Tommy's is always great food. This location did not disappoint on food. Service was great, although a bit slower than most locations. But overall exactly what I went for, a good burger!
Tommy has always been a great place to have a chili cheese burger that will make your taste buds go wild. Don't forget to dip into your chilli sauce with your French fries. Always good! #iluvtommys
Of course I remember the real original Tommy's which was on what we will call the other side of the Hill probably right in the middle of the street on La Cienega. That place made a million bucks its 1st year and years later that was gone because of the large shopping mall that was put in and they move the tail of the pup and all that used to be around there. Out in The Valley the burgers with Tommy's are absolutely delicious and you can order them well medium anyway you want with what you want on them it's a good place to check out I just wanted to mention that history
Always clean and well managed. I believe a lady manager cares about doing a good job and it shows in the business. The food always tastes great. You should go!
Great local hamburger stand. Been in business since the late '40s iconic LA landmark. Also they have locations in other parts of Southern California and Las Vegas. Also open late night. Some locations 24 hours
Best Tommy’s in the world. This is my favorite one always and forever ❤️❤️❤️ This place has the loveliest manager and employees as well. 100/10 recommend this location
I'll let you know a secret for those of you that don't know, they have specials posted on their Instagram but you have to say you want the special. As a local I didn't always know this so I'll share this little fact here enjoy!
Good location, nice simple dining room with lots of space. But the staff here tonight was excellent. Friendly and going beyond expectations. Give them a raise.
Went in for breakfast. It tasted great. Tommy's chili is superb.
It's all about Tommy's 🍔! All menu is 👍 great. If you hungry get the number 1. Chili cheese double burger with yellow peppers!! Okay
Cant go wrong with Tommy's, I waited 1 hour for drive thur during 73 cent anniversary sale, but I got to order at 10:01 PM when it ended at 10pm. I still order 2 hamburgers for $6.90 not 73 cent each. I'm still a loyal customer unlike those other customers yelling demanding a discount. I felt bad for the workers there bc they took alot of verbal abuse from ghetto customers during the anniversary. I've been eating Tommy's since 1984 at rampark.
Breakfast burrito and chili cheese fries are excellent. Pro tip: I always get my fries well done since the chili makes them soggy so quickly.
Love Tommy’s! I have been going to Tommy’s for years since I was a kid. It was a place I enjoyed with my family and all these years I still love going. The food is as great as ever, not diet friendly but great.
I'm like Homer Simpson when it comes to Tommy's chili cheeseburgers and chili cheese fries. I actually dream of it....
My go to is the LBC location, no inside seating but benches outside, 80s vibe. $2.49 special domination here but my standard order is a chili dog combo no tomato 🍅 w/ extra pickles, onions and mustard w/ a side double chili burger. 😋
The drive thru crew is awesome.. we were driving out to AZ so they packed the burgers for travel.. great leadership by the girl at the drive thru.
Well I like their chili. Both the burger and the breakfast burrito is my go to They always have good deals on social media. I don't eat it often but I enjoy treating myself every now and then
Tommy's chili is definitely a love it or hate it type thing because unlike many other chili's it's devoid of meat and more of a bean paste chili which they generously smother on their burgers and fries. Personally, I love it and enjoy getting a double chili cheeseburger with a side of chili cheese fries. If you haven't tried Tommy's, give it a try a find out if it's your cup of tea because it really is a Los Angeles staple like In-n-Out but less talked about.
Tommy's is still (and has been for 45 years) by far my favorite burger! Their fries and chocolate shakes are fantastic too. Go for the double or triple cheese with everything dripping with delicious chili!!
Been going to Tommy's for over 35 years.. had the chili dog for the 1st time.. OMG! SOOOO GOOD! That's what I posted last year.. I went to get another one but went through the drive thru. Caution, be sure to check your bag before you drive away. I was given a single chili cheese burger this time after waiting in the line for almost 20 minutes. so disappointed.
I have lived in Los Angeles all my life. I'm 62 yrs old, and my first trip to Tommy's. Boy I been missing out. Ordered #2, best burger I ever had. Word Up!
