We got reservations at the Wuksachi Lodge so we would be closer to the park and man was that great! The only negative is you are an hour drive from and restaurants in the winter beside The Peaks Restaurant (which is in the lodge). Sometimes the restaurants in the parks aren't always the best but The Peaks Restaurant was! We ate three meals a day there for two days and never had a bad experience! The service and food were both great! Also, the restaurant has an amazing view and is super clean! I'm usually not a buffet person but the breakfast buffet was crazy good! Everything was fresh and high quality! One of my favorite meals was the pasta! It is an isolated place so expect to pay more for food but I would say the prices are fair for the quality and for the location! A side note, I definitely recommend doing reservations. They’re easy to do right through Google maps app and the staff seated us right on time each meal!
Really nice restaurant located inside the park. With such a remote location it’s really impressive what they can do and the quality. My group got the pork chop, pot roast, and veggie burger. All were really delicious and filling. Some reviewers complain about the price, I thought the pricing was totally reasonable considering we are (1) in California (2) in a REMOTE national park. People need to get a reality check. Our server was really nice and friendly. He told us a few fun stories about the park. Also you cannot beat the view from the big windows!
The Peaks Restaurant in Sequoia National Park was a welcome retreat after a long day of hiking. What stood out most was the exceptional service, especially from Shane at the front. I accidentally placed my order through the kiosk instead of waiting for a table at the main restaurant. Despite the crowds of hungry and tired visitors, Shane handled everything with patience, professionalism, and genuine kindness. He helped sort out my mistake without hesitation and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food itself was decent—nothing fancy, but satisfying and hearty, especially after spending hours on the trails. The setting was the real highlight. The indoor space offers a peaceful escape from the heat, with large windows showcasing the surrounding forest. It felt relaxing and calm, with air conditioning providing much-needed relief. It’s a great place to refuel, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of the park from a comfortable seat. Overall, The Peaks Restaurant delivered a solid experience, made truly memorable by the outstanding customer service. Big thanks again to Shane for turning a stressful moment into a positive one. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re visiting the area.
We enjoyed our meal here. I would highly recommend making reservations ahead of time as the seating and servers are limited. The food was good and the view from our table was great! The selection is limited (which makes sense based on location) but still has a good amount of options.
We came here a few times during our three night stay at the lodge for breakfast and dinner. I had read the reviews and didn't have high expectations so I wasn't disappointed. Overall the food is good and if you ask to dine in it's served in proper plates but with plastic utensils. Considering how much the park cares about the environment, I found the abuse of plastic utensils very upsetting and couldn't really make sense as to why they're not using silverware. You place your order at the entrance and the food is brought to your table which I didn't mind as it clearly helps them process orders faster. Portions are not too generous and it's not cheap. I don't recommend the sandwiches which are made earlier and not fresh, the bread is very cold and in my opinion they're missing a huge opportunity with the sandwiches by not serving them in freshly baked bread. The pizza is good quality, simple but with excellent crust, clearly freshly baked! The specials we tried were good, but expensive. Breakfast options are good and it's all self service so it's quick. Considering it's the only place serving food during fall and winter in the entire park, I think it's a very good option if you know what to expect!
I had an excellent dinner at The Peaks. It was easy for me to make a reservation online while I was at my lodge down the road some. When we got there, our table was ready and was next to some windows looking out over the forest and mountains. It was an amazing view, we were happy to get such a good table, I've included pictures. We ordered the filet and the acorn squash, then had the mix berry pie for desert with General Sherman IPA. The side salads were made with spinach, grape tomatoes, shredded carrot and sliced cucumber. The salads were cold and fresh, the spinach was unblemished. After a long day on the trails, they tasted great and we scarfed them down. The filet mignon was ordered rare and came out medium rare. The flavor was excellent and I was very happy with the selection. The cherry demi-glace was rich, and dark with a slight red tinge, beautiful and tasty. The side broccoli was a touch overcooked for my taste, but was not mush, seasoned well and after the hiking the veg was welcome. The acorn squash was cooked thoroughly, not tough or hurried. It was filled with quinoa and goat cheese. This item was awesome! We split the squash and the steak and found the combination to be tasty and feel like it satisfied my body's nutritional needs. I was very happy with sharing the two dishes. Last out was the mixed berry pie. The crust was flaky and buttery, delicious. The filling was sweet and had strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, perhaps another berry too. I got it a la mode and loved my desert choice. The pie was warm and the ice cream was cold, it was beautifully presented. The service was spectacular, our server was timely, helpful and moved the dinner along. He was kind, friendly and and knew the area. He did an excellent job. Other reviews mention the expense, but I didnt find the prices to be high, especially for a restaurant with a view at the top of a beautiful national park. I found the service quality, and view to be far above my expectation for our remote location. Great job The Peaks!!! We will be sure to stop by next time we are in Sequoia National park.
This is pretty good for National Parks. If anyone expects more, please visit other National Parks and their hotel restaurant. The workers were as cheerful as they could be considering that it was Thanksgiving Day. They recommend great items. I loved the chicken Cesar salad. Vegetable Mezze Plate was amazing. If it is ever on the menu, this is a winner for me. The turkey sandwich was wonderful, too. Everything in it was so fresh and tasty. I also enjoyed the olive oil cake, so moist and flavorful. I enjoyed the nice view out the window. The dining room was majestic with high ceilings and a large fireplace. It was magical in the middle of the western Sierra. Thank you hard working crew! I left you a 20 percent tip! I hope all the visitors from other countries will read this post and tip you hard working lovely ladies! Happy Thanksgiving!
Great service and decent food. Tried their Wuksachi Burger and Pot Roast - both were quite well-done and tasty. The only thing is that you need to make a reservation for dinner - we arrived early and were lucky enough to get a table at a not very late time. It was also a good idea to get a lunch box - we liked the tuna salad sandwich.
A pleasant little bar. Yellowstone themed drinks and bison options, it is a great place to dine street a long hike in the Great Outdoors. Additionally, they offer burritos and a box lunch to go as early as 630am for those wanting to get onto the trail early.

