Ottimo! Il migliore ristorante Indiano che abbia provato. Accoglienza, gentilezza e disponibilità. Cibo fresco, curato e con molta offerta. Io amo il piccante ... La preparazione vindaloo è davvero piccante ma merita decisamente. Bravi. Mi raccomando prenotare! Il locale è piccolo ma molto accogliente.

Siamo stati a pranzo ,il locale è pulitissimo e curato nei dettagli ci samo fatti consigliare dal proprietario che è gentilissimo e si capisce che fa questo mestiere con dedizione e passione,più che un pranzo e'un viaggio nei sapori,torneremo sicuramente. Da consigliare

Cibo ottimo, davvero un ristorante di qualità. Consiglio a tutti quelli che vogliono provare qualcosa di etnico mantenendo standard elevati ad un prezzo più che ragionevole!

Spices and flavors are amazing. Really enjoyed every dish we ordered. The vindaloo was as hot as they warned us of when we ordered it, and we were not disappointed! Really delicious, and if you're craving something different from all of the wonderful traditional flavors of Italy, Shapla will not disappoint. The wine list leaves something to be desired but didn't have high expectations, so that was fine.

È stata un'esperienza nuova per me, non avendo mai provato questo tipo di cucina e sono rimasta piacevolmente stupita! La location è carina ma il cibo è veramente di bell'aspetto e soprattutto molto buono. Il ragazzo che ci ha serviti è molto gentile e disponibile. Senz'altro tornerò!

Shapla è un ristorante indiano davvero carino. I camerieri sono gentilissimi, il ristorante piccino con un'atmosfera molto tranquilla. I piatti hanno questo retrogusto un po' dolcino, davvero buonissimo. La qualità del cibo è ottima e così anche la varietà. Le porzioni di carne non sono particolarmente abbondanti, per lo più è salsa, i prezzi sono leggermente altini rispetto alle quantità, noi in due abbiamo speso 56€. A parte questo consigliatissimo, andateci se volete assaggiare una cucina diversa e super buona.

Siamo andati a cena. Il locale non è grande ma è pulito. Massima accoglienza e disponibilità. Il cibo è buono. Abbiamo assaggiato piatti solo vegetariani. Prezzi buoni come la qualità.

Location suggestiva ordinata. Esperienza positiva. Personale molto educato e gentile. Piatti curati e dal sapore nuovo. Un po' lunga l'attesa tra le varie portate ma non preclude la positività della serata.

Se cercate sapori autentici e un’atmosfera accogliente, questo ristorante indiano è una vera gemma! Appena entrati, sarete avvolti dai profumi delle spezie e da un arredamento che richiama le tradizioni indiane con eleganza. Ho provato il Chicken Tikka Masala: cremoso, speziato al punto giusto, accompagnato da un naan soffice e fragrante. Il dal di lenticchie era perfettamente bilanciato, e il lassi alla mango una delizia rinfrescante. Il personale è gentile e disponibile, pronto a spiegare ogni piatto e a consigliare abbinamenti. Prezzi onesti per la qualità offerta. Consiglio di prenotare, perché è molto richiesto!

Decided to have Indian food after a week of pasta and pizza. Loved the samosa, it was so tasty. I also had the vegetable biryani, so full of flavor and yummy. The spicy was perfect. The portions are a bit smaller than I expected. Also I got the bill on my table before I asked for it which wasn’t really nice and made me feel rushed. If it weren’t for that I was planning on ordering some dessert. 👍🏻

I went here with international colleagues and they like the food a lot. As this was my second time I opted for the spicy challenge which is impossible to finish! So be careful and avoid it if you want to just enjoy good food. The guy of the restaurant suggested me to not take it because it is not a game but still I wanted to try anyway. So, Mia culpa. Other than the wide variety of dishes you can also enjoy kulfi or gulab jaamun as desserts and most importantly take a lassi to compliment your dish!

Nice cozy Indian restaurant in the city center. Good service. I can't really comment on the food as it was my first Indian, but I found it tasteful if a bit too spicy for me. Still, well worth a visit, and the price was about right. Warning: if they say it's not spicy, it is. If they say it is spicy, it's very spicy :D

Siamo stati un sabato sera con mia moglie e abbiamo prenotato nel pomeriggio. Il locale è piccolo ma molto ben curato è il servizio devo dire che è stata all'altezza per ciò che riguarda il giovane cameriere. I piatti erano nella media del cibo indiano o sia molto piccanti, state attenti perché è veramente forte quindi iniziare poco alla volta. Do questo giudizio perché mi sembrava corretto Alla fine della serata presenterei uno scontrino fiscale e questo non è avvenuto se non su richiesta.

