What a cute and quiet little hotel and restaurant! Because it’s in the park, you will need to make a reservation if you’re not staying there OR not coming from the ruins. They parked our car by valet and we had an absolutely amazing lazy lunch! We even met a very friendly little Coati that tried to steal our food, but he was easy to dissuade and harmless. After a full lunch and two double shot Pina Coladas, we seemingly fell asleep at our table with our toes in the sand. Our waiter, Miguel, was an absolutely sweetheart and told us to take a sun bed and relax for as long as we wanted; and we did just that! Food was yummy, location was perfect and lowkey and Miguel was fast, kind and on top of everything!

Beautiful location right on the edge of the water. The Kukulkan cocktail was the best drink I've ever had. The We came back the next morning for breakfast and had the enchiladas and breakfast cassert. The enchiladas were pretty good, but the casserole was a pleasant surprise for us. Delicious, fresh. They had umbrellas, but we sat behind a palm tree to block the sun since it was lower. Great views!

Definitely the best place we ate at in Tulum and we had some great food on every corner of this little cute town. Octopus is an absolute must and barbacoa tacos beat any other we tried from food carts to fancy spots. Think of sitting on the cliff of the ocean, breating the fresh air under the palm trees and having freshly made "grandma cooking" served by most humble, warm and sweet people who will always go and extra step to make you feel welcomed. Special thanks to Jose who took a great care of us and made us feel like we are among family. Definitely a place to bookmark and Definitely come back more then once. Grateful job guys! Big respect to what you do at Casa Maria!

We stayed there and dined a couple of times. Location is convenient and the view is perfect. Breakfast was truly great and we love all the options we tried. Can't tell the same about dinner. It was pretty average and not much to choose from.

Enjoyed my visit at Casa Maria so much I didn’t want to leave. 😅 My server Emmanuel was top-tier and exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t thank him enough for a nice calm and relaxing evening. The food was really good and the drinks were tasteful. Beachfront view 10/10 💗 I recommend and will return.

Definitely recommend this place. The service gets busy as everyone wants a spot by the sea, but it's worth waiting and our dedicated waiter really did its best to serve us swiftly. The food was delicious and so were the cocktails. The location and ambiance is unbeatable.

We ate breakfast at Casa Maria and it was soooo good! Reasonably priced too for the quality, atmosphere was great, right on the water, feet in the sand, and of course delicious food. We ordered the spinach goat cheese toast with an egg, the omelet, a fruit plate and a beet juice…such a perfect meal for what we were craving. Will definitely be going back.

Dining with our feet in the sand, the sound of the waves in the background, and the scent of freshly grilled fish in the air—this place is pure paradise! The atmosphere is unbeatable, offering a truly magical beachfront experience. The grilled fish was out of this world—perfectly cooked, incredibly fresh, and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a reminder of just how amazing fresh seafood can be. The rest of the food was equally fantastic, making it a meal to remember. A special shoutout to Emanuel, who provided service that went above and beyond. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed, creating a warm and welcoming experience. We were dining with a 6-year-old, and the staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring everyone had a great time. If you’re looking for delicious food, an unbeatable setting, and top-tier service, this is the place to be! Highly recommended!

We recently stayed at Hotel Diamante K which housed Casa Maria Mexican Grill. The restaurant is nestled right on the beach and surrounded by a rocky shoreline which is stunning. The staff working there is incredibly friendly helpful. Emmanuel hosted us for most of our meals and he always went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, well fed and always had a cold cerveza in hand. Casa Maria is definitely a place you need to check out while in Tulum. Live music, great atmosphere, great food, great people, great times!

Super nice location and amazing view on the sea outside. We had dinner with really tasty and well cooked food. The only bad thing was lot of mosquito outside but the staff use smoke to make them go.

