After thirty years in New York, I still look for places here that hold the warmth and familiarity of the Venice I grew up in. Ancóra Venezia, right near Rialto, is one of those rare spots. It’s where I can sit down, speak with people who feel like neighbors, and enjoy the beauty of the city without the rush of the crowd. The atmosphere is intimate, welcoming, and genuine. And the cocktails? Crafted with care, never rushed, full of character. The kind you sip slowly because you actually want to taste what you’re drinking. For me, Ancóra is not just a bar. It’s a reminder that Venice still holds spaces of quiet conviviality, where you can meet good people and feel at home. And that’s something I’ll always come back for.

Me and my girlfriend always go to this bar to have a great and funny time in Venice! The staff is incredibly friendly (especially Kevin Luca and Valentina) and attentive, making you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. They speak multiple languages and are very helpful and supperrr kind !!! I am a barkeeper in Vienna and I love the cocktails here. Very unique and a wonderful romantic place to spend some time :) We‘ll definitely come back every time we come to Venice !

This place is very good. We went twice, and all of the dishes we tried were excellent. We also tried the meatballs of the bar and they were very tasty. Very good view on the canal. The waiter and the owner are very nice. The waiter shared stories about Venice, and was very knowledgable about the wine he had, as opposed to many other places.

This is a lovely family run business in a lovely location. I accidentally ordered the Venetian mixed appetizer with anchovies, sardines, cuttlefish, and 2 differently prepared cod fish. I decided to to try it, and loved all of it! The location is ideal and the pricing was more than fair. Both the daughter and father running the restaurant were kind and accommodating making us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend that you come and enjoy an experience like mine!

Came here for a drink in the nice courtyard, Everyone from the owner to the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Affordable drinks made right, hard to find an Italian feel in Venice but these guys have it perfect.

Two floor bar and restaurant. We came here on a Saturday night for drinks, there was live music and a DJ. Was very lively and they thrived to give good service. Some people were dancing and we had lots of fun!

Abbiamo prenotato con la piattaforma degli sconti. Il locale è a 1 minuto a piedi dal ponte di Rialto. Non è spazioso, ma lo trovo caratteristico. Penso che possa andare bene sia come ristorante che come bacaro. Il personale è gentile e disponibile. I piatti sono buoni ma alcuni non mi hanno emozionato come la piovra e i dolci. Consiglio vivamente il fondo di carciofo con baccalà mantecato, gli spaghetti con nero dì seppia. È meglio prenotare. Senza vino, in 4 abbiamo speso 142 euro.

Siamo arrivati in all’Ancora per caso mentre cercavamo un locale per bere uno buono spritz e mangiare dei buoni cicchetti vicino al Ponte di Rialto che si affaccia sul Canal Grande e non siamo rimasti delusi L’interno è piccolino è molto ben curato, so che c’è anche un primo piano dove si trova il ristorante. Abbiamo preso 2 spritz è molto cicchetti , tutto molto buono e prezzo giusto considerando la zona. Personale molto gentile e disponibile

Cena aziendale,sono partito prevenuto e pensavo di mangiare in un ristorante da turisti,invece mi ha stupito! Non mi è piaciuto che abbiano servito degli antipasti senza nemmeno darci un piattino,e che il mio calice era segnato sul vetro dall'usura, ma le portate che ci hanno servito erano eccezionali! Riso alla provola e radicchio,buonissimo, tortelli burro e salvia avevano una pasta buonissima fatta in casa e le pappardelle alle castraure favolose! Da provare! I secondi anch'essi buonissimi io personalmente ho preso la coscia di anatra,sembrava burro! Guanciale di manzo buonissimo. Punto debole il tiramisù,buono ma niente di speciale. Consiglio di andarci,ritengo che la cucina sappia esprimere molto bene la sua arte.

Bellissimo il posto, ottimi i cicchetti, baccalà mantecato e alla vicentina una specialità! Un po’ costoso, per 4 crostini (piccoli) e 4 spritz Campari 44€. Comunque siamo a Venezia, una delle città più belle del mondo e in più la cicchetteria è fronte canal grande...

À Nice place to enjoy a drink and the river view. Food - the food was good but the pasta was not cooked all the way so some of it was hard. As well we tried the ink pasta but it wasn't as good as we thought it will be. Service - the service was very nice and helpful. We recived recommendations and felt welcomed. Atmosphere - was very beautiful place to enjoy a meal. I recommend to come to enjoy drinks at that location in the summer while enjoying the city visit.

Great atmosphere around with lovely music, if you are lucky some tables overlooking the Canal Grande. Food is tasty and authentic with some reinterpretation. Cocktails are perfect, Spritz are superlative!! Vegetarian options available!!

