We sat in the beach view front room. Big beautiful windows there to see the ocean and sunset. On a cleae day like we had, you can see the coastal islands. Amazing how big they are. I had the Coconut Shrimp and a big baked potato. Other persons in my group had the Fish and chips and a big beautiful burger. The service was impeccable. Our server was on top of replenishing what we needed. Will we return? Most definitely. 10 out of 10 in my eyes.
I've eaten here twice already while I've been staying at Ventura Beach. The bartenders are so nice and the food is absolutely amazing! Well worth it! The photo is of their Bistro Vegan Burger. The tempeh bacon mushrooms with the veggie burger is so delicious...highly recommend! 😋
19 of us gathered for a birthday fete. Haven't been to Aliha for a few years and the minute I walked in to the dining room I thought, "wow haven't been here in a while, I I've been missing out." I like the vibe here. Busy but not noisy, spacious, attractive with some great ocean views. The group of us had a wonderful time together and the Aloha "package" of ambiance, wonderfully prepared and presented food and top shelf service coalesce to make that possible. We shared like 8 different appetizers all of which were excellent and a variety of steaks and seafood were ordered. Will hope to be back soon! Thank you Aliha Steakhouse!
Peter gave us exceptional service tonight. We came in with a large group last minute and the hostess was able to seat us. Peter had our group laughing and was very patient with our large party ordering. Food was very good and presented well. Highly recommend!
I travel to Ventura every January and always eat at Aloha Steakhouse. It has always been good but this year (January 2026) in particular stands out. I've never been to any restaurant where the entire group ordered and raved about the house salad! The food just improved from there. The Manager, Tim, was outstanding and when an issue was brought to his attention he handled it immediately. We literally ate there for 3 out of 4 dinners - it's that good.
We’re regulars at Aloha Steakhouse and went in for lunch during the Ventura Vegan Chef Challenge. This is their second year participating, and they really stepped up their game. The vegan dishes felt intentional and thoughtfully created, not just meat swapped out for substitutes. Everything was flavorful, satisfying, and stood on its own. None of us missed meat at all. The cauliflower al pastor tacos with grilled pineapple were fantastic. Great balance of sweet and savory and really well cooked. The chorizo pesto pizza surprised us in the best way. The soy chorizo had a nice crispness, the flatbread had great texture, and the flavors worked beautifully together. The sweet and spicy tofu was another standout, especially the sauce, which had just the right amount of heat. Portions on all three dishes were generous. We ended with the apple cake, which we absolutely loved. It was a big, warm slice with caramel sauce. The vanilla ice cream is made from coconut and tapioca. While I personally tend to prefer oat or cashew-based vegan ice creams, others at our table really enjoyed it. Between the food, welcoming service, and relaxed atmosphere, this was a great experience. Kudos to the chef and team for embracing the challenge and creating vegan dishes that truly shine.
My first time here, and i was very impressed. We had a reserved party of 12 and they did excellent with us. Food orders were correct, timing was great. Food was delicious. Wait staff was very friendly and patient. And the views of the ocean, you cant beat. Will defiently go here again.
We had a reservation but I spoke with the awesome manager, Tim and he was so generous to seat us by the window. The ocean and view was spectacular. The food exceeded our expectations. My prime rib was perfect and the appetizer combo was so good! Highly recommend! It was my birthday and they gave us the yummiest dessert on the house. Just a great place!