We’ve been to this restaurant three times—twice for dinner and once for breakfast, as well as during our visit last year. The place has a great atmosphere, the service is good, and the food is mostly delicious. However, we do have our favorites. The fajitas are rather bland, and the pizza is just average. On the other hand, the Aztec soup and lime soup are excellent, especially the Aztec one. The sweet potatoes, unfortunately, were terrible—the worst I’ve ever had. They were soft, warm, and more like overcooked mush than roasted. The calamari were good, though. For breakfast, I tried the KALE toast, which I can also recommend, although it’s quite pricey for the portion size and comes with just one egg. It’s also worth mentioning the live music. From 8 to 9 PM, there’s a musician who does amazing things with a looper. It’s very pleasant to listen to and incredibly relaxing.

Both the food and the atmosphere were great. I really enjoyed the live music, and the sea view added a nice touch to the ambiance. As for the food, the tuna tacos were truly amazing, and I also really liked the octopus. I can’t say the same for the pizza though the shrimp pizza was a bit too sweet for my taste.

Emanuel gave great service (twice!) and attended to everything we needed. He even gave great service during a storm that we had to wait out! We also loved the vegan poblano dish and the shrimp tacos 😋

We dined at Restaurant Casa Maria and we were impressed by both the authentic flavors and the inviting atmosphere. The standout of the evening was Emmanuel, our waiter. 🥰 His warm demeanor, spot-on recommendations, and attentive service made the meal truly exceptional. For a 5-star dining experience, be sure to ask for Emmanuel!

Casa Maria is located in the national park and such a cute beachfront spot. It’s super chill, right on the ocean, and the food and drinks were amazing. Highly recommend the octopus.

Hidden gem tucked away in Tulum. The food and view was amazing. It feels like you’re on a private beach and the hotel where it’s located allowed us to use the amenities as well. The staff was really accommodating and welcoming. It’s worth noting that unless you’re staying at a hotel near by it’s hard to get here. We took a taxi and realized that we would not be able to get through the toll without a reservation. Make sure you either make a reservation if you’re driving or go through the national park, there are golf carts and bikes in the national park once you’re in.

I have nothing negative to say. Jesus was such a great server and we have not had a ton of luck with service this trip so it was refreshing. He was nice, charismatic and overall great. Food was delicious and reasonably priced for the quality and portions. Lovely atmosphere and safe from the wind.

What a cool place! Great atmosphere and super friendly service. Great food with amazing views! If you are in the park this is a must visit place to get a meal or just a drink and chill.

I wish I got here sooner. First of June has a lot of dead seaweed piling up, so we couldn’t access their private beach. But overall- a great stay and very friendly staff. Really good food, atmosphere where you can literally put your toes in the sand and feel the sea spray as you are dining. It is a bit pricey, but very worth it.

So good we went back three times during our stay in Tulum. This restaurant was absolutely everything you could want from a tropical location. The beach front tables and views were absolute heaven. Food was 10/10 and the service was astonishing. Jesus and Juan helped us each time we went for dinner, they made the experience that much better with their excellent customer service.

Fantastic location, nice drinks, slow stuff, food looks 10/10 but tastes 6/10

Our favorite dinner in Tulum. What a great location, sitting on the beach under the stars. The food was great, the service was great, the drinks were OK but left room for improvement, but didn’t bring the score down for the location. After 6:00 PM you may need proof of reservations to enter the park to get there. We were stop by national guard but were able to easily get a reservation.

This was our best dinner in Tulum during our 6 night stay. The restaurant faces the ocean, the setting is quiet and beautiful. Our family was sat outside at a large table. The server Emmanuel was very attentive to our needs and requests. I would easily recommend making a reservation.

The food and atmosphere were incredible! Everyday is like living in paradise! Shout out to the employees like Alex, Jose, and so many more who made it such a special experience!

This is my favorite place to eat! We landed upon it for lunch and went back for dinner the next night! Quite a few gluten and dairy free options. They have delicious drinks- mimosas were perfect (Fresh squeezed orange juice). The chipotle honey shrimp tacos are out of this world! Fresh pickled red onion and pickles. The shrimp are HUGE! Nothing beats this setting- literally right on the beach! I can’t wait to go back to Tulum to eat here! Also, this place is a boutique hotel with really cute cabanas but with shared outdoor bathrooms. It’s a vibe! Go check it out. No reservation required but prob good to call ahead if you want beach side tables.

