I was amazed at how fresh and tender and juicy the chicken was! These people really know what they're doing. And the mashed potatoes and gravies are wonderful. The mac and cheese is so good you got to have seconds!

I've always loved EPL. Their marinated grilled chicken is a fantastic and healthy alternative to other fast food options. Their selection of side dishes should please just about anyone. Located near Home Depot, this location can get busy. Their seating is comfortable and plentiful, the drive thru moves relatively quickly. Parking can get a but difficult at peak times as they share the lot with another fast food restaurant.

Fantastic! As with most other EPL, this one has great food. Yummy chicken and sides as well. Service is timely. Staff is nice and helpful. The place is super clean with easily accessible restrooms. There’s also a cute bell to ring when you’re done munching and crunching. My wife complimented their music as well. Definitely a 5 star experience and highly recommended.

Update 7/28/24 3pm I want to make sure Israel is recognized because he leads the team by example. He was here, there and everywhere at the restaurant taking care of things. He is fast and efficient. He has a great smile, proper management style and awesome attitude towards the clients and his team. I live at the other end of Irvine, but I will make it a point to purchase there because of their great customer service. Last, but not least, Angelica also with a nice personality and wonderful attitude provided me with great service. This was after I decided to come back and buy more items on the same visit, today. 7/28/24 12:15pm Israel and Idalia provided me with great customer service. They resolved a little issue I had with a drive thru order, but both took care of it excellent.

A clean and chill place to get some lunch with friends or family. I go in often because the employees are always laughing and making the place inviting. I’ve seen lots of people come and go but this team is very happy and it makes customers happy. The chicken breast is juicy and the Cole slaw is the best!

Always good food and service at this location. Come here often and are always great. They just finished a renovation of the dining area and patio door additional seating. The staff keep the location clean and always have someone working the dining area to clean up after past guests to be ready for the next. Price to quantity and quality of the food is competitive and keep an eye on the paper for their coupons that are good for a month or two and you only need to show it so you can keep using again and again each visit until expires so an excellent way to save in the process, and their coupons are actually good.

My coworkers and I went to this restaurant for lunch today and we had a chance to meet Facundo Lopez, Service Expert extraordinaire. ❤️ He is a very sweet man who made sure we were comfortable during our meal. He checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. He kept himself busy sweeping and straightening the restaurant and seemed to take great pride in his work. We had a lovely time, thanks to Facundo. He is an asset to your restaurant.

I've never been to a El Pollo Loco where all the staff greeted you, and was happy to serve! The cashier offered us a better deal for our money. That was the cherry on top. This location is (without question) the best El Pollo Loco in the area. The service here is impeccable, the place is always clean, all the staff are very friendly, and the food is exceptional for the price you pay. It is my favorite place to go to when I need a quick and easy lunch.

I would like to say that this El Pollo Loco is my favorite one. I have been to this Pollo loco since I can remember with my family. They have delicious chicken and all the food is always hot. I would like to thank Esperanza for always attending so wonderfully. She is very kind and always smiling which makes the visit very welcoming. There is Oscar and Fernando who cook the chicken to perfection. They don’t just cook there chicken they please the customers too, in my experience always giving me juicy cooked chicken. Or as I say “ like it looks in the picture”, there are so many amazing people that make every experience wanting me to come back, that I can’t name them all. I would like to thank every single one who works there: the cooks, cashiers, the ladies making my burritos, to the gentlemen in the back making food, the the ladies who clean the restaurant very nicely, and the managers. I have nothing but respect for this restaurant.

I don't understand all the negative reviews. Went in today during lunch time and had a great experience. We ordered the 12piece family meal and everything was hot and delicious. The cashier Jared was a pleasure he helped us out a lot also gave us a discount for our beverages. Will definitely go back.

This is probably one of the best location which offers quickest service! They have a all-round menu with good selection of salads too. Do not forget to get salsa! I was surprised that restaurant manager is interacting with the customers and assisting during busy hours, handing out coupons. I haven't waited more than 5 mins to pickup my orders even in peak hour! 5 stars for sure.

Best dinner I've had in a while. A got a burrito and my wife got the quesadilla. Basically the same thing except in different shapes. Food was ready very quickly and was fresh and delicious. The churros were also hot and fresh. Everything was clean. Make sure to try the avocado salsa. I've never had such good salsa before!

One of the best El Pollo loco restaurant. This location is super clean with friendly caring staff. The restrooms are clean and maintained regularly. Plenty of free self parking. I know that it's a franchise but the food actually seems to taste better here. For sure the food is hotter. Probably because there's more customers so they have to keep the grill running. There's plenty of indoor seating. There are also booth seating. There's a nice outdoor patio.

I had an unfortunate experience when I mistakenly ordered a double chicken avocado salad instead of a double chicken tostada salad. After calling the restaurant, I realized my mistake. Sandra, one of the agents, was incredibly kind and understanding. She assured me that I had made a mistake and offered to make the tostada salad for me at no extra charge. I was so grateful for her assistance and would highly recommend this location, especially Sandra.