Bel locale non distante dal ponte di Rialto. L'interno è ben curato ma gli spazi sono molto piccoli. Provato Spritz Veneziano (così così) e alcuni cicchetti abbastanza buoni. Prezzi in linea con gli altri locali della zona. Nel complesso esperienza discreta.

So so experience. Nice location. Accommodating staff, with decent enough service. Food was just OK, like most of the restaurants we've experienced in Italy. So disappointing.

Cicchetti imbarazzanti. 9 cicchetti, 2 ostriche,1litro di acqua(microfiltrata €4,50) e 2 spritz(uno virgin)70 eurini. Pane dei crostini gommoso e fritti freddi, molli ed unti. 3 euro di coperto esagerato. Unica nota positiva cameriera molto carina.

Premetto che questa recensione è rivolta al bar e non al ristorante. Sono passato con alcuni colleghi universitari per prendere qualcosa da bere e il locale, in sé, si presenta carino, soprattutto la parte sopraelevata, molto accogliente. Il problema purtroppo è stato il personale. I ragazzi al piano inferiore ci hanno fatto salire senza alcuna obiezione, ma una volta sopra il cameriere ha iniziato a insistere perché ce ne andassimo. Il motivo? Avevamo un drink servito in un bicchiere di plastica invece del vetro e ci eravamo seduti a un tavolo non ancora sparecchiato — cosa che, tra l’altro, si fa in molti posti e a noi non dava alcun fastidio, anzi, era solo per liberare spazio. Ciò che ci ha davvero messo a disagio sono stati i modi: mentre io e un mio collega rispondevamo con tono pacato, il cameriere ha alzato i toni e mancato di rispetto, probabilmente approfittando del fatto che fossimo un gruppo di ragazzi e non accettava obiezioni. Avendo lavorato nel settore, so bene che non è così che ci si rivolge a dei clienti. Spero che questa recensione possa servire a migliorare l’organizzazione interna e, soprattutto, l’educazione e l’approccio verso la clientela.

Di solito vado in quelli vicino ma sono voluto andare lì per cambiare e perché: Spritz tipico veneziani, dove di fianco è in giro arriva al massimo a 5 euro, li 7 euro. Mi sono detto che forse era speciale. Purtroppo no Anche i cicchetti non erano niente di speciale Direi che non lo consiglio assolutamente Si trova meglio e a meno (anche lì di fianco)

Fortunati solo perché sotto il ponte di rialto, spritz servito con vino bianco fermo dal bottiglione di 3L da 2€/L per 4€ totali di sprtiz, il "seltz" era una bottiglietta della san Benedetto in plastica sgasata, per non parlare delle proporzioni cannate totalmente, da veneziano un affronto. Preso uno cicchetto con sarde in saor (a 3 euro) che mi è tornato su dopo 5min... Cameriere simpatico.

I “gentilissimi” camerieri ci hanno servito uno spritz a 4€ con il vino liscio, e non con il prosecco. Dopo esserci lamentati ci hanno spiegato con arroganza che lo spritz originariamente si fa col vino liscio. Ma chi pensate di prendere in giro ?

Non metto meno stelle perché non si può. 1. Ci hanno trattato male. Ci hanno obbligato a cambiare tavolo mentendo che un tavolo liberoo era prenotato. Dopo un ora che siamo andati via non è arrivato nessuno a quel tavolo. 2. 7€ lo sprizz.. semo fora de testa?????? 3. Le discussioni in publico tra il capo e il lavoratore sono ridicole davanti ai clienti. 4. Bagni che fanno paura Posto orrendo non andrei mai

We went for an afternoon drink and ordered a Hugo Spritz and a Lemoncello Spritz. While the Hugo Spritz was reasonable, the Lemoncello was just awful. I complained to the waitress and she said she knew it was awful because it's not something they normally serve. And you couldn't warn your client? And if it's awful, why serve it? Really, a very disapointing service

Don't really post reviews, but a very rude elderly staff member made this experience quite uncomfortable. Perhaps I don't know etiquette, but I ordered an espresso costing .5 which is cheap but too little to be charged by card, so he wheezed and charged 1.5, fine. I the n go to take a seat when it was almost entirely empty, and he wheezed and shouted that you need to spend 3 to seat. So I stood and drank the espresso asap to leave. If you're going to treat tourists like that, and have such rules, at the very least either put a sign up saying so or at least say it with some empathy, not shouting. Such a shame as it ruined my mood. Seems to be a similar experience from several other reviewers, so be aware.
