I stopped by for a latte after camping and the barista was really sweet about my requests! Coffee is great, really rich even when iced
Best damn coffee!!! The most friendliest and welcoming environment coffee shop for miles! Faces from all over the World have come in and left with a smile and the coffee boost they needed. As a local here in skykomish ( the great town of diversity and acceptance) I get to meet new and interesting people everyday!!! While enjoying a cup of euphoric coffee!!! Thanks Monica ❤️❤️❤️
Come for the coffee and convenience as you're traveling scenic highway 2. Stay and enjoy because Moe will make you feel like you are part of the family of Skykomish. She hustles and works hard, but makes pleasing you her number one priority! Such a warm and inviting restaurant in the middle of an adorable and friendly town. We were staying local for 3 weeks and went out of our way to stop and see her everyday for the atmosphere as much as the coffee. Can't say enough about how much we admire Moe and what she has done with this shop. Go girl 💪❤️!
As a local, I can't tell you how happy we are to have this coffee shop! One more reason to love living here. I've enjoyed trying different drinks (coffee and Italian sodas) even the bagel with avocado was so good! A great place to go, alone or with friends.
Decided to drive up into the mountains to see the fall colors. Not many leaves turning but stopped in little town of Skykomish. This coffee shop is a true gem. Very unassuming from outside but a real surprise inside. Very friendly, very welcoming. Even a children's corner to occupy your littlest. I'd recommend the chai tea latte, they do it very well.
I recently had a delivery in this wonderful little town. I could see this little coffee shop across the railroad tracks from me. So I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I visited this shop. When I went in I was amazed at the beautiful interior and cleanliness of this shop. They young lady making the coffee was a absolutely wonderful person. Very friendly and helpful. I don't usually get fancy coffee but i figured I would give it a try. I asked for the drink the way I thought I remembered with extra shots of expresso. But she talked me out if that and made it her way for me. May drink was great and I enjoyed it very much. Thank you so much for your great service.
What a wonderful place. Delicious coffee. The owner is full of knowledge and the place full of warmth. Cozy and well stocked. A hidden gem and worth the stop for anyone passing through on their way to Steven’s pass or Leavenworth.
I ordered a hot chocolate and the rest of my family ordered lattes. We saw baked goods and added a pistachio muffin. My hot chocolate was excellent and so were the lattes. The muffin was the most delicious I have ever eaten and I could really taste the pistachio. There is a comfortable sitting/reading area that makes the shop very inviting. It's worth driving a couple blocks away from US 2 into the city of Skykomish for a wonderful refreshment.
This cafe is one of the places that make visiting Skykomish secial. For locals it's the place where everybody knows your name. We travel from the Eastcoast and never miss the chance to have our breakfast here.
Have come in here a couple times now but Used the shop as an office for a morning before the slopes. Managed to get a lot done while enjoying the energy of locals. The owner knows how to make a good London fog (a lot of baristas in the US don’t know how) and even put a Large group on the opposite end of where I was working, which is not expected but appreciated. She has the gift of gab and is hilarious. Good stop to stretch legs en route to stevens or Leavenworth. They don’t have any allergy free listed items, but they do have a variety of baked goods. Looking forward to next visit already, whether working remote or stopping by with friends.
Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had, and great recommendations if you can’t make up your mind. The staff is awesome, super friendly and knowledgeable, and the place is also spotless clean. You can’t get better coffee anywhere, this is always my first stop in Skykomish.
Y’all, this place is incredible!!! The coffee flavor options were awesome, the owner is so chill and the vibes are immaculate. It’s a MUST stop when you’re in town! Per the recommendation of the owner, I got a lavender dirty chai with oat milk and it was amazing. The lavender flavor was authentic, delicious and not overpowering. The cheese danish was so good that I finished it before I could even take a photo for this review!!
Warm and inviting and the best latte I've had in a while. Highly recommend!
Great pit stop on our way to the ocean. Food exceeded my expectations from a coffee shop, and the vibes checked out. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
Visited last year from Ohio. Stayed in a cabin near by w’ daughter. Met Mo the owner and her 2 regulars!! Jack has become a friend and we will be returning next week for another game and do more hiking!! Can’t wait to grab some JAVA at our favorite PNW cafe!! Bringing out my son w’ us this time. Bagels and Joe w’ Mo are the best!!
