I've just spent a hugely enjoyable week at Debla, having signed up for the over-50s course. For anyone seeking high-quality tuition in a fun, pressure-free atmosphere, it's a great place to study. On this occasion, the older students were allocated to classes related to their language level (so they joined younger students for lessons), but came together for cultural activities. I have done several classes at other schools in the past, including two in Málaga, and this was easily the most enjoyable and useful experience I have had. Lessons at those other schools were slightly intimidating, which knocked my confidence a little. But there was no such problem at Debla. I found the tutors to be not only talented and professional, but huge fun too. It was education with a smile, and there was always a really positive, happy and friendly atmosphere, which helped me to seize the opportunity to learn. There was a great mix of language and culture, and I and my group of student friends took part in everything that was on offer. We also spoke Spanish all the time, in and out of class. At the end of the week, two or three people said to me how they felt their Spanish had improved by throwing themselves into the experience in this way. I was delighted to come away from the week with my knowledge of the subjunctive in particular much enhanced, and with great memories of excellent tutors and lovely students. Debla is a special place and I will definitely be back in the future. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Die Atmosphäre dort ist sehr familiär, was das Lernen besonders angenehm macht. Außerdem nehmen sich die Lehrer immer Zeit, um individuelle Probleme und Wünsche zu besprechen und darauf einzugehen. Ich kann die Sprachschule wirklich nur empfehlen!

I cannot recommend Debla enough for studying Spanish! A small school in a beautiful location and professional and friendly staff overall. Especially the teachers are worth highlighting: highly skilled, kind, funny and passionate about making sure you learn as much as possible during your stay. Besides, the surroundings offer great opportunities for trying out the local culture during your spare time. I have attended classes at the school on several occasions and will definitely come back!

La mia esperienza a Debla è stata fortemente positiva: la scuola offre una vista meravigliosa sul mare e si trova in una posizione ottima in quanto non dista molto dalla spiaggia. Il personale è molto disponibile e i professori sono estremamente energici e simpatici. Perciò è il posto giusto per migliorare le proprie conoscenze dello spagnolo!

I cannot recommend Debla enough for studying Spanish. I truly cannot express how great and helpful everyone at Debla is ! Everyone is extremely professional and passionate about their job which made the learning experience even more enjoyable. I'm just reaching the end of a 2 week Spanish language course. It has been a wonderful experience and I feel my Spanish comprehension has improved considerably. The location of the school is very central and everything you need, including the beach, is nearby. Malaga has good weather almost all year round and the people are very friendly and helpful. I am extremely grateful that I got to improve my Spanish with Debla. This was an amazing opportunity and experience that I will never forget. I’ve met wonderful people at Debla that I wish to stay in contact with. 10/10!

Mein Aufenthalt an der Debla-Sprachschule war eine unglaublich tolle Erfahrung. Sowohl der Unterricht an der Schule, als auch meine Gastfamilie als Unterkunft waren absolut großartig. Nur zu empfehlen, für jeden der Lust hat, in die spanische Sprache und Kultur reinzuschnuppern oder seine Sprachkenntnisse zu vertiefen!! Würde es jederzeit wieder machen.

It has been an amazing experience to study Spanish in Malaga at Debla. Everything has been perfectly arranged, I had a great accommodation located in the city center and the teachers at the school are very good and enthousiastic. I improved my Spanish rapidly and met great people from all over the world during my stay in Malaga, which is a perfect city to live that has everything. The city is also very close to other cities like Sevilla and Cordoba, where you go to on an excursion arranged by the school. All in all, I would recommend everyone to go to Debla for a language course!

I had an awesome experience at Debla Malaga for the 4 weeks I was there. The teachers were super warm and welcoming, and the school itself was very well organised and in a beautiful location. I very much enjoyed the many extra-curricular activities on offer, which were really enjoyable and very easy to join up to. I would highly recommend Debla Malaga for their high-quality teaching in a beautiful and easy going environment. I hope I can return again!

