I'm giving them a 5 star all the way. I LOVE going into a place where there's HS and college age kids learning about customer service, and they were trying really hard. They had an adult leader that was working with them and was very patient with the kids learning. Keep up the good work! And the pizza was excellent too!

We wanted great basic pizza and we found it here! Delicious cheese pizza, cooked perfectly. We also ordered the chicken parmesean which was fresh, hot and tasty. We did takeout and only waited 20 minutes. Great food, great service!

Always awesome!!! Delicious!! One of my faves for many many years!! Our go to place when we come home from a long trip.The Prados are an awesome family … their restaurants have always been wonderful!! And customer service the best!!! I haven’t been home to Truckee since November actually not a lot since before COVID … caring for parents in Bay Area…a lot has changed in our community, but you can’t go wrong with a comforting meal at Village Pizzeria!!

Ordered 8 half baked pizzas to go for a party. They were all fabulous with great crust and ingredients. The staff was very very helpful in helping us figure the order. Our guests thought we were brilliant to serve these pizzas. Can't wait to go for a sit down dinner

I've been eating here since the late eighties when they were in Tahoe City but never wrote a review. Simply put, they make some of the best pizza I've ever had! For me, the crust is very important and their crust is fantastic. We love their garlic chip pizza so much that we always buy several to take home to the Bay Area on our way out. Unfortunately it never quite makes it home. As other reviewers have said, the atmosphere is nice and the servers are friendly. It's always crowded on weekend nights so plan ahead. I have yet to find a comparable pizza joint in the Bay Area that is as good as this place. We love Totos pizza but it is a very different type of pizza crust.

The best marinara sauce we've had! The calzone and Greek Piadine were awesome. Great service too! Wait staff we're friendly and very helpful. We just happened to stop for lunch on our way home from Tahoe and was a highlight of our trip.

Surprisingly good pizza, at a very convenient location for anyone charging their EV. Service was reasonably fast too, and prices average.

Legendary pizza! This place somehow achieved casual and fine dining simultaneously. They do serve beer and wine if it catches your fancy. I remember many years ago stopping by to get pizza here as a child and getting to toss the dough (it was slow and my toss ended up on the newspaper rack which is no longer present :) ) Now probably 15 years later, it's my yearly anniversary stop. If your in the Tahoe area they're a must stop. Picture I posted was the deep dish Quattro framagio with added feta, and had garlic butter sauce. Yum!

Out of town visitor. I got a pizza here because it was close and open. I cannot belive how delicious this pizza was. The sauce was really good and the pie had the perfect amount. It had crispy, chewy crust. I got the Sierra. They were unexpectedly generous with the toppings. Most of my shock of quality came because this pizza was so reasonably priced. For what they charged us we were expecting a much lower quality pizza. Staff was friendly, and service was fast. 10/10 would visit again.

Wonderful place. Very good quality. the servers are very friendly and polite. Their pizza is a high quality so don't expect it to be chep as other places. Their pasta is also great. They are normally fast but be prepared to wait if you are visiting during holidays or weekends.

The food here is good their posta bread is to die for if you are a bread eater. The waitress is nice but every time I have come here she is the only server and you don't always get what you want as quickly as you should but she works very hard. I recommend everyone to stop by this place.

Love this place always, I haven't been in a long time. So many options, epic proportions, amazing pasta bread, fresh salads. Great chicken Parm and Piccatta. It was better this time than I remember. Wonderful fluffy pizza crust!

Was very happy they were open Christmas Eve. Was able to call in a pick up order. They picked up the phone right away and were very friendly. Ordered a meat lovers pizza and garlic bread with cheese. They were able to make it in about 20 minutes. Was able to pull right up to their building and pick it up. As a local, it's hard to find good pizza that isn't going to break the bank. This is the place! The pizza was wonderful and the garlic bread was to die for. Would definitely recommend to anyone who's coming to North lake Tahoe and wants good pizza that's not going to break the bank.

