We loved everything about Old Tucson! Actors were fantastic, staff was super friendly and the shows were top notch! There was so much to do, we couldn’t get to everything in 4 hours. It’s a great place for kids too. So well done and professional. Can’t wait to bring our family here!
This was our first time back since it closed in 2020 and Old Tucson is so much better than before. With the rides, activities and shows all as part of the admission, it makes for a great day. The place looked magical with all the holiday lights and decorations and the additions of the lovely dressed up town people walking around singing or just interacting with you was so fun. I'd definitely make this an annual tradition!
Oh my gosh this place was magical. It was a winter wonderland, with so many things to do. The lights were so beautiful I just thought about the care and thought they put into making it a wonderful experience. They also have a petting zoo with goats and pigs. It’s a great place to create memories with your loved ones.
We are completely in love of Old Tucson. After living for almost 10 years in Tucson we decided to buy the anual pass and it is really worth it (short line in busy days, unlimited no alcoholic drinks and much more). Every time is a different experience. You can enjoy with family, friends and love ones. They have different options of food, drinks and multiple restrooms around the area.
The Yule Tide Christmas event at Old Tucson is hands down the most immersive, magical and awesome Christmas event I've ever been to. The staff is absolutely wonderful and you're instantly transported to a western winter wonderland where Christmas dreams come true, from train and carriage rides to meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus. Worth every cent of admission and the drive out there. Please support this amazing event so it'll be around for years to come.
I used to go to Nightfall every year and enjoyed it quite a bit. This year I decided to join my mom, son, daughter in law, and three grandkids for Yuletide (12/10/25). We all had a great time!!! There are a ton of things to do throughout, the grandkids enjoyed everything from the goats to the car ride to the tree lighting and SOOOO much more. However, by far I think the best part were all the people/cast who worked there and interacted with us. EVERY single one of them was super friendly and engaging("Atticus", the gentleman in front of the Iron Mine ride, the gentleman with who let us in to Mrs. Claus reading event, Mrs. Claus, the gentleman with the floating wand, the woman directing traffic in front of Big Jakes, and many more. Bottom line it's a great time with great people and we will be back.
It wasn't open to rides. We did the tour because that was the only choice. You learn about western movies. Our guide was great, he did a great John Wayne impersonation, he did not do a great Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonation. When it's super hot, you go from Shadow to Shadow while the guide explains what you're looking at. I recommend watching Tombstone before going to the tour.
What a wonderful surprise and gem of a place to visit ! (Buy the all inclusive wristband)Not wheelchair friendly but plenty of parking and the staff are very friendly& were great & in costume. The shows were amazing . especially make sure you plan to see the stunt show & Can Can, ride the train and Carousel! There was plenty to do all day for all ages! There were seven of us and we had lunch at Jake’s barbecue and it was absolutely delicious ~ better than any I’ve had at other restaurants. Already planning our next trip back.
I really enjoyed my visit. The personal was always nice, welcoming and ready to help you. We didn’t get any tour because we like to wonder and take our time and no regrets. They had different shows throughout the day so we never got bored. We only spent there 2 hours due to our itinerary but you can easily stay there until they close. There’s a restaurant, a bar and lots of snacks available.
Tucked away deep in the desert, past the dusty roads and cactus 🏜, you'll find Old Tucson. The legendary filming site of all your favorite Westerns, where icons have created a cinematic 🎥 portfolio of American trials, tribulations, & the old West. Family friendly with putt-putt ⛳️, gold mining, a few small rides, and a train 🚂 they've balanced the aspects for history and movie buffs with bringing the kids along. Tours depicting past (& sometimes current) films happen at specific times throughout the day. John Waynes barn, the school house, old church, and saloon are all preserved and used today. Artifacts from movies and shows long past are carefully displayed, along with information about the movies. Can-can dancers preform and a shootout happens in the old west town. It's all a very sweet, family-friendly version of the Old West. There is a little gift shop on site selling cowboy hats, drinks, shot glasses, and shirts. One thing to note... the location is remote. If you have (little) people who tend to get hungry, bring snacks or even a lunch with drinks. Also, it tends to take a good bit to return to the interstate. So plan extra time to explore the lookouts and trails. Overall, it was super cute. 🪖 Entrance fees do allow for military discounts.
It was amazing 💕 I recommend planning a whole day for this place! We were delighted with the decorations and the show that the stuntmen did there! The friendly atmosphere of the old town is incredible. We enjoyed all the rides and shows to the fullest and we want to go back there again!
My family (from Minnesota) and our friend and her family (all from Ohio, randomly in town at the same time as us for a soccer tournament) thoroughly enjoyed our day at Old Tucson! With ages ranging from 2 to 60+, there was genuinely something for everyone. From things I read on Google and Reddit, I honestly went in with pretty low expectations, but any negative or neutral thing I read was disregarded shortly after our arrival. The cast members were excellent. They were engaging from the moment we walked in, they stayed in character all day long, and many of them, after meeting my daughter first thing in the morning, even remembered her name and greeted her throughout the day and as we left, making it extra special (and completely unheard of at larger theme parks - it was a weekday, so there’s a chance it also wasn’t as busy as it can get - for context, my daughter and I had a whole carousel ride to ourselves and plenty of empty seats on our train ride). One cast member even recommended a great place for our party of 11 to grab dinner (for which I’ll also be leaving a 5 star review). Our group had the most fun at the magic show, especially since 3 of us were asked to participate. I’ve seen a lot of magic shows in my day, and while this one doesn’t have the most awe-inspiring tricks, the performer was a natural comedian and really sold the tricks with exceptional narrative, banter, and quick wit. Same with the stunt show - these performers are effortless comedians and really excel at working the crowd - they may have been better at that than any similar show I’ve seen. We brought our almost 3 year old with a stroller and our friend uses a wheelchair - despite the bumps and dirt trails, most of the park felt accessible and getting around was smooth. My family will definitely be back here on some of our annual trips to visit my in-laws. As we were leaving, my daughter exclaimed, “I come back to cowboy town next year???”
What a great day visiting Old Tucson. We drove down from the Phx area for the weekend and came across this place. Enjoyed your staff, they made this experience fun. The town drunk was awesome in character. He never stopped interacting with people and kids. The train conductors were very nice to talk with, town Mayor was a very nice gentleman, and so many more. Neat place to take family or friends from out of state.
We drove over 40 minutes to come to this tourist attraction only to find out that they were closed! We were not the only ones either. Google hours are not updated at all. Conveniently, only the gift shop was open. So disappointing. It looks like it would've been a great place to visit in Tucson. The ride up is a bit gnarly. Kind of hanging off a cliff. Small and narrow roads in the middle of nowhere. Would've been totally worth it to be able to get in and take a tour. Super bummed!!