I always get the wing lover combo with a small salad and Mac and cheese. It usually comes with 3-4 wings depending on their size. Salad is always fresh and their cilantro dressing is yummy 😋

Drive through gives me an incorrect order 50% of the time. Only go inside to get your order. The food is like any other store, good food at reasonable prices. Coupons always help to make it more affordable.

One if the few franchises which offer kinda healthy food. No idea where the chicken come from and how they live once alive. The flavor is fine and you can order without skin [or peel it off] when on a diet. Rice is healthy and tasty too. Good for family dinners on the go.

This is my local El Pollo Loco and I get drive-thru takeout from here more often than I'd care to admit. They recently renovated a bit and it looks much nicer than before. The staff is always friendly and I very rarely have any issues with my order which is good and not always a reality with fast food drive-thrus.

Excellent service, very quick and polite. I took off one star because I asked for no cilantro in my fajita burrito but got extra cilantro in it instead. I was already home when I found out and didn't want to make a trip back to the store. Mistakes happen but cilantro is a huge pain to remove.

I come here to eat when I want to listen to 50~60's rock music. Yes, at a Mexican bbq chicken restaurant. Chickens are good, and servers are great. Salsa Verde and Rojo are good, very authentic.

First time coming to this location in Tustin. I was very pleased with the excellent service, and fast service. I was absolutely please with the gentleman by the name of Kevin he was extremely kind. Pollo Loco made an excellent choice in hiring him to be apart of their team. Big thumbs up to Kevin and the rest of the staff!!!!!

Food: 10/10 Food tasted as expected, chicken not burned( would like a bit more chicken but for the $ it’s ok). Nothing wrong with the food and will definitely return if in the area.. Service/ Atmosphere: 9/10 Service was great but not excellent. I was greeted upon entering, which makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Would of been a 10 but they didn’t have Guacamole Salsa (what?? ... that’s one of their main salsas)... Other than that, Staff was very attentive and helpful. Who ever is in charge of ordering and restocking😴missed it I think.., but could of been a one off, so will see on next visit.. Restrooms: 9/10 They were (clean?) not a 10 but at least not smelly, no paper or any trash on floors as other fast food chains...

I ordered a 3 piece (2 thighs and a leg) and it was dry! The service was good and I didn't have to wait long, which was the saving grace; otherwise I would've given two stars.

The way the counter is set up, location of drink station and outdoor tables is really poor-- people with full trays pushing past those waiting in line. Service was quick and pleasant, though.

Messed up my order and food not good

Food used to be better, chicken were bigger and the salsa were almost unlimited. Those were the days...

Food was mostly grear, but I got home and had no salsas- as well as a chicken wing that absolutely miniscule with a sliver of meat on it. I asked the guy working if I could get salsa and hot sauce and he looked me dead in the eyes and said they were. Just a bit annoyed that the dude either lied or outright didn't care enough to check.

It is difficult to to get exactly what U order @ times. I ordered Chicken Nachos and asked to have chips on the side (otherwise by the time I am ready to eat, chips will be all suggy), it did not happen. No salsa, no napkins. They R busy @ lunch time but not extremely busy.

I’ve been getting the double chicken tostada and they give me the amount as the regular and I pay extra for the double so it’s a rip off so don’t get the double tostada because they barely give you any chicken .

Until recently this place.how now gone on my list of resturants i will never eat at the el pollo loco next to my.house always gets the order wrong the chicken is dry and when i call to complain the nite manager rosalva did not believe what i was saying and insulted me by saying she would take 10% off my next meal when the chicken was completely unedable and dry i futhered my complaint to corporate as well. Ive been eating here for years and had never had this issue the staff has gone way downhill i will not be eating here again

This location gives El Pollo Locos a bad name. They got my order wrong and the tamales were dry and stale like they had been microwaved. Also the hand soap dispenser in the bathroom and the hand sanitizer dispenser by the door were both empty....

Good chicken but El Pollo Loco has got to be the slowest fast food I can think of. I eat at various El Pollo restaurants about once a week. Slow moving lines to order have become the norm. It usually takes 15-20 minutes from the time you walk in the door to get your food.

I used the app when the drive thru was empty and they made me do circles around the drive thru telling me my food wasnt ready and to go around again. Other customers that arrived after me got their food from the drive thru; why cant they just make it when I tell them I arrived? Food was alright, but it feels stupid to use the app here.

Been here a few times as I work nearby and I probably won’t be back. Looking for another location. I always order the chicken avocado burrito and the way they make it is mostly beans and chicken. The other ingredients are barely there which makes for a flavorless burrito. I end up dumping salsa on it to make up for the lack of flavor. This is very unacceptable considering the price of the burrito at $12. There should definitely be a better balance.

Almost every time I make it a to go order something is missing. Today, my salad was missing. I called and explained that, and asked if they could deliver it since that was going to be my lunch and I was already back home. I spoke to the manager who said she can get me another salad if I come back, but she cannot get it delivered. I’m not going to drive back again while my family is having lunch because of a mistake you made. You need to do better.

