Avis sur Stacks Espresso Bar Troy
Does Stacks Espresso Bar stack up? That is the question on my mind this morning as I try a large cup of their Ethiopian blend. I have it black with no sugar. The roast promises juicy hints of plum and raspberry, and while it doesn't quite hit the juicy mark, it definitely gets points for being fruity-delicious... The reason why it doesn't hit the juicy sweet spot is that I'm not desiring more.... Thumbs up for the semisweet aftertaste! UPDATE: I've returned to Stacks Espresso Bar twice since my first visit on Sunday. I've since tried their cortado, espresso with an equal amount of milk to reduce acidity, and a large cup of their house blend drip coffee, black, no sugar. The cortado was on point, it was only my second time having one. It was very mellow and flavorful. The house blend is my new favorite, right here in downtown Troy, a 15 minute walk from my place. The blend is nutty and smooth, as advertised, and has a slow-sip-worthy bittersweet aftertaste, which I love...
I literally love Stacks! I’m here usually 3 times a week for work. The workers are always inviting and super nice. I work with individuals who have special needs and they are always willing to help my client’s peers when they purchase drinks and meals. I will continue to support them as much as possible I hope one day they start making refreshers
Excellent coffee. A little bit on a bitter side, but still quite full of flavor. Most friendly and knowledgeable barrista Liam told us about the city of Troy is. (Most my reviews are positive— that’s because we try to find only good places to have our coffees. But Stacks is one of the top ones)
When you walk in it is nice and bright, well defined spaces. The beverages and food were delicious. I had a special peach cobbler latte and a salad with brisket and peaches. Great addition to downtown Troy!
Very good coffee, delicious bagels and very friendly service!
Unique inside a perfect place to have hang out after church. They don’t have really lot or options..

Second time I went since I moved here to Troy on the first! I have had a lot of bagel sandwiches and nothing beat’s our famous Stewart’s breakfast sandwiches… but wow!! I got a bagel with butter and snagged a bite from my boyfriend’s sausage egg and cheese bagel. Both were AMAZING! Seriously the best bagels I have ever had. I got the italian strawberry soda as well - and if you don’t like coffee like me, you must try this! It is like a delectable strawberry soda but it’s just seltzer water and flavor. They let you put any flavor in it as well!! The atmosphere is so nice and I was so happy that it is also pet friendly, so I could bring my dog inside :)
Honestly this place is super cute I keep bringing first dates here. The baristas are all very alt coded and friendly and I've only gotten the holiday drinks so far but they've all been amazing. The only qualm I would even have is that it has a bit of a millennial grey vibe to the decor but still very cozy very pleasant. If you are awkward like me sound does seem to carry so it constantly feels like I'm talking too loud but that's just a personal note for people who might care about that kind of thing. Drinks are bomb the staff is adorable the vibes are immaculate.
The most perfect iced caramel latte with oat milk. My daughter loved her rhubarb pastey. Beautiful atmosphere with lots of seating options and local art on the walls. We loveddd the back patio!! Just magical.
I always enjoy The Cousin on an everything bagel and it never disappoints. Love the atmosphere. It's always a 2 person team whenever I go to any location and while at times it's very efficient, if the right 2 people aren't on, it can be a little chaotic.

Hayden is an extremely skilled barista. The espresso here is the silkiest: a velvety delight sure to put a smile on your face. The staff here is always welcoming and remembers you after just a few visits. This Troy location also turns into an events bar on some evenings. A lovely atmosphere where you can bring your pup, work, chat with friends, or enjoy the jazz.
The staff was pleasant, greeted us with smiles and hellos, knowledgeable about the products they make and sell. It's a very cute artsy style local coffee shop with hints of Italian and French culture mixed in.

I’m seeing the door open with people coming in the door at 2:45 , wanting to stay. The customers are not liking the new hours at all. You never want to upset customers because there are so many other coffee shops in Troy. They will go to other’s coffee shops. And not come back.
The place is beautiful, like a home the food is good and the people who work their are wonderful people. My experience recently could be better as in food was cold and customer services was not not given correctly in a professional manner.

When I first walked in, I was blinded by the whiteness. I knew that regardless of the food or service, this would not be a place I would make my "go to". I simply prefer cozy coffee houses that have a feeling of warmth and the invitation to hang out and be comfortable. The chairs here are uncomfortable if you have a full sized figure. It took a rediculous amount of time to get my cappuccino. I actually got my bagel sandwich before the coffee. The bagel was nothing to write home about...but my friends sandwich looked great and she was wholly satisfied. My cappuccino was almost spot on. I ordered a 12 oz so thought it would have come with extra espresso. It was pretty, but too milky. She enjoyed her iced coffee...I think it was s strawberry cheesecake or something like that. Staff was,... ok friendly. Nothing really stood out about them. Maybe a 2nd visit...maybe not.

Coffee is excellent but the food is super disappointing. Egg sandwiches feature a barely cooked through “egg” slab and seriously mediocre bagels. It could be so much better! The vegetarian bagel is sad— some cucumbers and avocado. Then have other waffles and kind of overly sweet options, but I wish the breakfast sandwiches had more thought and quality ! With that said, the single origin coffees are fantastic— they usually have a single origin on drip. Staff is very knowledgeable about coffee and espresso drinks are also top tier.
They gave my drinks to people came after me and totally forgot my orders. The staff looked new and seemed out of it and kept asking me what my orders were. I waited over 20mins for two drinks….Anyway, the staffs who I used to see were very good.
Went in on a busy Saturday and only 3 people were working. One person on coffee. The process for taking orders needs improvement. Putting only the drink order on the cup with many people waiting isn’t great. Piling the cups on the counter didn’t work as I watched my orders get pushed back. It took 45 min to get 3 coffees.
Disappointed in the espresso which was clearly over-extracted on first and second taste. Also not impressed with their bagels but the food menu was so large, who knows what secret gem this spot might hold. Service was nice and the establishment is extremely clean and bright inside. Probably a great spot to study or have a date but not quite meeting the bar on coffee expectations today and therefore, not for me.

The place is basically a Pottery Barn with coffee.. The decor is sterile and lacking the warmth and intimacy that makes a coffee shop great. The coffee and food are okay...nothing special.

Food quality isn’t up to my expectations for the price point. Batista turnover destroyed the quality of the espresso drinks. Hopefully it improves because it’s the most accessible coffee shop down town by car.
The barista here was so mean to me I almost started crying because she was so rude about me ordering a matcha.
