We had no expectations, but they were far exceeded!! We tried the Fassona beef tartare, which was simply sublime... then the plin with butter and sage, the tajarin with ragù, the Barbaresco risotto, and the gnocchi with Fontal fondue... each one as good as the next. For the main courses, the sausage with polenta and the braised beef were a delight. We finished with the bunet and hazelnut cake for dessert, and they kindly offered us a selection of dry biscuits (so delicious!). We finished lunch with a good coffee and a wide selection of quality grappas!! In the kitchen, we spotted a woman in her 70s who we assumed was the mastermind behind those delicious dishes... how wonderful old-fashioned home cooking is!! Truly a highly recommended little place! Perhaps the only flaw is the prices... a little high in our opinion...
Authentic restaurant service and dishes
Very good good at a reasonable price. Very nice locatio
fantastic! cucina verita! just one remark ;-) they have to invest in a new fridge for the bar. (makes a terrible noise)
A wonderful family-run trattoria. My sweetheart and I visited on a Saturday for lunch during our vacation in this beautiful region. As soon as you enter, you immediately feel like you're a guest in the owners' home, yet they remain very discreet and professional. The charming windows offer a beautiful view of the surrounding houses and vineyards. Everything—from the tables, to the tablecloths, to the chairs, to the curtains, to the plants on the windowsills—gives you a warm, homely feeling. The dishes were all excellent: the charcuterie appetizer was wonderful, and two equally good first courses, both well-portioned. The house wine was excellent. The staff was also very accommodating to my allergies. The bill came to €49 in total, including an appetizer, two first courses, water, wine, and coffee. Finally, the trattoria has convenient parking a few meters down the hill, at the beginning of the climb that leads to their door. Highly recommended.
A family-run trattoria. As soon as you step inside, you feel right at home. All dishes are freshly prepared; so this isn't the place for those in a rush for dinner (or lunch). The dishes are prepared with quality ingredients. I recommend the guinea fowl: truly incredible, with a unique flavor. The desserts are also very good and carefully presented.
Refined and simple at the same time. The menu is simple, traditional, seemingly unfussy, but each dish is prepared with excellence. The appetizers (both hot and cold) are excellent, the Barbaresco risotto is superb, and the roast rabbit is spectacular. The wine list is well-stocked. Prices are reasonable, considering the quality of the cuisine and the fact that you won't leave hungry. Highly recommended.
First of all, I have to thank Patri for bringing us to this very characteristic place. You walk in and you already feel like part of the family, like in a respectable wine country.... at the entrance you find bottles of wine everywhere (fantastic) the owners, lovely people, sociable, very kind, smiling, competent and well-organized! Great dishes..... (Of course they're talking about truffles), (wines.....😁😁😁😁😋😋😋😋 need I say more??? ) Congratulations..... Only compliments...
World class service, really recommended. Vast regional wine list and the cuisine is unexpectedly elegant and sublime despite the rustic aspect. Believe me, just try it and enjoy the experience.
We came here again after our local friends took us here for dinner last year. It serves local dishes that are simple and unpretentious in presentation, but stunning in taste. Most unforgettable is the fresh and robust flavour of carne cruda (beef tartare), and the pasta with rabbit ragout. It also has local dessert items like "Bonet" and hazelnut cake. Service is lovely. I would surely return.
A pranzo in famiglia. A gestione completamente famigliare, gentili e professionali.
Classica trattoria piemontese, piatti semplici, buoni e genuini.
Rapporto qualità-prezzo assolutamente corretto. Inoltre esiste un bel posteggio comodo. Ritornarci è sempre un piacere.
The food was good, but I expected better. I ordered the rabbit maltagliati, but they were bland...unfortunately, they were also overcooked, and I didn't finish them. The tartare (appetizers) were good, along with the guinea fowl and braised beef, all well-cooked...the portions were a bit small. The Barbera wine was good. The desserts were delicious. The bill was perhaps a bit high.
Trattoria located in the Roero area. A welcoming location where you can sip typical local wines such as Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, and Barbera. The Barbera risotto and the tartare, naturally sourced from Piedmontese farms, are delicious. The apple and vanilla ice cream dessert is fabulous! Average value for money.
Fine good. A little pricy
We had a lovely meal at this cozy trattoria. The service was very friendly. We sampled local specialties: homemade tajarin with ragù, Barolo risotto, and sausage with polenta. A selection of local wines: Roero Arneis, Nebbiolo, Barolo, and Barbaresco. The price is affordable. The only drawback: they only have a couple of tables outside for dining.
We stopped at this trattoria for lunch on Sunday while touring the Langhe. We ordered two appetizers, two main courses, and two coffees. A bottle of water was included. The ingredients were excellent, and the dishes were very good. We spent a total of €70, with a discount from the owner. Frankly, I found the bill a bit steep. The service and atmosphere were average.
Sorry, but all the courses were tasteless. You could have tasted the appetizer or the main course with your eyes closed and couldn't tell the difference. Even the braised beef was forgettable.