We were looking for a place where we could enjoy the beach, good food and drinks without being a beach club. And we arrived at Casa Maria! Wow! Spectacular service thanks to Jhony and Mike. (We sat outside and they would go out every few min to make sure we where good and didn’t need anything else. Drinks where really good, food was delicious. Totally recommend the ceviche 😍 Definitely will go back 🙌🏻

We were served by Emanuel and his team. They were very courteous, attentive and friendly and Emanuel always has a smile on his lips. The location directly on the beach is breathtakingly beautiful. And last but not least, the food: everything is freshly prepared and tastes excellent. Not to be forgotten is the hot sauce that Emanuel recommended to us, which was really the best we have been able to try on our trip so far.

We booked the romantic dinner at Casa Maria and our waiter was Jose. He provided a fantastic dinner, checked in on us just at the right times without going overboard, and made sure the atmosphere was private, relaxed, and romantic for us. Emmanuel checked on us and introduced himself. He made sure all was up to our standards. We had a three course meal, the white wine, and even dessert! Then we just relaxed while gazing at the stars, enjoying the sound of the waves and the wonderful breeze. The experience was phenomenal! GRACIAS JOSE!

Such a lovely vibe and atmosphere. The service was great. Our servers Jhonu & Jose were attentive and entertaining. Marielle was very friendly and information. The food was delicious. The appetizers were delicious- we had the shrimp dumplings (dipping sauce was unreal), ceviche mixto & octopus. All delicious. Our mains were great too, but we were full so took a lot of it home with us. Beautiful location- so peaceful hearing the ocean in the background. Free parking is a huge plus! Would definitely come back again

Absolutely beautiful restaurant with an incredible view, we dined outside by the ocean and it was stunning and relaxing. Service was excellent and the food was even better. We had the burger and pizza and it was delicious! Absolutely recommend for a romantic night out.

Recommend this chilled beach restaurant with tasty food (vegan options big bonus) and the friendly staff. Really comfy chairs to enjoy the view with the feed in the sand. Try the Aztec soup. Serving ritual is super nice and it comes with fresh avo!

Had a very nice lunch at Casa Maria today. Our server, Alberto, was super friendly and really helpful. My daughter wanted the fajitas but doesn't particularly like beef, so we asked if they could do chicken, even though it wasn't on the menu. Alberto was only too happy to check with the kitchen and my daughter was really pleased they said they could do this. The food overall was excellent and the passion fruit margaritas were very good. We sat outside overlooking the sea in a small beach area just outside the restaurant. Overall the food, the drinks, and the service was excellent. We hope to get a chance to go back soon.

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant inside the Jaguar Park in Tulum. It was the only restaurant in the reserve with consistently positive reviews, and we quickly understood why. The service was perfect—staff were very kind and attentive, and they fully understood and accommodated one guest’s allergy to milk and dairy products. The menu includes vegan options, which provided a great alternative for dessert that was both creative and delicious. We dined here two evenings in a row, and each time the atmosphere was beautiful, with views reaching the sea, and the food was incredibly fresh. Overall, this restaurant exceeded our expectations and is highly recommended.

The fish tacos and the coconut shrimps were incredible! Delicious and super filling. They have great juice mixes as well. When we came in slightly after the peak of dinner (around 9pm) it seemed like we just missed a live performance. Emanuel our waiter was friendly, attentive and lovely, and had perfect English. Thank you Emanuel!

Our stay at Daimantek was amazing. The food and people at Casa Maria was amazing. Dioniso, Emmanuel, Carlos Leo ,Fredy, and Jose made our experience wonderful. They made us laugh and have a great time.We actually felt like we had some new friends. Thanks for the great time.

