Hands down best orange chicken around. Also the Hunan chicken was fire. First time coming in and I was blown away. Will definitely be coming back.

My family and I have been going here since forever and I’ve tried many Chinese foods and no one beats golden china. You will not find a better Chinese restaurant in the 209!!!!

Clean, comfortable, quiet & a wide ranging menu. I am from out of town & was passing through Turlock, this excellent place was open late, so that guided my choice along with other reviews. I'm super happy I stopped. My Egg Rolls were crisp & tasty, as was my entrée of Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. If I am in the area, I will gladly eat here again.

We order to go from Golden China 1 time a month and also dine . I like how fast they bring the food and it is very hot and delicious. They have good prices and good customer service I will recommend it .

I’m vegetarian and their vegetarian option are really tasty they have one of the best vegetable chow mein! Prices are reasonable not too pricy. The ladies are always so sweet and attentive. The food has a great smoky flavor.

My parents love this place and I just went with them for my second time. The food was very hot when it came to us and looked fresh. It had good flavor too. It looked like real Chinese food and not something that was frozen and microwaved. We ordered a number 1, 2, and 4 and my parents asked for a couple changes on theirs with no problem. They served us huge portions and I would have taken mine home but I live out of town. Yes, the place could use some remodeling but it looked clean. They were very nice people and had good service. We came in on a Tuesday afternoon, so it wasn't too full. I'm not sure why others had complaints about this place. I would definitely come again.

The Golden China Restaurant has a lot of 5 star reviews so we decided to stop there on our way back from Lake Topaz. We had a mixed experience. The easy part is cleanliness which I rated as 5 star under 'Atmosphere'. Golden China is as clean as restaurant can be. Both bathrooms were operating table spotless on a busy Sunday afternoon. Our expectations for the food may have been too high from the previous reviews. It's standard Chinese-American food. I am a fan of this style of cuisine, but I am not sure how you make it '5 Star'. I had Seafood Chow Fun. (This was not on their menu, but they were happy to make it when I requested it.) It was good (pictured). I would have liked a few more scallops, but I always want more scallops. Price for 2 with 1 beer was $45.15 after tax. I would eat at the Golden China again, but I would not drive out of my way to do so.

Appetisers here are amazing, especially the fried prawns. Portion sizes are also very generous. Chow mein has that delicious wok-char flavour, so tasty! Sweet & sour pork was a little too sweet for my liking but still yummy. Unfortunately the roast duck was way over cooked and very dry. Golden China beef a bit tasteless and beef was a bit stringy/gristly.

We had the family for 2 which included Won Ton soup, fried shrimp, sweet and sour pork, chow mein and pork fried rice. Our meal was good. We'll be back!

Although this restaurant is very clean and they have very good customer service, I rarely order the garlic chicken. It shouldn’t be called garlic chicken since there’s no chicken in it. 90% of it is deep-fried chicken skin with garlic sauce on it. It’s so frustrating. I don’t like to drive all the way to Modesto for my Chinese food. I ordered this just to see if it has changed. It’s still the same. Very little chicken, but tons of fat and skin deep-fried. I wish someone would talk to the owner and change this process of making spicy garlic chicken.
