Excellent food, excellent seasoning, generous portions, and a good price. If you want to experience authentic Veracruz cuisine, this is the place to go, located right in the heart of the historic center of the port of Veracruz.

Excellent place. My only recommendation is that they don't put the tables together unless specifically requested, due to the number of diners. Some people have to wait, and there are tables with only one or two people, but because the two tables are together, the other empty chairs can't be used. You'd have to share a table, and if you want some privacy, you can't.

How do you explain the taste of a piece of land and sea? The blend of aromas and textures combined result in unsurpassed dishes: roasted and seasoned chiles on charred fresh fish, or a simmering clay pot with seafood and fresh, melted string cheese, a mix of soup and fondue. It's all fusion, but the Veracruz coast meets Veracruz land, the best of all combinations. The place, still not gentrified, is a large house with a double-height ceiling that, after decades, has been air-conditioned. Affordable prices, and at the end, a traditional dessert from a vendor who's become a fixture on the famous corner.

The flavor of the dishes, the portion sizes, the quality of the seafood, the service, and the price make this an excellent place to eat seafood! So good that we went twice in three days. A must-visit when visiting Veracruz port.

I arrived with high expectations and left with a huge smile because of how delicious the food was. I highly recommend the arroz a la tumbada; it's one of the best I've ever had. They serve it with a cracked habanero pepper submerged in the soup—it's delicious. The waitress's service was also excellent. I hope to return soon.

I'm not giving it 6 stars because I can't. Musicians play, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. The food is great value for money and really affordable; all the dishes are hearty and delicious. My wife almost married the chef; she said she'd marry Veracruz because of its flavor. For two people, it came to $450. And $650 (yes, we ate there two days in a row).

It's an unassuming spot in the heart of Veracruz's historic center. The only real luxury is the food. The salsas are delicious, very homemade. The arroz a la tumbada was an incredible experience; the flavor of the broth and the incredibly fresh ingredients were a wonderful surprise. We also ordered shrimp and octopus cocktails, both absolutely delicious. There's no parking on-site, but there are nearby options. They don't accept credit cards, but they do provide receipts. This restaurant is truly worth it; we'll definitely be back.