The food is okay, but the view, vibe and place is amazing. Highly recommend coming here for chilling on the beach while having a beer and do some swimming in between. You can use the facilities of the hotel, including swimming pool. If you have kids, it is great too.

The food and service were average. During our visit we found other locations to have better food and service.

K

Wonderful service from Emanuel and Marcos. This restaurant has a great view and amazing staff that are extremely helpful. I wish I could give the restaurant 5 stars but the food was very dry and overcooked. The drinks were great and so was the complimentary snickers desert they made for us so I would suggest coming for drinks and deserts and having dinner elsewhere. We ordered the octopus and chicken. Also it is good to note that parking costs 200 pesos.

The views are breathtaking! We went just before sunset so we could enjoy the sunset. This restaurant is on an “exclusive” side of Tulum. lol not sure why it was so exclusive because the seaweed is the same as everywhere else. Service was good. My sister and I were the only black girls/ people there and everyone stared constantly.. and I do mean CONSTANTLY not sure why honestly. Maybe we were overdressed 🤷🏾‍♀️ Felt like a fish out of water. Weird. Oh, the salmon was blah. The Kale was smothered in a super overwhelmingly sweet sauce. Went to get some real food after. Really pretty tho.

Casa Maria, is situated very close to the beach and is one of the good place to go to inside of Tulum National Forest. Food & Drinks were good. If you are a large party or a party of 2, make a reservation since they can get real busy. You can get there on bicycle if you are staying inside the Tulum National Park or can walk through the beach, but if you are coming from outside, you will get stopped by military and you have to get a band to entry into the National Park (each band costs around 60pesos per person per day).

Came to this location on a visit to Tulum. This is a beautiful location with a great ambiance, especially in the evening. The service is warm and welcoming. Carlos was my server and he was great. The food was good but the proteins were meh. The fish was dry and the picanha was a bit dry and overcooked. The fish tacos were delicious though. Drinks were very well done. Overall a good experience.

This spot was next to our hotel, so we tried it on our last night in Tulum. We got a table on the beach, which was the best part of the experience. It was really lovely to have dinner overlooking the water with string lights and palm trees in the background, toes in the sand. We had pizza, lobster and steak. The pizza surprisingly was the best part. The steak was just alright, nothing special, and the lobster was overcooked. I also had two margaritas which were pretty tasty. For $250 it was a rather expensive meal for what we received. Service was alright, but you pay for the vibe here. The food at both Mezzanine and Mi Amor on either side of this spot was more better for similar or less price (both also overlooking the ocean).

We went to Casa Maria for dinner on our first night at Tulum, the food was good, the staff was really sweet and nice. The view of the sea was lovely and overall have a good sea vibe. However the patio furniture was wet and me and my friend got our cloths got wet.

L

Carlos the waiter is a fantastic guy. He brings his Acapulco vibes amazingly. The food is nothing special, expensive as usual. $200 pesos por parking. Be prepared to pay that.

K
Kiki Berg

200 pesos just to park, and unfortunately the food didn’t justify it. The only highlight was our server, Emmanuel. He was great and did his best to fix things. The fried calamari was completely inedible. Tough, rubbery, and tasted reheated. I couldn’t finish it. The tacos were okay but very greasy and runny. Emmanuel swapped the calamari for guacamole, which I appreciated, but it was the same price and still not worth it. The view is decent, though the sargassum is heavy right now. I was surprised by the high ratings because my experience didn’t reflect that. Maybe it was an off day, but I left disappointed and didn’t feel great afterward...stomach wise. Wouldn’t return for the food.

J
J Li

Tacos were average. Ceviche was very disappointing- so acidic I couldn’t even eat it. It’s a lovely location right by the water but I wouldn’t come here again for food.

K
Kevin John McGuire

The ambience is amazing surely! Here’s a review based on your feedback: The food was decent, but the service was disappointing. We waited an unusually long time for our meals, and the staff barely spoke any English, making communication difficult. To top it off, I was rudely confronted for leaving a small tip (10%), even though the prices were already quite high and the service not good. Overall, not a great experience.
