Best experience ever. Staff was awesome. Atmosphere was incredible, felt like I was fine dining. The food was incredibly insane. It was so fun to cook our own food. We had the brisket, Hawaiian BBQ steak, and the ribs. I couldn't decide which was better. Really great salad. Never have done this type of dining before and our server explained it very nicely to us.

I heard the lines can be up to 2 hours or more so we arrived at 5 PM. The wait was less than five minutes. The restaurant only takes reservations for 8 or more persons. It's a first come first serve. To avoid long wait times, I suggest going before 12 pm or before 4-6 PM. I went on a Saturday. By 6 PM the restaurant was half filled and by 6:30 PM, there was a waiting line. Our Server was quick and accurate with our order. Some of the dishes came within five minutes and tables were frequently cleared of dirty dishes. It was clockwork - staff was efficient - each person knew exactly what their job was and completed it with courtesy and professionalism. To gain a good experience, you need to know your cuts of meats - some parts of the animal are tougher than others. The cut of meat you choose will determine your dining experience. If you don't know, ask your server. Non marinated meats are good with all the side dishes given to you. Marinated meats are good to eat with rice, lettuce, rice paper and noodles. The only drawback is the women's toilet stalls. They are so tiny and small that I can hardly squeeze myself into the stall without bumping my knee - clearance from stall door to toilet bowl is probably 12 inches or less.

Daikon Korean BBQ in Vallejo is a great place to get some Korean BBQ. We made a reservation for lunch. The lunch price is well worth it! The service was friendly, nice and quick. The place is very well designed. The menu has everything you can think of and also all you can eat sushi with the supreme menu. I recommend the supreme ayce! They have a full bar also. Just be ready to eat when you go! We will be going back on the regular. Thank you Daikon for the wonderful lunch!

Traveled from Chico with my wife to visit this new restaurant, and it couldn't have been ANY better! Yes, the wait was 15 minutes, but it was well worth it as we were guided to our seat. A small, intimate table was waiting, with small appetizers snaking around a clean grill. We perused the menu and chose the Supreme Acye, which allowed us to order the all-you-can-eat with all the options and a 2-hour time limit. The raw food arrived very quickly, and we set about cooking our meats and vegetables while enjoying our appetizers. While cooking, the waitstaff made absolutely sure we had all we needed, took orders for the next round of food, and cleared the table of any empty dishes. In between rounds, they replaced the grill top to ensure that our food tasted fresh with each piece of meat, seafood, and vegetables we ordered. The experience was phenomenal, and we ate everything we ordered... happily!! The photos do NO justice as it's better in person than reading about them. Stick to the beef, all the beef, and then switch to the poultry, pork, and seafood. The marinated daikon and mung beans were exceptional, and the Bloody Mary was stiff and thirst quenching. This place is only open for dinner, but once inside and waited on by the LARGE amount of staff, you'll appreciate the atmosphere and realize this restaurant doesn't NEED to be open any other time. A definite repeat option!!

It’s taken me forever to actually try the first kbbq place in Vallejo and I think it was worth the wait! This was the old Black Angus and I’m glad they kept the original bull and the bar area. Service is great, the workers are very friendly and honest. The portions of the meat are on the smaller side but I think it’s fine because towards the end people tend to not finish as much and it doesn’t hurt having to order more. They have 2 options, premium for $34.99 and supreme for $42.99, I don’t think there’s that large of a difference for both. The sides are pretty good and a little authentic, and the meats are good, it’s nice and clean, modern, and if it’s someone’s birthday you can let the server know and they even can play a special song for the birthday person! I’m happy that we finally have a kbbq place in the Vallejo area. You can make a reservation and for larger groups you can’t get seated until everyone is there.

Newly opened Korean BBQ AYCE place here in Vallejo! I was really excited when they finally opened, and quite honestly, I was looking forward to trying this place out. I've been waiting for a good reason to go visit them, so my friends and I decided to get together and try this place out. We got to the place early since we heard that it could be packed, especially on the weekends, so plan ahead, more so if you have a big group with you. The food is great, lots of typical Korean fare like bulgogi and kimchi, but I recommend to go further than the usual and try their different types and cuts of pork, beef, and seafood. Most of the marinated meats are 🔥 and all of their side dishes are very good. But all of these will account for nothing without their excellent service! They're very attentive to all of your needs, and they are very quick to take orders and do refills. I can't recommend this place enough just on service alone! You all must try this at the very least once... then come back since they're a new gem here in Vallejo! Update: My wife surprised me with an early dinner back here at Daikon for dad's day! And as per their usual, service is impeccable and on point. Shout out to my guy Jared for the excellent service. Thanks for making our dining experience fun, satisfying and enjoyable.

