El Tio's is great! I ordered the ham breakfast burrito. It is PACKED with flavor. It has egg, cheese, ham, sour cream, and crispy tator tots. The tortilla was soft and fluffy as well. The restaurant is clean, organized and attractive. Raul was great! He makes it all run well and he made this visit a pleasant one. If you like breakfast burritos, please come here! Eat up!!!

Small place, with 3 tables. Thankfully we were doing grab and go on our short lunch break on the Fox TV truck. These tacos were impressive. Unlike a lot of places, this meat isn't precooked and sitting in a container drying out. The raw meat for the tacos was taken out of the cooler and was put on the grill to order. Excellent flavor and the green sauce was outstanding! We love working in San Diego and we found a great place for our meal breaks now. Gonna try the tortas or the burgers next trip. Can't wait!

Wonderful hole in the wall Mexican food place. Only had the Breakfast burrito but everything looked good. Owner was very nice and even split our burrito into 2 plates for us. Just be warned the size is enormous. Also, when ordering coffee signify black or it comes pre-sweetened.

I was in the area from Riverside, looked for somewhere to eat, Tio's popped up and I drove past it. I AM VERY HAPPY I turned around. I ordered the carne asada burrito and he suggested the Cali Burrito. I definitely will be back, the burrito was perfect.. thank you Tio..

Only a few tables but worth the stop, even if for take out. More reasonable prices than other Mexican places in the area.

I love trying New Mexican food places and this is by far one of the absolute best I’ve tried. The carne asada and adobada were seasoned so perfectly and so tender, the gentleman that made my food was very kind and friendly. This is an absolute must try!

I first ate here when the doors first opened. The owner is a very genuine person. His food is always fresh 😋 and when I worked in the area my coworkers and I would get our breakfast lunch and dinner on 12hr work days. We worked hard so we needed the fuel to get those long days inland this place was perfect for us as a team with he variety and how good the food is. Due to trying to find one place everyone can agree to get food from he was an easy choice for all of us. He sells a variety of food and everything I've ate here over the years has always been very satisfying. My friends are now also regulars after trusting my taste buds and trying him out. Nowadays I drive a good distance to eat here. I Love the food and his milkshakes are delicious too! If you live near by or work near by try this place out you can leave a thanks online after you try it.

El Tio’s is an awesome little taco shop. The one-man-show behind this restaurant is incredibly nice and very good at what he does. I came in this week for a burger and he gave me fries and a drink free! I can’t recommend this place enough

This place is SOLID. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the cali burrito and both SLAPPED. The hot sauce is a bit smoky but the spice creeps up on ya, which is a good thing. I ate the other half of my burrito 5 hours later and it was still bomb. Thank you El Tio for being in SD. 🙏

El Tio's is truly authentic, muy auténtica! The food, delicious! The owner, very humble, kind, hard working, and brought the heart of Puebla cuisine to San Diego. Look no further for someone who truly cooks from the heart. It may seem like a small shop, but being ran by only a small staff and owner, he is quick and attentive. My new favorite shop for Cabeza, and I'm ready to try more!

Excellent food and service. My only complaint is that they need a salsa bar but overall this place is a hidden gem in San Diego. We will be back every week!! So excited to have this business in the neighborhood