You cannot beat the chilly in these burgers. Try them and you will go back. The combination of the chilly, onion, pickles, and tomatoes, along with the patty and cheese is flabbergasted.
Have not been here in years. Definitely a new fav again. Burgers are great loaded with chilli cheese onions and tomatoes. Plus some mustard. Was in a nice box that did not crush or become soggy. The chili cheese fries had so much chili. Definitely visiting again sooner than later. Definitely recommend!
Standard chiliburger joint. The building is clean inside and out. If I have one complaint, it's the treacherous entrance to the drive thru. I don't typically eat chili burgers or chili sauce, but when I do, this place does the job.
Not a 24 hours Tommy's but I still love this location. I come at least once or twice a week. The staff are great and they always get my order right and within a reasonable time.
Love there Chili Cheese Tamales. They have the perfect amount of Chili Cheese to go with it along with the tomato on top. And yes of course, you can't forget about their famous Chili Cheese Burgers and Fries. They are just amazing and filled with a lot of flavor.. Love this place....
Was just here for a quick snack. Chile tamale packed with everything. I really appreciated the effort to make it nice and presentable. Appreciate you guys 💚✌️
There are many imitators but only one original Tommy's! The first bite into anything with chili in it will again sorely remind you why you started the diet today. The menu is simple as it has been since its inception. The restaurant is very clean and the food is worth the drive. Have a Blessed One. Cheers!!
My 1st experience at this location found the staff very patient as any confusion stemmed primarily from two overly hungry friends who hoped to enjoy Tommy's uniquely delicious fare at the late hour of 10 PM. Their dining area was closed. Thank You God for their well lighted parking area. Exiting the drive through, be extra careful of cars making swift right turns from the corner. It will be worth the extra caution, & you'll be rewarded for it once you can safely park. It is well worth trying a less crowded alternative to I ton-N-Out Burgers when one cannot wait as long. Extra Tomatoes, onions, and pickles, are never an extra charge! I look forward to experiencing dining in sometime soon! Here's a tip: All Tommy's locations offer daily SPECIALS (except on Mondays) so simply ask : "Is there a Special today? ” & you might be paying just $2.69 for a Double Chili Cheeseburger, Fries, or Hot Dog!
The window teller/cashier is always friendly, he always asks if I need ketchup, chilies, and always verifies that I have my order right. I remember him from this one time during a heat stroke that he offered me a cup of water because I was dehydrated. Nobody ever did that before and I come to this Tommy’s because of the service. Transaction No. 006079 at 10:53 a.m.
At least twice a week!!! Will they ever open again. Most important will the staff be the same. They were definitely doing business like the original one. Happy to serve the customers!!!
Driven thru only. Unfortunately they are never in the best parts of town. But then chili cheese fries are the best. Their Breakfast burrito I tried for the 1st time. Let me tell you this, it is delicious. It was just perfect and they serve it all day.
I have been trying to tell my parents to take me here to eat instead I went the next day on bike and ordered quarter pounder chili burger, IT WAS AMAZING best place to Eat In 2025 Not Expensive
Clean Indoor sit down place, unlike its parent. Nice parking situation, corner lot. Essentially the same fare as the Rampart/Beverly location without the hassle and possible frustration of the latter. Would go again.
Best Chilli Burger. In So Cal, is a must atleast once in your lifetime, I don't know anybody that doesn't have it atleast once a month. Great food, great environment, always chill, service and staff, always outstanding
Food os always good. Tommy's chili cheese burger is one of my favorites. There is also a great employee working the cash register when I went. Didn't get his name but man was he friendly and a real character. Nice clean place to eat inside as well. Never really a line when I go.
It's a simple little fast food spot, but they always take your order with a smile and get your food out FAST. Like, really fast. Big fan of my local Tommy's. If you like chili (or even don't I'd still say try their chili) YOU HAVE TO GO! Plus the food is cheaper than holy hell, which is great for my wallet.
Tommy's is thee best ever and those chili fries mommy nice thick tomatoe with onions and pickle mmmmm the best burgers in town
Tommy's has always been a favorite after-hours , after-party , after crazing, after whatever. But whatever your whatever reason is. Tommy's is the place to be. Love the food. The service at this location may need a little guidance. However the food speaks for itself.