Our server was the best super kind and patient. We were there for our anniversary and we were happy we could bring our kids the ban chan was a little more mild then our previous visit but all and all the food was great. Everyone was very kind and friendly. I am so happy Vallejo got a Ayce Korean spot

I was so excited when I saw they were opening this restaurant closer to the Bay Area, as I had only ever gone to the one in Sacramento. The food is amazing, and a great Korean bbq experience! Our favorite dishes are the cheese corn, the boneless galbi, and the garlic soy thin cut pork belly! Yum!!

Been here a few times and I'm so happy Daikon came to town! They had a bit of a rough start, but most restos tend to need a bit to find their rhythm. The service is excellent, meat is delish, banchan yum ,atmosphere great! We'll keep coming as long as they keep delivering. Also, shout out to Charles for the top notch service!

My family came here late night close to closing and we felt we had excellent service by the staff. Jame was our server and she was friendly and helpful with all the questions we had about the menu. There are many different cuts of meat and seafood available, which are all way better than other KBBQ spots I've been to.

Daikon Vallejo Korean Buffet. We shared the soft opening moment on 15th Nov. The pandemic and tipping dilemma can dampen the eating out experience; but I can say we lifted our guard and ventured into the Korean grilling experience. There is a 2 hour all you can eat experience so great idea to plan your choices appetizers, protein, sides. My party was two; we did two rounds, ordering the food was enough with Korean healthy side dishes one requirement is YOU pay for the amount of waste not eaten.  The manager was a great fluence with customer service even our server Chris was great; checked in on our needs, refills, reordering as part of grilling all you can eat choices. The clock starts 2 hours after the order is placed with the server.  More splendid experience is knowing your Korean dishes for grilling; timing the cooking makes an enjoyable or burnt experience. Definitely share the grilling otherwise it will be a resentful eating, takers and no givers. This is to cook or be cooked on the grill and learn quality food with healthy eating. Put thicker foods in the center/ thinner away and the ready to devour on the edge of the grill. Eat grilled stuff with chopstick pinch of side dish (Banchi) Balance the greasy that may come off grilling. Also clean the rich full flavor by eating the sides and healthy for guts. yes, it may be pricey but for cost for Health, Fresh ingredients, cooking and clean atmosphere, customer service is pluses worthy for the end price. Our food order appetizer: seafood shrimp in kimchi soup perfect for cold weather, crispy calamari, crispy chicken. The former was not cooked all the way but putting it on the grill fixed that issue all well. Protein: chicken chili, pork jowl, garlic butter prawns, spicy Bulgogi marinaded prime steak, rib fingers Side dishes: fish cake, assorted vegs, mushroom, Fish cakes is thin and lite very tasty vegs and mushrooms tastes much better grilled than raw. Healthy gastronomy is enough that you can get your blood work done the next day and still get a good bill of health., We should hashtag how many patrons have the cleanest empties including licking your plate. Suggest a seasonal soup or dish (for cold / warm weather) to warm up our Eating hearts? Plus one said to add we were so thrilled with the experience we got home and fell asleep to dreams for future experience at Daikon soon.

If you're craving an exceptional Korean BBQ experience in Vallejo, **Daikon Korean BBQ** is a must-visit destination. From the moment you step into the restaurant, you're greeted with a warm, inviting ambiance that sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The Food Daikon's menu is a true celebration of Korean BBQ mastery. The variety and quality of the meats are impeccable, with every cut perfectly marinated and bursting with flavor. The beef bulgogi and galbi (short ribs) were melt-in-your-mouth tender, while the pork belly offered just the right balance of smoky and savory. The seafood options, like the marinated shrimp and squid, were equally fresh and perfectly seasoned. What sets Daikon apart is their attention to detail: the banchan (side dishes) were plentiful and vibrant, ranging from crisp kimchi to creamy potato salad, all replenished generously. Their dipping sauces, particularly the ssamjang and sesame oil with salt, perfectly complemented the grilled meats. The Service The staff at Daikon delivers top-tier service. Our server Stephanie L. was attentive without being intrusive, taking the time to explain the menu and grilling techniques for first-timers. The grills were swapped out frequently to ensure a clean, smoke-free experience, and every request was met with a smile. Stephanie L. strikes the perfect balance between efficiency and genuine hospitality, making you feel like a valued guest. The Atmosphere Daikon offers a modern yet cozy setting, complete with sleek grills at every table and well-thought-out ventilation, ensuring a comfortable dining experience. The vibe is lively and social, making it an ideal spot for gatherings with friends or family. The tasteful decor, coupled with the gentle hum of sizzling meat, creates an inviting and dynamic atmosphere. Overall Experience Daikon Korean BBQ in Vallejo is a gem that combines high-quality ingredients, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I have never been for a Korean BBQ experience, and as my first, it was amazing. The service here would have easily gotten a 6 out of 5. As a first time, figuring out what to order is challenging as you have to figure out portions, but oh my, sooo much food. Cooking at the table was great fun.

