OMG! This place is amazing. Food is off the chain awesome and the wine tasting events are out of this world. Highly recommend to anyone. Now that I think of it, don't go there. I want it to myself.

I went in late and really would have liked to have more time to try the menu. I did get an ahi salad and a flatbread, both of which were delicious. I need to go again with more time to give a proper review.

Lovely dinner, pork belly and foie gras especially nice. Good service and exceptional drinks. Highly recommend in Vero.

Phenomenal wine bar with amazing food. We stumbled upon this place and are so happy to have found it. From the wine, to the appetizer, all the way to desert, we were in awe of the delicious flavors coming out of the kitchen. Our server, Brandi, was top notch. She was kind, quick, knowledgeable, and just all around amazing. We WILL be making this a regular spot for us. To anyone considering having a meal here, you will NOT regret it.

Amazing food! Chef Michael is so talented. The fish of the day was my favorite and so fresh! I would definitely recommend it. Great wine list as well. I Definitely would go back and bring friends to sit at community table in the middle.

Conveniently located near my home and work. I visited River Twist for the first time and was welcomed and seated immediately. The menu has such a great selection and I tried the Cuban Sandwich (my servers recommendation.) The sandwich was served with a pasta salad, coleslaw, and a piece of watermelon. Very delicious! Washed it down with a Stella. This place has a great ambiance and I look forward to going there again.

This is a great new restaurant in Vero Beach. It is a hidden gem in a little strip center. The staff was gracious and knowledgeable. We had a large group for dinner and everyone enjoyed all the food (and wine). The chef, Michael made amazing food and created a great menu. The lamb chops were incredible and the special that night was a black cod which was a hit with everyone at the table. We even went back for brunch on Sunday!

Vegetarian friendly!!! Service was fantastic, the food was unbelievable. The side salad was so crisp and fresh. I am a vegetarian and the owners were extremely accommodating and the chef even made me a specialty plate of vegetables. Usually when I get a side of vegetables at a restaurant they are unseasoned and seem like an afterthought but these were so beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back.

Don't be fooled by the strip mall location - this feels and tastes like a chic bistro in NYC. Interesting menu and favorites like ( the veal chop, the tuna and soba noodles, the meatloaf) that will have you planning your return before you get the check ! Fan favorite feels like family when you dine! Yum

One of the better restaurants in vero beach. Pretty impressed with their menu. We decided to try several appetizers tonight and they were all so unique.

1st time visit. Place is larger than we thought cute decos too. Sat at the bar. Cocktails great. 3 of us. Shrimp. Beef. Fish. All excellent. And hot!!!! 2 desserts 👍👍but forgot that I mentioned it was a Bday dinner when I called for reservation. Would have been fun🤷🏻‍♀️A new find & we shall return. Easy parking & close to home. Noise level good. Not crowded.

Every time I come to Vero Beach I make certain to dine at River Twist. The food and presentation are incredible. The owner comes out and ensures that you’re satisfied. The servers, particularly Stacey, are pleasant and attentive. I absolutely love this restaurant!!

Agree with all of the reviews! The restaurant is fantastic! Creative- delicious and great atmosphere- my only comment is the $16.00 split charge (seemed high) that we were not informed of to split an entree- I would have made other menu choices and just took a bite from my spouse’s plate- But, definitely worth going!!

This is a must try for anyone in the area for a visit, and for residents alike! I've worked in restaurants for over 20 years, and I can honestly say this place is for real. The service is prompt, accurate, and professional. The kitchen - absolutely PERFECT product sent to our table. My hat is off, and my recommendation is in. Do yourself a flavor favor and eat here.

Hands down our favorite dinner place in town. INCREDIBLE food. Chef Michael is a master at his craft & puts so much love into every dish. The atmosphere is relaxed & the decor is simple but contemporary. Lorraine & Kade are always welcoming and friendly and Stacey is an amazing, attentive server. Highly recommend the lump crab cakes, fried alligator bites, seared beef tournedos and of course dessert!!

River Twist Food Restaurant in Vero Beach is an absolute gem! The food quality here is top-notch, delivering a culinary experience that exceeds expectations. What a hidden gem! The atmosphere is great, the decor is so fun. The apps are really the go to- share with your table and try them out. Service is always great!

Excellent food, great atmosphere, perfect service. This is a small restaurant that you wouldn't notice if you were driving by. I barely found the place after a frequent customer gave me directions in the passenger seat. I had never even heard of River Twist in my 10 years in Vero. We will be going back! The aura was perfect for a first date or 10 year anniversary. The menu options covered a wide range of tastes and left little to be desired. I was quite impressed with everything we had and half the group shared bites of their meals. Each item, the salmon, steak, and chicken were seasoned and cooked to perfection. I am told the owner is also the cook, thats how you know he takes pride in what he serves. The guava cheesecake was quite a treat, the wife loved it! 10/10, would recommend!

My husband and I are blown away by the meals we just enjoyed. It was our first visit to this restaurant and it is our new favorite place! We are making it our go-to from now on. The service was great and the food was really, really incredible! How lucky we are to have a restaurant of this caliber in our small town. If you haven’t tried it, you must!!

We were in Vero for our annual family weekend and celebrating my husband's birthday. Each year I try to find a new place, and River Twist came up as a recommendation. From the first email correspondence making our reservation, to the completion of dinner, I couldn't have been happier. The restaurant sits in a strip mall, and is such a wonderfully eclectic warm environment. The staff was phenomenal, they were all very knowledgeable and such great personalities. I'm assuming it was one of the owners who stopped by several times to check in on our experience- a great touch! Thank you all for making our weekend even more special. The food was ourstanding!! My son inlaw couldnt stop talking about the chicken livers, and the portions are very generous. We highly recommend the lemon- blueberry creme brulee or the bourbon peacan bread pudding to finish off the night! We may need to make it to Vero Beach more than once a year!