As I've come to share my love of Tommy's with others, I've come to understand it's a bit of an acquired taste. The chili is awesome! If you're in to chili on everything. If you're not (and several in my family are not) the California classic is the way to go for burgers. Its a grease bomb for your stomach but man alive it's delicious! Breakfast if good as well (who knew a breakfast burrito with chili could be so good)
Ordered a cali classic burger and fries. Delicious. It was about 8p. I was the only one there. It was chill and mellow. Very enjoyable. All the employees were nice too. Great experience
I love Tommy’s,they never get an order wrong, service was perfectly spot on, amazing food especially with their unique chili topping, and just an overall amazing experience
I have had Tommy's for as long as I know. Its always an experience for me. Thank you Tommy's. New Generation come and try Tommy's Hamburger you will like it and never stop eating them there so delicious Your crazy not to come to Tommy's. Come And enjoy you will have an experience like Me yum yum yum 😋.
I grew up on Tommy's and after 40 years they still make the best Chili I have ever had. What's funny about Tommy's is that so many little restaurant's all over Los Angeles actually be their restaurant something similar, such as Tom's Chili Burgers and another bunch of name combinations. Regardless, it going to show how great and popular their Chili Burgers and Fry's are. If you haven't had a Tommy Burger yet, then you never officially had a real chili burger.
Alvina, Christian, Michael are AMAZING! I was the blonde guy who walked in to eat Papa John’s because I needed a table, and the staff was so kind. The food here is also amazing as well! But the workers mentioned are what makes this location key!
I absolutely love Tommy’s. I was going to use profanity, but stop myself this particular location though I’ve been going to ever since I was a kid I have family in Texas and anytime they come down in town. We stop by at this time to make sure we get some chili cheese fries chili cheeseburgers from the wonderful People working here. Thank you, Tommy’s North Hollywood!
By far one of the best Burger with or without chili I have ever tasted. All of the different locations I have been to, about 4x of them have been spectacularly delicious! They have fast service, even on a busy day, really good tasting food & a totally awesome staff members!
Tommy's Original Chili Burger Spot in Burbank is an absolute gem! If you're looking for a classic, no-frills burger experience with a hearty helping of their famous chili, this is the place to go. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and the chili adds that perfect kick of spice and richness. The portions are generous, and the food is always fresh. The staff is friendly and efficient, making every visit a pleasant experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Tommy's is a must-visit for burger lovers. Five stars all the way!
Since before I was born we've been going to the Original Tommy's Burger. Funnily enough I never order a burger at this place. I always and I mean 42 years now always always always order the chili tamale with everything on it and extra pickles please. Since I was a kid this is been my favorite thing to order and still is. My son loves a plain hot dog a giant french fries and strawberry shake on the side. Then of course for the man of the house I got the giant triple Burger chili with everything I love Pino's and peppers and chili fries on the side giant Coke thank you guys for your after you're giving us just the right Chile fix we need see you next week Get the chili Tamale #tommys #chilitamale
Tommy's has the best chili burgers. If you want a large burger with chili, this is not the place for you. If you are vegan, run. They simply make the best greasy, chili burgers and chili fries around. They also have great hot dogs--add chili. Just add chili to everything. Their burgers are thin and in a fresh bun. You then tell them what you want on them. They have everything that goes with a burger. Also get fries. They are great. With or without chili and cheese, they are just magical. They also have great shakes and drinks. The service is super nice and everything is cooked to order. You can eat there, use the drive thru, or pick up. You will love it and it is a must for tourists. Have fun.
Good food as always. I enjoyed my double chili cheese burger and chili cheese fries. I'm sad to learn that they no longer make milk shakes though. I'll still be back when I'm in the mood for their food.
I love Tommy's food. I ordered #1) double hamburger #2) chile hog dog #3) tamale #4) French fry. The one on burbank and Laurel cyn is lot less line than one in Van Nuys. My only complain is going through drive way. When you enter and make the turn at the corner is very sharp You really need to slow down and make wider turn. Otherwise you ended up jumping a concrete block separating the parking lot. Yesterday was my first time at this location. As i waited my turn to order,I saw anther car behind me getting up on the curve as well. They needed to either get rid off the curve or a huge sign at the turn to drive slowly.i hate damage on my car wheel.
