A lovely restaurant with a homey atmosphere in the beautiful village of Bienno. Both the handmade casoncelli and the tagliata are delicious. Prices are average. The staff is friendly and quick, even when the restaurant is full. Definitely recommended if you're passing through or visiting the village. Edit: The pizzoccheri, ravioli, and the enormous rustic antipasto are also excellent.

Cena in famiglia. Location ottima in zona storica del paese. Piatti di pesce fresco e carne di ottima qualità. Servizio ai tavoli con personale gentile e attento. Prezzo molto buono.

Ogni tanto vado durante la pausa pranzo. Si mangia veramente bene, i piatti sono generosi, il servizio è ottimo.

In the heart of the historic center of the wonderful village of Bienno. We opted for typical local dishes and were thrilled. The food is excellent, the service is standard, but provided by smiling, very kind, and fast staff. The setting where we dined, an enclosed veranda, is standard, clean, and comfortable.

We had lunch here on Ferragosto (August 15th). Service was quick and professional, with welcoming and friendly staff. The atmosphere was simple yet refined. We chose venison with polenta, octopus salad, mushrooms to pair with the polenta, and a craft IPA called "Power Hammer," which I thoroughly enjoyed. Everything was excellent. Excellent value. Highly recommended!

Intanto ha il merito di essere l'unico ristorante aperto in zona quel venerdì sera. La location non ha nulla di particolare, ha l'aria di una pizzeria turistica, con un menu composto di piatti non locali e con molto pesce. Tuttavia i pochi piatti della tradizione del luogo sono apprezzabili. I casoncelli, va detto, ottimi! Qualche perplessità sul tagliere di salumi e sui funghi, che non ci hanno fatti impazzire. Molto disponibili e cortesi però ad aggiungerci della polenta che non era prevista, come anche ad offrirci un buon genepì. Molto buona anche la crostata ai frutti di bosco. In generale un buon servizio e cena discreta.

I went for lunch: very friendly, fast service, and the dish I ordered, a sliced ​​steak with mushrooms, was delicious. It wasn't abundant, but the meat was very good and (unsurprisingly) served on a hot iron platter. However, the prices were decidedly high for the setting. Maybe it's because the place is very trendy, but €30 for a sliced ​​steak, salad, coffee, and water seems a bit steep for a mountain restaurant. If I'd also ordered a first course or appetizer, I would have paid almost €50 without wine. €14 for a plate of casoncelli is really a lot. Moreover, the restaurant was almost full on a Wednesday lunchtime, despite the economic crisis and the average income of €1,200 declared by most Italians... 🙄
