They’ve been around for 75yrs with a very casual atmosphere and friendly staff; you will feel like you’re eating with friends and family. If you want good Italian home cooking, where you can eat family style you will not be disappointed. And order a cream puff; they are delicious and large enough to share.

My family and I had traveled all the way from Bergen County NJ tonight while visiting the area for an event and I am so happy we decided to dine here! As soon as we walked in, everyone that had helped us were extremely nice. Despite being very busy with no reservation, our server Johnny was super attentive, accommodating, and overall outstanding. The food is amazing and I seriously recommend their famous pizza as well as cream puff for dessert. We seriously cannot wait to come back!

Our first time there with friends who always go there. It was absolutely fabulous! The food was to die for. Pizza 🍕 is the best! The chicken so moist you can cut it with your fork. Wonderful time. The staff was so attentive and friendly. Will definitely be going back!

Location is out of the way, but way worth it. Haven't had any entrees so far but have stopped for pizza about 3-4 times now - Excellent every time. Update 12/12: Finally sat in for dinner, had eggplant and chicken parm (single entree, so awesome) and a large meatball pie. This is old. school. Italian. food. It really doesn’t get better. 0 complaints. Dining staff was friendly and accommodating. Update 1/21: Ordered a large pie takeout - Hot sausage, pepper, onion (and a chicken Caesar salad for the wife). Let me start off by saying that I’ve had pizza all over New York City, some of the best pizza in the world.. But wow was this one of the best pies I’ve ever had.. Really good stuff guys, thank you.

Great food(we had pizza, calamari rings, and a salad), the most delicious creme puff dessert I've EVER had, attentive servers, and an owner and chef that cared enough to come over to make sure we were having a good experience. I highly recommend it and next time we're back visiting from Wisconsin, we'll stop again!

The best Pizza which we had as an appatizer, excellent meal but the real prize was the chocolate cream puff. It should be call a personal chocolate cream pie. My eyes where definitely bigger than my stomach.

I liked this restaurant very much. It specializes in southern Italian with exceptional pizza. I loved the eggplant parm and lasagna. They offer high quality Italian wine by the glass. This place has withstood the test of time. I highly recommend eating here.

Went to Paradise restaurant in Verplanck for dinner tonight. I’ve picked up and had their pizza many times which has always been absolutely excellent. Tonight I went with some friends and had dinner there for the first time. It’s a very old-fashioned restaurant with a 60s vibe. They didn’t bring us any bread for our table until we asked for it, which I thought was a little unusual for an Italian restaurant. I didn’t order an appetizer, I just ordered an entrée, eggplant rollatini, And rather than pasta, I got a house salad. The owner, Joe, came over and chatted with us for a few minutes, which was very nice. In fact, he actually took our order. The waitress was very nice also, but I thought the service was quite slow. My friends agreed. My eggplant rollatini and my friends penne à la vodka meal came out at the same time. My other two friends had ordered calzones and the calzones came out about five or six minutes later. I thought that was rather odd. I was going to wait until we all had our food together, but I also didn’t want my food to get cold so after three or four minutes, I started eating. I was very happy with my eggplant rollatini, was delicious and a generous portion. My friend was not as happy with her penne à la vodka, there was not much cream in it, and according to her, there was also not any prosciutto in it whatsoever. It was a huge portion and the owner did add more cream to it for her when she complained. my friends seem to be very happy with their calzones and they were huge. For dessert, two of us got the cream puffs that seems to be their specialty and they were delicious and quite huge. My other friend got a slice of cheesecake. She said it was OK, nothing to write home about. I was very happy with my meal and I would definitely go back again. My friend with her penne à la vodka was definitely not as happy and I don’t know if she would give them another try. Their prices are quite reasonable, my entrée was $22. They have a fairly extensive menu, but I was surprised to see that they did not have salmon listed with the other fish entrées. Salmon is a very popular dish and has been for quite a few years so I’m surprised they don’t have it on the menu. As I said before, the service was slow. The dining room was not full, but there was quite a few people dining there tonight. Maybe they needed another waitress, I don’t know, but we had to wait for everything. Water, entrées, the bill, everything. And the owner of the restaurant, as I said, was helping. I would definitely go back again, the owner and the wait staff were very friendly and accommodating and I would definitely order their pizza as takeout, it’s been spot on every time! oh, and there appeared to be plenty of parking, none of us had any problems finding a parking spot.

Started out with an old fashioned drink, thumbs up. Dinner rolls were soft, crumbly, warm, like fresh made, probably. Then had the Eggplant and Veal parmesan with pene pasta. Each meal came out steaming hot, like right out of the oven. Delicious sauce, cooked perfectly. Waitress was very friendly and personable and made sure everything was good for us at the table. I had to slow down on the bread and the apps to save room for the main meal, good thing I did, everything on my plate I made disappear. More than worth it in my opinion. The atmosphere was like eating in Grandma's home friendly , inviting. Definitely gonna go back for more in the future.

It was a mediocre place. Very dated. Bartender was extremely friendly. Which was nice cuz he was the first person to greet me. When I walked in. I had to wait for my boyfriend. The food was your typical cookie cutter Italian food. We had mozzarella sticks that you could have gotten out of a box. My shrimp scampi with scallops over rigatoni had so much garlic. You couldn't taste anything else, not even the seafood. It was in a small bowl so it was messy. My boyfriend's dish was tasteless, he said. He's Italian from the Bronx. We had another appetizer that I can't even remember what it was. And the main thing that really bothered me was that the food was rushed out. We were not even finished with our appetizers and dinner was placed on the table. Everything felt rushed. It was not an enjoyable night.

This place is seriously overhyped. It definitely has the nice atmosphere of an old-school Italian restaurant, no doubt about that, but the downside is that it’s located right in the heart of Verplanck. I ordered takeout and waited way too long for a simple Italian meal. The baked ziti was just penne noodles with sauce and Parmesan sprinkled on top.. not what I expected at all. Worse, the texture made me sick to my stomach. Definitely won’t be ordering from here again. Just my honest opinion.