Diema “Chef Dee”

This place is a little pricey but worth it, especially if you have a healthy appetite. We ordered the Supreme option. The marinated ribeye and sweet chili wings were 2 of my favorites. Clean, attentive staff and visually appealing location. Would definitely return.

Have been here 10+ times as a small group and as a large one. Always a great atmosphere. The food is always spot on. The service has almost always been 5 star. My only gripe was I wish their large group tables were closer it’s hard to all socialize when they’re farther apart. Have never had to wait for more than 15 mins. I used to drive to Sac from Fairfield for KBBQ and am super happy that I’ve got a great place just 10 mins away!

Had a fun bday dinner with my daughter 9/13. The food was amazing, especially the marinated proteins we chose. Lots of food for two ladies so come hungry. The service has to be complimented. Each staff member we encountered including the busses had a kind word or greeting. Spoke with the manager to compliment everything when he visited our table assisting the wait staff. My daughter and SIL returned this week for her bday 9/17. As I live alone, I would love a modified downsized menu for a single person to enjoy.

Fantastic atmosphere; every meat dish (marinated or unmarinated) was delicious; service was superb, attentive, and friendly. The value was utterly amazing for an AYCE KBBQ restaurant as well, and the quality of the meat (which, IMO, is by far the most important things) was of extremely high quality. Probably one of the best AYCE BBQ places I've every been. All the negative reviews were from people who just have no idea how AYCE works and think they can just take home leftovers, which wouldn't work at all for an AYCE restaurant. Really glad we stopped by here, and I hope to come back again sometime!

This was a first for me. My daughter and grandchildren took me to Daikon for my very first Korean BBQ experience. I was not disappointed. The service was exceptional and the foods were very good. My granddaughter and grandson did the meat cooking. All I had to do was to eat and have a great time. And, a great time I certainly had. Just an overall exceptional experience! I will will go back!!!!!!@

We went for lunch. We showed up a little before opening and there was already a line. They took our names down so that when they opened we were seated immediately. Our server came right away, brought out the menu, explained the basics of the menu, made some recommendations and took our drink order. Throughout the course of the meal, the wait staff was very prompt, checked on us regularly and we wanted for nothing. The food was standard fare. The cooks, however, were amazing! I can't give enough credit to those guys. Overall, great place. The menu is a little weird, you have to pay more to unlock "premium items".

I really love Daikon. I'm so glad they chose to come to Vallejo. Upon our last visit, we just had tasty sushi and drinks at the Bar. It was perfect. The staff is just great! I can't wait to go back and have another grill experience.

We were a large party of 12. We did the Premium menu. It was a lot of food. But we made good time with cooking and eating. Service was quick with getting us more to grill and when we asked for a grill change, that happened quickly and seamlessly. We used our whole 2 hours but felt like everyone had more than enough to eat, including my football playing 15 yo boy who ate a whole serving bowl of rice by himself. And everything was DELICIOUS. As a note, I cannot have MSG/yeast extract and the server was able to steer me away from the one dish (the appetizer dumplings) that had it. It's always nice when a restaurant can help you have a good experience with your family. ❤️

Update 11.14.24: (Giving all 5 stars!) Went on a bro-date with my good friend, and from the beginning, it was an awesome experience! Our server (I think Ken was his name?) was great and attentive. He made sure we were taken care of, and even cracked a few jokes! We're gonna have to come back with our families! Thank you Daikon for this experience! BTW my buddy loved it too and wants to come back. Not sure what happened with this particular experience, but service was a bit lacking. This was one of me and my wife's dinner dates, and were hoping for a great experience. Our server, after getting our initial order, seemed to disappear and only came sporadically. When she did come back, she forgot a couple items. We were being very patient and never got upset but we did notice the lack of service. Hope next time it'll be better. Food was awesome though! We ordered the Supreme menu and were not disappointed.

