My oh my if you haven't tried this place...you are missing out!!! Every dish that was served to our table looked mouth watering and my Halibut special was to die for 😋

This was such a great place to stop for dinner! The drinks were delicious, the food too, and the staff were so friendly even though it was a packed house. We'll definitely come back the next time we're in town!

The seafood pasta is delicious and if you order crab they will give you this plastic bib with a crab on it. Very couture very fresh.

To start I have been to this restaurant 6 times in order to provide a fair review. I am glad I waited to review Left Coast as my first few visits I left saying “never again”. I’ll keep this short…. There have been some major improvements in this restaurant over the past few months. The food is better and you get more bang for your buck. The service is great and they have a full bar for Friday night fun! I have enjoyed every dish I’ve gotten here the past 2 times I have gone. The seafood pasta is very good and the portion is huge. The capriccio is something special as well. Overall I recommend visiting if you’re in the area. If you’re planning on a Friday or Saturday night I’d get reservations because they stay packed!

Another amazing lunch today at Left Coast Seafood. We have eaten here many times and have tried something different each time. We have NEVER been disappointed in the food, friendly staff or atmosphere.

We came for seafood and left questioning every other restaurant we’ve ever loved. Left Coast Seafood is that good. Marty was our server and straight-up crushed it—friendly, fast, and knew the menu like a food wizard. The mussels? So good I was mentally planning a second order halfway through the first. And then—boom—the hanger steak with chimichurri hits the table and steals the whole show. Juicy, flavorful, and somehow made me forget I was here for seafood. If you’re anywhere near Ukiah and don’t eat here, that’s a personal mistake. 10/10, would cancel plans to come back

We go about once a month, every time I'm well fed and loved...great staff, they make you feel like you're home.

7 of us dined here last night and not one complaint from anyone! The drinks ARE amazing- the food was very good. We all only had seafood dishes so can’t speak to the steak, but everything was cooked to perfection aside from the calamari which was a little chewy- everything else was tops. Scallops were the star! Crème brûlée was perfection and the tiramisu was good. Our waiter was one of the best we’d ever had, and helped us take care of our elderly mother. Thanks so much for helping us make our evening a very special one.

Thank you Matthew for the fabulous service and lunch my family had yesterday during Pumpkin Festival. We will differently be back to see you again!!!

Best restaurant in Ukiah! Outstanding service. Oysters on the half shell, crab cakes and poseidon fries were to die for.

This is my favorite seafood place ever! The food is fresh and amazing. The drinks are great. The service and atmosphere are great. The owner is usually there to greet us which I really love! His staff does an amazing job as well.

Unexpectedly exceptional! The hanger steak with the mash was delicious, so was the fish with the lemon caper sauce! Would highly recommend!

Left Coast is always delicious whether I've eaten here for a quick lunch at the bar or an evening dinner with friends. Best seafood in town, always fresh and full of great flavors. The drinks are great too. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The owners are wonderful and know how to make each guest feel like family. Highly recommended!!

My fiance and I have been here a few times, but our third anniversary was, easy to say, one of the best meals of my life in terms of both service and food quality. Karla was an incredible hostess and Adam made sure our night was one to remember. We are already discussing the next excuse we get to go back, and this establishment is worth every penny in flavor, quality, and professionalism. I couldnt recommend it more.

C
Cliff Maner

We were there with a party of six with two kids. There was no kids' menu to be expected in a place like this. We have a six year old and a one year old and had no problem ordering the kids something they would eat. The tomahawk was one of the best steaks I've ever had. There was not one bad dish brought to our table.

I was thoroughly impressed with the savvy of the waitstaff, their accommodations, the ambience, and above all -- the food! Mendocino county has been blessed with the advent and opening of Left Coast. These people know quality! Impressive waitstaff. My steak was perfect. Crab cakes -- sinfully good. If you're in Mendocino county and want to big-city class in fine dining, I recommend you stop by. I recommend reservations at night. Locals (and-towners) already know.