This is a quaint and cozy pizzeria in Truckee, CA. The food is fresh and delicious. My favorite item is the Italian Piadini, yumm! Isabel is an attentive and friendly waitress.

I personally can't speak on the atmosphere since my review is based on a phone order for pick-up and I was not the one to pick up. We ordered two large pizzas, and wings for carry out. The person on the phone was very pleasant and patient as I asked questions regarding their menu items. Our family enjoyed the pizza and we will definitely keep this place in mind again for a future visit!

Some of the best pizza I've ever had! My kids and I scarfed down the delicious pasta bread, then dove into our pizzas! We were so happy we had leftovers so we could enjoy it again! Very reasonably priced.

We had a great experience here. We ordered pizza, salad and garlic bread, and some drinks. Our server, Grace was world class. The food was delicious. The kitchen was prompt. But the thing that set it apart from just a good pizza was the table service. I was super impressed, and Grace got a nice tip from us.

Ordered over the phone. Didn't eat in. Can't genuinely rate that, but husband picked it up, server greeted him, pizza was really hot, he didn't need to ask for anything (peppers, parm, etc.), and server thanked him on the way out. It was busy with local-looking folks inside. Pizza was outstanding. Great crust, perfect ratio of sauce to toppings, and toppings were plentiful! We know pizza (professional travelers) and this was great! Whenever we're in town, well be getting our pizza here. We look forward to a dine-in experience when 'conditions permit.' 😉 (sorry, too hungry for pictures) Oh! Salad was great, too. (Has cheese on it)

The pizza was really good. I was really surprised by how yummy the crust was. The chicken wings was a hit with the family. Everything tasted fresh and scratch made. The curry chicken was mild and worked well as a pizza. Our waiter was slightly off compared to others around us. Maybe she was having an off night. Didn’t repeat our order at the end of ordering. Didn’t ask what beverage is for the kids, asks for a refill for one of the kids cups, insinuated we can pour from the adult cup into the kids cups. giving them the benefit of doubt and didn’t knock off a star.

Pizza is something I love, but finding a good pizza place can be challenging. As we were driving back home from King's Beach, we decided to stop here and give it a try. I was not disappointed in any way. The pizza was quite tasty. I really enjoyed the fettuccine Alfredo. A clean and pleasant atmosphere with excellent service. Every time we come to the lake, we make a stop here to eat. I highly recommend it.

Grabbed a pizza here on our way back to Kings Beach and my wife surprised me with getting their Clam & Garlic pizza. It sounded good to me, I just didn't think she would actually order it. I'm glad that she did, the minute I picked it up and got in the car I was drooling from the wonderful garlic smell. They don't skimp on the toppings either, this pizza was covered to the edge with clams and garlic. The pizza was still nice and hot when we got back and it was so good. The clams weren't chewy and were cooked perfectly. Such a great combination of flavors that one wouldn't expect to work on a pizza. I would highly recommend giving it a try. Staff was friendly and the place looks really nice inside. Next time we might try eating in.

Server was sweet and polite. It seemed she had to take care of every table in the restaurant, none the less she did wonderful. Food was outstanding. My wife was oohing and ahhing every bite. We were happily stuffed and pleased with our entire visit. Would recommend to everyone traveling through.

Garlic chips were amazing, and pizza was good, but very salty. Many choices, and overall a great Italian restaurant. Nice waitress, attentive and was not rude in any kind of way. Clean tables, and a nice feel when you enter the restaurant that tells you, its gonna be a good restaurant!

Solid pizza and Italian choice in Truckee. Standard pizza selections, the garlic chips are yummy too. Good sized pizzas as well. They are great about customizing and making substitutions. Staff is super friendly. There is usually a wait on busy weekends so call ahead. Prices are good for the value.