My new “go to” for Korean BBQ! Had such a good first impression with quality of meats and excellent customer service that we’ve returned a couple of times already! My recent visit was just choice for my birthday with group of great friends. The service is excellent; Manager Tim is very accommodating and personable. We’ve had Tia as our server a few times and she is the best! She handles the demands of the orders from a small family group to large party groups sooo well!! She is part of the reason why we go back! We’ve had many different Korean BBQ experiences up and down California ( North & South) but Daikon is our #1 now!! So glad we live close by too!! Again best meat quality, best customer service, AND the drinks from the bar are always spot on!! Thank you Daikon and will be seeing you soon!!!🙌🏽

Went for an early Father's Day lunch. Service was spot on. Had a great selection of meats and seafood, and all were well seasoned. We enjoyed the crispy calamari appetizer and a couple of dirty vodka martinis. We ordered lettuce leafs to wrap some of the meat choices. Very good meal.

Great experience to go and grill and drink and talk!Jami A. provided us with amazing, attentive and kind service throughout the meal. All the meats were quite tasty. Some of my friends were lazy so I ended up being the grill master which was great for me. Chef first. Drinks were hella good but about a dollar more than expected but hey, inflation. Also I’ll pay the premium if we can keep an awesome place like this in our area. Met the manager- (Jim?) Great hospitality and on the ball. All the staff even from delivering the plates to the table to clearing them were awesome. One dude named Ian was one of them, so yeah thanks for making it just a fun chill night!

This place used to be the Black Angus which closed a couple years ago. The place was lit on a rainy, Saturday night. We tried the less-expensive "premium" choice and were not disappointed. We tried the lemon pepper chicken wings for appetizer and it was so yummy we had to stop after eating a couple because we're gonna be full. The best meat was probably the spicy calamari - it was very tender and flavorful. Other Korean BBQ places don't have this. My next favorite was the spicy pork belly... we had multiple servings of these. Other good stuff were the spicy pork/beef bulgogi, pork shoulder, boneless short ribs, hawaiian marinated steak and top blade steak. The service was excellent... our server was very efficient and always asking us what else we wanna try and very quick serving what we ordered. We will definitely come back to this place and try the "supreme" option for the prime steak and ribeye.

I absolutely love this place! It’s my favorite restaurant. I’ve been over 20 times! My birthday was yesterday and my fiancé proposed to me! Hands down the best meat quality I've had at an AYCE KBBQ in the bay area. The brisket is clean, the short ribs are high-end, and the service is fast. If you want a 'premium' experience without the premium price tag, go to Daikon.

I absolutely love this place! It’s my favorite restaurant. I’ve been over 20 times! My birthday was yesterday and my fiancé proposed to me! The morning staff that was working assisted him with my surprise! They made my proposal perfect and it was a time to remember. I highly recommend this place for lunch, dinner or special occasions. It’s great.

There’s nothing authentic about this place. The bbq is a 100% americanized version of real Korean bbq. With that being said the food itself overall was still good and the service was good as well. The bonchon wasn’t bad and the kimchi was pretty decent. The steamed eggs were sweet when they’re suppose to be savory and the kimchi jiggae wasn’t bad. Being Korean I’m gonna be more critical than the average reviewer.

We decided to meet her for a family lunch and were able to get a back table. The table had two bbq grills. Don’t eat before you go here because you need to eat a lot of good to get your money worth. I thought I could just order sushi, but everyone at the table has to get the BBQ. Also, everyone has to get the same level of AYCE BBQ. Actually, I understand why they have these rules in place, but it’s still frustrating. The sushi was very delicious as were the ribs and pork belly. The fresh veggies were a nice touch. Plenty of side dishes were on the table, but none were refilled. It’s a good place to visit at least once. Our server was very very helpful and patient with us. Thank you. 🫰🏾

Came here for a work event and everything tasted great! The first order of meat did take quite a while to come out, though… like 10-15 minutes. I think the steak was bit thicker/chewier than my liking but it may just be preference. The side dishes were quite tasty! A lovely atmosphere to meet up with friends and chat. Located in a lot with plenty of parking.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, no wait. Great value for the price, lots of meat and appetizer options. Service was attentive in refilling our banchans and taking our next meat orders. I like their banchans, brisket, galbi and mini sesame balls. The tables on the sides have the exhaust. We sat in the middle section and those didn’t have the exhaust. Also the stalls in the women’s bathroom are tight; barely any room to close the door. And the floor in the bathroom was super sticky.

Honestly, some of the food was so-so and the sushi options sort of felt a little over the top. I really enjoyed what we did get and would definitely come again, it's just not something I would go out of my way for or anything. Spicy ramen and fries were amazing, the garlic pork pieces were The Best. The sides were also tasty, so 10/10 for all of those. It fell short with the beef being too thin that it was unpleasant and the veggies being HUGE and hard to cook.

