I love this place. The staff is so polite, the service is quick, the restaurantis spotless. Most importantly, the food is great. The bistek sandwich was juicy, tender, the flavor was amazing. The cubano was really good too and both had soft, fresh bread. The meat pie was flakey and crispy and the meat inside tasted incredible. Even the coffee was great, no bitter after taste on the latte or the cortadito. Everything felt like a home cooked meal, just had to drop a good review.
Just left after finishing a delicious french toast plate! My 3 yr old got the kids French toast plate and my husband the pan con bistec. All of the food was delicious and they were plated up nicely. The service was amazing. The main guy looked to perhaps be the owner. I admired that he was teaching his young son to man the register.
I'ts a Family-friendly place, nice and clean. The service is very friendly and fast. The food is really delicious. What I liked most were the popusas !!!
I grew up in south Florida. Lived in Nor Cal for a long time. This place really hit the spot when I had a craving for a cuban sandwich. It was exactly what I wanted. Reminded me very much of what I would get in a Cuban deli in Miami. We also tried the plantains(perfectly fried) and sampled a cheese roll we were told will soon be added to the menu. The meat pies and pastries in the case looked delicious. The horchata was spot on. The staff was incredibly kind. Will make it a point to return again.
One of the best cafes to come to Vacaville. If you're wanting a really good, really fresh breakfast please come here, you won't be disappointed. Secondly their espresso is 10,000x than anything you'd find in a drive thru. 🇨🇺 Cafe 💖
The food was authentic based on my visits to Miami and my trip to Cuba. The owner was very friendly and hospitable. Loved the experience and the atmosphere of this quaint restaurant. It felt like you were dining at a friends home. My friend and I ordered five items so that we could taste everything and nothing was disappointing.
This was a very small but clean and friendly atmosphere. I came with a good friend who told me what she likes. I had the Ropa Vieja plate. They served it with fried sweet plantains, avocado and black bean rice. It was amazing- rich, full flavored and incredibly delicious. I will definitely come back to try other items!
So in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. I worked at my parents Grocery Store. But enough about me. Cuba Cafe is a Mom & Papa's Cafe. A Absolutely Wonderful Family owned business. Not a chain! The Food is fresh. The Food is Delicious. On this Particular Sunday. My wife wanted to go out to breakfast. I told her let try this place. I Prefer to support the family and smaller businesses. My Wife was so happy that we came here. The Food, Coffee and Pastries were so delicious. We both said we need to make Cuba Cafe. A regular eating place. Jeff Hom
Incredible food and service. Rosita is amazing. Her cook was out and she was doing everything on her own! Did I mention she is only 19. Bravo Rosita. Thank you much! Muchas gracias por todo! 🫶🏼
Really delicious mom and pops restaurant! My husband and I were wanting to stop somewhere for lunch during a long car ride and randomly came across Cuba Cafe. Food was delicious. I ordered the Cuban Sando with a side of tostones, both were so delicious and flavorful. My husband ordered the chicken plate and it stole the show! The flavors were so good!! We wrapped up our meal with a pastry and cordaditos. Seriously you gotta eat here!
On our way to Santa Cruz, saw the reviews and backtracked a bit to get there. Definitely worth it! Small, bright and clean, and amazing food! We had the Ropa Vieja Plato and a Cuban Sandwich and both were absolutely delicious! Very nice coffee. Aside from the food, this has to be one of the cleanest establishments (bathrooms included) I've ever eaten in. We watched as they readied a pig for slowcooking (6 hours) for a catered event.
My wife actually found this hidden gem! This place has outside dining as well as inside. We sat outside on a beautiful sunny day on the table and chairs out front. We ordered the chicken salad and Cuban burger and shared them. We also ordered the croquettes. (Which are delicious. The mustard dill sauce thing is out of this world. Thats what it tastes to me.) Now, the chicken salad is really good. Green crisp lettuce, thin green apple slices, avocado, chicken and bacon with a homemade ranch. Im drooling thinking about it. The Cuban burger, probably one of the best burgers I've had. On a Cuban bun, 2 patties w/ cheese and the normal toppings. The bun is what sold me, it was soft but crunchy. We will definitely be coming back. I often visit my family in Vacaville. This will be my food stop from now on. It is a small family owned restaurant with an eye for quality food and Cuban culture.
Small cozy place with delicious food. Very clean and bright, friendly people, exquisite preparation of the plates. I recommend the Ropa Vieja or the Cuban Sandwich. Ask for the restroom key before heading to the back. Well worth the five minutes out of our way. The service and food are well deserved. They work really hard here. Lots of details are well cared for. I'm sure the Frozen yogurt is delicious also.
