Monkey in the City is one of those rare places that instantly feels special. Run by an amazing professional couple who truly care about what they do — every dish, every detail shows it. The food is excellent, the service even better, and the vibe is unlike anything else you’ll find in Milan. The owner has genuinely become a friend over time, which says everything about the spirit of this place.
They are a very happy, well organised family business, every meal was very tasteful and excellent service.
Let's first start with acknowledging the incredible owner, server, all-around operator of this wonderful gem of a restaurant in Milano, Isa! She and her husband, Cuban chef Pedro, run a tight ship that allows customers to enjoy amazing food in a lovely ambiance without worrying about intrusiveness while eating, yet targeted attention on one's every needs! If you're not feeling "Cuban", try their Cevicheria Batey, another gem where you can savor the delicacies of classic Peruvian ceviche and picanha and tasty anticuchos! We give them highest marks on all counts!
Really cuban restaurant. The place, the food, the cocktails, the music, the service...the perfect cuban experience in Milan, it felt like being in Havana. Please come here if you're wanting to eat cuban dishes and try cuban cocktails I recommend you to try the piña colada and the mojito.
Small restaurant with great cocktails and very interesting food options. I went for my wedding anniversary and I couldn't be more satisfied. The final touch for an incredible evening was a fantastic tasting of rhum
We had a very pleasant evening! Quality food, top-level service, nice and romantic atmosphere. I celebrated my birthday here, the amazing thing was that they played the song "Happy Birthday" and brought me tiramisu with a candle on top with the lights off. Great place, I recommend visiting!

Celebrated my birthday here last night. What can I say…everything was perfect! After having gone to the Cevicheria urbana (fabulous) a couple of months ago, we decided to try Monkey in the city and it didn’t disappoint. Delicious food, impeccable and friendly service, and wonderful atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

There is not enough starts to describe our experience , the attention to detail that we got from all the staff was superb !! so great that we went twice on the same week while visiting Milan, the décor/music/professionalism from everyone was top class and the food prepare and serve to perfection , well done Pedro and your team, looking forward to see you all on our next visit to the city.
Cute little restaurant, cuban/Spanish food, nice atmosphere and ambiance. We had a few appetizers , tamales and octopus and that was delicious! Main dish was a fried potato like base topped with pulled meat, and it was very tasty. Desert was dark chocolate 3 pieces cake, served with a glass of rum. Delicious! Good selection of wines and cocktails as well. Service was excellent!

Delicious food and exceptional service. The mojitos were as good as the ones I’ve had in Miami and the steak was perfectly cooked with a delicious mojo. A great option for visitors who want something other than Italian food but who still want to enjoy a memorable meal. Highly recommend.