This restaurant really took me by surprise. I’d never thought that a kbbq restaurant in Vallejo would have been this impressive. We went for the Premiuim AYCE option and we agreed that the meat quality was incredible. The calamari is a must! We ordered four servings of the calamari and wished we had the stomach space for more lol. Our server was very attentive our needs. Our only complaint was that we wished the front would have been more transparent about the last call for orders as we learned shortly after dining that one specific side of the restaurant closed earlier than the other. We were seated around 8:30pm, got in maybe 1 order of appetizers and meat and was then told that the last call was 9:30pm despite the restaurant closing at 11pm. We really appreciated our server as she probably sensed that we weren’t too happy about the lack of communication regarding the last call for orders in the section we were seated, especially since we opted for the Premium AYCE option. She actually went out of her way to ensure we maximized our orders with what time we had remaining. Despite this, we still thought that the food was worth it. We’d definitely stop by here again when we’re in town. 😊

All the food was very fresh. I wish there was larger portions of the kimchi to start. The lettuce for wrapping and the rice were excellent, again they start off with too small of a portion of rice. The meat was very good, The service was outstanding, all of the service staff were moving constantly and very helpful.

TLWR; Good enough for a first visit to see if it's to your liking; the service can be quite slow as they are just getting started. Ok so I'll preface by saying I live in Concord where I already have two options for KBBQ. We got premium option as we don't usually do seafood when eating kbbq. In some ways Daikon is superior but I wouldn't say it's enough for me to come back personally. It's more expensive than the KBBQ options in Concord, and there is a toll so prob won't be back for those two reasons. The quality of everything was excellent except the Panchan. I'm a brisket and belly guy and they were on point for what I like. The portions of meat are fair but at the moment the service can be pretty slow when busy and some of the servers are still learning the rhythm of checking on their customers but everyone I spoke with and interacted with was super friendly. I will say in all fairness the server knew he was lagging and was apologetic and tried his best to hook us up, letting us order double and all that. The dipping sauces were fantastic better than the concord options I'd say. Meat quality was super solid. Grill was decent and got almost hot enough. Side dishes were superior to any kbbq place I've been. They are serving up legit wings here lol. It was super delicious and I recommend it if youre itching to try and new kbbq spot.

They dint have reservations but the wait isnt too long, we waited around 15min. The servers are super nice and helpful!! The food is good and they come to change the grills often. The brisket is good. The spicy bulgogi is good not really spicy but has a nice taste. The spicy ramen is simple but has a good flavor.

Depending on your preference for AYCE Korean BBQ, this place can be a hit or miss. If you enjoy the taste of meat then I would not recommend this place since a lot of their meat is marinated. The staff is nice and quick, but they are definitely still learning how to go about situations. It kind of sucks that their ice cream is behind the premium paywall, but Cold Stone is a few stores down and is ultimately better. They take your time talking to you, which can feel like you are not getting your moneys worth, but with how quick they are, I say it’s worth it. I also enjoy that the cheese corn was already cooked for our table.

Tasty barbecue.kimchee can improve and other side dishes.love the meat, it was marinated well. Appetizers are ok,except ramen noodles, too salty. Place was clean and cozy, the exhaust pan in each dining table was great.

We had the chance to try the lunch hour kbbq. It’s a great opportunity to try a location. Services was great and food was good. Food items were pretty much the same as other kbbq and it’s good. Lunch during weekdays seemed to be a quiet foot traffic so it’s a good time to go.

Cool spot. All you can eat. I've been to other KBBQ spots and I feel like portions were a little small for the small sides like kimchi etc. The rest was pretty good overall. Only bummer for me was their bar isn't fully stocked yet to serve the items on their menu. Service was great.

The beef short ribs bone in is a must-have here! Very delicious and tender. The salt and pepper wings were salty goodness. Lots to choose from. Service was a bit off. She forgot my brothers order twice. Other than that, it was enjoyable.

Food flavors were great. They could use a price down by lessening initial food volume/presentation. The price was fine for the amount of food brought even without the free refill option. However, the initial pile of food delivered was good for 3 women or 2 bodybuilding women. I could only handle a 3rd of the portions despite no refill requested. No take outs were allowed, so understandably, the rest of the food went to the trash. I found the whole process wasteful. That's probably why there weren't many customers. Despite the many empty seats, I was placed where there was a roof supporting pole right against the table. Safest place for an earthquake but slightly claustrophobic for me.

王亿银

The menu is quite extensive, but the seasoned meats were a bit salty. The service was very good and the grill plates were changed quickly.

