Hastaria Bacanera una MERAVIGLIA!! Posizionato in una zona molto tranquilla e fuori dal caos della città, ma ne varrà sicuramente la pena. Tutte le misure necessarie Covid-19 rispettate..cosa non da poco. All'entrata si viene coccolati dall'enorme gentilezza dei camerieri, che sapranno come rendere piacevole tutta la serata in questo locale ..posto piccolo ma molto curato nell'aspetto e nell'arredamento.. Parlando dei piatti be'...uno più invitante dell'altro, ottima la qualità dei materiali e ottima scelta dei vini. Lasciatevi consigliare dai camerieri sui piatti e le proposte del giorno ..non v'è ne pentirete... consiglio vivamente questo locale, prezzo nella media dei locali di Venezia...ma vale ogni singolo euro!! In conclusione...se cercate una serata tranquilla e nel contempo romantica con un ottima qualità dei piatti.....questo è il posto che stavate cercando.. Ps..consiglio di prenotare un pochino prima ..i coperti non sono tantissimi...

We really enjoyed our dinner at Bacanera. The service was lovely - friendly & helpful and not too much or too little. Our meals we delicious - particularly our mains course see pics) … cooked to perfection (the pork was melt in your mouth, the chick & rabbit ragu oozed flavour and the red turnip/orange was surprisingly delicate). We let the waiter select our wines to match our food and they were bang on. A lovely quiet part of Venice and reasonably priced.

Wonderful meal and very reasonably priced. Waiting staff very helpful. We came for lovely Italian pasta and weren’t disappointed. Had the sardines to start which were v tasty. For mains, I had the Bigoli in Soar which was lovely but didn’t taste as much of anchovies I might have hoped! My husband had a lasagne and it was delicious. Waiting staff were superb and more than happy to let me sample a couple of wines before I chose my glass offering helpful advice. We treated ourselves to puddings of creme caramel and tarte tatin which were also delicious. You are also served a lovely little amuse-bouche mini bruschetta which were delicious.

This dinner was the highlight of Venice dining for my wife and I. We saw several reviews raving about it so we opted to walk over from the San Marco neighborhood where we were staying. We chose the tasting menu to get a sampling of various dishes and it was a great value. The dishes were all centered around seafood as is typical with Venice. The salmon and prawns were amazing but my favorite dish was the sea bass that came last. It was perfectly cooked and the combination of flavors was fantastic. The dessert was absolutely stunning. It was their take on panna cotta and I had never had one better (and couldn’t find one that surpassed it the remainder of our trip). I still think about that first bite. If you’re in Venice and have a short list of restaurants to try, Hostaria Bacanera is a must add.

We had a lovely meal here. The secluded piazza is nice as it is far from the main pathways of tourists. The menu is well curated with fresh ingredients. We really enjoyed the venetian tradition starter. The tagliatelle and game ragu was perfect. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. We loved our desserts of panna cotta & cheesecake. The service was fantastic, attentive and bringing us the best tasting wine. I loved sitting outside in the beautiful piazza. This was a great meal and one we will cherish during our wonderful Venice stay.

We had our romantic dinner for our anniversary in this lovely restaurant. They are very well organised for outdoor, in this quite "campiello". As we were only visiting the city for few days, we booked the morning before, anticipating they could have been fully booked, and in fact we did well because, during our dinner, many people stopped by asking for a table and there was no availability. The staff has been very friendly with us and the food was lovely, well presented and very tasty. I don't remember the names of the dishes we had and I don't recognise them on the picture menu. Perhaps they were part of a previous menu. But we really enjoyed the evening and recommend to book a lunch or dinner if in town.

