Loved the place. Location is across the harbor. Food is delicious. I will highly recommend the Grigliata Mista ( mixed seafood) and Mandilli Al Pesto. Service was fast and staff are friendly.

This was a great meal mid day (rare to find) reasonable price and really great setting. Not a tourist trap despite being in a tourist trap area, you can expect all Americans to be here at 3pm. Service was great and they brought the dog water right when we sat!

Perfect service! Friendly and attentive staff, although they understand minimal English they still try to attend to our needs which in my opinion is worth mentioning here.. the food is delicious! My steak was so tender and I love it! My family also enjoyed their lunch😍 we decided to also order dessert and they do not disappoint! Their apple pie was so so so good OMg!! I’m not really an Apple pie person but when I finish the whole thing, you know that it’s damn good!!! Worth the price! If I ever have the chance to visit Santa Margarita again, will definitely drop by this restaurant for a meal.. thank you for serving us!!

Restaurant facing the sea walk of Santa Margherita, Da Emilio offers both Pizza and typical Liguria’s dishes. We opted for these last ones taking Pansotti with nuts’ souce, and Testaroli with Pesto sauce, along with some Focaccia di Recco as entry dish. Everything was excellent to say the least!! I go to Liguria often and it’s hard to spot restaurants with such an excellent typical Liguria’s cuisine like Da Emilio. Also, all the personnel has been of extreme courtesy to us. Finally, the prices are average; the price to quality ratio is extremely satisfying. If you search for a very good restaurant in Santa Margherita, you have to definitely try this one.

The pizza were nice but not incredible, the gluten free pizza are frozen so not amazing and they told us after we were seated and ordered the drinks… They were polite but ready to clear your plate and get you out. It’s nice but we’ve had better experience in nearby places + the prices were very affordable

Again I review as a vegetarian ! Vegetarian means no animal products but cheese is okay . Anyways I always have mixed reviews of italian people sometimes I feel some are racists and some people are very nice 😊 why do these people think we will be eating for free as if they are obliging us by giving us tables. They need to be gracious and respectful of reach and everyone who is coming to there restaurants that’s how business works we had two salads very basic and pizza vegetarian and margarita .i feel they all taste pretty much same after being on road for one week :) we enjoyed and if you are in neighbour hood try it it’s good reasonably priced . I wish the waiters could be little respectful !

TERRIBLE AND RUDE STAFF. Asked for wine with apertivo and was told “we are a restaurant” (we wanted a bottle of wine and snacks) and that we won’t be served. I was happy to pay the three euro service charge (no big deal but obviously a cash grab) but to be denied as a place to have a bottiglia de vino on the Rivera, disappointing. I’ve been to countless “restaurants” just to order drinks and have always been met with graciousness. They didn’t end up charging us for the bottle of water (how nice of them). But did force us to leave and stared as we walked away… Not good for American travelers. We wish it was better. In a town filled with happy people and great restaurants I would advise a different option :)

We were seated and given menus. It was slow in the restaurant. We wanted to have dessert and a bottle of wine. The waiter or whatever he was, refused to serve us. He kept saying, "this is a restaurant, this is a restaurant." The bar is next door, took away the menus and walked away. I was shocked. The bottle of wine and 2 desserts would have been over 70 Euros. And...we are very good tippers. And....we are nice. What a despicable way to treat people. We went down the street and spent our money somewhere else. I can honestly say, that this is one of the worst experiences, I have ever had.

Should have read reviews before choosing this place on a whim.Definitely not a warm and friendly welcome. Hubby wanted a coffee but the owner gave his loud animated opinion that Italians don’t drink coffee with pizza so hubby had a coke.We ordered 2 pizzas, 4 drinks,they were good at a nice table outside. Didn’t notice there was a cover charge 4 euros/person on the menu until I got the bill inside and inquired about it to the owner- Was embarrassed as he said in front of the restaurant patrons/ staff very loudly“Well in North America you tip for service so it’s the same, you have to pay it”was an aggressive tone. We just paid and laughed it off and that was our first meal in Italy. Grazie