My friends and I decided to pay a visit to this place we had not known existed in Vallejo. The staff were nice and accommodating. However, the food was definitely lacking. The beginning sides had little to no preparation done. For example, at other kbbq places, the mung sprouts are usually in some sort of sauce, these were not and had a spoiled sprout in the plate as well. The broccoli that was set on the table tasted like it was blanched and put into starchy water. The meat was a 3.5 out of 5. Some of the cuts left much to be desired, particularly one cut of pork. I don’t remember which one it was but it legitimately tasted like a cannabis wax cartridge. The rest of that serving had old pork as the taste was extremely unpleasant. I can’t speak for others but the grill we used had an uneven flame, essentially only one side worked. The only form of alcohol they had was soju which is fine, but they claim to have more on their website. Perhaps they just haven’t set up their bar up just yet but it would’ve been nice to get a heads up from the website or even the servers. Everything was okay so I’ll give it that. Most of the marinades tasted, for lack of a better term, store bought. I’d come back if they fixed all of the issues mentioned. Then maybe the price would be worth it. Solid if you really have the urge to eat kbbq and nowhere else to go

Went on a weekday, the food at this place was decent, and the atmosphere was truly enjoyable. However, I have to mention that the service was a bit lacking. It was noticeably slow, and they could definitely do a better job in this area. Considering that they are a new establishment, I wasn't overly upset about it. However, I do feel the need to point out that our order of rice required three reminders before it finally arrived, and few mistake on our order, they should add some call button for a service and add proportions of the food. Hopefully, they take customer feedback into account and work on improving their service. With some adjustments, this place has the potential to be even better."

They have a long way to go. The only korean bbq that ive been to that didnt have a “gochujang” guy gave me a tomato ketchup and serves you a week old(maybe) lettuce and 2 at once. We went at night.. vents were covering the lights, so you couldnt really see half of what you’re cooking. They were understaffed aswell, i asked another server and she said “im not your server” and smiled. I asked for dish out, he looked at it and walked away. Overall experience.. for the price we paid. It couldve been better. But theyre still new! Bet they’ll do a better job overtime.

Really just okay. I think the lunch would definitely be a good value, the regular pricing is just edging too much for value imo. A lot of the beef cuts are very thick and pre-marinated in a fairly unappetizing sauce that really makes you just not want to eat. The Hawaiian was pretty good, but the boneless short rib was especially difficult to eat flavor wise. Would have preferred slightly smaller portions. Even the "small" order of brisket was a sizeable amount. Not a lot of options to make your own dipping sauce. The ones they had were good, but I like to be able to get that flavor that is really palatable to me at a sauce bar or something. I don't eat pork so I can't weigh in on any of those. Shrimps were tasty, but 3/5 were very difficult to peel. Ramen appetizer was top ramen level. Ambient music was loud with a weird heavy bass. Killed the energy.

Great korean place. Stop by for my birthday dinner. There were some table that didn't have an fan over the table. So the smoke kept blowing my way. It was hard to enjoy the food. The food was delicious. The people working there was very polite and nice. We did have to wait a bit for our waiter to come back. Overall I come back again.

Having been asked, “if we had eaten here before?” Twice. And answer in reply , no we have not.. And still not have their shared table policy or other ordering differences (from other korean bbq style restaurants) explained to us, was strange. The servicer became impatient with us quickly. The food was good but they could have been nicer and more explanatory for a better experience. Since their policies are so strict and different.

E
Eggie42

Cuts of meat too thick around 1/4th inch and there's only 1 grill on our table for 6 so cooking will take a long time. There's only 1 large table that is next to us that has 2 grill. Not all large tables have 2 grills. You have 2 hours to eat.

R

Our waitress charged my sister twice for alcohol, but she only received one. The food says all you can eat with the prices and she only gave us one round and she kept ignoring us every time we would call her to our table and then once it was all done, she charged she charged us extra. She charged everybody for alcohol drinks when only one person was drinking. Alcohol her service was really, really poor and the whole thing is when we went in there, we went in there for a for the experience because we’ve never done a Korean barbecue and to have poor service like that definitely made us not want to come back thank you and have a great day bye

I used to come all the time and just eat by myself. It was part of my self care whenever I had a long week or was overwhelmed because of everything going on in life. Unfortunately, their new policy now states that no parties of 1 are permitted on weekends. This honestly sucks because it’s the only time I’d be able to go, so now I won’t be able to go to my favorite restaurant, or now to be known as my former favorite restaurant. No hate to anyone that works there for any reason, everyone is really nice and the policy was brought to my attention very politely. Just really disappointed with this new policy.

my boyfriend and i came here for dinner one night and decided to do supreme ayce. we usually do premium but we saw that sushi is included, so why not splurge! upon being seated and throughout the entire meal, the wait times between each order was extremely slow. we understood that it was saturday night and the restaurant was busy, but the treatment we received from some of the staff was passive aggressive and below par. the drink i ordered was wrong, and we asked for some other utensils that were never delivered. we also found plastic in our meats...thankfully, our server Ron was super kind and understanding. we wont be back but shoutout to Ron V for handling the situation with care and empathy.