Without a doubt, this was our favorite dinner during our week-long vacation in Venice. From the moment we walked in, we felt transported to another dimension. The bustle and hustle of St. Mark’s Square was suddenly replaced by a much more serene energy, all while maintaining the magic and beauty of Venice through an intimate and beautiful ambiance. I’m usually a fan of Al fresco dining, but for Hostaria Bacanera we recommend you dine indoors. It’s just too beautiful sit outside. When it comes to the food… there is no other way to put it; everything was simply exquisite. With every bite we tasted the emphasis and creativity they put on high-quality ingredients. This is true Venetian cuisine, elevated. We started with the tuna tartare and it was definitely the best one I’ve ever had. Our first courses consisted of the tagliatelle with goose sauce and the fusilli with rocket pesto and goat cheese. Both were delicious, but the tagliatelle was a definite winner in my book. For the second course, I had the cooked at low temperature on doskon cream, beetroot sauce and smoked shittake mushrooms — it was divine. My partner had the fish of the day which was amberjack. He really loved it! We finished our meal with the pannacotta served with matcha tea. It wasn’t my favorite and I still prefer the traditional recipe, but it was fun to try. Definitely make a reservation as they get quite booked! Also, the service was simply the best one we had in Venice. All in all, one of our favorite meals ever.

Simply perfect. In Venice it is just impossible to eat something good and this restaurant is not just good, is truly amazing. The owner Paolo is just the sweetest and kindest host and gives such a genuine touch to the whole restaurant. The food from the starters, pasta and main to the dessert is 11/10. We tried almost everything from the menu and we even ordered the same plate again after tasting it because it was that good. Every time I visit Venice I’ll 100% go back to this place every single time.

Friendliest service we’ve had in Italy. Delicious, high quality food with Italian and (seemingly) Asian influences. Complimentary bread and cookies. Many options including daily dessert and seafood specials. They only have 2 vegetarian options (I wish there were more) but they were amazing. The terasse is in a quiet square away from the crowds but not far from central Venice.

Amazing dinner with high quality ingredients! Had a nice dinner in the square just outside the restaurant, perfect for summertime. The menu has a good variety and the fish dishes are particularly tasty. Nice wine selection too. The service is on point, all waiters were knowledgeable on the menu as well as on the product used. Definitely a must try since is quite central but also attended by locals. Prices are fair given the quality served.

Cibo: poche portate ma di qualità e possibilità di consumare menù completo. Di antipasto ho ordinato schie con polenta, molto ben fatto. Porzione molto molto abbondante. Di secondo fritto misto, ben fatto anch'esso e particolare (calamari, gamberetti, baccalà, pescetti piccoli). Preparano e servono cibo per celiaci (affidabili). Risotto di go e zuppa di pesce anni 80 entrambi buoni anche se il riso, a mio avviso, era troppo cotto. Buona carta dei vini con però ricarico eccessivo. Servizio: adeguato, la spiegazione dei piatti potrebbe forse essere più dettagliata (ho chiesto cosa contenesse la zuppa di pesce ricevendo come risposta un generico "pesce e molluschi misti"). Ambiente: il locale si trova in una piazzetta nascosta dove in estate si può mangiare all'aperto. L'interno consiste di un'unica sala, con pochi tavoli quindi obbligatoria la prenotazione. Arredamento molto curato e di buon gusto. Cucina aperta sulla sala principale con pro (bello vedere come cucinano) e contro (odore di fritto si sente ahimè). Prezzo: non è un ristorante economico ma tutto sommato vale il prezzo. Food: few courses but of good quality and possibility of consuming a complete menu. As an appetizer I ordered schie with polenta", which were very well done. Very very generous portion. As second main I had Mixed fried fish (squid, prawns, cod, small fish), also well cooked. They prepare and serve food for celiacs ( ery reliable). "Risotto di go" and "80's fish soup" were both good although the rice, in my opinion, was overcooked. Good wine list but with an excessive mark-up. Service: adequate, the explanation of the dishes could perhaps be more detailed (I asked what the fish soup contained and received a generic "mixed fish and shellfish" response). Atmosphere: the restaurant is located in a hidden square where in summer you can eat outdoors. The interior consists of a single room, with few tables so the reservation is mandatory (or highly recommended). Very nice and tasteful furnishings. Kitchen open onto the main room with pros (nice to see how they cook) and cons (unfortunately you can smell the smell of fried food). Price: It's not a cheap restaurant but all in all it's worth the price.