Customer service was excellent! The ladies behind the counter were so friendly and helpful. Chili cheese dog not that good though. Should have stuck with the cheeseburger.
Tommy's is great to hit when they aren't busy, and can actually spend a minute making the food taste the way it should. Come on the off-hours and enjoy. They do pretty good work here. Hot and fresh, smelling good from the hand-off.
Good customer service! Great food with lots of flavor & doesn't cost a lot either! But with one order upon returning home, I discovered one of the items was missing! Called & talked to the general manager who graciously apologized & gave me credit for my order. Really appreciated her response!
Kinda pricey. Cost over 65; bucks for a burger meal, hot dog meal and 2 breakfast burritos with 4 med drinks. It was nice for a change of pace, but won't be going back anytime soon.
Tommy's is a long time favorite. Everything was fresh and hot. The container of fries is noticeably smaller and combo #1 is now $14, so I can't afford to go very often like I used to. Also, it was better when they had Coke products.
I really enjoy their chili, on fries is best imo. It has a bit of a tinge aftertaste, potentially from being frozen , not sure. Still worth eating for sure, and the drive thrus / outside windows are nice and convenient
Loved the burgers and stop there everytime I visit California. Grew up eating this throughout my high school years and delicious until this last visit. Kids loved the burgers and recommended you try it out when in the area. Triple cheeseburger with chili cheese fries is the way to go but several options if your not that hungry.
I used to come here once or twice a year. Everything is smothered in chili. I think the burgers and hotdogs are average and the fries are the thicker then the normal fries you'd get at other places. Nice staff and quick service.
The burger’s were really messy but decent and they have really small napkins that suck. They where a decent burger but I won’t be back because of the low quality napkins for such a messy burger.
Walking in, I remarked that It was colder inside, than it was outside, at 10pm in North Hollywood; the air conditioning on full blast, I jokingly asked if that was a deterent for the homeless. I got a smile with a nod for maybe a yes. It was certainly a deterent for me to dine in. So cold, we dined in our vehicle. Food was good but expensive. One Double cheese burger meal with an extra burger was over $19.00. With No drink for me, my hubby shared his chili cheese fries with me. It was way enough food for two. Won't be making that a habit anytime soon, and the Staff could use a dose of personality. Geesh!
Cheap, thin burgers with plenty of chilli. Not my thing, but the California classic is decent. When you have so many other options in the area for better burgers at slightly higher prices, it's hard to justify Tommy's.
I love Tommy's, but I just spent $19.55 for the Mega Combo with a substituted 16 oz strawberry shake and replaced the American cheese with Pepper Jack and used the 1/4 pound patties. It was $8.19 for the triple patties and 60 cents for each of three slices, for an extra $1.80, so $9.99 for just the burger. Large chili cheese fries for $4.95 and $2.95 for a 16 oz shake. $17.89 + tax = $19.55. That is waaaaayyyyy too much for a meal.
One of the maintenance employees treated me like I was a homeless person. I asked if I can use the restroom and she said “we don’t have the keys”. I came to sit down and grab a lunch, horrible cleaning employee.
Service where decent but cashier didn't take the order correctly also gave us our drink with a hole on the cup
I asked for a #2 combo with a chilli cheeseburger & chilli cheese frys. The guy asked if I wanted everything on the burger & I said no onions. I get home & not only was there no onions on my burger, but there was no chilli either!! Who would ever go to Tommy's and ask them to hold the chilli on a chilli cheeseburger?!? So dissapointed~
Before I ordered I asked them if they had barbecue sauce they told me no so that's a red flag right there because I always use barbecue sauce for my burgers and fries instead of ketchup. as I was looking at the menu I noticed that the photo for the burger did not look good so I figured if You can't even produce a good looking photo of a burger that I have no Faith You can produce a good tasting actual burger so I left the restaurant and ate elsewhere.
Stopped for some good burgers on the way home and when ordering my food the speaker was so out of date the guy taking the order couldn't hear me. Once I pulled up to the window to pay he didn't reapet my order so I paid and when getting my food I was missing one order of fries. When I explained to him that I needed another order of fries he said ok let me charge you. When he charged me I noticed he charged me twice.