Amazing food and amazing service! You can tell the people who work here like their job, always a good sign. Jasmine was an amazing waitress and the food came out super fast but the quality was top notch 👌 We will definitely be back! You won us over. I was skeptical at first but now one of our favorite spots in town.

Went there last night with three friends, we had the crab cake appetizer, and for the main course we had the Cioppino, the seafood bake, and the seafood pasta. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. The service was excellent, and the key lime cheesecake and the donuts were great desserts. Also, I had a maple bacon Old Fashion which was amazing. This place is not for the budget conscious at $80 pp including tip unless it's a special occasion. Also, when the house was full at the beginning of our meal it was noisy, they would benefit from installing soundproofing materials on the walls. All that said, I will be returning. Certainly among the top two or three restaurants in Ukiah

C
Courtney Hamilton

Oh my god this place is amazing!! The crab dip is literally only for me when my family Orders. Haha so if they want some we order two! The ribs and steak was the most tender meat we ever had in our lives. Beyond all expectations were Met.

Soft opening visit! This place has incredible potential. Service: attentive, friendly, safe and very accommodating. Drinks: Very limited wine list. I would love to see more small local producers and more thought invested into their wine program to pair with the food. This would help direct both kitchen and service with more synergy. Food: AMAZING! Rich, fresh, attention to detail and flavors were incredible. We ordered oysters on 1/2 shell. Crab cioppino was the richest and most flavor bomb I’ve had ever! We also ordered the cracked crab in garlic and butter. Also ordered the crab roll with fries. Make sure to give them a visit!

Solid choice for a ribeye steak. Generous portions and the steak was cooked a perfect medium-rare. Next time I travel through Ukiah, I will be sure to eat here again.

I had lunch here recently and it was on point! The food was an A+ as the appetizer, salad, entrées and drinks were all prepared perfectly - nothing was under done, nothing over done; it was all 'just right.' The only *minor* issue was that they seemingly only had two-ish people managing the front end operations - just a touch off from perfect however those two people did an excellent job with what they had going on. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone. A sold grade A establishment.

Hands down best restaurant in Ukiah! Staff truly goes above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable experience with friendly and helpful service. Food and cocktails are always top notch and consistent. You can really tell everything is made with love! A must if you're ever in the area.

Big fans of Left Coast! We have never had a meal that wasn't exceptional. The Poseidon Fries are the best appetizer! Fries topped with fresh crab, capers and a lemon aiolie! 😋 The service is always really good and the owner is very nice. They also have options for people that don't enjoy seafood.

Easy review. This place boasts a great ambiance, good food and drinks, and even better service. Shanna was our server and bartender; she was so nice and so attentive. I would totally come back again just to have their seafood risotto and seafood pasta!

I can't get enough of this place! Seafood, beef, veggies -- it's all fantastic. The tap list includes Russian River and you can never go wrong with that. Service is fantastic as well. The prices are completely reasonable given the quality of everything. Highly, highly recommend.

I'd give them 6 stars if I could. Lobster 🦞 mac-n-cheese is delicious 😋. Scallop risotto is heavenly 😋. The dessert 🍨 was amazing. Very busy for Saturday night, but they made room for us at 7 pm the prime hour. Can't say a single bad word. Second visit, equally exquisite. Met the owner Matt, a great guy. He's training a fantastic head chef, Noah, young, but very capable. Outstanding service and caring folks. Delicious food 😋

The linguini with clams was incredible, the sauce was just fantastic. They also have Russian River beers and a nice outdoor seating area. I highly recommend this spot and I will definitely go back soon.

First time here on a Friday night. It was packed! Luckily, we got in before the crowd showed up. Ordered 2 of the rock cod. Amazing! Cooked well and very delicious. 2 salmon...also delicious. Short ribs were amazing too. Crab dip. Calamari. The beet salad was amazing! Had 2 of the amazing bread pudding. Cheesecake. Creme brulee and apple fried thing. The best was the bread pudding. We sat outside. They turned on the heaters for us. Would definitely be back for more!

