Opinions de Cultivo Ukiah
Cultivo has redefined the art of dining with a thoughtful approach to both food and service, and our recent experience there was nothing short of remarkable. The star of the evening was their “Funghi, Part IV” pizza, a masterpiece that left me utterly speechless. Every bite was an explosion of truffle, with perfectly roasted mushrooms, a delicate balance of creamy and earthy flavors, and a crust that was both light and satisfyingly crisp. It wasn’t just a meal; it was an event—an unforgettable culinary journey. My wife opted for the French Onion Soup, which was equally extraordinary. The rich, savory broth was layered with caramelized onions and topped with a perfectly golden, bubbly layer of cheese. Each spoonful was a comforting reminder of how elevated simple dishes can be in the hands of a skilled kitchen. The service at Cultivo was equally impeccable. Our waitress was both knowledgeable and genuinely friendly, guiding us through the menu with enthusiasm and insight. Every interaction felt warm and intentional, elevating the entire experience. Cultivo isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a destination for anyone who truly appreciates exceptional food, thoughtful service, and the artistry of a meal done right. We can’t wait to return.
We enjoyed our visit to Cultivo. Beautiful setting , attentive staff and good food. We had the fungi pizza and the buffalo cauliflower as an appetizer.
Absolutely incredible! The food was beyond phenomenal. Service impeccable. We had the Brussels sprouts that had an amazing sauce, the French onion soup was so good and the mushroom pizza was to die for. They also cater. Highly recommend. We will return.
I was passing through Ukiah and this place was recommended to me. The fried cheese curds were amazing, and the honey mustard dipping sauce was delicious. We had a happy hour wedge salad that was a good size, only lacking bacon. The pizza was fantastic. The wood-fired crust was really flavorful. I wish I could have tried all the pizzas! The ingredients were really fresh. Our server was friendly and attentive. I'd definitely go back.
The very best service, amazing food, great atmosphere Definitely will be back when I town 💕‼️
This is an amazing little restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere was nice. Perfect our date night! Al pastor pizza was delicious, and the mustard dip with the cheese curds was spicy and delicious. The Buffalo cauliflower was so amazing. And the bread twist, oh so good. We will definitely be back!
The pizza was awesome. Cleaned dining room. Staff was fantastic. *Edited* We went back several time after Saucy changes to Cultivo and I'm so in love literally the best meal we ever had in town. The salad was great, pizza was perfect you can taste the quality of fresh produces. the service was excellent. We add this to our regular place. when our friends or family in town we always took them here. I'm far beyond happy to come back here again and again. Fantastic dining experience.
A great place for fine dining in Mendocino county! Up there with the best Ukiah has to offer, Cultivo has an awesome menu with something for everyone, amazing service to satisfy your dining experience, and a very welcoming ambience. We started with the Bastone with roasted garlic olive oil, as well as just a couple oysters for myself. I had the Short Rib Pasta and my partner ordered the Olive-A-Boat pizza; both were amazing. We finished with some buffalo cauliflower, and the Frozen Lemon Mousse. I also enjoyed the Cougar Spritzer, as well as two brews that were featured on happy hour. The quality is well worth the cost. Thank you Cultivo!
Awesome place, delicious food. Great drinks. Amazing staff! Will comeback )
Chef/owner Fernando Plazola and front house manager Amy oversee a cozy spot on the “gourmand” block of three popular restaurants serving delicious plates inspired by local products and the chef’s visits to farmers markets offering an abundance of high quality produce, meats and seafood. Don’t miss happy hour where you can indulge in fresh shucked oysters with champagne-shallot mignonette $1.50 each. At that price I couldn’t resist slurping a dozen and could have done more but had to tuck into the Olive-A-Boar Pizza featuring Wild Boar Sausage from the Redwood Valley, Castelvetrano Olives, Mushrooms, Roasted Garlic, Fontina Cream Sauce, Thyme, Fennel Pollen $22. Surprisingly so much better than the description. Along with the pizza we enjoyed the Chioggia Beet Salad with Arugula, Toasted Pistachios and Herbed Goat Cheese lightly tossed with a delightful Coriander Vinaigrette $14. There is a decent wine list but the draw at the small bar was an extensive selection of California micro-brewed beer and cider. As the website proclaims, you will find “dishes that surprise delight and nourish.
This farm to fork restaurant has amazing food and service. All the food was flavorful and filling. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower with blue cheese dressing and the fried cheese curds with mustard sauce for appetizers. For our entrees we ordered the free range roasted chicken and the braised short ribs, both delicious. We also ordered their blood orange Sangre for our drinks. We will definitely be coming back when we are in town.
This place is of the just the right balance of hip and classy. The food is off the charts. BY FAR one of the best places I have eaten in the county. Ambience is relaxing and cool . I preferred the salmon tartar app, grilled some fruit salad, oxtail pasta and the wild boar pizza. Top notch
Local farm sourced ingredients. Wonderful. Cozy and welcoming environment. Creative preparation. Inviting presentation. Solid service. All together, we loved our meal and experience.
Really enjoyed our experience at Cultivo yesterday. The food was top notch with highlights including the grilled peach salad and the homemade pesto. The staff was attentive and friendly. We'll be back!