Stopped here on the way to San Fran, was not disappointed. It's a small cafe a few minutes from I-80. The menu isn't huge, but what they have is fantastic! Especially the guava pastries. Wonderful, flaky crust with a guava jelly filling. They make them fresh every day. We also ordered the ham and egg sandwich and ropa vieja (shredded beef cooked in a flavorful sauce) omelette which were just as good as the pastries. This place will definitely be on my radar for future quick breakfast stops when I'm heading to the Bay Area.
I've been coming here for years and never been disappointed. The food is delicious, and the Cuban coffee is the best. The owners personality is awesome too, she's always so cheery.
The food is amazing but the people here are even better. We tried a little of everything meat pies, ropa vieja, pollo de Plato, fries, croquetas, papas rellenos. I would say definitely try the meat pies, pollo de Plato, and ropa vieja. The rest you could live without. The people here are lovely they are attentive and patient with us and looking at the menu over and over again and even came out with chicken papas rellenos that were pretty good for us to just try. I would also say try the smoothies definitely worth it.
Came today for a brunch, and our party of 7 ordered half the menu. Nothing disappointed, flavor, presentation, service, everything top notch! If you consider yourself a foodie this place is a must try in VV.
A wonderful small cafe set back in a quiet neighborhood in vacaville. When i stepped inside the place smelled like my abuela’s kitchen so i immediately knew something was going to be good. You can’t go wrong with the cuban sandwich, although they serve a killer pan con bistec and the ropa vieja plato is really good. everything was perfect and the owner is very sweet. My abuela would be jealous.
Great coffee and pastries. Haven’t had too much of their food yet but so far i have not been disappointed. The sisters here are very considerate and has a family vibe on the place. I enjoy this place and hope they remain consistent in what they offer.
The best Afro Latino food I’ve had since living in NorCal/ Bay Area … flavorful authentic and fulfilling … meat pies are perfect so is the chicken I do wish they made whole pieces of chicken but that does not take away from how good the food is sweet perfect ripe plantains … cashier is delightful real sweerheart … cafecito served here is super authentic too … get yaself a tiny cup if u need a jolt of energy made this puerto Rican girl from nyc very very happy … muy bueno …y gracias
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 It's a treat to stop by Cuba Cafe for my cafe con leche (espresso with steamed milk) and a pastry treat! Today I am trying the coconut anf a papa rellena 😍 Family-owned restaurant 🙏🏼
Very delicious Cuban place everything is good. Will definitely be coming back soon.
Both sandwiches are very good! Cuban with delicious black beans and ordered a side of rice. Pan con Biste with fries. I would order both again. Small cafe with outdoor sitting area.
Lovely mom and pop with a pretty big menu full of interesting stuff! I got the medianoche and it was delicious. Good coffee too!
I have given maybe 3 restaurants 5 stars because there's always something that makes me not fall head over heels for the food but I have never had Cuban food from a restaurant that tasted and smelled SO much like my mother's. The cooks here don't lie when they say it's authentic because everything down to the frijoles are true Cuban. I have never felt more at home than eating the pollo con frijoles y arroz served here along with a guava pastry and cafe con leche. I will definitely be coming here every day if I can, this cafe is beyond amazing and so well priced.
Clean small, friendly Mom and Pop cafe that offers Cuban fare as well as Amercanized options (sandwiches and burgers). I had the Ropa Viejo plate, a very good stewed beef plate👍Coffee with milk made fresh, Cafe con leche-👍They also have Cuban sandwiches and pastries. People do come in for just frozen yogurt (Jungle Yogurt) or coffee and pastries alone. I plan on coming back to try their breakfast and sandwiches.

Awesome place to go to , food was flavorful and meat melts in the mouth and well seasoned , would come back for different dishes
Great Cafe with fantastic food. We hade the ropa vieja sandwich with croquetas and the Frech toast with eggs and thick bacon. The Croquetas are made fresh and are closest to my grandma's. I will come back for more.
Yummy fast food in a clean cafe off the beaten path. I love giving my money to a hardworking family vs a corporation. Good stuff, definitely worth a visit.

Really tasty food & great coffee! I’m not from the area but it seems like a hidden gem.
Soooooo good, a perfect lunch stop between Tahoe and the bay area. They serve both cuban staples (chicken, rice, beans; plátanos maduros; ropa vieja) and American brunch foods (eggs; waffles; pancakes). Their chicken plate was so flavorful that I downed it in ten seconds flat. Their plátanos maduros were perfect, nice and ripe. A+++ will tell all my friends. It's a little hole in the wall spot but has the BEST food and ample+clean seating.