I got a special treat for Father’s Day, a chance to try a new restaurant and see all of my children and their significant others. Our county seat is in Ukiah and this restaurant is on the north side downtown. It is an interesting area with good food and shopping. This location is fun and bright and had a great deal of activity. We were greeted and quickly sat. My kids are full of questions and the staff handled them wonderfully. We tried a diverse sense of meals Rock Cod Picatta, my son’s choice was crisp, perfectly cooked and fabulous. My eldest and her husband had the seafood tower, it was amazing and super fresh like it was just caught that day. The filet my daughter had was cooked to perfection, rich and hearty with tasty scallops. Her BF had the seafood bake which reminded me of boils from the south, it was a meal fit for a king. I am a fan of short ribs and they are one of the most underrated of meats, plus probably tough to cook by how different they can be. LeftCoasts were tender and able to be separated by a fork alone, a super choice. I had the lobster tale and split it between my kids. I was told this was an offshoot of Scoma’s, a place I would not miss when I was in San Francisco, this Ukiah jewel has joined that list. I totally forgot about what I liked best from the experience and 🫵 might all laugh, but I’m infatuated with French Fries. A must for you to order here is the Poseidon Fries which we devoured in less than a minute. ❤️

My husband and I were hunting for a good seafood restaurant while on our visit from Salem, Or. He found this gem and made a reservation. We were a little early, but they still sat us and tended to our needs right away. Sarah was our server and she was phenomenal. Everything we ordered was outstanding, from the oysters on the half shell to the Poseidon fries to start. Then the lobster risotto with scallops cooked to perfection that I ordered and my husband’s stuff salmon filet were all so delicious, I almost hurt myself trying to finish my meal. We ordered their GF apple fritter donuts to go and were delighted to see they included a delicious dark chocolate sauce to go with them. Their cocktails were delicious and generously poured. We have no complaints and nothing but praise for their amazing food, hearty portions, and friendly staff. Thank you for making our vacation date night something to remember!

We took a weekend girlfriend trip to a nearby hot spring and came here for dinner. The place was packed on a Saturday night, but we were seated quickly at two open seats by the big window facing the street. The seating was parallel, next to each other, which we didn’t mind. For our appetizer, we ordered the Ceviche Tostada, which was quite good—the fish was really fresh. For entrées, we got the Linguine & Clams and the Left Coast Cioppino to share. The linguine came with a generous amount of fresh clams and was well-prepared with a buttery, lemony sauce. However, the Cioppino was a bit disappointing—it had a small portion of seafood and only two slices of bread. When we asked for more bread, it took over 15 minutes to arrive, and we were given just three half-slices, which cost an additional $7. Considering the Cioppino itself was $41 with a limited amount of seafood, it didn’t feel like a great value. For dessert, we initially wanted the Tiramisu, but it was sold out, so we ordered the Apple Fritter instead. It was just okay—mostly dough with small pieces of apple. It felt more like fried dough with a chocolate dipping sauce than a true apple fritter. Overall, the food here is good, but the service could be improved.

Long day working on a special project. 7th work day in a row and I was hungry and wanted a cocktail. This is just my second time here and I normally wait for at least 3 visits before commenting. Reaching out to the owners to rename it "Judes Left Coast Seafood". Not a lot of places that I feel comfortable dining alone at the bar. I usually f*ck around on my phone out of boredom. The bartenders are top notch. Service was amazing, both times. Food is pretty spectacular. The conversation was engaging. The place was hopping, but everyone wanted to be outside. There is an art to being a server. I know, because I do it 5 days a week. Service is key and these folks nail it. Even though they were busy. I think my bartender was Adam, but I did eat a few pieces of bacon with my bourbon. Check them out, for sure

First time dining here: We ordered the calamari for starters. Disappointed…Not crispy, maybe some undercooked pieces, lacked seasoning… don’t recommend. The ocean master was delicious but way overpriced, $250+ which serves 3-4 people- family style. You’re better off ordering the surf and turfs with a side of the fries. Caesar salad was yummy. Lastly, keep in mind this place is extremely busy for dinner…so it took a while for food to come out, it’s very noisy and tight space between tables for those concern about social distancing & covid- it’s very packed.