This restaurant is absolutely outstanding! The customer service was warm and attentive, and the food exceeded all expectations. When you sit, they bring out a little complimentary starter toast topped with goat cheese and honey — it’s the perfect one-bite treat and such a thoughtful touch. Their mocktails are incredible — I had the Sweet Snap, and it was amazing! If you enjoy Caesar salad, this is a must-try. The caramelized lemon added such a unique and delicious touch — truly the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to come back!

We had an amazing dinner at River Twist last night. The lamb lollipops were amazing—also our group had the flounder special, swordfish, beef tornadoes and pasta with bolognese sauce—all were excellent—ambiance is lovely and wait staff very attentive—highly recommend!

What a great time last night. We met some friends here for dinner and everything was amazing. Stacey our server was one of the best The food was great and very plentiful, my wife enjoyed the wine and selection, some had cocktails and enjoyed them. The owner stopped by to make sure we were all happy, desert we ordered 4 of them and all were great. It was raining so we went by the kitchen and met the chef which also married to the other owner. Have to say it’s one of our favorite restaurants now. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed.

Awesome food. My wife and I both had salads. She has the chicken salad and I had the seared tuna tataki. Service was ok. Being a cafe/wine bar, I was surprised we weren't asked if we wanted some wine or to taste the bottle of the day. Come eat get satisfied. We did.

Such a great little restaurant! I went there the other night with a friend. The waitress got my order wrong- but it turned out ok! I kept it and was happy with it! I got the shrimp appetizer with chorizo (pictured) and a flatbread (veggie) I ended up taking the flatbread home it was so much food! The menu is creative and different, but a little limited. All in all - I will return!

Salmon with goat cheese on *croutons* is a delicious choice. Lovely atmosphere with pleasant service

The initial presentation seems to suggest a restaurant looking to cater to the higher end clientele. It is a noble attempt but unfortunately the final product falls short in a few areas. The decor is nice and infuses elements of Asia, the Mediterranean and traditional American in aninlce blend. The staff was courteous enough, but left out some explanation of the dishes. Being able to reel off the specials is one thing but not offering any details to them beyond the script, and not being able to offer any more to the dishes on the menu was poor. This place is known for creative cuisine. Staff should he able to offer more details. Creative dishes normally require it so diner knows what they are getting. The only actual ingredient in the beef carpaccio was the beef. Might want to let customer know. Dishes we got were the chicken pesto pizza, alligator bites, chicken livers and chicken breast. The alligator bites was probably the best dish. However, even here the alligator was a little overcooked, so it was tough and dry, and there was so little there wasn't much to it. The chicken livers were one note. It needed something else, desperately. Maybe a change in texture or flavor profile. It was very disappointing. Best in show was the Vero Beach Traditional drink. That was nice for the price. The chicken breast was ok and the chicken pesto pizza wa overcooked and quite dry. Overall, for the price points, the hype and the quality of ingredients I expected more. For the restaurant type it is very average.

Interesting menu selections, with some great cocktails and a very nice wine selection. The crab cake appetizer was over-salted for our taste but the veal chop and salmon entrees were very good. The room did a bit loud as the evening went on.

Great atmosphere, service was ok; two of us got the lamb chops, which were overcooked (grey throughout), others got the tuna, which was great. They have a fantastic wine list. Owner is super nice and visits the tables. Overall, I would love to return, and be specific on how well cooked your dish should be.

We received a gift certificate for this restaurant. Made a reservation for 6 and at the last minute (no time to call to change reservation to 4) 2 had to cancel because of sudden illness. Told hostess that and everything seemed fine. Sat at a four table versus six at suggestion of hostess. Empty four tables were available through the whole evening but the owner? Had to come over and “uncomfortably scolded” us for not letting them know about the two cancellations. Dinner was fine, nothing that we don’t experience at other restaurants who are nicer, expensive, won’t be back.

Service very poor, wait staff helpful and friendly. It didn’t matter what we ordered; drinks, appetizers or entrees it took a while for it to be served. In general, I suspect they’re short staffed. The food was okay not great. Prices were high for the value received, we’re unlikely to eat there again.

Our party of six had reservations at River Twist for early evening February 10, 2026. We arrived early. Shortly before arriving we learned that two of our party could not make it. We informed the hostess seating us upon arrival, whereupon she moved us to a table for four. Before our dinners arrived we were scolded by the (assumed) owner/manager that we were required to let the establishment know immediately of any changes, that River Twist is a small family-owned enterprise and how our change was most inconvenient. The message was repeated to our group more than once, one supposes to make sure we got the message. To be sure, we got the message. The service was slow; we noticed an immediate lag and lack of attention from our server. The restaurant was not filled to capacity. The meals were adequate yet unremarkable, especially given the prices. This was our first time to the establishment and there will not be a second. The experience was most disappointing.

This chef hit it out of the park with an eclectic execution consisting of a farm-to-table feel with flavor profiles that where southern, yet tropical. I would highly recommend, but unfortunately the server who is named Stacey was part of the sales prevention team. I have never met someone in a service role have such a rude disposition. I would typically not comment on these matters, but would hate for the chef and owner not be successful due to one individual. The server assist actually made up for Stacey’s lack of understanding on how businesses thrive, on customer service.