人生最难忘的一段“旅行”，我在这里度过了8个月的时间，Amaya, Juanito, Marisa, Pepe, Tony，每一个老师都像亲人一样，寓教于学，关怀备至。马拉加这座城市有着无与伦比的地中海气候，而debla地理位置也刚好在市中心附近的半山腰上，俯瞰整个海港，也让我课余放松不少。我在这里的8个月时间里从A1一直学到了B2，整个过程都是小班教学，一半语法一半口语，还有平时各种课外活动，所以不光能在课堂里学到知识，更能通过这些多元的活动真正融入西班牙文化，我私认为这才是真正的学习一门语言的有效途径。希望Debla越办越好，也希望有一天能够重回debla再上一次课😚😘

I had an excellent week at Debla and only wish I'd booked to attend longer. The school is relaxed but professional, the teachers vary in styles and personalities so you never get bored. The office staff are also just as friendly and very helpful. The daily excursions are fun and reasonably priced. The school is just out of the centre but very close to local bus routes. You can see the sea from the balcony which is testament to the hill you need to walk up to get to the school! Not really a problem, but something to be aware of if you're not very mobile! I felt an improvement to my Spanish after just one week and I would definitely recommend Debla. I would go back again in a heartbeat.

Super szkoła językowa. Byłem w niej 9 tygodni w lipcu i sierpniu 2021, od B2 do C1. Polecam na tydzień, dwa, trzy czy na całe wakacje. Czym dłużej tym lepiej. Przygotowanie lekcji super, profesorowie dają możliwość pracy nad częścią gramatyczną i konwersacją, której potrzebują uczniowie. Humor i sposób prowadzenia lekcji przez profesorów perfekt, sale nowoczesne. Możliwość poznania wspaniałych ludzi i przy odrobinie odwagi komunikowania w języku hiszpańskim kurs językowy można przenieść na ulicę, plaże i korzystać z tego czasu do maximum. Świetne położenie, możliwość uzupełnienia kofeiny, wody i cukru na miejscu. W sekretariacie zawsze wielka gotowość w rozwiązaniu wątpliwości i pomoc. Szkoła w kooperacji organizuje każdego dnia ciekawe atrakcje i wycieczki w weekendy. Przy dłuższym pobycie, możliwość zwiedzenia Andaluzji. Ich habe nichts, was ich als Kritik ausüben könnte. vllt nur es war im Sommer sehr heiß, aber da hatten Sie in der Schule kein Einflüß drauf :) Super Profes, die auf die Fragen und sprachlicher Not der Studenten eingehen. Räumigkeiten perfekt, Bedienung und Informationen auf dem besten Nivoue. Schule organisiert viele Möglichkeiten, die Zeit danach, oder am WE schön zu verbringen. Disfruté mucho las dos semanas que pasé en Debla. Los profesores son excelentes. Saben equilibrar bien la gramática, lo cuál no es fácil , y los ejercicios escritos y orales. Hay pocos estudiantes en la clase, así aprender es más fácil. El ambiente es muy agradable. Todo el personal de la escuela quiere ayudar a los estudiantes. No sé si he mejorado mi español pero tengo más confianza en mi capacidad de hablar y lo entiendo bastante bien. Habría necesitado más tiempo para mejorar más. Quizá volveré el año que viene pero por más tiempo. Gracias a todos. En français maintenant: J’ai beaucoup apprécié mes deux semaines de cours à l’école Debla. Les professeurs sont excellents. Ils savent doser la grammaire, pas facile, et les exercices écrits et oraux. Il y avait peu d’étudiants dans ma classe ce qui facilitait l’apprentissage. L’ambiance de l’école et dans les classes est très agréable. Tout le personnel de l’école est toujours prêt à aider. Je ne sais pas vraiment si j’ai amélioré mon espagnol mais j’ai davantage confiance à le parler et je le comprends assez bien. Il aurait fallu davantage de temps pour apprendre. I'm so happy that I chose Debla for my first ever spanish course in another country. The teachers, especially Pepe, are the Best! Funny, knowledgeable and passionate. The lessons are always interactive with a lot of conversation. Grammatics and important concepts are teached in a way that does not feel dry at all. I loved the more intimate atmosphere of the school, because it's not that big. School building as well as classrooms are well equipped. There are various fun activities offered each week. I'm already sad, that I only had time for a one week course, but I learned so much nonetheless! Thank you Debla!