Ristorante fine dining di ottimo livello. Servizio impeccabile. Menù con un mix di proposte semplice e esplorazioni più sofisticate di piatti noti. Antipasto di alto livello tra una tartare di ricciola e una piovra in doppia cottura. Buoni piarri principali, in particolare il filetto di dentice. Dolci sufficienti, con proposte buone ma non del livello del resto del menù. Ottimi i consigli di vino in abbinamento. In definitiva ristorante molto consigliato.

Buona la qualità del cibo, purtroppo la serata è stata rovinata da una serie di inconvenienti. In primis la lunga attesa, 45 minuti per un antipasto. In seguito comanda sbagliata per i primi, quindi uno servito "in tempo" anche se l'attesa è stata altrettanto lunga ma purtroppo freddo. Ancora attesa per l'altro primo, mi aspettavo che sarebbe stato preparato in maniera espressa dato l'errore. Poi altra attesa per il secondo. Avremmo voluto il dessert ma abbiamo desistito. Una cena che purtroppo è stata rovinata dall'esperienza più che dal cibo, peccato perché era la sera di San Valentino e far cenare una coppia a round oltre che trattenerla 2 ore e 30 non lascia un buon ricordo. Altra nota stonata i tavoli, troppo piccoli per la dimensione dei piatti, 3 bicchieri a testa, il pane, il burro, i fiori al centro. Ci ha salvati una madia adiacente la nostra posizione della quale ci siamo serviti per liberare il tavolo.

Locale con piatti tipici della tradizione veneziana. Molto gradito il cicchetto di benvenuto con una scodella di pesciolini fritti. In generale piatti curati, ben presentati ma un po' troppo elaborati e tanto da risultare pesanti. Ambiente informale e personale cordiale. Ottima carta dei vini. Prezzi un po' altini ma ci sta a Venezia.

La premessa è che il servizio fa del suo meglio e questo lo abbiamo apprezzato. Ma ci sono state una serie di cose che proprio ci hanno lasciati molto perplessi. Prima nota stonata: la musica. Un locale che si mostra così raffinato non può offrire una musica di sottofondo da playlist da piano bar. Il cibo non è stato male, ma nemmeno soddisfacente. La cosa peggiore è stata il comportamento del cuoco: il nostro tavolo era proprio attaccato alla cucina e abbiamo sentito una serie di imprecazioni e bestemmie rivolte all’aiuto cuoco che era palesemente alle sue prime armi. Per finire il dolce: fortunatamente ci è stato gentilmente tolto dal conto ma portare un crème caramel sbagliato in quanto ci si é dimenticati dello zucchero è imbarazzante. Per finire, il conto non da poco.

Locale grazioso in angolo delizioso della città. Purtroppo siamo usciti con la fame: il guazzetto, per la modica cifra di 28€, conta 4 vongole e 4 cozze vuote e uno scampo, pur cucinati in un buon brodetto. Il maialino, ottimo gusto, ma dubito arrivasse a 100gr, così l'ombrina. Etc etc. Peccato. Ci siamo sentiti presi in giro, grazie per lo sconto di 6€ (su 186€). Abbiamo preferito chiudere in gelateria.

We waited more than an hour for our order and were greatly, deeply dissatisfied and disappointed by the food. The shrimp tagliatelle was just small portion of boiled pasta with no seasoning and two small shrimps on top for 25 euro. The risotto was inedible and the wine was bad. The atmosphere was nice but not worth waiting more than an hour for a very simple order while the restaurant was basically empty.

This restaurant looks good, but the food quality is majorly lacking. The “Octopus Salad” is not a salad but rather cold octopus with terrible flavor mixed with undercooked potatoes. No apparent seasoning is present and it is highway robbery compared to the quality you get. The sea bream had an alright flavor but was again paired with undercooked potatoes void of seasoning and instead drenched in olive oil. Unpleasant to say the least. Skip this place. It isn’t worth it, plain and simple. Funnily enough as I sat writing this review a rat ran right by my feet. Not sure that the establishment could do anything about that but it seems fitting as that is the perhaps the only animal that could have enjoyed their Octopus Salad. Edit to respond to owner: If you would have come out you would have been able to see that my wife and I dined at your establishment. Neither of us had a good time or enjoyed your food. We are both able to review. Not a duplicate but two separate views by two separate people. Both found your food to be bad. If you want to dine with a chef this petty, then by all means.