I usually never write reviews, but with my utmost and sheer frustration I felt the need to voice my honesty. First thing I want to state is how much of how disrespected and discouraged I felt putting in a reservation down. I tried making a reservation with one of the staff I asked her name for, Sofia, and had a terrible experience doing so. When a customer is being polite and asking questions or a favor, please try your best to at least act like you care. She did not acknowledge me in a humanizing way and it felt hurtful how she moved so slow as if she didn't want to simply put down a reservation for my group and I, but we moved on and my companions and I shrugged it off. However, the day of my reservation, I had a waiter serve my group and not only did it take thirty minutes, but the waiter tried to rush us out of the restaurant to "make room for other guests." What? You can do that? My group was doing no wrong, we patiently waited for our server, and he even forgot our eating utensils once the first round of food came. Probably never coming back here until staff learns about respect and honoring customer service. Never have I EVER had such a horrible KBBQ experience.

Was there for Dinner on 12/15/25 At 7PM. I've never seen a hostess that seemed the least excited to seat and entertain waiting customers. We would ask politely for follow ups and all we get is a seemingly annoyed expression. Dinner was already starting off with a frustrated atmosphere.. Asked for Kimchi like 5 times before receiving one, brought the water carafe to the bar to get water refills, servers were busy but definitely more personable. Food was great however.

I’ve been to this restaurant many times and have always been very happy with both the food and the service. Unfortunately, today was a very different experience. From the moment we started ordering, the waiter was rude. He refused to take our order unless we followed a specific order sequence, which felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. After our food arrived, we were already halfway through our meal and still had no drinks, no utensils, and no hot sauce—even after requesting them once. We only received these items after asking a second time. Later, my friend went to the restroom while I stayed at the table waiting for them to return. During that time, the waiter approached me and told me we needed to close our tab. He said that because we were not ordering anything at that moment, his boss had instructed him to ask us to close out. We had not gone a long time without ordering, and we still had food on the table that we hadn’t finished. Apparently, because it was a busy night, they ask customers to close their tab if they aren’t ordering frequently, which felt like a not-so-subtle way of telling us to leave. Once my friend came back, we decided to leave because the situation made us feel rushed and unwelcome. Being asked to close our tab while we still had food on the table was rude and disappointing. It’s a shame, because this used to be a place we loved and visited often. Now I’m not sure I want to return if customers are treated this way and are pushed out just to free up tables, even before they’ve finished their meal.

I took my best friend out for his birthday and when I walked in I asked the people up front if they could sing my friend happy birthday. They said yes they would be happy to he will get ice cream or a wheel spin. I went out to my car to get my phone and came back they had seated him and I asked again please make sure to sing him happy birthday. I sat down we started eating. Halfway through the meal they sing happy birthday to the people next to us with sparklers and bumping knock2 on a JBL speaker like someone got bottle service at the club. I asked them hey can we sing Happy birthday to my friend again "oh yeah whatever". So I asked the server in front of him hey can we sing him happy birthday she goes well I'll need to check his ID to make sure it's his birthday. He pulls it out and shows her she asked him if he wanted and small ice cream then shows up later like heres the bill whenever you guys are ready. Are you kidding me I've gone out of my way over and over again to make sure my friend celebrates his birthday properly. Not only did they basically call us out saying your lieing but they didn't even bring him his ice cream. I ended up taking him to cream and they sung him happy birthday and gave him an extra scoop of ice cream. This absolutely killed the mood of his birthday celebration and ruined the night. I wouldn't take anyone you care about to celebrate here the rude disrespect was real.

Absolutely awful food and service. Appetizers arrived after mains and only after repeatedly asking for them; shouldn’t have bothered - the fried dumplings were cold, hard and looked like they’d been sitting on a counter for days. Salt and pepper wings were cold and flavorless. The meats for BBQ were fatty, tough and flavorless - cheapest cuts of beef and pork possible. All the marinades tasted the same - like very salty teriyaki. Sides were laughable - for four people we were served a slice of red pepper, two slices of zucchini, and a sprinkle of diced onion. The small relish dishes were pitiful - a couple pickled carrots, a dab of flavorless kimchi, a couple of tiny broccoli florets, and macaroni salad that looked as if it had sat for days. Bar service was atrocious; waited forever for beers. Wait staff was completely inattentive, didn’t clear used dishes. When one of our party asked for a fork and knife he was given a plastic fork and spoon. Please do not judge real Korean BBQ by this place!!!