We sampled a variety of dishes during our visit — soup, shrimp, burgers, and items from the kids’ menu — and everything exceeded our expectations. The soup was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. It had a comforting depth, the kind that warms you from the inside and immediately sets the tone for a great meal. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the seasoning was just right, neither too bold nor too mild. The shrimp were another highlight. They were cooked perfectly — tender, juicy, and seasoned with a light tropical flair that really matched the restaurant’s Hawaiian theme. Each bite felt fresh and vibrant, with a flavor that made you want to order a second plate. We also tried their burgers, which were surprisingly impressive. The patties were juicy, the buns were soft yet sturdy, and the toppings were fresh and thoughtfully chosen. It’s the kind of burger that feels satisfying without being overly heavy. Even the kids’ menu stood out. Portions were generous, the food was prepared with care, and everything looked appetizing — something that’s not always the case with children’s options at other restaurants. Our little one enjoyed the meal just as much as we did. Overall, Aloha Stake House delivers excellent food, a relaxed atmosphere, and consistently high quality across the entire menu. It’s a great place for families, casual dinners, or simply enjoying a delicious meal with a touch of island charm. I highly recommend it.
Excellent service from Bo and our waiter who was training him. Food was absolutely delicious- the clam chowder is a 10! If nothing else, go there to try it. I had a macadamia encrusted halibut and my spouse had the herbed chicken. Garlic mashed potatoes, and fresh asparagus. We brought home a cheesecake with caramel sauce. Watch the surfers and passersby while you eat. Beautiful pier just outside the window. Modern surf decor. Clean restrooms. Beautiful bar. Reasonably priced for what it is nowadays. They validate the parking for 2 hours.
Went here on a work trip. Food and drinks were amazing. I has the 12oz Aloha cut Prime Rib. Awesome service by Evan, I highly recommend him. Also such a fantastic view of the Ventura pier and Ocean.
Aloha steakhouse was suggested by a friend and in my stay in Ventura I descide to try. The salman is absolutely delicious. The food is so delicious that I went back the next day for dinner and try their filet mignon and it was amazing the meet melted in my mouth. I take my hat to the chef. Awesome. Super friendly staff and very accommodating. I do recommend it if you are in Ventura.
Aloha steakhouse is the best place to eat in all of Ventura. I had an amazing server by the name of Valerie Garbe. She was amazing to talk to took care of me with every fiber in he being. She made me feel like family while I was there. The food was good and the atmosphere was good but the service was phenomenal. The one reason I would definitely recommend this place is because of Valerie she truly made the experience unforgettable ❤️
Rib Eye Steaks 🥩, Wedge salads, chocolate souffle and banana's foster OH MY! Food was delicious, service was great and ambiance fun with an Ocean view. Watch people stroll along the boardwalk as you make up your own stories as they pass by while the server flambes your bananas foster table side. There is a kids menus, paid parking with 2 hr validation. A great place for a fun dinner with family or friends.
We've been visiting Aloha for at least 15 years - their menu and service are excellent. Everything from shrimp to burgers to salads to filet mignon and lobster, there's something for everyone. Great cocktails, ocean view, nice upscale coastal decor - it's a favorite for date nights and special occasions in our home! We recently held my son's wedding rehearsal dinner in their sunroom and it was over-the-top amazing. Service, food, drinks, our custom menu.... We came to Aloha Steakhouse on a Sunday evening around 5 PM. Even though it was pretty busy, we were seated right away. Our waiter was kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. We had a booth which was perfect for our small kids. They even gave them crayons and coloring books to keep them entertained. The atmosphere was really nice and upscale but still family friendly which we really appreciated. We even had a view of the ocean from our booth and the noise level was just right, not too loud. The food was outstanding. We had the ribeye cooked rare and it was absolutely perfect. The steak came with steamed vegetables that were fresh and flavorful. Our kids had cheeseburgers and fries and we also tried the craft burger with fries. The fries were crispy and delicious across the board. Multiple staff members checked on us throughout the meal but it never felt overwhelming. Sometimes restaurants overdo it but this was just outstanding service from start to finish. Overall it was a great experience with amazing food, excellent service, and a comfortable environment for families. We will definitely be back.
We were at the beach and got hungry, placed an order over the phone and in 30 mins it was ready. Wow! Just wow! The lobster tail was pure perfection -- succulent, buttery, and utterly delicious. Paired with mash potatoes and Caesar salad, this meal was a home run. A must-try lobster 🦞 in Ventura!
We went to Aloha Steakhouse in Ventura looking for a place to eat some fresh cooked fish. We were not disappointed by our dinner choice for date night. The interior design of the restaurant was well designed. They have seating indoor & outside seating, with a nice bar area to grab a drink, while you wait for a table. The service was very good and we were able to get a booth with a reservation. The staff was very friendly and our waiter was kind and attentive. We really enjoyed the salmon and halibut. My wife got the salmon with the house salad and it was very refreshing. I tried the halibut, which was the daily fish special. I got it prepared with the Parmesan crust. The fish was delicious and very satisfying. They also do parking validation. The next time we come try some of the steak options!

Aloha Steakhouse has always been a special place for my family and friends to gather for important celebrations. The service is consistently excellent, and tonight our server, Beau, was truly exceptional while taking care of our large group. In this day and age, great service really means a lot, and Beau delivered it beautifully.

The food is delicious, the service is good the unfortunate thing here is they ran out of sour cream for my baked potato. We stayed another day in Ventura. We decided to try out Aloha Steak in Ventura on a Wednesday evening, right by the beach near the pier, this place was lively! Even midweek, it was packed, but we got a table quickly and checked out their happy hour menu, which was seriously awesome. We got a bit carried away with the ordering—the clam chowder was a total standout, super creamy and bursting with flavor. The chicken satay was alright but a little dry. The fish and chips were solid, with flaky fish and perfectly crispy fries. And the shrimp cocktail? Those shrimps were huge and super fresh. Service was a bit slow, likely because of a big party in the restaurant keeping the staff busy. Still, the food quality was top-notch, and the ocean view from our table was fantastic—such a great Ventura beach vibe. Plus, free parking with validation was a nice perk. If you’re after a vibrant spot for a meal by the water, Aloha Steak’s a solid choice for a weeknight or any night!
Me and my spouse came here to celebrate our anniversary for future reference it’s better to make a reservation cause this place gets packed even on a week day. The food here was really good we tried the artichoke dip with the jalapeño toast and was so good I really need to know how they make that toast also tried the teriyaki chicken which was also really good but extremely overpriced! paid $30 for a piece of chicken and a slice of grilled pineapple not mention that it only comes with one side for that price we should I least get two! Overall I did enjoy the service from our waitress.