Great coffee, the owner is amazing, and there’s an awesome corner with toys and coloring things for the kids. We always love stopping by
Sky River Coffee is one the BEST Coffee establishments I have ever been to, the owner is the most Amazing person. She greets and treats everyone the same with the most respect! This small town Coffee shop is the Best around and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for some great Coffee/Tea's and snacks along with the great conversations that take place especially if your looking for a good laugh!
Cute coffee shop with ample seating. I had the hot chocolate and it was excellent. Was hoping for a fresh baked something, but all the food appears to be brought in and/or shelf stable. Wide selection of snacks and drinks of that nature though and I walked away happy with a chocolate muffin.
Very friendly, super clean and welcoming! The coffee is perfect with many choices also teas, Italian sodas, etc.. There are tasty pastrys if you need a snack. Beautiful local art on the walls and in the little shop area. Pretty earrings and beautiful hand made wooden boxes for keepsakes. There is an outdoor area with seats so v dog friendly. Our pups were spoiled with treats from the owner when we've visited. A wonderful spot to stop and enjoy this cute town and amazing mountain vistas. My love to go there for a treat!
Found this gem while driving toward Mount Baker and decided to stop in the small town of Skykomish. The town itself is charming with a railroad running right through the center, and Sky River Coffee fits perfectly into that vibe. I needed to attend a meeting and this spot was ideal. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with Wi-Fi, which worked great. I chose to sit outside since it was nice and chilly, sipping hot coffee while working, and it was perfect. The coffee was excellent and the desserts we tried were just as good. What stood out even more was the people working there. They were kind, helpful, and even suggested places to check out nearby. It felt like more than just a café — it gave off such a welcoming and happy atmosphere that you just want to sit and enjoy for a while. They also had some cucumbers for dogs outside 🥹 If you’re anywhere near this area, Sky River Coffee is a must-stop, not only for the drinks but also for the charm of the town and the warm hospitality. This is a pretty neat coffee shop right in the heart of the quaint little railroad town known as Skykomish. If you haven't stopped by you really should. Definitely take a weekend and check it out. There are amazing places to stay between Gold Bar, Index, Baring, and Skykomish. Take a slow lazy weekend and just chill. Check out the scenery, railroad museum, and a couple small shops. Get a beverage at Sky River Coffee. Check out the Cascadia or the Whistling Post for some good grub. Give these little towns up the mountain a chance to show y'all what else they have to offer.
Great stop-in place to just visit and warm up or pop in for a nice beverage on the way to Leavenworth on Hwy 2. Mo makes the difference for this gem of a place - coffee, tea or cold drink... it's a very well kept and cozy corner of Skykomish, Wa.
Found this gem of a coffee shop via traveling on US 2. Amazing coffee and bagel. Will visit again
This is the cutest and quaintest coffee shop in town! If you're passing through, you've got to stop at Sky River Coffee in Skykomish for a fine cup of coffee or a latte or whatever strikes your fancy! There's a cozy fireplace in there! And Mo, the owner, strives to make everyone feel welcome and warm. She is friendly and down to earth, and her regulars love her!
Sky River coffee is like Skykomish itself. Full of great vibes as epitomized by it's owner, lovely Mo. Great coffee, cappuccino, espresso and hot chai, yum! Actually, I'm sure all of those are good because during my three weeks stay there I went almost everyday. If you have kids there's a little corner just for them. Perhaps you could add to the art on the wall?Sit inside and chat or read or go out to their sunny porch and enjoy the amazing view of the mountains that surround this little piece of coffee heaven.
Discover an enchanting spot in the quaint town of Skykomish—a warm, inviting haven offering delightful coffee, bagels, and hot chocolate. With ample opportunities for children to unleash their creativity through coloring and painting, savor your coffee amidst breathtaking vistas of the valley and river.
Such an adorable coffee shop and the coffee was delicious! The staff was super friendly and helpful in making a selection. It is an older building, and it has tons of character. If you sit out front the views are amazing! Actually the views in the whole town are amazing! I included a picture of the bridge close to the coffee shop.