I have been coming here for a while and i drove pretty far today just for them to tell me they dont take parties of 1 on the weekends. They have lost a customer today. As a person who works in the service industry this is extremely disappointing and i will never ever step foot in this establishment again. The manager’s excuse for this new rule is that they are starting to pick up but when i came into this place, it was not packed or super busy at all. That is not right, as a longtime customer who drove an hour to come to this place and enjoy my sunday, i am upset!

Met with family today for lunch at Daikon in Vallejo. We like this place and have enjoyed several lunch meals. Today when we arrived, we were asked to wait in the lobby until our table was ready. It was a cold and rainy day. The lobby was cold. We waited with no updates. I saw only one other table occupied. We waited some more. Finally decided to go to another place close by and enjoyed a warm and friendly atmosphere there. If Daikon wants to make it, it needs to work on customer service and atmosphere.

Came to the restaurant at opening. No other customers there. Was not allowed to eat because they don’t allow parties of 1 during the weekends because they said it gets busy, (it was a Friday during lunch on a school day) they didn’t even make an exception even though there was nobody there. Like literally nobody…

I’ve been here multiple times and this time was the last. We arrived at 2 and didn’t get seated until 2:40pm. There wasnt a big line at all. Even after being seated we were ignored for 15 minutes. Not once did the waitress stop by. We ended up leaving. Horrible way to run a business it seems like nobody knows what they’re doing.

The waiter not even 5 minutes into dinner tried to take the grill pan right after we put our first set of meat on it with a meat still on it then proceeded argue with me about not leaving the grill pan, I really wanted to walk out right then and thereand go get my own drink from the geart wonderful bar staff. I was trying to have a nice dinner out with my kid, but I feel that the waiter was giving a bad atmosphere. This was my 3rd time to daikon, first 2 visits were good 3rd bad.

Extremely rude. Open until 11, seated 940, at 1005 we're told there's no side dishes because they're closing soon. 1015 were told last order needs to be placed because the kitchen is closing. At 1030 they start bussing our table while we're still eating. Server Cherice was rude and slow. Totally not worth the money, just say you close at 1030 if you're going to close everything so early.

I have visited this place a handful of times since they opened. The food is good quality. The menu is not yet updated. The service is pretty bad. They give you an average of two hours. The server will stop showing up to your table after the one hour mark. If you have a large party this will be a horrible experience since you can only order three meats at a time and two appetizers. We are a party of five and left unsatisfied. I recommend going to Gen Korean BBQ House in concord. They have no time limit and the server will keep coming back until you refuse any more service. Great for large parties. You can order four meats at a time and even more if your party is large.

Terrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs! I wish I could give this place zero stars. Not only was the food mediocre at best, but while I was dining, my car was broken into right in their parking lot! When I informed the staff, they were completely indifferent—no concern, no assistance, not even a simple apology. To make matters worse, there were no security cameras outside, and apparently, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened here. If you care about your safety and belongings, do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. Absolutely unacceptable experience!

The posted closing time is 11:00 PM. We walked in at 9:50 PM but were told the last call was 10:15 and that we would not be served. If the last call is set so much earlier than closing, it would be helpful to clearly state that policy online or at the entrance. Otherwise, it is quite confusing for customers. The interaction also felt rather unfriendly. Overall, a disappointing experience.

I won’t be coming back here. They take an unnecessarily long time to bring out each order—sometimes 20 to 30 minutes. If you want better value and faster service, go to Hot Stone or Oghane.

We got seated and let the waitress know and she was very rude immediately mugged us and just said I’m getting my manager, after that the manger let us know he couldn’t void that for her the manger guy was very sweet and resolved the issue for us very sweet. The rest of the night the server lagged to attend us and every time we asked for something else she proceeded to slam things and even dropped some of my drink into my sauce. Sad to say that I like this place a lot but next time will definitely ask to not be seated with SHARMAINE. The name might be a lie cause the host was covering for the server because when my friend proceed to pay the host had such a bad attitude with us paying like snatching our money and trying to argue saying it was 8 of us when 3 people had left due to the issue. Great manger but get BETTER STAFF

Had great experiences before, don’t know why the time I get Nate as a waiter, I get met with hostility, attitude, and annoyance on first greeting. Maybe we shouldn’t come in when we’re not feeling our best huh? Or maybe we shouldn’t just hire anybody. We feel our best when we look our; best pro tip.

I couldn’t even get to the meal because we happened to get the most patronizing, obviously customer service untrained waiter in the restaurant! Love that for us! Nate was his name so beware when you get the ashiest lipped most needing of a haircut waiter in the restaurant! It would be different if I was rude from the jump, but when you’re just having a day, call off.
