We frequent slam dunk at least once a month but we came in last night an hour before the truckers light parade and so did half of ukiah! The place was packed and they warned us it was at least 45min for pizzas. I waited 15min more or less to make my order and as I was waiting staff was flying. They were going as fast as they could to keep up with refilling the salad bar, taking orders, making and delivering the food to tables, getting drinks, cleaning tables. I swear there were 300 people there trying to eat. They were understandably busy and a little behind but everyone still had on a good smile and a good attitude from what I could see. The owners were also running around with them, all doing their best. Under all the chaos, everyone kept their cool. Most customers I saw accepted the fact that it was just a crazy night and we all said “hey, when I get my food I get my food, they’re obviously slammed.” My pizza came out in half the estimated time, the salad bar was full, the guy taking our order did great. And another staff helped me get some forks and plates (after we had to wait for them to be washed because they were SO BUSY they ran out of paper and their dish washer was moving as fast as they could.) On top of all this, the pizza was great as usual. Sometimes places will be so busy that the food will slack, and that wasn’t the case tonight. 10/10 they all did an amazing job, the best they could under the circumstances. Truly a community place.

A great place to have a party. Delicious pizza and also a little ice cream shop. I enjoyed the options in the salad bar! Very hard to find these days. I was most impressed with their upgraded arcade. It's fantastic for the kids.

Friendly customer service. Greets us by name with a smile even in the midst of busiest times. It feels like family when you are there, the ingredients are fresh, flavors are robust in the pizza, totchos, or wings.

I love this place, it's actually my cousin and her husband who own both restaurants in California. My family and I went there this summer and it was great. The food and drinks were delicious. The arcade is different than what I remember the last time I went there. They used to have classic 80's retro arcade games like Road blasters and racing games, but it is still enjoyable. The restaurant staff are super friendly and helpful. I hope I get to go back and eat there again.

This is our new favorite spot! The first time we came here we were helped by Zach who was super friendly and recommended the pesto caprese pizza, which was delicious! He told us about their rewards program which was free and easy to join and already we've been able to use our points. We've been here a few times and we always have a good time, staff is super friendly and Frank the GM even offered us a sample of a new item to ask our opinion about it. Not too overpriced, and lots of menu options, casual and fun environment. Highly recommend!

I was lucky enough to win the free Flaming Hot Cheetos Mozzarella sticks. Best mozzarella sticks I've ever had! The cheese was so fresh and gooey. The cheeto crust wasn't spicy so u get enjoy the crispy texture and flavor. I will definitely be getting more! 5 ⭐️

I have been going to Slam Dunk for as long as they have been around. They are one of my favorite pizza places in town! Delicious pizza and other foods, great customer service, family friendly environment and with an arcade. They also do events such as painting classes or birthday parties.

Such a fun place! My grandkids (and grown up kids) love the arcade. The food is quality and very tasty! The staff is helpful and attentive and the atmosphere is comfortable and clean.

If I could give ten stars I would. Every time time we come it’s a slam dunk. The staff is always friendly and helpful even when it’s slamming busy. The pizza believe me when I tell you it’s off the charts good! From the crust to the sauce and all the toppings are perfection. Beer on tap. Fantastic salad bar. The game room is fantastic and perfect to have some family fun! Everything is clean and tidy. Why are you still reading…. Go forth and eat pizza and have fun already.

I really like this place. Locally owned restaurant (I think anyway). Came in for lunch. They have a good lunch buffet that's a great value in my opinion. They've got a couple banquet rooms and a sizable game area. Good atmosphere, good value, good people, good food.

We've always gotten take out and it's always delicious, but today we dined in with a large group and complicated order. I was even more impressed after eating in the restaurant! My kids love the arcade, we loved the food and the service was unbeatable. We also finally tried the ice cream, and I can't believe we waited this long to try it! It'll be our go-to ice cream shop this summer for sure.

I hope this makes it to management: I am totally impressed with Zack, Louis, Autumn, and now Joseph: I come in there and sit at the bar a couple times a month, order a Pliny and listen to the interactions of customers ordering on the phone or at the counter. I love it! I hear the customer's reactions to opening their pizza box and being asked: "Is this what you ordered? We wan to make sure before you drive down the road". Zack has an excellent "bar presence", funny, quick witted, has tons of "games" ( I won one and lost the rest) and very professional. Louis, is all business, great manager, and very professional. Autumn, quick, focused, wants to do the right thing, and represents the company with a smile. Joseph, courteous, talkative, and also very professional. I am not in the restaurant business, but I know people. You should be very proud of your employees. I really enjoy sitting at the bar and witnessing true customer service and professionalism at its best! I go there for the Pliny, the employees, and the food! Cheers to a great business philosophy!

I have patronized Slam Dunk Pizza since they opened. The owners, Matt and Stephanie Dunkin are fantastic business people. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The restaurant always has fun things going on. Love their pizza, the salad bar and now the ice cream bar. They have a big menu with other things on it besides pizza. Slam Dunk Pizza is a family oriented restaurant with a game room that the kids love. Stop by there and enjoy a fun evening. Check out the activities they have as well.