My experience at Debla was awesome! I took a two-week-long C1 intensive course. All three teachers I had had their own unique, full-of-energy teaching styles. The daily walk by the sea from the shared apartment to the school made my stay even more memorable.

I completed two weeks of work experience in this school, and from my perspective, it was a wonderful school. The staff were very supportive and friendly and created an atmosphere that I felt very comfortable in. The school itself isn’t big, but in this case they prioritised quality over quantity. The school has a very bright and airy interior which provides good shelter from the Spanish heat and it has lovely views of sea. Lastly, it’s very well-maintained and I can tell that the teachers take a lot of pride in this school.

Highly Recommend Debla cursos de español! As a former student at Debla, I can confidently say that this is one of the best language learning experiences I’ve ever had. From the amazing administrative team to the outstanding teachers, everything about Debla exceeded my expectations. I spent three weeks at DEBLA this past December, from the 2nd to the 20th, taking the super-intensive course from 9 AM to 3 PM. I joined the A2 level class, and it was truly an incredible experience. The atmosphere was dynamic, professional, and incredibly motivating. When I first arrived, I struggled to understand Spanish, and speaking felt like an impossible task. But thanks to the incredible support from my teachers - Amaya, Juan Antonio, Encarna, Almu, and the other teacher who were equally professional. I gradually gained the confidence to speak fluently with native speakers. Each teacher had a unique teaching style, which kept the classes engaging and enjoyable. What sets Debla apart is the variety of experiences they offer outside the classroom. We practiced speaking with locals through quick interviews, which was a fantastic way to immerse ourselves in the language. I also participated in a Flamenco course, and the dance teacher was truly professional. Debla provides plenty of activities beyond the lessons, making the learning experience even more enriching and enjoyable. I can’t wait to return to Málaga and continue my Spanish studies at Debla. Sehr tolle Sprachschule. Kleine Klassen, sehr humorvolle und sympathische LehrerInnen welche den Unterricht abwechslungsreich gestaltet haben. Alle zwei Stunden wechseln die Lehrer. Es gibt kleine Pausen zwischendurch, In denen man auf den verschiedenen Terrassen oder im Garten entspannen kann. Es gibt eine kleine Cafeteria. Die Schule befindet sich auf einem Hügel und man muss täglich den Hügel besteigen, was bei hohen Temperaturen etwas anstrengend war. Ich würde jederzeit wieder zu der Sprachschule gehen.

2023 habe ich 2 Wochen den Kurs 50+ besucht,es war ein einmaliges Erlebnis. Super nette Lehrer und nette Leute kennengelernt. In diesem Jahr habe ich 1 Woche Kurs nur mit jungen Studenten verbracht,ich wurde als älteste gut aufgenommen. Was mich positiv überraschte,dass fast alle Lehrer/innen mich vom letzten Jahr auch mit Namen wiedererkannt haben! Lage der Schule , Unterricht, Lehrer/innen wirklich toll. Ich kann Debla nur empfehlen und komme bestimmt wieder!

I studied in Debla for two weeks and my Spanish improved a lot. The atmosphere at the school is amazing, the teachers are knowledgeable and can really deliver the syllabus, more importantly they are so nice and helpful. In addition I made lots of international friends. Really recommend if you are looking for a school in Málaga.

I studied Spanish here for a couple of months, starting from 0 - didn’t know a word. After 5 months, I was already confident enough to do job interviews in Spanish. Of course, the learning itself is the most important part of going to a school, but what made the difference for me was the amazing team. The professors really take the time to understand each student’s weaknesses and work on them in a smooth, encouraging way. Beyond the classes, just walking through the door every day, being greeted by the whole team (not only the professors), made the place feel like home for a while. Truly a welcoming and professional environment. Highly recommended!

