care about that kind of thing. Drinks are bomb the staff is adorable the vibes are immaculate.
The most perfect iced caramel latte with oat milk. My daughter loved her rhubarb pastey. Beautiful atmosphere with lots of seating options and local art on the walls. We loveddd the back patio!! Just magical.
I always enjoy The Cousin on an everything bagel and it never disappoints. Love the atmosphere. It's always a 2 person team whenever I go to any location and while at times it's very efficient, if the right 2 people aren't on, it can be a little chaotic.

Usually a great spot for coffee and pastries but was disappointed when while hosting a private, paid-for event, customers were coming in and out all night and staying open to the public.
Cool Cafe. Barista was very nice and made a delicious drink. Pastries were great. Cool sitting area in the rear.
The staff was pleasant, greeted us with smiles and hellos, knowledgeable about the products they make and sell. It's a very cute artsy style local coffee shop with hints of Italian and French culture mixed in.

I’m seeing the door open with people coming in the door at 2:45 , wanting to stay. The customers are not liking the new hours at all. You never want to upset customers because there are so many other coffee shops in Troy. They will go to other’s coffee shops. And not come back.
The place is beautiful, like a home the food is good and the people who work their are wonderful people. My experience recently could be better as in food was cold and customer services was not not given correctly in a professional manner.

The place is basically a Pottery Barn with coffee.. The decor is sterile and lacking the warmth and intimacy that makes a coffee shop great. The coffee and food are okay...nothing special.
Was a fan for many years. Seems to have lost the ability to "BE" Cafe. Sudden change in menu went from a very ambitious flat bread selection to some sad bagels. Music selection will depend on which work crew, or employee donates.
Coffee is good. Service can be spotty. Check out Alias if you're looking for a better latte and friendly service
decent coffe got egg and cheeze sandwich on a begal, very disappointed. Fake eggs (or at least premade), and although the sandwich was very hot, it was bearly toasted, almost felt as it came out of microwave.
When I first walked in, I was blinded by the whiteness. I knew that regardless of the food or service, this would not be a place I would make my "go to". I simply prefer cozy coffee houses that have a feeling of warmth and the invitation to hang out and be comfortable. The chairs here are uncomfortable if you have a full sized figure. It took a rediculous amount of time to get my cappuccino. I actually got my bagel sandwich before the coffee. The bagel was nothing to write home about...but my friends sandwich looked great and she was wholly satisfied. My cappuccino was almost spot on. I ordered a 12 oz so thought it would have come with extra espresso. It was pretty, but too milky. She enjoyed her iced coffee...I think it was s strawberry cheesecake or something like that. Staff was,... ok friendly. Nothing really stood out about them. Maybe a 2nd visit...maybe not.

Coffee is excellent but the food is super disappointing. Egg sandwiches feature a barely cooked through “egg” slab and seriously mediocre bagels. It could be so much better! The vegetarian bagel is sad— some cucumbers and avocado. Then have other waffles and kind of overly sweet options, but I wish the breakfast sandwiches had more thought and quality ! With that said, the single origin coffees are fantastic— they usually have a single origin on drip. Staff is very knowledgeable about coffee and espresso drinks are also top tier.
They gave my drinks to people came after me and totally forgot my orders. The staff looked new and seemed out of it and kept asking me what my orders were. I waited over 20mins for two drinks….Anyway, the staffs who I used to see were very good.
Went in on a busy Saturday and only 3 people were working. One person on coffee. The process for taking orders needs improvement. Putting only the drink order on the cup with many people waiting isn’t great. Piling the cups on the counter didn’t work as I watched my orders get pushed back. It took 45 min to get 3 coffees.
Disappointed in the espresso which was clearly over-extracted on first and second taste. Also not impressed with their bagels but the food menu was so large, who knows what secret gem this spot might hold. Service was nice and the establishment is extremely clean and bright inside. Probably a great spot to study or have a date but not quite meeting the bar on coffee expectations today and therefore, not for me.

Went on a Saturday, ordered, and bam! They hit us with the 'special event' excuse. Would've been nice to know before we committed. Now, the quest for a chill Saturday spot is on.
We got our coffee then waited at least 15min for a single bagel sandwich. People there working on their laptops, taking a table by themselves that sits 5. People bringing their pets in is the worst. This is not a pet store. We'll find a different coffee shop.
Food quality isn’t up to my expectations for the price point. Batista turnover destroyed the quality of the espresso drinks. Hopefully it improves because it’s the most accessible coffee shop down town by car.
Ask if they had loose tea leafs was told yes, yes, yes .per the this guys that is wearing a black hat and glass("I don't have to till you my name when I ask him).but was not what I got. Per this person some thing that comes from think that is tea leafs.
timings inaccurate..!!!!
Takes 20 minutes to pour an iced coffee and 45 minutes to toast a bagel. Only go here if you are trying to waste your entire day
The service was poor. The woman who took our order was unfriendly, rude. The Chai latte was Luke warm. We will not be going there again. It was a much warmer environment as spilling the beans. Very disappointing.Stephanie Cannoe
The barista here was so mean to me I almost started crying because she was so rude about me ordering a matcha.