I love slam dunk. The employees are always super friendly and helpful. I honestly feel bad sometimes because it gets so busy but they are always so nice. Their pizza is DELICIOUS!! Our main go-to order is a Hawaiian with bacon. The prices are reasonable. It also a great place for a birthday party or a gathering. The arcade is nice too.

I mostly order to-go from here, but dining in is always fun; they have a decent arcade and a laid back atmosphere. I like that there are tables in the arcade, which helps when keeping an eye on kiddos. Food is good and is always hot and fresh. A bit pricey, but so is everywhere else and when it’s consistently good I don’t mind paying. The staff is always super polite and very attentive. They (there are usually two employees at the front) always ask if I need help carrying my order to my car. Definitely my favorite pizza place in town.

I went to Slam dunk this past Saturday 3/2/24. The place was buzzing, we ordered a half and half pizza. A combination and cheese, when the pizza arrived, it was big for a medium size and smelled delicious. It was one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted. The crust is divine, it is tasty and has a great texture, the meats, vegetables and sauce were all so fresh, and again super tasty. I highly recommend this place, can't wait to taste other pizzas that are on the menu, I would love to try the fried pickles too. Oh, the service was good, and the pizza was ready in a reasonable amount of time. Even though there were lots of other people waiting for their orders, and sports parties for local kids basketball teams.

Got the vegan gluten free crust BYO and it was great. It’s hard to do gluten free but this crust is perfect. Definitely felt like a kid here. My family all liked going here, eat a pizza and play air hockey in the arcade. Cherished time. Although, I think it’s a bit over priced. I’ve eaten/been to places with a vegan gluten free pizza and honestly this was one of the higher priced ones. Regardless, this place still offers something for people within that dietary need which is nice. The Owner is kind and explained everything I needed to know and was super helpful. I told him I had a severe gluten allergy and he was able to accommodate and have the pizza be made separately and with as little cross contamination as possible. His son also is kind. I didn’t meet anyone else but so far everyone seemed like good people.

My son wanted to play games and have pizza after his baseball game so we came in and got the best customer service from Zachary. He was very attentive, brought us a box without being asked, and even gave us a sundae from the new ice cream counter on the house! My son was very happy with this visit Only complaint is the bathrooms could be cleaner 😅

There where just a few to many tables dirty for nobody checking to see if poeple are done eating it get them cleaned. When i looked over it must off been at least 7 or 8 cooks putting cooking.

Has an issue with a door dash order and was extremely impressed how it was handled by the business. They addressed and rectified the situation flawlessly. This reminded me of the pizza joints like I had growing up. Sure the building could use some love but it adds to the authentic vibe. The guy at the front desk is great. Super energetic and really seemed to care about the spot he worked at. If I was the owner I would never let that guy leave, he adds a lot of value to the customer experience, that’s the type of employee I need working for me…the pies are great and creative, the art on the underside of boxes is top notch. Hope to see them expand south a bit towards my neck of the woods, they would kill it!

Had a long day and guess who’s NOT cooking? Me. So I call up this local pizza place to get our favorites pepperoni and or a Hawaiian. I know those are classics but Slam Dunk does them so well. If we’re feeling adventurous the BBQ chicken is also tasty!! We love coming here to this hometown favorite. The staff is kind and attentive. It does get busy but it is well managed. Order ahead!

Great place for casual pizza, beer, and arcade games with friends. Decent beer selection on tap. There are a couple private event rooms that are great if you have a larger group. The arcade is really fun for kids and adults, with a pretty awesome Jurassic Park game.

Very big building, Locally owned and managed, delivery available, has a full size arcade for the kids, and very friendly and reasonable service. Flat screens are mounted through out the pizzeria for entertainment, delicious food, very healthy and flavorful salad bar. Pizza is a bit greasy, so don't go crazy on stuffing yourselves up as it truly will fill you up, but with such good quality service, amenities, and flavor, Who would blame you for going all out?

i like to get the negatives out of the way when there's more positives, so here we go. upon entering, i saw the sweat and hard work on the employees' foreheads and faces, to the point no one wanted to greet the customers, lol. the bathroom had no paper towels. the ice cream section, which I'm glad they have, could use a designers touch to make it look more inviting. this place is awesome for families and kids with ample sitting area, large arcade room, and the separate ice cream section. made me miss my daughter as she would've loved it here. there's also a separate party room, which was being used while we were there. the cheese pizza was OK, 3 5 of 5 stars, tasted like i was eating hot bread with sauce. the cheese was barely noticeable, maybe because i asked them to try and make the pizza on the crusty side? well that didn't work cuz the cheese was overcooked and the crust wasn't crusty lol. anyhow overall good experience.