Warm, professionell, lustig, produktiv und verrückt sind nur ein paar der Adjektive, die mir spontan im Zusammenhang mit Debla einfallen. Wie bei jeder Sprachschule liegt ihr Schwerpunkt natürlich auf dem Unterrichten einer Sprache und nicht auf der Belustigung ihrer Schüler. Aber es scheint, dass sie nicht anders können, als den Unterricht unterhaltsam zu gestalten😊 Und mit unterhaltsam meine ich nicht nur das übliche „interessant machen“, nein, ich spreche von Lachanfällen innerhalb und außerhalb des Kurses. In der einen Minute sitzt man im Kurs, in der nächsten ist es Zeit zu gehen und man hat den Kopf voller spanischer Vokabeln und toller Erinnerungen. Und wenn man es darauf anlegt, wird man auch in den geheimen Club von Wörtern eingeführt, die vielleicht nicht in einem traditionellen Lehrbuch stehen, die aber jeder irgendwie wissen will und die man sich komischerweise immer am leichtesten merken kann. Ich schätze, ihr wisst, welche Art von Wörtern ich meine😊Einfach nachfragen. Die Mehrheit der Lernenden ist entweder sehr jung -25 oder älter 50+, was dazu führen kann, dass man sich bei der Anmeldung ein wenig wie ein Außenseiter fühlt, wenn man zwischen 30 und 49 Jahre alt ist. Das ist allerdings ein generelles Problem beim Sprachen lernen und nichts Debla-spezifisches. Es liegt einfach in der Natur der Sache. Debla schafft es jedoch, dass sich jeder einbezogen fühlt, egal wie alt man ist. Die Kurse werden nicht aufgeteilt und alle lernen gemeinsam. Das mag vielleicht etwas kontraproduktiv erscheinen, denn viele Leute denken, je jünger man ist, desto schneller lernt man. Aber das ist ein Irrglaube. Ihr Ansatz der Inklusion funktioniert. Und wenn man an tollen Ausflügen teilnehmen möchten, kann man sich bei Debla ganz einfach anmelden. Man sieht ein wenig von der Umgebung und findet einfach Freunde, da Lernende von verschiedenen Schulen zusammenkommen. Wenn das nichts ist, besteht auch noch die Möglichkeit zu kochen, Gitarre zu lernen, zu tanzen und etwas über spanische Literatur zu lernen. Mein persönlicher Favorit. Leider reicht mein Spanischlevel dafür noch nicht aus. Aber ich werde definitiv wiederkommen. Ich habe auch eine Schule in Madrid besucht und kann zumindest die beiden Schulen vergleichen und Debla gewinnt mit großem Abstand. Ich werde Madrid mit dem Gefühl verlassen, mein Spanisch verbessert zu haben, aber nicht zurückkehren. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, wieder nach Malaga zu kommen und meine spanische Deblafamilie wiederzusehen. Ein großer Unterschied. Und natürlich ist die Stadt auch nicht zu verachten. Sonne, Meer, Architektur, Kultur und jede Menge Bars und Restaurants. Ein Traum.