Very saucy spaghetti with meat balls and Stromboli pizza. You would think all spaghetti is the same but this was delicious 😋. Pizza crust is one of the best I have ever had. Crusty enough, not soggy or limp. Huge portions. Had a wonderful waitress with a beautiful smile. Tummy is full and 😊

Good California style pizza at a reasonable price. The garlic chips, basically mini pizza wedges, were excellent, pesto chips also good (but not as good). Add in a giant root beer at lunchtime and you may be able to skip dinner.

Food was very delicious but service was very disregarded. our waiter. She will not have any intention with us but yet ask for 18% 25% or 35% tip on our bill.

The salads are good and large. We split the ceaser between 2 people. We really like the pizza here. The pie was light and airy with a nice crunch. The sweet tomato sauce was nice. We had the Mikey Likes It and would have it again.

Fluffy, delicious pizza. Salad was okay. Cold beers. Nice staff.

We always grab the large cheese for the kids and combo for us, awesome pizzas every time. Only bummer was after spending nearly $60 and leaving a tip for a pickup order, I could only get 4 paper plates or pay extra.

As far as the pizza was concerned The crust was nice could have been a little thicker around the edges though the dough needs more flavor it was a bit on the bland side The sizes are terrible it would be nice if they made a large in an adult size their large would be considered medium in most other places and I did not see an extra large option. However the pizza was really good the service was great the sauce had a nice flavor and I like how when I asked for extra garlic they put it on top and it got toasty... in all I would definitely be back even if they're large pizzas are tiny they're still good

Most of the food was delicious. The garlic chips weren’t what I expected based on the description, but tasted really great. More of a cheesy garlic bread though. Pizza was great. The three stars is because of the spinach artichoke pasta. The flavor was weird, the raviolis seemed store bought and bland while the sauce tasted acidic and overall tasted nothing like spinach and artichoke. Absolutely not worth $20.

I really like some of their pasta dishes. The pizza is great overall, however the sweet pizza sauce is too sweet. Not my style of sauce. If it was spicier/more traditional pizza sauce, it would be fantastic. Still decent nonetheless.

When we first walked in the front ladies were very nice and so we were very hopeful to get good service. After getting seated and taking our order the service went downhill. Not once did our server / waitress come ask to refill our drinks, nor did she check up on us after giving us our food. The food tasted ok. Chicken wings were good. Caesar salad tasted ok but the chicken was dry. The pizza was meh… the bottom was soggy and doughy despite we asked for it to be cooked a bit longer. We also noticed a larger group getting seated 15 mins after us ordering but got their pizzas before us??!!! Idk what’s up with this restaurant. I wanted to like this place but won’t be coming back. Bad Karma for them.

We got 2 medium pizzas and a side of cheesy breadsticks. $60. The pizza is also not that good. There’s way too much bread and not that much tomato sauce. At least 2/3 of each slice is bread and it overpowers the flavor of everything else. I can barely tell I’m eating pizza.

The food is good quality but you get wildly small portions for way too much money. I spent over 80 for cheese bread and two tiny pizzas. And it was cold and undercooked. The cheese was melted but the middle was still dough.

3 STAR, WAS 5 STARS? Yep, their takeout was well below expectations. Looks like someone ate half of the portion before I got home. Not the case, not cheap but still tasty. This WAS a first review, no longer the case. Great food and value, especially for a resort town.

The location is easy to get to with ample parking and there are EV charging stations close by. The pizza was fairly good. The portion sizes are hefty and they don't skimp on toppings, which is nice. However, the service was sank my perception of this place. We had to wait a bit before our waitress took our order, but I don't hold that against them. The issue was after we received our food and beverages, our waitress ignored our table. Many of us had finished our sodas and waters, and although our waitress walked by our table multiple times to take the surrounding tables' orders, she would make eye contact but ignore us. We moved our empty glasses to the edge of the table and even waved her down 6 or 7 times, and each time we made eye contact yet she would hastily walk away. I don't expect servers to treat us like royalty, but this was a rather rude experience. TL;DR pretty good food, rude service

I eat here every trip to Tahoe. It’s always been good until last Saturday. 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni mushroom. It was awful. Cold and tastes a day old. Ordered wings dry and tasted 3 days old tossed out the whole meal. Really surprised since I have never had a bad meal here. Go to Zanos!!!!