Superb pistachio mocha, tasty cheese danish and the bagels looked and smelled divine. The barista/owner is incredibly knowledgeable about local history and is more than willing to share. This would be an excellent stop before hitting the slopes at Stevens since they open so early at 6:30 am: bagels, oatmeal, muffins and yogurt. Come for the coffee and stay for the vibes.

Cozy cafe and exactly what I was looking for. It has great seating indoor and outdoors, games, kid/baby friendly area, and the food and drinks are DELICIOUS 😋

Stopped by on my drive to Seattle and tried the pistachio + white chocolate latte, which was really good. But the lemon + blueberry bread the was BEST I have ever tasted!! They warmed it up for me, and the bread was fluffy and moist and decadent …. And I wish I had bought several more! Please go try it, you will not be disappointed.
The Irish Cream Latte was wonderful, the muffin was moist and the fireplace was so inviting. Stop in, you won't regret it!
Maybe it was because I was super thirsty after hiking Beckler Peak and forgetting my water bottle (had to share with my son), but the cold brew was amazingly tasty and refreshing. Only very slight negative was the largest cup they had was 20oz, but in hindsight I should have just ordered two :) Great interior, friend barista, beautiful location, what's not to like?
We stopped by Sky to see some friends and were excited to check out the coffee shop. I used to live in Sky years ago and we only had coffee to go from the gas station... it was so cool to see a real coffee shop and we enjoyed sitting on their couch and seeing all the books they had. It seemed like such a great addition to town! We look forward to going back. Oh, and my iced oat milk latte was great too!
Not only does this spot make an excellent latte, I was greatly impressed with the speed at which they were turning out drinks on a busy Saturday! The pass was shut down temporarily due to overflow and I waited less than 5 min for my drink even though the cafe was packed! The latte was super good and I even saw the barista remake drinks for patrons that had asked. Good coffee, great service. Would recommend. Also it’s cute inside and they have free chess and other games. Looks like a good spot for summer too.
the coffee, the books, the art and the atmosphere , 5 star. You can play chess while your kids play in the kids corner that’s is so thoughtfully curated. They have water for your pups on the back patio which is spacious and lovely in the summer.
I make a point to stop at this place every time I'm in the area. The lady working there always strikes up a friendly conversation and my drink is always perfect. Place is clean, cozy, and welcoming. Will be returning soon.
Great little coffee shop! It was so cute and inviting. The drinks were delicious and so were the pastries. It's the perfect stop to fuel up before a big hike.
Sky River makes the best mocha on Highway 2, and with homemade whipped cream! I alway look forward to stopping here.

I think the main appeal here is that this is a real coffee shop, with a real espresso machine, in a tiny cute town. We have been here twice for our coffee fix while road tripping. It's a great place for a book, and there is a toy area if you have kids. The only reason I take away a star is because, in my opinion, the coffee is good not great. I've tried their drip as well as their lattes. Taste is subjective (I prefer very light roasts), and this is better than anything else nearby. Also, I suspect the pastries are from Costco. Regardless, Sky River Coffee Is great for a quaint town, but it's not like a hipster Seattle sort of coffee shop. That's part of its charm, I suppose. And we will definitely keep coming back.

I would give if there is 0 star for this cafe. Absolutely rude lady with large round stud earrings. She couldn’t differentiate between kids playing and yelling. And we asked for milk for the kid, she gave us cold milk and when asked her to warm it up she said you didn’t ask for steamed milk and will not heat up as she is busy with angry face. Never seen Such unfriendly cafe lady. Will never visit or recommend such cafe ever again 👎🏻
My experience today at Sky River Coffee was extremely disappointing. This was my first time visiting, and I walked in with a group of friends expecting a welcoming atmosphere. Instead, the barista not the one with dark hair, but the other was consistently rude and displayed a very negative attitude toward both my husband and me. Everything I said to her was met with a harsh tone, dismissive body language, or an unfriendly response. I kept questioning whether I had done something to cause this behavior, but it became clear that her attitude had nothing to do with us. She continued to be just as rude when speaking to my husband, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. My husband overheard the dark-haired barista ask her coworker if she was okay, and the girl said yes. Regardless, I don’t think we should have been treated like that, especially as new customers coming in hoping to enjoy some coffee. Overall, I was very disappointed that my husband, our friends, and I had such a negative experience during what should have been an enjoyable first visit.