Jmenuji se Michal, jsem z Česka, v lednu 2026 (14 dní: 11. - 24.) jsem poprvé ve svém životě absolvoval jazykový pobyt v zahraničí a tímto bych se rád podělil o svou zkušenost. Cítím upřímnou vděčnost za to, že jsem si vybral právě Deblu, protože od prvního dne, kdy má bytost přistála v Málaga, až po ten poslední, kdy jsem odlétal domů se cítil skvěle a hlavně v bezpečí. Na začátek bych zmínil fakt, že ovládám jen svůj rodný jazyk a ve Španělštině jsem byl začátečník, znalých prvotních základů, několika komunikačních frází a má slovní zásoba neměla dobrou úroveň. Už samotná přeprava (zaplatil jsem si transfer tam i zpět) z letiště na místo ubytování byla úžasná, protože vše proběhlo přesně dle domluvy a řidič jménem Pepe byl velmi příjemný, vstřícný i ochotný. Zvolil jsem ubytování ve sdíleném bytě, kde na mě čekal samostatný jednolůžkový pokoj a musím říci, že jsem u sebe vnímal (až na pár subjektivních pocitů) celkovou spokojenost, jak celý prostor vypadal. Společenská místnost, samotné pokoje, kuchyň i obě toaletní zařízení mají slušnou úroveň včetně vybavení, vše co jsem ke svému pobytu potřeboval bylo k dispozici. Dům má skvělou lokalitu, na pláž je to jen několik desítek metrů a klidnou chůzí je to blízko jak do historického centra, tak do samotné školy. Debla je fantastická škola, ve výjimečné lokalitě s perfektním zázemím včetně terasy i zahradou s výhledem na moře, charakteristická svou jedinečnou rodinnou atmosférou, okamžitě to na vás dýchne. Krátce bych se svěřil s tím, že první den, koho jsem hned ráno ve škole potkal byl Juan Antonio (měl jsem tu čest už při online pohovoru) a bylo až neuvěřitelné, že mě poznal, ba co víc, pamatoval si i mé jméno. Přivítaní bylo z obou stran tak vřelé a srdečné, to jak na mě úžasně zapůsobil online, tak se osobně ještě znásobilo. Dodalo mi to odvahu. Rád bych zdůraznil, že ve stejném duchu jsou tam takto nastavení všichni lidé, jsou milí, vstřícní, ochotní, plní úsměvů a hlavně je znát, jak svoji práci mají rádi a dělají ji s nadšením. Samotná výuka byla pro mě velmi přínosná, hodně jsem se naučil i za tu relativně krátkou dobu, hlavně pochopit a užívat správně slovesa - SER, ESTAR, HAY. Učení je věcné, ale zároveň velmi zábavné. Měl jsem tu čest sdílet společný výukový čas se čtyřmi učiteli - Encarna, Almudena, Pepe a Juan Antonio jsou dle mého názoru skvělí učitelé. Každý z nich je jedinečný svým charakterem, svou odlišnou metodou výuky, avšak mají jedno společné, a to, že svým přístupem a nadšením (zejména Pepe, ta jeho ENERGIE mě "učarovala") vás pozitivně motivují k učení a ke komunikaci (nejen ve škole). Jak jednotlivce, přes práci ve dvojicích, až po spolupráci ve skupině. Ve třídě se setkávají různí lidé, z různých koutů světa, s různými jazykovými dovednostmi a oni umí tu skupinu propojit i vést. Zároveň nechávají prostor k osobnímu vyjádření, zajímají se kdo jsme a odkud pocházíme, ale i oni jsou také otevření vůči nám svým životem i svými zkušenostmi. Tímto bych jim rád poděkoval za to, jací jsou, protože jsem u všech vnímal vzájemný respekt, jako člověk k člověku. Po celou dobu jsem cítil tu přátelskou atmosféru. I všichni administrativní pracovníci včetně samotného ředitele a ředitelky jsou úžasní, usměvaví, pracovití a ochota radostně s čímkoliv pomoci je příkladně profesionální. Rád bych zmínil Lidii, protože s ní jsem komunikoval nejčastěji. Všem děkuji za čas i péči, kterou jste mi věnovali, moc si toho vážím. Určitě také musím poděkovat všem (i když nejsou tolik vidět) uklízečům či uklízečkám za jejich práci, protože díky nim je každý den všude čisto. Ještě krátce k mimoškolním aktivitám, jejich výběr je zajímavý a pestrý. Nebudu konkrétní, ať máte v případě studia překvapení, ale opravdu je z čeho vybírat. Každou jsem si náramně užil ve všech směrech a ohledech. Rád bych touto cestou ještě jednou poděkoval všem lidem v Deble, jakým způsobem reprezentujete svou školu, protože zážitky a zkušenosti které jsem u vás nabral jsou výjimečné a vlastně slovy nepřenositelné. Debla spanish school in malaga was a very good learning experience. As someone who comes from Ireland, I have never met another person that speaks spanish so I didnt have any spanish to rely on. However, the teachers her speak really good English and have helped me whenever necessary.