No complaints for the food. Just this location give you "surprises" once a while. I ordered online with the new carnitas tostada but when I picked it up it is chicken tostada, they just said we don't have carnitas that's it. Fine. Then later I found the chip is undercooked, it actually happened more than once. Sometimes the online order can take very long to get ready to pickup, so now I usually order way ahead so I don't have to wait in the store so long.

On 6/4/21 I ordered 8 pc. Chicken mix to go from the branch off jamboree road in Irvine. Specifically ask for it to be juicy, not dry. When first I was call to pick it up, I saw it was burned. I asked them to replace the burned ones. Well, they just removed the burnt skin, and hid the dry hard drumsticks & thighs in the bottom. I brought it home and it was absolutely the driest , burned, worst, pieces of chickens I ever bought from any El Pollo Loco I ever bought. I though half of it out. Not only they don't know how to cook chicken but they are also most CROOKED El Pollo Loco employees I ever delt with.

Where do I start? Training is needed for the staff. . The staff does not know the menu. Everytime I ask for the double avocado burrito, I am told they don't carry that here or they do not know what I am talking about. It is on the menu! I have to actively remind them they carry it. I once asked for a vegetarian burrito and got a keto burrito with chicken. I had to go back in line to only be told I asked for keto and not vegetarian. What? They even got my water order wrong . I was given Sprite ! What is going on???

Last 3 visits have been disappointing. Today’s experience was the final straw, not going back. Staff was limited English speaking or pretended to be. My take out order missing items that I paid for plus no napkins or utensils. Of course, was all the way home by the time I noticed.

Bro the lady working there is so messed up! My bfs parents witnessed her being mean to the new guy & once they left I also saw her being really disrespectful to him if your so mad about how stuffs done do it yourself not everyone learns at a fast pace! Funny thing is she’s the one that always forgets the beans and chips in our family combo!!!

Worst El Pollo Loco location by far. I go the EPL all the time but when I go to this location I know they will get the order wrong. They are bad at taking orders and making them accurately. Things they have done so far include giving me a salad instead of a tostada salad, forgetting the dressing on salads, giving the wrong tostada salad, and consistently burning the chicken. I like EPL but I really don't like going to this location. I should add that it doesn't matter if I go through the drive-thru or go inside. Oh, and the drive-thru is slow because they never ask people to pull forward when their order is delayed, thereby holding up the whole line.

Dude legit I ordered the double chicken bowl and they gave me the skimpiest serving of chicken. It says online its 70g worth of protein but I swear dude it was barely even 30g IF IM LUCKY. Paid $11 for some mid tasting food, go grab some wings at Fresh Brothers this place SUCKS.

Sandra was rude and messed our charged 2 extra sour creams, an extra meal, and charged 4 extra drinks. It came out to almost 80 dollars for 1 adult and 3 children meals. Made get out of the drive through said she could not do a return unless I entered the Pollo Loco. Then she charged me twice and then said I'll refund you I haven't seen a refunds.

Service really gone down. I ordered a 2 piece meal and asked one be substituted as a thigh. Both the associate and manager said No and said they would have to charge me extra. It's not like I ordered 20 and wanted them all changed or was asking for a chicken breast. I go to this place almost every week and was shocked about their service.

I come to this el pollo loco at least once a week. They are so inconsistent. They don’t know the difference from using different parts of the bird. Leg meat does not belong in quesadillas! And then the next week leg meat does not belong in tacos! Then you say something they fix it and then it goes right back to scraps of chicken making a meal. The queso is usually burnt it’s very rare to get good queso. If you want messed up food go here. I asked the dive thru guy if there was a fork in my bag he said yes.. I drive away no fork. This is expensive fast food get it right.

This location is considerably more expensive than the two close locations we frequent. The Shredded Chicken Quesadilla combo is 50% more. And our nachos were carelessly thrown together. An absolute mess. When we asked the associate if he could fix it, he just stared at us. Won't be coming back to this overpriced and negligent EPL.

They forgot to pack my son’s quesadilla in the bag and then refused to refund us without coming in. The manager also hung up on me. We had an extremely poor experience with this location today, and I’m going to report this to corporate. The manager working at this location, Today on July 13, should be written up.

Just be polite and professional. I’m certain that’s part of their training. My son was waiting inside for 30 minutes for order. I went inside and order was sitting on counter for pick-up. Unfortunately, I had to deal with Sandra again, which was very unpleasant. Destiny gave us our drink, and she was the SWEETEST and most polite person! Overall, I will not visit the El Camino Real location in Tustin, Ca again.

We got 5 meals. They only gave us 2 small bags of chips, and two sides of tortillas. When we asked for our 5th side of chips the lady got defensive and said our order didn’t come with it. Even though we told her it was 5 meals we ordered. Also the classic chicken burritos had two tiny pieces of chicken, so greedy. Luckily we didn’t have the energy to argue with them so we just let it be.
