So I was very skeptical about coming into this restaurant because the outside leaves a lot to be desired. The restaurant overall needs a complete renovation, but the food and service were great. The food was made to order and came out hot and fresh. I got the biscuits and gravy with bacon eggs and a side of french toast, and my husband had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Everything was good, and I would definitely eat here again.

Wren's Cafe in Vacaville, is a charming and cozy restaurant that serves up delicious breakfast and lunch dishes. With so many breakfast options nearby, we decided to visit on a slow Monday morning and were impressed with our dining experience. The menu at Wren's Cafe offers a variety of options, from classic breakfast items like pancakes and omelettes to hearty lunch dishes like burgers and sandwiches. We ordered the chicken fried steak, a side of homemade biscuits, a protein (lettuce wrapped) burger, veggie omelette, and the blueberry pancake special. The chicken fried steak was crispy and flavorful, served with a side of piping hot home potatoes, creamy gravy and fluffy eggs that were a perfect complement to the dish. The protein burger was also delicious, with a juicy beef patty topped with bacon, cheese, and avocado and wrapped in fresh iceberg lettuce. The veggie omelette was robustly filled with fresh and tasty vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, and bell peppers. The blueberry pancake special was a standout dish, with fluffy pancakes studded with plump and juicy blueberries baked into the pancake. The dish was served with a side of bacon, adding a savory element to the sweet breakfast dish. The ambiance at Wren's Cafe is cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff and a comfortable dining area. The restaurant is small, but the decor is charming and the atmosphere is perfect for a leisurely breakfast or lunch. Nearly every seat was taken at 11:30am. Overall, Wren's Cafe in Vacaville is a great spot for anyone looking for delicious and satisfying breakfast or lunch dishes in a charming and cozy setting. The food is well-prepared, the portions are generous, and the service is friendly and attentive. We would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a great local breakfast or lunch spot.

Wren's has some of the best biscuits n gravy I've ever had but pretty small portions of everything. The service was quick, friendly and efficient. The restaurant itself is a cozy, little worn diner. Smells good and welcoming when you enter. $27 for 1 biscuit w/gravy, 2 eggs , 2 bacon strips and a soda. Little pricey for not much

Finally I made it in here! After driving by it for years I had the opportunity to eat breakfast. My wife and I were back in California for a few days and were staying in Vacaville. I told her I had been by this place for years and wanted to give it a try. It did not disappoint! The chicken fried steak was very good and the gravy had a good flavor. The service was good and it was very busy on a Sunday morning. This is right off Interstate 80 so its easy on and off. Well worth the time and effort!

Home spun Cafe with good breakfast food made to order. When you ask for crispy bacon, you get it, along with perfectly cooked country potatoes diced and crispy and puffy. Homestyle all the way.

Wren’s Cafe in Vacaville, CA, is family owned small spot serving up breakfast and lunch daily. Current hours are 6am-1:30pm. The food is simple, classic ole fashion American breakfast and lunch items (burgers, sandwiches, soup, and salads). The place looks just as it did when it opened in 1986. Been a customer since then. It is located right off Alamo exit off Interstate 80. The food is basic. Not fancy schmazy, nor innovative. The interior has seen better days. Clean but worn. The seating is booth seating and a few counter seats. The folks are hardworking, genuinely friendly, and real. Tip: the restroom (which is a single user) is in the back right corner. The door opens directly into the dining room. So you may want to avoid sitting next to it.

I don't recommend this place, unfortunately. The coffee is very watery. The biscuits and gravy have a miniscule amount of meat and flavor. The French toast is thin and flavorless. Cheap syrup. And, there's flys flying all around us as we eat. Positives: The waitress was very busy and prompt and the eggs were decently cooked. We will not be back.

Had been wanting to try Wren's and now regret stepping foot inside and giving them a penny let alone a LOT of money for semi hot trash Where to start, the sausage patty, hoping it would be good and handmade was the thinnest, pre packaged sausage I've ever had even from any fast food establishment. The breakfast potatoe bags are sitting out for all to see they are frozen, pre made for the deep fryer trash. Everything is extremely expensive for such cheap ingredients, wait staff hovers around the tables held up by old timers drinking coffee and ignores anyone they don't know. The biscuits and gravy are almost $20 and worth about $2. Gravy was bland trash and the biscuits were not fresh