This is probably one of the best places in Spain to study Spanish!! From the location to the people and of-course the experiences. This Spanish immersion programme helped me become more confident in speaking Spanish in just two weeks!! I met the most incredible and sweetest people, and made some really good friends. The location is the best you can get, roughly 15 minutes walking away from the beach and only 10 minutes on the bus from the city centre. The school also helped me find affordable accommodation , I stayed with a host family. ( this is extremely useful as hotels can be expensive during peak times in summer ). I would definitely recommend this Programm to anyone learning to speak the language and they accommodate for all ages and levels.

Die Lehrkräfte sind super motivierend und kompetent, ich habe sehr viel Spaß im Sprachkurs. Es wird sehr darauf geachtet, dass man alles versteht und daher arbeitet man von sich aus super gerne mit! Die Sprachschule selbst ist wirklich schön!

Debla es un lugar formidable en todos los sentidos. Es un sitio precioso, amplio y moderno, cuenta con clases al aire libre pero también interiores. La calidad de la enseñanza en la escuela es excepcional, aquí se proporciona una formación fructífera, variada y real para los alumnos adaptándose siempre a las necesidades y al ritmo de aprendizaje de cada estudiante . Te sientes como en casa desde el primer minuto. Os aconsejo que si estáis buscando un lugar en el que aprender español y además disfrutar de una bonita experiencia vayáis a Debla.

Me gustó mucho cómo fueron mis clases. Me ayudaron a mejorar mi expresión oral y mis habilidades gramaticales del idioma español. Mis profesores fueron Pepe, Encarna y Trini. La forma en que explicaban era mucho mejor que la que se usa en las escuelas y no podría haber sido mejor.

La escuela por extranjeros es sin dudas perfecta, yo fui hace 4 anos y me enamoré de la estructura y sobretodo de los profesores, muy amables y divertidos pero la cosa màs importante es que te transmiten pronto la lengua y cultura espanola. Fue una experiencia tan inolvidable que el ano siguiente volvì otra vez para mejorar el nivel de espanol. Aconsejo a todos los extranjeros que quieren aprender el espanol de hacer una experiencia en la escuela DEBLA. Quedais siempre en mi corazòn!

Tuve un verano inolvidable y se lo recomiendo a todos los niños que quieran aprender español. I took two weeks of Spanish lessons with Debla in August 2023 and learned a lot. The teachers are nice and extracurricular activities are well organised. It is good to know that the school has an agreement with German universities. As a result, 90% of the students are German. This is not a problem however it's good to know that it is a select number of very intelligent German students. These students are selected by their professor and may take Spanish lessons at Debla at the expense of German funds. Other students like me are added to a class, which makes the pace and level extremely high. I paid €410 for two weeks in August 2023 and, despite the high level, wanted to take another two weeks of lessons with Debla in May 2024. However, I see on the website that the pric

All the reviews above are mostly from those who attended for a few weeks for a holiday from Europe. I don't recommend Debla for long-term students or the long-term intensive programme. Classes aren't tailored for long-term students and will often repeat classes in other groups. They don't have staff for visa support and they aren't compassionate to students outside the EU and it made the experience very anxiety-inducing and stressful and made me feel vulnerable. Controlling management with threats to the foreign office for reduced attendance. I spoke with other language school students and their schools were more compassionate and flexible. Surely the safety, health and wellbeing of your students needs to come first. Particularly those who come from outside the EU and don't have the security of home with them. Out of touch completely with student safety and wellbeing.