We had Cultivo cater our wedding and they were incredible! The food was excellent, with lots of locally sourced options, and all our guests loved it. The staff were also really great - not only were they very professional, showing up early and helping with setup, but they were very friendly and easy to work with as well! They even went above and beyond what we asked them to do and helped with the bar and cake. We already knew Cultivo was good from trying the restaurant, but were still pleasantly surprised by how great they were at catering as well. Would highly recommend them for an event!

Great place for pizza. Not for fine dining. Lack of servers made it hard to get prompt refills, order change or info. The Saffron papperdell (sp) with Seared scallops was delightful, and the portions were big. Don't forget to order their bread braid. No desserts, sadly. Because it was my birthday. But it was a good time in general.

Service involving both the kitchen and waitress was VERY disappointing especially with a kid involved. If gratuity wasn't automatically guaranteed for them since we were a table of 9, I wonder if our service would've been different. We had walked over for some dinner before resuming ice skating with our kids because they were getting pretty hungry. After receiving and pretty leisurely eating most of our very delicious appetizers, our waitress let us know that the kitchen accepted a 20-pizza phone-order and that that was why all our pizzas and my 11 year old's breadsticks appetizer he was waiting for still were going to be very very delayed. Because they were now behind those 20 pizzas in the line for the oven. She indicated she didn't necessarily agree with their decision to accept the order. It took long enough to get the rest of our food that we finally decided to break up our group so that one grownup could take the rest of the kids that got to snack on appetizers back to the ice skating rink that closed at 7. We'd just stay behind with our son so he could at least eat his breadsticks appetizer that still hadn't come. At that point we'd have to take all of our pizzas to go and eat our dinner at home. More time passed. Had our waitress not noticed of our now mostly empty table that there is one young kid left at the table with no food still? Maybe not, she's busy, I understand things happen. So I politely got her attention to plead with her to AT LEAST **please** have the kitchen expedite our CHILD'S breadsticks so he could have something to eat at this point while we kept waiting for the pizzas. Well, the waitress just talked right over me that she understands but repeated what we already established. That the breadsticks go in the pizza oven too, so they're behind the 20-pizza phone order and it was going to be a while. GRATUITY was of course included on our bill. About $50. Not only did our child have to wait that long for a bite of his food and be the only kid staying behind from his friends that were with us, but we didn't even get to eat our dinner in the restaurant at that point. We had to box it up and take it home. Also on top of it, my gluten free pizza's crust was overdone and dark. We walked past Round Table Pizza to get to Cultivo, and would've had a vastly better and exponentially cheaper experience if we would've just went there instead.

This place used to be great! We went tonight for my wife’s birthday and it was a real disappointment. The food has definitely gone downhill. We ordered the ceviche and bastones for appetizers. The bastones have definitely shrunk quite a bit. The sauces are nice though. The ceviche came with 3 corn chips. When we asked for a few more we were given only 3 more. We ordered 3 pizzas two were great and one that I’ve ordered before just wasnt as good as I remember it being. The service was slow and not at all friendly. Honestly I felt like the waitress just didn’t like us. Maybe she was having an off day. It happens to everyone. Either way I guess we have to drive to Santa Rosa for decent food.
I guess if you just wanna post photos of food it's alright as it is presented well but the food just wasn't good. My appetizer was flavorless fried bits and then I got a beet salad to go and there was seriously maybe 5 pieces of lettuce in there and it was dark, slimy, and wilted...plus the salad dressing was already mixed in with the salad even tho I ordered it to go(i order to go salads from all across ans have never had it not come with the dressing on the side). Idk, it seemed like a decent place to grab a drink and the food was presented well but the quality of food and the preparation was very subpar.

Once a perfect get away- now a place to get low tide oysters and mediocre food bummer! Perfect little getaway without having to leave town. Everything was delicious, as well as beautiful! The service is fun and friendly, and the outdoor patio is the best seat in town to dine and watch the sun set behind the mountains.