We had dinner here one night while staying in the park and were pleasantly surprised. We have visited many national parks and eaten at many in park restaurants and they are usually all just $$$ and very mid food. We found the prices here to be fair, the food to be excellent, and the service to be very good. I would say if you are staying at the lodge it is worth coming for dinner one night. We enjoyed the trout, potroast, and pork chops. Portions were all very large and the food was fresh and well made. The soup of the day was a broccoli cheddar which was 10/10!
Food is great - not quite high-end but certainly not what you'd expect at a Lodge. The bar is a lot of fun in the evening if you can grab a seat. Staff is kept small so go with patience and enjoy your time!

This restaurant deserves a much higher rating. We ate 3 dinners and 3 breakfasts here while staying in the park. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the presentation was excellent. Can’t beat the atmosphere either. The pork chops were my favorite of the three dinners, and the trout was a close second. They have a nice breakfast buffet with lots of selections, but it is a bit pricey. To save some money we ordered off the menu. Like the dinners the breakfast portions are enormous. Two people could easily share the Eggs Benedict, and if you think the sequoias are huge, wait until you see the size of the breakfast burritos.
Erich was nice though we were there to celebrate a birthday. You'd think after spending $155 for a table of 4 that they'd do something. Good pork chops and generous portion of brussel sprouts. The wine was a bit pricey.
Came for breakfast and dinner. Re: breakfast - “continental” (just fruit, pastry and coffee) is not a bad deal compared to full buffet. And the “continental” is actually buffet-style (unlimited food). Re: dinner - The food was ok - Not bad. Ordered salads, chicken Marsala, pork chop and chicken wings. The chicken wings won. lol. Their grilled chicken is used in various dishes (including chicken Marsala). The photo looks “sad” but it’s less sad than you think when you actually eat it. The pork chop came not fully cooked :(, but the waiter replaced it with another dish of our choice and took it off the bill. The waiter was not super efficient and observant (eg. another table was waiting to place order and I was waving my hand to ask for help, but he was just chatting with another table for quite some time…). He was pleasant when he is dealing with us though. I also felt they are understaffed. So I wouldn’t call the service is bad.
While visiting Sequoia National Park, dining options were limited, so I tried Peaks Restaurant. The experience was just okay. The broccoli was undercooked and tasted raw, and the rice was also not fully cooked. However, the service was good, which made the visit a bit better.

The food is expensive but the prices are understandable considering the high elevation. Some issues: -Most of the onion soup bowl was filled with bread. -The grilled chicken sandwich tasted plain and dry and they forgot to bring out the fruit cup that came with it. -They could not add any toppings to the pizza (contrary to the menu). -You must decide the tip before beginning your meal. Nevertheless, the bathroom was clean and modern, the waiters were accommodating, and the pizza itself was perfect.
Conveniently located inside Sequoia National Park, I found this restaurant to be just "okay." The ambiance and service was friendly, however I was disappointed with the food. It was edible, but could have been much better. We ordered the following: 1. Chicken Pot Pie - which I found lacking a bit on salt and the sauce was not creamy. My daughter, who also ordered it came to the same conclusion. 2. The Ribeye Steak - cooked to medium rare was nicely seasoned and tender. I found the Chilli which was included, to be of a tiny portion. Would have wanted it to be of a slightly bigger portion. 3. Personal Pan Pizza - it's about 10" and the kids liked it.
There's only one restaurant in the area, unless you're willing to drive close to one hour to get down to lower ground. The host is nice and the wait staffs are attentive. However, not a lot of items on the menu and the price per entrée is a bit on the higher side. Also, lots of times the restaurant run out of more than one thing on the menu. Would suggest to bring cookware and food for few easy prepare meals if staying at the lodge to save time from waiting and money.

Food was overhyped and pretty basic. It was clearly made well in advance (my salad and entree both came out within 5 minutes of ordering) and thus was a little dry and bland. Lodge is nice, but the price adder for the view wasn't really worth it. I'd rather have paid 25% more and had quality food to match the view.

The restaurant seemed ok at first, however on the last day, I ordered the cheese and egg ciabatta, and it came pretty cold and stale looking, and when I turned it over, it had mould on it. For dinner, I ordered a salad with chicken, but it came without, and I asked the waiter for some more water and he didn’t come back for another 15 minutes. I wouldn’t really like to come back here.

Avoid if possible. Came here late may 2022 at about 7:30 pm. The place looked great outside and inside, and was very clean. But don't be fooled by the appearance because the food was subpar. We spent 18 dollars on the meat lasagna that was incredibly small and just reheated, 21$ on the barely warm orange glazed chicken that was dry and tough on the inside, and 13$ on the alpine italian sandwich was premade and sitting in a fridge. For the amount we paid, we expected better.