Food was great. Service could have been better. Our server was Isabell, a short woman with black and grey hair. She did not greeted us, immediately asked for our order. At the end i noticed her stopping a customer leaving asking why they didn’t tip. It was obvious her service was not tip worthy. I have worked in the service industry for years as a server and i would never ask that. We still left 20 percent because we felt bad that she would be so bold to stop a customer leaving. The service was hardly there, all she said to us about the menu was there was no pasta available. Dropped the food and drinks off and left in a hurry. She also didn’t make sure everyone ordered. We had to stop her from walking away to tell her we still were ordering after she took 1 order. Luckily the kind host was able to get us the extra condiments we needed to enjoy our meal. When we asked if they were short staffed and hiring, our server replied that they were fully staffed ( very rudely) We noticed she was the only server there with more than 5 tables at a time. We may try this place again but it is unlikely because of the service we got.

Called ahead to order because we were short on time. Arrived hoping to wash hands and use the restroom but was declined even though had a large party eating inside...then left and we’re heading down the freeway and noticed that instead of a Hawaiian pizza, it was cheese. The food that was correct was not warm even though we arrived 2 minutes prior to pickup time. I understand if service is slow, but definitely don’t appreciate fast and sloppy service. Will not return.

Gone way down hill... Place was remodeled and obviously under new management. The staff had absolutely no idea what they were doing even with 2 tables. The Grilled Chicken sandwich was just frozen chicken and bacon reheated with some cheese on a piece of bread. While i appreciate simplicity it was poorly executed dry gas station food. Except gas station has better service.

Wow. Just wow. What a disorganized place. I sat for 45 minutes for a pizza and they completely forgot about it. Even though they brought a glass of wine to the table. I had to get up and ask if they forgot my pizza. Got the order wrong. I really wanted to like this place. Come here if you have time and don’t mind your order being wrong. Wow.

This is by far the worst pizza experience I have ever had. THe pizza was a frozen DiGiorno topped with old lettuce, the pizza was horrible uneatable, the wings were wrong, the salad we ordered was just like nothing I have ever seen in a restaurant. What restaurant does not have ice tea?? The restrooms were extremely dirty no soap or toilet paper. What establishment does not honor a military discount for our veterans!!! :-( :-(. I plan to call and find out who the owner is and demand a refund!! DO NOT EAT THERE. I would not recommend this place not on my worst enemy!!

The pizza was honestly the worst I've ever tasted in my life...and I have very low standards for pizza (Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa Johns are all amazing to me). We did one of the customizable pizzas, and it came out genuinely raw and uncooked in the middle. We asked them to put it back in the oven, and even after it was fully cooked, it tasted rock hard, dry, and worse than frozen pizza. Even though we had such a negative experience, they only gave us $5 off after we asked. I am shocked by all of the positive reviews.

Please look up gourmet before you post saying that you are! Ordered a vegetarian w/ extra cheese and mushrooms, that was a joke lacked both! Absolutely no sauce and thick bland heavy dough! I could find a frozen pizza 🍕 with more flavor and toppings! What a joke pizza maker….

My friends and I visited this restaurant for the first time. We stopped by to eat after skiing. We ordered three different types of pizza and one chicken sandwich. I'm sorry to say, but the food wasn't tasty. None of my friends liked the pizza. However, the place itself is nice.

Was enjoying pizza. Asked for soda refill, was told only one refill allowed. 90% of the cup was ice. Bill was over $50 for pizza and wings. Never had anyone made that comment before. Won’t go here again