Its location is in a good spot, well connected by bus, train and subway. The neighborhood is neat and inside of the restaurant is well maintained. Reception was cordial as well. However, had a pathetic experience with food. We ordered Beef bhuna, Fish bhuna, Daal sag, plane rice, garlic bread and payesh. Payesh was great, Beef bhuna and garlic bread were okay, but they messed up with daal big time. They warmed the old (don't know how old) curry and served us. The smell was so obvious. Manager was informed and he agreed too. So gracious of him to not charge for that in the end. For fish bhuna, we had to look for small fish pieces among the plethora of onions. You'd expect a much better quantity for a 12 € dish in a neighbourhood restaurant.

If you are looking for authentic Indian and can tell the difference between when the spices when in during the cooking by eating the food - you may be better off trying some other places. I am being generous with 2 stars - primarily because of friendly staff. Rating of this place and the food don't correlate. Maybe this place works for the local palate, definitely not for the ones who knows what Indian food is supposed to taste like.

Not an Authentic Indian Resturaunt, never trust the rating of a “European” to a “non European” resturaunt, Eiropeans simply don’t understand the taste of exotic food as European food is plain and tasteless. The Service and Atmosphere was good nonetheless, the food, disappointing, portions are small, and overpriced.

To be honest, it never feels good to give a substandard review, and I tend to leave it. However, it is an expensive mistake to make and for the benefit of diners local and international, probably worthwhile to know. Their curries are a poor representation of indian food, and for the lack of competition, they've done well for themselves. The madras was pure gravy, bhuna was a bowl of soggy onions and special tikka masala was more akin to tofu in curry powder. The naan bread is a saving grace and well made, but 3-5 euros for bread 4mm thin and 10cm wide is not ideal. In fact, considering the standard of the food, 100 euros for 3 people is extortionate. I think they are genuine and obviously have significantly positive feedback overall, and are a family business, so you may want to give them the benefit of doubt, but I'd stick to Italian food in Genova if I was you.

The stars are the service and hospitality. The food was okay but far away from what indian food is supposed to be like, at least the dishes I ordered. It was quite disappointing. The samosas: the filling was good but the crust was made of something entirely different Pakoras: tasted good. But far more oily, and not crispy at all. Dal Makhani: it's supposed to be made of black lentils, not yellow. And is supposed to be creamy, not watery. Vegetable masala: the masala curry/gravy was good. I'd have preferred vegetables that are used in india, so zucchine were a strange choice. Naan: Good! Soft and crispy simultaneously, the naan were good! Halwa: it was supposed to be made of simolina, this one was orange, not brown. And didn't really have any particular flavor to it. Or any dryfruits, which is usually how one makes a rich halwa. Gulab jamun: this was the primary redeeming flavor in the lot. The syrup was the too thin but I assume thats to reduce the sweetness, so makes sense. Also, only issue with the service: the naans were served first. Then the dishes arrived about 3-5 minutes later. By the time we started eating, the naans were getting cold already. I'd have preferred the reverse order, since curries take much longer to cool down, assuming bringing it all together is not viable for some reason. I've been living in and travelling in Europe for a few years and this was probably the least indian food among the high end restaurants I've visited. Final verdict: the food is decent. Just, so widely different from the authentic cuisine, that one questions: at what point does it become a different cuisine altogether.

service was friendly but food wasn’t at all good. we ate veg variants of the curries. Both rather something which we would have made much better at home. Good business model to have different curry base with different meats/veg but has nothing to do with indian food. We live and travel in/around Europe so we don’t expect “authentic” indian food but this sadly was the furthest away we were ever been. 2 stars for service and ambience

Bad and does not provide the menu requests. Moreover, the cashier’s treatment is very bad and rude. He is Bangladeshi. Very bad. I do not recommend visiting it at all.

The worst Indian food I’ve ever had. Butter chicken tasted like carrot-sweet potato baby food with pieces of chicken in it. The naan bread wasnt soft and it was very thin. The service was good, the waiters were nice and the food came rather quickly.

I came here about 3 years ago and I remember the food was good but the portions were small for the price. After 3 years the portions are still small but the quality dropped. The butter chicken and the chicken tika masala were sweet. We brought this up with the manager which immediately dismissed our concerns saying that Indian food can be cooked in many ways. None of us (we were 3) were happy with the food in the end. There are better places to go if you're looking for Indian food in Genova.

Was here on a calm Sunday evening. The restaurant staff seemed to be extremely occupied and messed up the order. The naan was cold and the biryani took forever. Had to remind the staff twice for the lassi. Was charged 45€ for a meal for two. My annoyance was with the receipts. The restaurant only provided a 'preconti'. They do not provide a proper printed receipt 'il conto dettagliato/ fiscal' mentioning the TVA, service charges etc. The staff did not budget upon requesting. Being tourists, we left without kicking up a stink. Please double check your bill here.