I came with a friend who I hadn't seen in a while and we both really enjoyed every part of our meal. I'm spacing on the name of my dish, but it was one of the traditional Cuban plates and it was absolutely fantastic. They also had exceptional coffee. We were thankful for the great staff who provided wonder service and let us hang out and catch up.
Stopped by for the first time yesterday looking for some breakfast. Fiesta omelette and biscuits and gravy. Both were simple and prepared perfectly. I'd definitely go again next time in the area.
Best breakfast hands down! Server was amazing and very sweet! Breakfast was also amazing! I would definitely recommend the meat lovers omelette

What the table ordered: Coffee (Cafe con Leche, Cafe Mocha Dark Chocolate) Tostones Croquettas Cuban Club Sandwich w Fries Medianoche w/ Black Beans Food was delivered hot, fresh and of high quality. The coffee was bold and full bodied with good flavor and few hints of bitterness. Tostones were crispy and salted lightly, and not dry - very good. Croquettas were crispy and hot, balanced with good overall flavor and served with house mustard sauce - excellent. Cuban Club Sandwich was filled with sliced ham and turkey, bacon and lettuce on a soft cuban bread which in both flavor and texture resembled a Mexican telera/bolillo bread - very good. Medianoche came with roast pork, ham, pickles, house mustard sauce on a slightly sweet, pressed and buttered roll. This is a must-get item if you're interested in something different. Staff were very friendly and worked quickly, overall we waited for all of our food for less than 10 minutes. The place is a bit drab but does not lack the quaintness or charm of a humble local spot. The prices were fair for the overall quality and flavor of the food ordered. Total price for all items was $59.40* *Also ordered but not listed or reviewed was a Guava and cheese turnover, I did not have the opportunity to try it, however it is made in-house and looks good.
First time for Cuban food, the Cuban sandwich and Ropa Vieja Plato were both tasty with plenty of flavor without heat (my wife's requirement). The staff was nice enough. The location is kinda hole-in-the-wall. Prices were about average these post-Covid days. We'll be back as this is close to one of my tennis/pickleball haunts.
Niche café - needed something different for today's Sunday-at-noon wakeup juice, and this was an interesting solution. Very casual but clean atmosphere, quick service, best for small numbers of people as seating is limited. I'm not familiar with Cuban cuisine, but the food menu is familiar to those with a taste for American breakfast food, with a delicious twist. I ordered a sugared up coffee drink (dark chocolate/mocha) which was one of a handful of coffees available. Did it for me. I will return, but: minus one star for being a bit pricey, and the place has limited hours: 9am - 4pm(!?).

Went here with some friends last weekend for lunch and I am not sure that it lived up to the hype and good reviews. It is a family owned cafe, and they take good care of the place - it looks very neat and clean, bright and colourful. Service was decent too. The owner seemed a little awkward - she wasn't sure what we were saying when we asked for a recommendation and at first just said, "Everything is good, depends on you." Only when pressed did she volunteer the fact that she eats the chicken sandwich everyday, which we took to be her recommendation. Among the 3 of us, we got a chicken sandwich at the owner's recommendation (was very solid), a beef stew dinner plate and I got the same thing as a sandwich. Sort of wish I had ordered the chicken sandwich instead, or if the dish came as bread alongside the stew rather than in sandwich form. We also got some frozen yoghurt to round everything off, and that was pretty decent. Neither better nor worse than other fro yo places I've been to. I may just be a bad judge though - I like all things fro yo!
It’s ok but it’s not authentic Cuban food. The pastelitos are mostly dough and way too big and the croquetas aren’t very good. When I ordered café con leche, it came within it sugar and that’s unheard of for Cuban cafe con leche. Can’t be compared to a Cuban cafe in Miami but it’s alright.
VERY RUDE boss lady. Will not return even for a free meal. Food is fine, flavor is different to other breakfast restaurant, very short menu options, but attitude is not worth to ruin your meal. Clean environment I will give that. I agree with other comments, very rude lady, that kills the desire to return and support small local business.
Not authentic Cuban food. The black beans tasted like they came from a can. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for authentic Cuban food.
Ordered via door dash today- trying something new. All items ordered were gross. Sandwich had so much mayo it was soggy, tomatoes 1 inch thick. Pupusas have no flavor, and no salt added. Ordered a different sandwich and received chicken. Would not order here again. Only good thing was the mango smoothie.