Flavorful fish bake, bit pricey, bit skimpy on the crab. The bread they served is wonderful sourdough from a local with a 27 year old starter. Loved the warm towel with lemon to clean my hands. Hard kombucha on the menu! Waitress was warm, attentive and friendly. Hostess arranging seating was not very communicative and whole process to get a table was time consuming. Call ahead to avoid this. Outdoor seating available.

Heard good things about this place and decided to finally check it out. Arrived around 5 pm on a Friday with no wait. For starters, we ordered half plate oysters and a fish taco, both fresh and delicious! My husband got the short rib entree while I ordered the lobster roll, so flavorful! However, the dessert is what knocked this review from a 5 to 4… the cheesecake did not have the right texture and the tiramisu lacked cream.

The food was superbly delicious, except for the stringy and overcooked/over-seasoned fries. The prices were too high for the calamari, risotto, beet, and cheesecake. Make a reservation and let them know, then, whether or not you want to sit inside or outside, because they are super busy and super packed. If you do not clarify at time of making your reservation, of where you want to sit, you will be seated wherever they choose, when you arrive. It is too late, then, to ask to be seated where you’d like to sit—inside or out. There is not much room inside the building, so the tables next to you are too close. Outside seating seems roomier and quieter, which is ideal. The music was way too loud! The noise from all the patrons talking was already too loud. The music was too much. Even when the music stopped, for a moment, it was still hard to hear people at our own table. They should simply keep the music off. The staff were friendly, patient, and very busy. It is good to be busy and making money. We had delicious Calamari, superbly delicious Crab Risotto, delicious Crab Rolls with not-good, stringy, overcooked/over-seasoned fries, a beet salad/not salad (see below), and a delicious cheesecake slice, for dessert. The Beet Salad was NOT a salad, but rather an overpriced, small plate with a few pieces of cut beet, drizzled with some kind of dressing. Do not order it, even if they say it is delicious. It was good, but neither a salad nor for a good price. I am not even sure if it was a whole beet.

This was our second time to the restaurant. Unfortunately the first time, they had a special menu that we were not fond of so we decided to give a second try. We were disappointed in our second experience. The kids liked their burger which is good. The drink I had was great! My wife’s clam chowder and halibut was barely warm. The cioppino, very hot. But that is not why we are giving this place 2 stars. The waiter we had was great, it was when the food runner delivered the hot cioppino accidentally spilled it on my wife’s hand, leg, and phone scalding her skin. Luckily, we had oysters on the half shell and used the ice to immediately ice the burn. They were very apologetic and even brought us more ice. The bill was $400 plus tip, minus 1 champagne drink and was given a desert that we didn’t even want, to compensate for the accident. Although we are grateful, we feel that more could have been done.

Benedict had overcooked egg, little sauce, and very stingy with what felt like re-heated potatoes. Not much flavor at all. Our server was fine and pleasant but another employee was alternately grazing on her plate, ringing things up, finger in mouth, grazing, touching door handles, etc. Not a great look. Expensive for the total experience.

Apparently "draft beer $5" only applies to one of the seven draft beers, which we weren't told until after we ordered, and we got overcharged for one of the cocktails too. They said it was their fault but refused to refund us. Also there was something red sitting at the bottom of my water. Our server randomly started bartending before even taking our order and then told us we had to order through someone else. We tracked down another waiter only to have him tell us we needed to order at the bar. The bar doesn't take orders. We spent 45 minutes here, got ripped off on drinks and never even got to order food. Some of the staff was unnecessarily rude, and no one ever came to our table after seating us. Waste of time and money.

Was waiting for my food for over 45 minutes at the bar and no one offered me a drink meanwhile I waited. not complementary of course . I told them I was going to have a drink at the bar meanwhile my food was done and I was not once greeted by the bartender also my portion was super small for the $50 I spent it was not what the dish says online was missing clams and wasn’t told they were out or anything