Definitely not what it used to be. Of course, the original site is best, but for two cheese burgers and one fry, it cost over $18. Also, for an extra .50cents, you get an additional burger patty One can only imagine what that patty is made of for .5.0cents
I go here because it's usually empty and food is hot and tastes good. This time however "line"was between 5-10 min(was only customer in the line) no"will be rite with you" no acknowledgment from the 2 employees. Poor customer service. Food was disappointing chili tasted burned, bland and dry. Food was cold. Drink was almost room temperature and flat. I thought it was my taste buds but my cousin had same opinion. Maybe it was the full moon.
My 2ND time coming in and both times I received my order wrong and got attitude from Cashier. There was barely any chili on my burger and fries. I ordered through Uber Eats and got my order wrong again my order is no pickles and extra chili I don't see what so hard about that. Will be calling corporate about this Tommy's cuz it's gotta go. An In-n-out wouldn't be a bad idea.
The chilli is gross! I can believe anybody likes this food. Its flavorless brown paste. Horrible. Waste of 13 bucks for this chilli dog and chilli cheese fries. I am actually disgusted.
Maria I believe she is the manager is the most nasty races should be fired I order breakfast sandwich and it should come with free coffee when she charged me for the coffee I informed her she got so mad rude treat me very nasty and I being going back every morning to get the free coffee special she makes my sandwich taste bad I don’t know what wrong she is doing and my coffee it taste like plastic very bad, today at 10 Am I ordered the same thing and I saw her pour my hot coffee from the coffee pot to a plastic water cup then transfer to the coffee cup it melt the plastic makes my coffee taste like plastic she tampered in my food and drink for over a week now because I told her you made a mistake and charge me for coffee when it supposed to be free. Health hazard and against health code also not nice not kind , Please be careful with Maria very moody unkind horrible person doesn’t belong in the food industry but behind bars, thanks
One star because it was very clean and vegetables were fresh. Losses 4 stras for quality of meat and chili. Very cheap, looks like jail slop and tastes like what I would imagine dog food. No offense to anyone. Just real review
TLDR: Horrible customer service. Me a friend come in with a bunch of orders (from a group of friends), and they tell her they can only take 3 orders max and don't want to take the rest. Full Story: We come in with many orders. My friend starts ordering with a tall guy, I didn't get his name, while I'm taking care of the kids. He stops her and tells her that they can only take 3 orders max. I pull up to the counter and they tell me the same thing. We argue a bit and I tell them that I am a different customer and I should be allowed 3 orders as well. The tall guy takes 1 order and leaves, and Karla come and takes another order. It's the last order because by this point I consolidated the rest. I did try to be extra nice, and I even asked if they had a tip jar, because I knew I was giving them a bit of extra work and would definitely make it up to them. They said they do not accept tips. The food starts coming out, and the tall guy is pretty much just tossing it at my friend. I go and asked if they have a supervisor, and he points to Karla. I wanted to record this but apparently I never started the video. I asked "Where does the 3 order policy come from" Karla replies "It's just that there might be customer behind you, and we have too many cars outside. Oh I see you are recording" I said "Yes because if this is really a company policy I will understand and I wont write a negative review since you are doing your job" Then we got into an argument of whether or not it was legal for me to record her and Karla telling me that she is going to sue me. I said "Hey you are recording me." She says "Well my contract says you are not allowed and I'm going to sue you." I replied with the obvious "Go head, do it!" and "But let me see any of these written policies" at this point my friend told me to calm down since she doesn't care for any type of confrontations so we pulled away. This was on Aug 25 at 7:15pm.