The pizza was delicious and the place had a fun atmosphere, with various sports decorations and sports-themed names for the pizzas. As for service: I don't know ... maybe things were out of the ordinary during our dinner there? It was a Saturday night, and a local club had booked a back room. It took about 25 minutes for our pizza to be ready after ordering. No judgment, as I have just the one visit with no basis for comparison. I did find it odd that when we got our pizza, there were no plates for us to eat off of, even though it seemed as though everyone else was able to eat off plates. We were told that someone was going to wash up some dishes and they'd bring us some plates in "a couple of minutes." That never happened, we never got any plates and just ended up eating off napkins. One touch that I appreciate is that the establishment doesn't restrict usage of its single-user bathrooms by gender. The person who is next in line can use the next available bathroom, as it should be.

Very good pizza, prices are fare for pizza these days. Offers large dining areas and rooms that make it great for groups. Lunch buffet is awesome, and if your vegetarian or gluten free just call ahead and they will make a pizza and add it to the buffet for you, no problem. Staff is always friendly. Big TVs for sports and a nice size arcade for the younger crowd. Usually pretty clean, and nice size restrooms make this a great place for families.

I live slam dunk pizza. My family has been going there since my son was 2 and they first opened he is now 13. I only put 4 stars on service and atmosphere because sometimes the new people can be rude but it's always made right again. And the atmosphere because sometimes it's crazy in there.

The pizza is fabulous but while I was here someone complained about the salad bar. Sometimes the salad does look a little old. Otherwise the SlamDunk pizza is amazing and definitely my favorite.

Pizza in the mendo region is severely lacking. It is better here often than most others, but I rate pizza places based on standard pepperoni. The pizza is kind of bland. If you want something special, they do a decent deep-dish.

Slam Dunk is one of the better pizza places in Ukiah. They are family owned and operated, and very supportive of the local community. There is an ample amount of parking to match the large number of seats the restaurant has available. There are four separate rooms that can be rented for parties or meetings, the main room that has approximately 15 tables, and the arcade room that has three large tables for eating at as well. The arcade offers a decent variety of games that have recently been upgraded (and operate on a card swiping system similar to Scandia). There is also a prize station for the kids as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is usually quickly prepared (though wait times can creep up when they are busier). They do offer both dine-in and delivery. Slam Dunk has a large variety of pizzas and side dishes, including a handful of options that aren’t pizza (including burgers. sandwiches, salads, and desserts). They also offer gluten free and dairy free options, which is a plus.

One of my favorite places to eat in Ukiah. **UPDATED 6/15/22** I mean absolutely no harm to Slam Dunk. I love the people in this business and wish them well. But after a number of return trips as of late, I have stopped returning. The food product has dimmed in it's quality and though at one time I would come here for their daily pizza special, I can't anymore. I love these folks but I had to change my review otherwise I'm just not being honest.

The Hot Pastrami sandwich tasted good, but I was so disappointed when I saw that there were only three thin slices of meat for $10.95

We ordered a large pizza, six chicken wings, an order of pesto knots and it was $60. The pizza only had half toppings, most of the toppings were on one side of the pizza and the other side was mostly cheese. Instead of six wings there was only five and the pesto knots were very undercooked and doughy. This place was our favorite pizza place in Ukiah for 5-6 years, but now the prices are insane and the quality is non-existent. Unfortunately we will not recommend this place to anyone and never set foot or order out from here again. I know times are tight and everything's getting more expensive but why with the quality go down as the prices go up?

Pizza dough was undercooked and covered in flour. Pieces of chicken gristle on the pizza too. Gross. When we told the staff they said....uhhhh....sorry. Salad bar was good and staff were friendly-ish, but our pizza was not enjoyable.

I can’t remember the last time they didn’t mess up my order… spent $100 on pizza for everyone tonite and the one pizza I could eat was wrong. Once again I will go to the co op and spend more money for my dinner. Suggest you jump behind the counter and help them make it if you have any kind of food allergies or don’t eat meat

Dont order take out, or the pizzas. Go to Round Table, not as fun but the pizzas actually taste eatable. Ordered a Hawaiian and it tasted like it was trying to ward off vampires with the cheapest ingredients that can be bought..... If you like fun go there but if you like flavor go anywhere else. We'll except Little Ceasars cardboard pizzaria.

The pizza is super inconsistent but yesterday it was the worst ever, salad bar was warm yuck!. The wings were very small with little meat. Our family loves pizza and always fight over leftovers if they're are any. Yesterday the pizza showed up super burnt rock hard crust the kids wouldn't even touch it. 1 half eaten slice for everybody. Leftovers stayed in the car all night and got thrown away today. The kids love the games but I think slam dunk is closed the next time they ask to go there. $100 bucks down the drain

Was in on Dec 6 2025. Pre ordered my mini pizza at 7:30 am for a 4:30 pick up. At 5:15 it still wasn't made. Asked for a refund and to this day Jan 18th I'm still waiting. Yes I did get a hold of my bank.