Recently visited this place on Tuesday 7/10. Pulled up to order and the person on the intercom told me that the credit card machine was broke and only cash was being accepted which I was completely ok with. Pulled up to the window and paid for my meal. Gave the person at the window $ 20.32 got $4 in change and he walked away from the window. He Pulled the trash can from under the counter to throw someone's order away I'm assuming the car that was in front of me probably didn't have cash to pay for it. Then walked away for a second came back to make the last burger to complete my order without changing gloves. Touched every single ingredient of my burger wrapped it up and went to put it in the box. Walked the order to the window were I was asked if I wanted ketchup I answered "no thank you" and said let me ask you a question "did you change your gloves after handling the money before making my burger" the look of uncertainty came about along with a stuttered "yes" I quickly said well I didnt see you change them. He said "I'm sorry It didnt appear that way". At least offer to make my burger with new gloves specially if you threw an entire order away and if I'm doubting the fact that you didnt change gloves but no got my burgers and left. Called corporate office and have yet to recieved a phone call.
Worst experience I ever had at Tommy’s. I was in line for the drive through at 9:35, 25 minutes before they close. I proceeded to drive to the menu and no one answered when I said hello for almost 10 minutes and there was people still in front at the drive through. I proceeded to drive up to the window to which it was 10:00. As I pull up I waited for someone to take my order and A lady just walked up after 5 minutes and nodded her head and proceeded to lock the window as they were closed. There were no words involved just a jester. What a joke. I would not recommend to come here.
The guys at the drive thru ruined my experience. My order seemed very high in comparison to their drive thru menu prices and when I questioned the price he begrudgingly answered. I didn't yell or anything. I did state the prices were not right on the sign. He seemed very annoyed and said "I don't make the prices". I never blamed him. I said bye and drove away. I will not go back.
I love Tommy's, and usually go to the one in Burbank, but today I was SO disappointed. I ordered a number 2 with chili cheese fries (chili on the side) and the fries well done which I repeated 3times to make sure they heard me... The chili was literally 75% grease... There was like no actual chili at all. And the fries are the soggiest fries I've ever had in my entire life from anywhere!!! I'm afraid to even check the burger. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. What a waste of money. I will not be returning to this location EVER😡
The only thing good about this place was the service was wonderful… The burger patty had zero flavor… I got the California cheeseburger with no onion… It’s like the thinnest piece of meat served with a bunch of Veggies… Which I like veggies and that they serve a lot… But it does cover up the tasteless hamburger… Zero flavor with the meat… Super disappointed… Don’t have any clue what the hype is about this place.
I received a veteran discount 4x in a row, but was denied that today? Why? Please Tommy's be consistent with your service. Let me give you a small token on vetetans. Most of us depart the military, and with disabilities. I, myself, is 80% disabled, which is equivalent to the diseases that 65+ seniors have such as arthritis. Among other issues needless to discuss. I will not come back spending 20$+, unless the next meal is an apology meal thanks.
The employees at the Tommy's on Burbank Blvd and Laurel Cyn in North Hollywood are the rudest jerks that I have ever dealt with. I've been a loyal customer and friend to the Tommy's Burgers company. For 50 years.
The manager and evening shift leader are very very mean. They have that look like don't come in here, don't approach me. I work nearby and I come in regularly practically everyday. It's hot outside too hot and I go in to get ice for my cup. I never had a problem about the ice until today. They always filled it up with their mean stares. Until today they were so happy to tell me no. That I must buy something in order to get ice so i can drink water. So i won't dehydrate or pass out in this xtreme hot weather. They have the drink dispenser behind the counter. If it was a different restaurant like Jack in the box I can fill up my ice no problem. Even if I go to Starbucks it's behind the counter They still give me a cup of ice water with no problem. Even at Tommy's if I were to ask for a cup of ice water They probably would give me that. But for some reason the mean shift leader told me no. I asked if if that's what the manager told her to tell me and she said yes. Why do the workers want people to die of a heatstroke? Why would Tommy's ask for us to buy something to fill my cup with ice and water?? I normally buy food all the time for lunch. Sometimes they give me cold mushy fries and cold chili on top of my chilifries but I don't go back and complain. I can't stand going in their and feel like they don't want our service. Why would the manager and shift leader do that to the customers?
Ordered in the drive thru a chili cheeseburger combo with a double Cali cheeseburger. They charged me and gave me the wrong food. Not even close to what I ordered...they gave me a double chili cheese burger and a 1000 cheeseburger. We were just going to eat it and not complain, but I couldn't even eat that trash. The meat wasn't cooked, the burgers were completely smashed, and the fries were hard.
